Cato Neimoidia seeming in the crossfires of the Separatists and the Jedi, Anakin and Ahsoka seemed all the more ready to take down the invasion alongside the small batch of clones.
Taking down missiles in their ships had been the easiest part, despite the buzzdroids latching onto Anakin's
"Some day these droids are gonna realize they keep messing with the wrong Jedi." Anakin taking most off his ship wings with the Force, growing impatient at his predicament while Ahsoka had been able to avoid having droids on her ship
"You always have it easy, Snips." he joked, confident they could win the day
The sound of drilling caught his attention, the bottom of his ship had been compromised by those damn droids
"Your trailing smoke." Ahsoka noticed "What's wrong?"
"Nothing serious." he promised, fumbling with the ship controls "Just a simple malfunction." another flash and pop of his ship sent his head backwards, knocking him unconscious
The ship still drifting as Artoo blipped letting Ahsoka know of Anakin's condition "Tip your wing let me see how bad it is."
It clicked once she saw how many of those droids had been able to overtake his ship "Oh that's not good."
She instructed Artoo to attempt landing Anakin's ship to the nearby cliffedge, Artoo's panicky bloops coming through claiming it wouldn't be enough room to land
"Get that ship down." she almost demanded as Artoo took the order, she considered her options
"R7 take control of the ship, I'm going after Anakin. Somebody has to save his skin."
The rescue has been quick, her leaping from her own ship, cutting the hatch door open on Anakin's ship and leaping to a safer spot on the cliffedge as Anakin's flagship had fallen from the cliff, R2 attached as Ahsoka leapt up panicked for her droid friend
His chuckle as he appeared at the edge of the cliff, hovering over to the both of them left Ahsoka smirking "Very funny, R2."
"Are you alright Master?" she asked as Anakin had regained consciousness "What I miss?"
"Oh..Not much."
"How'd I get here?" he asked, slightly annoyed at the idea of him missing a good fight
"Fighter crashed, I saved the day. Your welcome." she answered quickly, Anakin watching her walk away with a smirk "Alright."
Once he'd gotten to his feet, he figured they couldn't do much on the cliff, he got in contact with Rex "We might need a little help."
"On it." he promised as they waited to be picked up
Master Yoda had appeared not long after the message had been relayed, his holographic looking grim "Return to the Temple you must. An attack on the Temple there has been."
Once they'd arrived to Coruscant, the Temple being up in smoke left an uneasy tightness in Anakin's throat, this had been in his night terror, smoke and bodies collecting at his feet
"I can still hear the screams." he admitted, he and Ahsoka investigating the scene of the crime
"Do you really think a Jedi could do this?" Ahsoka questioned, looking around
"Not every Jedi agrees with this war. There are plenty of political idealists among us."
After pinpointing the originator of the bombing, Jackar Bowmani had only been a hand in locating the actual suspect literally all that was left of him was his hand as Anakin and Ahsoka took to searching his residence
They had found his home abandoned, barren as they scanned for any traces of the nano droids
His wife had barged into their searching demanding why they had intruded, questioning why they had been trying to frame his death on her
"Nobody ever said he was dead." Anakin certain as her demeanor dropped immediately
"You set up your own husband to die?" Ahsoka incredulous as Letta continued to deny involvement
"Did you feed the nano-droid to Jackar?" Anakin's tone cold and scary as he took to nearly cornering the woman "You will answer me now!" he roared his patience at an end
"I did feed the droids to Jackar." she admitted, Ahsoka quick to cuff her as they both took her back to the Temple for questioning
Figuring they had the culprit in custody, Ahsoka had been asked by Letta directly that she and her speak
"I'll report back with whatever I find out." she promised as she had walked away from the briefing regarding the entire situation
"You don't have much time Letta, so I suggest you get whatever you have to say off your chest."
"My life is in danger." she admitted "The person behind this will get to me unless you know the truth."
"A Jedi showed me how to create the bomb., how to put the nano droids in."
"Why would a Jedi do this?" Ahsoka asked in disbelief, not ready to believe anything she was saying
"One of you wanted to make a statement. The Jedi have become war mongers instead of keeping the peace."
"They were willing to attack your own order to do it."
"Who?" she wondered aloud as Letta's eyes darted around in panic
"Letta you have to tell me who is behind this." Ahsoka keeping eye contact with her, assuring she'd keep it between them
Unfortunately Ahsoka wouldn't get that answer as Letta had began to struggle suspended in the air
Ahsoka recognized Anakin using this tactic as a means to gain information, he'd ensured he kept the person alive afterward
Ahsoka seemed helpless as she watch Letta's life be taken from her, landing on the floor of her cell with a thud
No sooner had she scrambled hoping Letta was still alive, clones had entered the cell
"I don't know what happened. " Ahsoka admitted panicked, one trooper confirming Letta's death as the other held a blaster to her head "Your under arrest."
