Chapter 9: Wake Up!

Uzume's POV

"Hello, 'Me'."

I suddenly woke up in a black space with someone that looks exactly like me but has dark blue hair.

"Who are you?"

"Didn't you know? "I'm you, 'Me'."

"Stop giving me crap! I said who the hell are you?!"

"Never seem to listen, don'tyou? 'Me'?" The girl said tauntly. "You're going to find out sooner or later. And when you do, we will have our revenge."

"Revenge? What the hell are you talking about?" I asked in frustration.

She didn't answer, she only laughed…

And laughed…

And laughed…

And…

I woke up from the start with sweat dripping from my face.

It was that dream again… I thought. Who was that? Telling me that she is "Me."

I cried out in absolute frustration. Argh! This is so confusing!

I slowly stood up from my bed and walked outside my room where a note was taped on my door.

What is it this time, Dad? I thought as I grabbed the note, it reads:

Make sure you wake up Neptune and get her ready as early as possible. Also, make sure she doesn't get lost when she goes and comes from school. I made some breakfast for both of you so you don't have to worry.

Love, Dad

I read these words out loud and groan. Yeah, whatever you say, Dad…

I walked down to Nepsy's room and opened the door. There I see her still sleeping.

I guess I have to wake her up…

"Hey, Wake up!" I said as I shook her. "It's time to go to school!"

Nepsy, however, was still asleep. Talking about pudding or something.

Wow! She's a deep sleeper… Then a thought came to mind. Hehe I got an idea.

I ran back into my room to grab the one thing that is so special to me.

The megaphone…

I walked back into her room, turned it on, put close to my mouth, and yelled.

WAKE UP!

*Thump*

"Ow, my ears…" Nepsy groaned, covering her ears.

"That is what you get for not waking up." I said with a disappointing face. "Either way, you need to get prepared for school."

"Huh? What!?" Nepsy yelled out. "My ears are ringing! Wait, I think it stops now!" She then lowered her hands. "What did you say again?!"

"I said to get ready for school." I said. "You seriously need to get an alarm clock."

"Yeah, if I had money for it." Nepsy said, slowly standing up. "I guess I'll get prepared."

"Yeah and meet me downstairs after you're done." After I said that, I went back to my room and changed into my school uniform. I grabbed my bag and then headed downstairs to sit at the dining table and eat my food while looking down at it.

I could have cooked something myself… I thought. I guess I'm already bored or something…

"So Uzume, what is your school like?"

I looked up and stood up in shock. Nepsy was already there, sitting in the chair in front of me.

"What the…? How did you…?" I stuttered out.

"Oh that…" She said with a smug look on her face. "I guess I was way too quiet for even you to hear or that you have hearing loss or something."

"Huh? What!? I don't have hearing loss, stupid!" I said angrily. "And stop acting smug!"

"Yeah, whatever…" She said with the same smug expression and then she asked. "So, what is your school like?"

"Hm?" I thought for a moment. "Well, it's kinda boring actually…"

"Oh really?" She said thoughtfully.

"Yeah, but you shouldn't worry about that." I scratch the back of my head. We both finished with our breakfast and I then checked the time on my watch. "Okay Nepsy, we should go now. Follow me so you don't get lost."

Nepsy nodded as we both stood up, put on our shoes, and headed out the door. When we both got there…

The whole world changed for a little bit. Everything was destroyed, including the school.

It doesn't surprise me anymore. I thought as it turned back to normal.

"Hey Uzume?" She looked at me. "Why did the school look destroyed earlier?"

What!? She saw that too!? I thought in absolute shock. So I'm not crazy…

"Um, are you okay?" She asked softly.

"No, it's fine." I simply said. "Make sure you go to the Faculty office. I'll talk to you later."

I then ran into the school and went to my class.

Neptune's POV

That was weird. I thought. Did she see what I saw?

I shook that thought off and looked at the school.

The school itself looked kinda big and looked kinda like a normal school should be. Although I haven't gone to school, this looks kinda intimidating.

Hearthstone High School… I thought. I guess this is the first step of going to school.

I stepped in and thought. This looks bigger than I thought!

Guess I have to go to the Faculty office…

I asked a few students where the faculty office was. They pointed me in the right direction and I headed in there.

There I found a teacher there that seems weird.

The woman had light short brown hair and brown eyes. She wears a dark blue suit and black shoes.

"You're the new student, correct?" She asked.

l nodded and she looked at her papers.

"I see…" She said in complete boredom. "Let see…You're Neptune Tennouboshi… 10th grade, correct?"

I nodded again as an answer.

"Now, let's see which class you are in…" She said as she skimmed the paper she had in her hand. "You're in my class…"

Wow, what a coincidence…

"Either way, I'm Ms. Yamato." She said. "Welcome to our school."

"It's nice to meet you." I greeted her back with less enthusiasm.

"Not much enthusiasm…" She said. "Either way, follow me to my class."

I nodded again and followed her to the class labeled "Class 1-A." When we enter the classroom, Ms. Yamato took her place at the podium while I wrote my the board before turning to my class.

So many unfamiliar people. I thought as I scanned the room. Wait, is that Uzume!?

My eyes weren't tricking me, the girl that sat in the back was Uzume with two empty seats side by side.

Wow, the writer really likes coincidences…

"Before we start, I want to introduce a new student here. Go on." She said to the class before she glanced at me.

"Hello, my name is Neptune Tennouboshi. It's nice to meet you." I said.

And I already heard muttering around the other students.

"What heck is that name?"

"She looks kinda weird, you know?"

"What's with that purple hair?"

"She looks kinda cute, ya know?"

"I hope she is not like her…"

"Quiet, she'll hear you!"

"Okay everyone, settled down!" Ms. Yamato said and everyone quieted down. "You can sit next to the left of Tennouboshi-san."

I nodded and walked to my chair and sat down. I looked at Uzume and she looked really annoyed.

I guess she's upset now…
