5 years later. (Day before Graduation)

Shizukana's P.O.V:

I woke up to my alarm beeping. Letting out a sigh, I dragged my body out of bed and moved to the bathroom to get changed.

Eight years have passed since my parents died, but that hasn't stopped me from training to be the best of my abilities. I am at a very high level of Taijutsu (close to mastery). The way I've reached where I am is by wearing 20 kg weights on both my wrists and my ankles. At this point, I can move faster than any Chunin even with them on.

As well as Taijutsu, I've gotten the Chakra natures down to-the-point as well as my Ninjutsu. I know how to use all 5 styles, though wood was a bit tricky to figure out. Since I didn't have a teacher for any of this, I had to rely on books, which can only teach so much. If I get the chance, I'd like to see if I can find someone with a wood style. As for Ninjutsu, well, memorizing the hand signs was a sinch. While I was here, my mind and body seem to have become one, each relying on each other for protection. This made it extremely easy for me to do Ninjutsu moves.

For puppetry, I practiced a lot with Karito and can manipulate him with ease. I made my own jutsu, which helps me put Karito on a sort of autopilot. It's not like the jutstu gives Karito a mind of its own, but it allows for Karito to continue moving as I focus on doing something else. I call it Wind Style: Reapers Dance. What it does is manipulate the winds current to move Karito's strings in a specific direction for me. If I want to create a distraction, I will move the wind in a way that makes Karito take the opponent's full concentration.

But you must be wondering how I managed to master all of this within 5 years. Well, simply with the help of my Time manipulation. Ever since I woke up to that mind-altering incident with time, I dug a little deeper and experimented. The marks represent what stage I am in. Yes, what stage. Let me explain, this ability has 3 stages.

Stage 1: Allows me to slow down or speed up time. I can select a small area to slow or speed time, but it's much harder. It gives me three red dots underneath both my eyes. For some reason, I find no limit to the amount of time I can do this for. I guess it's until I run out of chakra, but I've never had that happen.

Stage 2: Allows me to stop time completely. I am able to pause a moment in time for the entire world (strange, I know). It gives me some extra red markings around my face. Again, I haven't found a time limit on this one either.

Stage 3: Allows me to rewind or fast-forward a moment in time. Like how you rewind an old Cassette. This can apply to the whole world in general or to one specific area or person. It gives me some red and blue markings. I found this out when I accidently broke Taka-kun's favorite mug. He doesn't know (and probably never will).

Being totally blunt, it's quite scary using this kind of power. But I think the god (or whatever being that put me here) didn't want to leave me empty-handed. And this has given me a major advantage. You see, I have slowed-down time for (if you're counting) about 4 hours a day, every day, for the past 5 years. Approximately 20 years' worth of time. And I'm still only 12. So, the skill level I'm at is the same as a highly trained 32-year-old. I guess I really did live past 23, just not in the way one would expect.

I also decided: I won't tell anyone about the time-stopping thing. People will only know about how I excel in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu.

I stepped out of the bathroom and put on my usual outfit. It consisted of a green and white kimono top with no sleeves as well as a pair of back leggings. Around my waist was an orangey colored cloth-belt that fit snuggly. My hair was braided into its normal fashion: snaking my thin hair from one side of my head to the other, falling over my left shoulder. As I left the apartment, I slipped my weapon's pouch onto my leg and grabbed the lunch I had packed the night before.

On my way to the academy, I noticed that the road was filled with smiling people. They must be excited to celebrate the graduation of our class tomorrow. Halfway through my journey, I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I spun around to find Hinata standing behind me.

"Good morning Hinata-chan," I said to her. She smiled in response. The both of us continued our journey, talking to each other. She brought up the new bakery she had seen along the way.

"...And it was filled with all sorts of pastries," she said with excitement in her voice.

"They might have good business in the future," I replied.

We arrived at the Academy within around 8 minutes. My seat next to Shino was already taken, so I sat next to Hinata instead. A little while later, Iruka Sensei came in and began the lesson. He was teaching about the transformation Jutsu when the door burst open and Chunin ran in, covered in what appeared to be paint. He whispered something to Iruka Sensei and both of them took off. I narrowed my eyes at that.

Where did they run off to?

As I scanned the class, I found something that may be the cause of this disturbance. Naruto Uzumaki was missing.

Must be wreaking havoc in the village.

I turned to face Hinata and frowned when I saw her worried face.

"Something wrong?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "Just worried about Naruto-kun."

I chuckled. "Hinata, don't worry. He will be fine."

She smiled at me. Oh, an innocent soul. The door burst open for a second time and Iruka Sensei entered with Naruto tied in ropes.

"... is the last straw! You failed the graduation 2 times before and this is your last try. No more fooling around." Iruka Sensei threw Naruto into one of the spare desks and cut his ropes off. He then proceeded to the front of the class. The blond-haired boy just huffed and slouched in his chair. Iruka Sensei smirked.

"Alright, since he missed it, the whole call must review the Transformation Jutsu. Hurry up form a line."

The whole class groaned. I walked and joined the line right after Sasuke.

"Sakura Haruno," Sensei called out.

A pink-haired girl stepped forward. Future team sevens female member-

She stood before our Sensei and transformed into Iruka. Iruka Sensei nodded before writing something on his paper.

"Did you see that Sasuke-kun?" Sakura said, desperately trying to catch the Uchiha's attention. But the boy just ignored her.

Little idiots. He doesn't give a damn about you, so why are you trying?

"Sasuke Uchiha."

Sasuke went forward and transformed into Iruka Sensei. Iruka Sensei muttered "good" before writing on his paper again.

"Shizukana Tori." I heard my name and stepped forward. Without wasting any time, I transformed into Iruka Sensei. I didn't bother to transform into someone more creative, I just wanted to get this over with. He nodded before doing his thing, and I stepped back into line.

"Naruto Uzumaki."

Groans and murmurs were heard. Naruto stepped forward and transformed into a teenage, naked, female version of himself. Gasps were heard as Iruka Sensei fell backward with a nose bleed. What a pervert. Naruto, however, laughed as he transformed back to himself. Iruka Sensei, covering his nose, got up and yelled at Naruto for messing up the jutsu, even though he had essentially done what Iruka had asked.

The rest of the day went by and it was time to go home. As always, I made my way to Taka-kun's shop. The door jingled as I entered. Inside, the store was filled with all sorts of weapons. Shurikens and kunai were arranged in neat rows on shelves. Swords lined all of the red-painted walls, and there was a wide variety of other weapons such as axes and scythes. The front window displayed a variety of pretty swords this month.

I went and sat behind the counter. Pulling out a bingo book I 'borrowed' from Taka-kun, I read through each of the pages, taking in the information on the highlighted ninjas. Though it wasn't required, I found it useful to know. Just in case I ever ran into one.

Suddenly, a crash was heard from behind the back door. I put the book down and went to investigate. As I pushed the door open, I was surprised to find a long box neatly wrapped with black ribbons sitting neatly behind it. And right behind it was Taka-kun. I raised an eyebrow at his devilish smile.

"What's going on?" I asked, a hint of laughter in my tone. Taka-kun wasn't one for surprises, even on my "birthday" he straight up gave me a gift of new shurikens or a pretty mug. This was something else-

"Open it," he said gesturing to the box. I started to unwrap it.

"I swear if its a prank, you are gonna regret it-"

He gasped. "Shi-chan, I would never do that." His childish voice put me on edge. But when I opened the box, I was surprised to find a beautiful Katana inside. I raised it up and watched as the light reflected from its blade. It has a green and white handle and its blade was double-edged with a sharp gleam.

"It conducts both lightning and wind chakra, so you can use it. The handle provides a rough grip and the blade can cut through anything. Made it myself. Think of it as a Graduation Gift," he explained proudly. I laid it down on the table and looked at him.

"But, I don't know how to use it."

I never did learn to wield weapons as well as mastering chakra or taijutsu. I only had those lessons at school and a couple from Taka-kun, but those were just basics. We never got into it much.

He waved his hands. "Oh please. You can master it within a week."

True~

I shrugged. I put the sword back in the box and walked towards him. "Thank you," I said and gave him a hug. He smiled.

"No problem, Shi-chan."

Next day-

Graduation

This morning was like any other: I woke up, got dressed, and left for the academy. When I got to the classroom, I sat next to Shino in the back. My favorite spot. He nodded at my arrival and I smiled in response.

"Nervous?" a familiar voice asked from my right. It turned around to look at Shikamaru.

"No. What about you?" I asked. He didn't reply, rather, shrugged before heading back to his seat.

Iruka Sensei came and explained the rules of the test before calling each of the students into the hallway, presumably to a different room where the test would commence. Basically, when we arrived we would be asked to perform a jutsu. When we finished, we would NOT return to the class, rather, meet our parents outside.

None of us knew what the test would be on, he only told us it would be on a jutsu. Naruto, of course, was freaking out because he wasn't good with his chakra control. However, I was more confused as to why we were only taking a jutsu test. Gennin weren't supposed to be extremely strong (they were the second-lowest rank next to academy student), but that didn't mean every one of them excelled in chakra-control. If I vaguely remember, there was one kid that shows up during the Chunin exams and only uses Taijutsu? I assumed there would be some other tests and they would average it out. Also, if just showing one justu was enough to become Gennin level, I would have asked to take this test 6 years ago.

Shino went first.

"Good luck," I muttered towards him and he nodded his head.

Many other students went in after Shino finished. It only took about, on average, 6 minutes (I counted), and I think 2 of them were spent going and coming back from the classroom. Obviously, this test was designed to be easy. But why...

When my name was called, I stood up and smiled at Hinata and Shikamaru who both wished me good luck. As I walked to the front door of the classroom, I meet the eyes of Iruka Sensei, who led me to the classroom. Inside the classroom was a Chunin, who was waiting for Iruka Sensei to get back. My calculations were off, only 45 seconds were spent getting to the classroom, but that didn't really matter. What mattered was that I now needed to perform whatever test they asked me.

"Shizukana, form three clones," Iruka Sensei instructed. I nodded. My hands formed the correct signs and three similar shadow clones appeared behind me. Both of them nodded.

"You pass. Congratulations," Iruka Sensei said, giving me a blue headband. I frowned.

"Do you have them in green?" I asked. He nodded pulling out a box with green headbands. I smiled, taking one and putting it on my forehead as a sign of accomplishment.

When I walked out of the door, I took a glimpse outside the nearest window. The front yard was packed with parents, relatives, and siblings, each holding a look of pride on their faces. I was about to walk home, but I noticed a familiar face in the crowd.

He came.

He ran towards me and I smiled unconsciously. "Shi-chan you passed!" he screamed like a child, making everyone around the area look at him. I laughed.

"Hmmm, you doubted my skills?" I asked jokingly. He chuckled ruffling my hair.

On the way home, we bought Sushi to celebrate at home. A fun fact to mention: we never go out to eat. We always bring the food home to enjoy. I don't like eating out since it makes me feel uncomfortable, and Taka-kun doesn't like the crowd. So, as always, we ate the sushi at the house and went to our own separate apartments. It was early, so I decided to stay awake for a while longer. But soon enough, I found myself passed out in bed.

The next day, I woke up and got ready for the Academy. After doing what I always do (clean my face and teeth, dress, and eat), I stepped out of the apartment. In the corridor of the building, I met Taka-kun, who was also leaving the building. Odd... he's never up at this time.

"Ahhh Shi-chan. Hope you get a good team," he said with a smile before rushing off. I nodded and waved goodbye.

When I reached the academy, I was surprised (and annoyed) to find all the seats were taken except the seats next to the Uchiha.

Shouldn't have taken the detour just to avoid the two squealing banshees-

I calmly walked over to him, trying not to make myself noticeable, and sat down. He glanced at me for a moment before going back to his brooding. But before even a minute had passed, the door was flung open and a bright-colored blob entered. This caused a shock to fall over the classroom: Naruto had actually passed?

Shika-kun walked towards Naruto and began questioning him about why he was here. Naruto pointed at his headband and spoke about how 'the headband was made for him.'

I just ignored it.

Naruto then glared at the Uchiha and the raven-haired boy just ignored him. However, as much as I would have loved the day to go smoothly, that was not meant to be. Because just after Naruto arrived, the door banged open a second time and a loud yell was heard. I looked at the door to find Sakura and Ino arguing about who arrived first. After squeezing their way through the skinny doorframe, the pair turned and ran towards where Sasuke sat. And then glared at me. I raised my eyebrow before sighing.

The seat.

"Hey Snow Face, get out of my chair," the bubblegum haired girl spat in my face.

Yes, Snow Face is my Nickname. But my hair isn't on my face. It's on my head. God-

I looked at her, unamused, before looking back down at my desk. I heard some commotion about kicking Naruto out of the seat over, but kept my head down. This was when I realized that I felt someone watching us. More like I felt like Taka-kun was laughing at me. My head snapped to the top corner of the class and I narrowed my eyes.

Right... The part where the Hokage and his Jonin watch the class. That's why Taka-kun left the house this early- he was dressed too nicely just for the shop.

I eyed the place for a little longer before turning around. To my surprise, I found Sasuke and Naruto kissing.

Kissing? Didn't know they were Gay-

3rd person P.O.V Hokage Tower-

The Hokage and the Jonin were looking through a glass ball in the middle of a wooden table. First, the glass focused on the Uchiha. He was brooding in his chair when a girl around his age walked over to him and sat down. He only glanced at her before returning to his angered demeanor.

"Is he the Uchiha Survivor?" Kurenai asked. The Hokage nodded and replied in his old, scratchy voice.

"He is also the best rookie of the year."

The glass' view then moves to a blond-haired boy who had just burst through the door triumphantly.

"That's Naruto Uzumaki," the Hokage explained, "The nine tails jinchuriki. Also the dead-last of the class."

The boy was glaring at the Uchiha, who pretended not to see, but it was blatantly obvious. The glass then focused on the white-haired girl who was sitting calmly next to the two angry boys. Kurenai gasped upon seeing her.

"Is she the..." she trailed off. The Hokage nodded.

"Yes, she is Shizukana Tori."

Kurenai nodded, paying close attention to the girl on the screen. It had been a long time since she had seen the girl from the incident so many years ago.

Suddenly, the door of the class was thrown open for a second time. Two angry girls entered, arguing over the seat the white-haired girl was currently sitting in. They must not have seen her at first, for they then rushed towards the Uchiha and had faces of shock and rage at the scene before them. They had been beaten: neither of them had won the seat they'd hoped for.

"Looks like the Uchiha has Fangirls," Asuma joked, "Miss them Kakashi?" Everyone in the room chuckled, but they quieted down when Kakashi glared at them with his one visible eye. They all turned back to the glass.

The pink-haired girl began speaking to Shizukana in a venomous tone. "Hey Snow face, get out of my seat." Takada Yukimura, in turn, giggled at the nickname. Shizukana did not react to this nickname, rather, ignored it as the Uchiha did. But what shocked everyone in the room was when the white-haired girl snapped her neck to directly look into the glass.

Many gasps were heard in the room.

"Can she see the glass?" Kakashi asked. The Hokage, looking a bit shocked himself, shook his head no.

"No one can sense the glass, not even me," he stated, his face contorting into wonder. Everyone was amazed at the girl's weird incident. If not even the Hokage could sense this glass, how could this girl?

The scene before them changed to the Uzumaki and the Uchiha kissing each other, causing another ruckus in the room.

Shizukana's P.O.V. (in the class)

The two boys were gagging. I smirked at that, it was funny to watch. From the corner of my eye, I could see all the Fangirls going insane. Obviously, this did not go over well with them. And I knew what was going to happen next. Angry fangirls + stealing Sasuke Uchiha's first kiss = beating up Naruto. That was simple math to calculate.

Just as they began to beat up the blond-haired kiss-stealer, Iruka Sensei entered. He began telling everyone to calm down, pulling the savage girls from Naruto like leaches. When everything became normal again and people returned to their seats, Sensei cleared his throat.

"Congratulations to you all for passing the exam. Now, becoming a Genin is just the start of becoming a ninja. Becoming a true ninja means that there will be many hardships in your future," he paused, looking at all of us, "Which is why we have genin teams. Three Genin will be instructed by a Jonin leader who will aid you in the upcoming missions until you graduate Chunin. This way, you will learn about Teamwork. Now, I will call your teams."

He started calling names and the team's Jonin instructors.

Alright, if everything goes to plan, then the three rookie teams (7, 8, and 10) will be as cannon suggests. I will most likely be placed in another team, like 3 or 5. I'll try to pass the test, or probably come back and try next time. I know it's surprising to say, but I will NOT interfere with the Cannon-

"Team seven will consist of Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke..." Iruka Sensei said. Just as I was about to relax, something unexpected happened.

"...and Shizukana Tori."

My heart stopped working. My eyes widened. My breath shortened.

What the actual Hell-

A/N. Yay... Plot begins. What happens to Sakura? Sorry guys, but I didn't want to have 4 people in Team seven. Also, what do you think would happen in the future?

This chapter is pretty long. Quotev doesn't allow you to add more than one pic in a chapter, so yhe outfit will be in the next chapter. Also, I DON'T OWN ANY PICTURES. I DON'T EVEN OWN NARUTO. I JUST MAKE FANFICTION.

ciao...
