I was in shock.

"You want to marry me?" I whispered. "Even with the—"

"We've been over this." Kenshin chuckled. "We need each other. This one wants to do it up proper."

I held out my hand. I was tired. Tired of fighting his love for me. Tired of trying to run from it. It was time I embraced it.

"Yes!" He slipped a ring on my finger.

"What about children?" I whispered. "What if I can't—"

"You can get pregnant." He smiled softly. "We know the proof of this, you still cycle like a woman should."

"Kenshin!" Kuri smacked him.

"Seriously." Kenshin said. "After your remission, we'll hold off on the surgery until you have a baby or two. And then we'll do the surgery. You'll be ok. You'll live."

Kuri breathed a sigh of relief. "We'll have a baby. Two or three if you want."

"As many as you like." Kenshin kissed her.
