A/N: Ahhh, this one's late I'm sorry, I had some severe writer's block, and combining that with school is a nightmare, and this is only reminding me that I need to start writing a lot more to stay on top of this and "An Amourshipping Reunion", anywho, this is the chapter where we meet Bonnie's opponent for the semi-finals, and it's back to just her perspective, not the switching thing I did in the other two chapters, so, hope you enjoy.
"Dragon Pulse."
"Dodge it."
Salamence fired a green orb at Gallade who dodged it easily. Gallade was faster right, so why am I worrying.
"He'll win, don't worry."
I turned to see Serena smiling at me, trying to reassure me.
"I know but," I pointed to Salamence's tail, Salamencite.
"Well, let's do this, SALAMENCE, MEGA EVOLVE," Trent yelled.
Salamence began glowing and transformed into its mega form.
"What are ya gonna do, Max. I already took out your mega, one hit, and that Gallade is out."
I looked over at May, she looked about as worried as I was, and Dawn and Drew both looked worried too. But Ash, Serena, and Clemont didn't seem fazed at all.
"Well, let's just say I've got a trick up my sleeve. Gallade, you ready?" Max yelled.
"What," I said quietly, Serena heard and looked at me.
"You'll see," she whispered.
I turned back to Max, he was smirking.
"Keystone, respond to my heart," Max yelled, holding his hand up so his keystone was facing Gallade.
"Wait a minute," May said.
"Gallade, it's time to Mega Evolve!"
"Gallade can Mega Evolve?" I yelled.
Mega Gallade stood in a fighting stance and narrowed his eyes at Salamence and Trent, adding to their shock.
"HOW THE HECK CAN YOU HAVE TWO MEGAS!" Trent roared, even I flinched.
Max laughed a bit, "Training and forming some of the strongest bonds with my Pokemon, that's how I have two of them."
"Ugh, Salamence, Draco Meteor."
The meteors showered down on the battlefield.
"Gallade, Draco Meteor climb!"
I turned to Ash, who crossed his arms and smirked.
Gallade jumped between the falling meteors and got up into the air, not taking a hit.
"Ice Punch," Max yelled.
Gallade flipped a bit in the air before falling towards Salamence with a glowing fist.
I smiled a little. If Max can keep this up, he'll win in no time.
Trent snapped his fingers, "Fire Blast."
I gasped.
"Gallade, get out of there," Max yelled.
Salamence shot out a burst of flame that turned into a star shape when it made contact with Gallade.
"Gal," he cried out, he landed a few yards from Max, covered in burn marks.
"Use Dragon Pulse."
"Leaf Blade."
Gallade sliced through the green orb with ease and continued to charge at Salamence.
"Ice Punch now," Max yelled.
Gallade's fist began to glow and made direct contact with Salamence's forehead causing the Dragon Pokemon to cry out in pain.
"Hydro Pump," Trent yelled.
"Dodge it."
"Ugh, Draco Meteor."
"Dodge it, then use Psycho Cut," Max yelled.
Gallade's forearms started glowing blue as he slashed at the air, sending blue beams towards Salamence. The Dragon Pokemon cried out in pain as they connected.
"Sala," he roared, sending a Fire Blast.
"GALLADE GET OUT OF THERE," Max yelled, I clapped my hand over my mouth.
Gallade took the full force of the attack and was knocked off his feet. Max scrunched his face in pain and fell to his knee.
"You alright Gallade?"
The Blade Pokemon locked eyes with Max and nodded, slowly standing back up again.
"Put it back down with Hydro Pump."
"Ice Punch."
Salamence sent out a blast of water while Gallade sprinted towards him, seeming to glide to the left and leaping into the air and bringing his glowing fist down on Salamence's forehead.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, he's gonna be fine, I thought.
"Dragon Pulse."
"Leaf Blade."
Gallade sliced through the green orb with ease.
"Salamence, Draco Meteor."
"Psycho Cut."
The blue beams sliced through the falling meteors.
"FINISH THAT STUPID MEGA WITH FIRE BLAST," Trent roared.
"ICE PUNCH," Max shouted.
Gallade jumped into the air to dodge the Fire Blast and brought his fist crashing down on Salamence before backflipping towards Max. Salamence let out a cry in pain before one of his legs gave way and he fell to the ground.
The stadium erupted into a deafening roar, so loud that everyone with me covered their ears.
Trent fell to his knees and returned Salamence, he looked up at something, or someone, with tears in his eyes.
On the other side of the field, Gallade had reverted to its base form and was high-fiving Max.
I snuck out of the room to go, I was up next and I wanted to congratulate him.
"Great job, Gallade, you did awesomely," Max said.
I took a deep breath and stepped into his view.
"That was a great battle, but why didn't you tell me that you could Mega Evolve Gallade?" I said, trying my hardest not to be awkward.
"Thanks, and it was my trick, the only people who knew were your brother, Korrina, and Ash and Serena cause they had seen it."
I nodded.
"Good luck on your battle, from what I've found out, your opponent has an elite four caliber team, be careful," he said, holding his hand out to me.
"I will, see you in the finals," I said, shaking his hand.
He walked out of the room, giving me one last smile over his shoulder which made my face turn hot.
I grabbed my team's Pokeballs off my belt and threw them in the air. After a few seconds Florges, Delphox, Audino, and Pyroar materialized in front of me, all cheering.
"Alright, so I'm hearing that our opponent is really strong, maybe even the strongest person we've ever faced, but I'm sure we can beat them, you guys ready?" I said.
My team cried out in delight and I beamed, "Then let's do this," I said, holding my hand out.
Dedenne, Florges, Audino, Pyroar, Delphox, and Squishy (in his ten percent form), piled their hands on top of mine and we lifted our arms in sync.
I returned them to their Pokeballs and Dedenne jumped on my shoulder, Squishy stayed in his ten percent form and walked beside me.
I raised my hand to block the sun as I walked out onto the battlefield, the roar of the crowd was drowning out the sound of my footsteps, but even with every voice jumbled together, I could have sworn I heard Max's voice above them all.
"Now please give a warm welcome to her opponent, she also hasn't been seen since the finals of the Hoenn League two years ago and she's a favorite to win this one," The announcer yelled.
I stared across the field at the other trainer. From what I could see, she had bushy, crimson hair that was tied back. She was wearing a green jean jacket over a yellow hoodie and normal jeans that cut off about halfway down her shin. On her wrist, I saw a braided bracelet that was resting below a Mega Ring. As she walked out, she yanked on two wires that were going to her head, I'm guessing they were headphones, and I could see her orange eyes.
I glanced up to where my friends were sitting, specifically Ash, and he seemed to recognize her and that's when I glanced back, the girl was resting her hands on her hips and I saw a Chesnaught behind her.
No way.
"Marin!?"
A/N: If none of you remember who Marin is, I don't blame you, she was really a side character for the five episodes in that she was in the show, but if you need a refresher, she's the little girl with the Chespin that hung out with Alain. Anyway, I'm sorry for being late with this chapter and I'll do my best to be on time next week.
