In the gaming area, Kai was about to play his game when Lloyd comes up behind him.
"Hey, Kai! Ha. Saw Cole beat your high score. You should have seen it. It was pretty spectacular" Lloyd says
"Uh, you must be talking about Sitar Legend. This is Fist to Face 2. No one beats me on my game" Kai boasts
"Huh. Could be wrong. See ya!" Lloyd whistles as he walks away.
Kai checks the high score on his game and finds the Black Ninja's profile on the scores: 9370, 7277, 5759, 4209, and 3224.
"Huh? Cole!" Kai shouts angry
In the kitchen, Cole is preparing dinner.
"Mm-mm! Violet Berry Soup, my culinary achievement. If the recipe is not followed exactly..." Cole tries a bit, but screams from the taste.
Lloyd looks in "By the way, I saw Jay spice things up. I told him not to, but he said your cooking could use it. Bye, Cole!" He leaves.
Cole spits out the taste "Jay!"
On the upper deck, Jay has kendo gear on as he prepares for his routine with a Sparring Robot.
Jay gets out his nunchucks "Let's ease our way into this. How about level 2, shall we?"
He turns the sparring bot on, but it soon comes up to level 9.
Lloyd whistles "Hey, Jay. I saw Zane try to repair the sparring bot earlier. Isn't that your expertise? Later, bro" He once again whistles as he leaves.
"Wait! What?" Jay tries to turn the sparring bot off, but it laughs as it starts hitting him. "No! No! Zane!"
Zane, in his pajamas is about to hang his laundry as Lloyd came up to him, whistling.
"Hello, Lloyd. What brings you up here this fine morning?" Zane asks happily
"Kai wanted me to pick up his Ninja suit. He said he threw it in with your whites" Lloyd searches the laundry and finds it "Here it is. Thanks" He leaves
Confused, Zane gets out one of his Ninja suits and discovers it is now pink and gets angry.
Lloyd walks into Aria's room "hey Aria, Kai wanted me to give you your locket back. He said he had to borrow it"
Aria sat up in bed and looked over at her dresser where Lloyd set it down and quickly left. Aria stood up and picked up the pieces of her locket, it was broken. Her eyes glowed purple as she walked out the door.
Downstairs the ninja were arguing.
"You couldn't just be happy with the top score. You had to rub it in my face!" Kai shouts
"Do you know how long it took me to make that? Three days. Three days!" Cole shouts
"It's an unsaid law, okay? You don't touch a man's robot!" Jay shouts
"How am I supposed to strike fear in this?" Zane takes out his ruined Ninja suit "It's pink!"
Master Wu enters as the Ninja argue with each other before opening the bathroom door, where Lloyd was hiding and he laughs evilly. The Ninja looked and saw the spices that he used to ruin Cole's soup, some tools he used to damage Jay's robot and the detergent he used to ruin Zane's Ninja suits.
Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane gasped "You did this?"
"Boys, I get first dibs" Cole goes up to Lloyd to punish him.
Wu stopped Cole "No dibs. I put him up to this for today's lesson. I wanted to show you the destructive power of rumors and that jumping to conclusions can only lead to trouble. Did you ever think to find out if the accusations were true?"
"Uh, no offense, Sensei, but let me jump to this conclusion: today's lesson is lame" Cole said
"Yeah, why can't you just teach us to paralyze your enemy with one finger, or find out if a man is lying by the twitch of his nose?" Jay questions
Wu sighs "Because not all lessons are about fighting. And I misplaced my lesson book"
Kai walked over to Lloyd and took Wu's lesson book out of Lloyd's back pocket "You mean this lesson book?"
Lloyd looked annoyed "It was the perfect plan until—"
The ninjas all jumped back when a knife lodges into the wall next to Lloyd. Lloyd shouts and hides behind Wu.
"That almost killed me" Lloyd says
"Next time I won't miss" the ninjas look at the door to see Aria holding throwing knifes, her eyes were glowing purple, she looks pissed.
"woah woah woah!" Kai shouts surprised "creepy purple glowing eyes"
"Aria it was just a prank" Jay says trying to calm her down
"this is NOT just a prank!" Aria shouts and she threw another knife at Lloyd, Wu catches it
Wu quickly runs over to her and taps her chest with the end of his staff. He caught her when she falls forwards and helps her stand back up.
"What happened Sensei?" Aria asks, her eyes were back to it's normal green color
The rest of the ninjas stare at them. How could she forget?
"Do not worry about it, now what happened?" Wu asks calmly
Aria wipes the tears from her eyes and holds out her broken locket.
"I see" Wu says sadly "I'm sorry"
Kai walks over and takes it "don't worry kiddo, I fixed a locket before I think I can fix yours too"
"Really?" Aria asks hopefully "thank you" she hugs him
"So what was up with the glowy eye trick?" Jay asks kind of freaked out
"The what?" Aria questions confused
"Never mind that" Wu quickly interrupts "Aria you should go back upstairs and get changed"
Aria looks down at herself still in her pajamas, she makes a squeak sound and runs back up the stairs.
"Sensei what is wrong?" Zane asks "that hasn't happened before"
"yeah you clearly know something we don't" Kai says
"so spill it Sensei" Cole crosses his arms
Wu sighs "Aria's elemental power is unstable, they were sealed long ago by her father, every now and then if her emotions are strong her power leaks out. That is why her eyes were glowing that dark purple color, it was her elemental powers"
"Seal her powers?" Kai questions "why would her father do that?"
"for his own power" Wu answers "and for her safety, the power is dangerous for a child"
"Sensei.. what is Aria's elemental power?" Zane asks
"That I cannot answer" Wu places his hands behind his back "it is not time"
Nya voice was heard over the speaker "If you're done fooling around, I could use you guys on the bridge. We do still have a snake problem to attend to. Over and out!"
Kai groans "Ok it's one thing to let the son of your nemesis live with you. But having my sister here? I mean, come on! I thought this was a Ninja headquarters"
Nya came back on the speaker "You do know I can hear you... over and out!"
Kai slaps his head before the Ninja go to the bridge, Aria meeting them there, now dressed.
"Last we heard of Pythor, he stole the Map of Dens from Lloyd and is now on his way to open the last two Serpentine tombs" Nya informed them
"Ugh, don't remind me" Lloyd groans
"Pythor's out most dangerous threat. If he finds those tombs before we do, with his intellect and all four tribes unleashed, there's no telling what he'll do" Wu says
Jay sighs "But those tombs could be anywhere. Without the map, we might as well just throw darts at a map"
"Good idea. Why don't we?" Nya throws two darts at a map "These are the two locations of the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre tombs, and this is Pythor's tomb" she places another dart on the ma, after many hours of ruminating on why the tombs were placed in these three precise locations, I discovered a secret pattern. If you notice, all three are in line with the Ninjago symbol for serpent"
"So the last two tombs should be here and here" Kai says pointing at them
"There's little time. Kai, Jay, and Aria you head to the Venomari Tomb. Cole and Zane, you take the Constrictai Tomb. And take this" Wu hands them the sacred flute "You might need it if you run into Pythor. Good luck, Ninja"
"And what am I gonna do?" Nya asked
"Yeah, what are we gonna do?" Lloyd questions earning a look from Nya
"Nya, I need you here to make sure Lloyd doesn't get into any more trouble" Wu said
"Yes, Sensei" Nya agrees annoyed
Cole smirks "Alright let's go, boys-
"hey!"
"and girl" Cole adds "We got some snakes to club"
On their Blade Cycle and Storm Fighter, Kai and Jay arrive at The Toxic Bogs. Aria was riding with Kai. They stop to observe the acid lakes.
"We're going to have to go the rest of the way by swinging across the vines" Aria says
"Good idea" Kai agrees
After going across the vines the three find the Venomari Tomb's entrance, but when Jay opens it they find the tomb is already empty.
"We're too late" Aria says sadly
"That can't be right" Jay looks into the tomb more.
Kai leaves Jay and Aria's side as he investigates the Toxic Bogs more, only to encounter Spitta who was hiding inside an acid lake.
"Guys!" He shouts before Spitta sprays venom into his eyes "Guys help!"
The Venomari and Constrictai all come out of the acid lakes, cornering Kai as he starts to see the Serpentine as Gingerbread men and Christmas elves.
"Jay quickly" Aria says as they ran to Kai's side "good job flamebrain, you had one job"
Cole and Zane both arrive as backup. However, Pythor jumps out of the empty Venomari Tomb.
"How! He wasn't in there before!" Jay shouts
Aria takes Sacred Flute and starts to play. The Serpentine all covered their ears and Pythor used his tail to steal the flute.
"No" Aria tries to grab it back but Cole holds her back
"It's too dangerous" Cole tells her
As the Serpentine close in on the Ninja, they step back onto a sinking log in the acid lake.
"I'm too young to die" Aria whines and hugs Kai
"We're not going to die" Zane reassures her
"Yeah we'll figure something out" Jay agrees shakily
Before the log could completely sink and erode, a rope suddenly appears before them and allows the Ninja to climb to safety. A mysterious figure known as Samurai X flies down, sending out a large net toward the Serpentine which forces them to retreat. The figure inside the large mech jumps out, and the boy Ninja approach the Samurai to show their gratitude.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you" Aria mumbles
The Samurai sprays them with a gas that causes all four Ninja to lose consciousness, to which the Samurai gets back into the Samurai Mech and flies off. Aria jumped onto the ground next to them and sat down.
Above the unconscious Ninja, the Destiny's Bounty flies overhead, shining a light onto them. Aria smiles and waves.
Later on in the night, the Ninja are conscious again inside the dining room of the Destiny's Bounty, each discussing the Samurai.
"Guys we should concentrate on the Serpentine not the Samurai" Aria lectures
"Aria's right, the Serpentine are the danger right now" Zane agrees
And while they fearfully speak of the Great Devourer Zane informs Sensei Wu that Pythor stole the Sacred Flute.
"This is all my fault, none of this would've ever happened if I didn't release the first three tribes" Lloyd groans
"We can only change the future, not the past" Wu sighs
An alarm goes off and the Ninja run to the bridge, the monitor showing Serpentine activity in Ninjago City.
"Let's go" Cole runs out, the rest of the ninja following
"Wait Aria" Wu stops her "I have a job for you"
Aria looks at him "but sensei can't it wait? the serpentine-"
"it has to be done tonight" Wu tells her seriously
"...yes sensei" Aria agrees
"Where the hell am I!" Aria shouts
Sensei Wu had dropped her off in the middle of the woods. A thick fog started surrounding her, she looks up to see a strange looking moon.
"...that's not normal" Aria looks around "what's with this fog... SENSEI PICK ME UP NOW"
She heard a growl
"...I'm hearing things" she mumbles to herself
Aria could see a big shadow in the distance and takes a step back "what is that"
"You know, whether it was in a lesson book or not, we used the destructive power of rumors to our advantage" Cole says
Kai nods "And now the Serpentine are further away than ever from getting their act together"
"I don't think we would've gotten out of there if it hadn't been for Zane" Jay adds
"Don't thank me. Thank Lloyd. If it hadn't been for his laundry skills, we all would've been found" Zane says and everyone laughs
"Hey where's Aria?" Cole asked
Wu sits there quietly
"Uncle dropped her off somewhere" Lloyd answers as he walks in
The ninja all turn to look at Wu
Wu sighs "She is retrieving her weapons, just like how all of you had to retrieve her, it is her turn"
"By herself!" Kai shouts
"Sensei we have to go help her!" Cole shouts
"Their must be dangers" Zane adds concerned
"You cannot go" Wu tells them and sighs "It is her fight, not yours"
"But uncle what if she gets hurt?" Lloyd asks looking seriously worried "I promised-"
"be quiet" Wu covers his mouth then turns to the ninja "I know you are all worried about her but Aria must overcome this task herself"
"...will she be ok?" Kai asks
"This is Aria we're talking about guys" Jay speaks up "she can handle a dragon"
"You're right" Cole sighs in relief
"I'm afraid there is no dragon" Wu says, the ninja all turn to look at him "the creature she will face is much more dangerous... a Vraal"
"and what exactly is that?" Jay gulps
Wu looks at them "A beast only known in the shadow lands of Ninjago, many people have encountered this beast and only a few returned alive"
The ninja's and Lloyd's eyes widened in fear
The shadowy figure got bigger as it approached her
"I'm not scared" Aria mumbles "I'm not scared"
It let's out a loud roar
Aria backs into a tree "It's just a dragon... yeah it's gotta just be a dragon.. I've dealt with dragons before"
The beast steps into the light of the moon.
"OH HELL THE FUCK NO" Aria screams as the beast roars "THIS IS ILLEGAL"
