Percy lay back down on the grass and let out a sigh as the breeze softly tossed his wild hair. Percy's eyes drifted to the sky, where white fluffy clouds were passing over the shining sun. Percy let out another sigh and reflected on the info. He was most curious about Jared. He wanted to know if his predicament changed things about the death of his friend . After learning about Greek mythology, years back, Percy held a small thinge of hope that Jared was alive, and used that to drive him. With all this news, his hope seemed less far fetched. He had a sneaking suspicion that Rosiki was behind Jared's disappearance. It seemed like a long-shot idea, but his gut feeling Was telling him otherwise. His main suspect was Hades. It was obvious mainly because he controls all monsters, and can command them. But, It could just have been a loner monster who had reformed. The monster though, hadn't chased after Percy after he escaped. Maybe Jared had given the monster a hard enough time for him to not chase Percy. Percy grunted in frustration. That wouldn't have made sense for a grown man, much less a monster, who He'd like to assume had more strength than a mortal. He sighed and turned his head towards the beer bottle.

"How has my life turned out like this" Percy murmured to himself inspecting the bottle. He lifted it and tentatively began to bring it to his mouth. He put his lips to the bottle, and tilted his head back, allowing the few drops left in the bottle to reach his mouth. As soon as it touched the mouth of Percy, He spit it out and gagged.

"This is disgusting" Percy said while tossing the bottle to the side. He lifted his sword (which had been transformed into a ring) and slipped it on. He took a necklace and slipped it on (his bow). And took his bracelet (his axe) and put it on. Percy climbed the hill and sat down at the top. He stared at the sun, threatening dip below and the landscape. He held out his hand and summoned his Art of the sword book. And began to read.

Stalemates. This happens when two fighters have their swords pressed against each other and are pushing for is when it usually comes down to strength. The stronger opponent most likely wins by pressing the weaker one down. If you are the weaker opponent there is no way to escape this. Except for one way. If you don't have any strength there is a tiny window to either escape this deadlock, which may Result in a victory. When you get in a stalemate, and you know you don't have the strength to push you opponent back, you simply pull back and move out of the way. This will cause him to fall forward, where you will use this opportunity to strike. Seems simple right? Well it's a lot more complicated. Turn to page 38 to go into detail.

Percy raised an eyebrow. Learning tips and tricks to make his moves quicker was one thing, but a tactic that could create a instant win, was something exciting. Percy immediately tore to page 38 and read on.

There's a lot of factors that goes into this. First you need to know if you opponent is in position to commit fully to stumble forward. Second, you need to move away from your opponent, this is mainly because of physics, if he is putting all of his force into over powering you, if you disappear(or your sword) then all his force will come down, with sword in hand, meaning if yo were there than you'd probably be dead. There are a few techniques to ensure that you jump out the way.

1. You could start to jump, before removing you sword.

This is pretty respectable and it gets the job done... if your opponents an idiot. There's a pretty good chance that you're opponent would see this and notice you leaping to the side and adjust to this. Yes the are ways to do the more subtly do this. You cot set one foot out and slide another. But, this could be notice also. But there's also...Physics. If your body is set in that position, it lowers your arm strength dramatically. Unless the gap in strength is exponentially large, then your arms will sustain a lot of damage.

2. You could turn your sword to a slight angle and push off moving you to the side

Unless you opponent is crazy smart, experienced, or powerful then I can't see any way the opponent could notice the slight movement. Even if he was all of those things, his concentration would solely be on overpowering you of course, there is some drawbacks. This won't work in every single situation, And is crazy complicated but it could be at least a good way to escape a stalemate.

Percy stopped reading and instinctively looked up because of movement in the grass below him. He saw girls. 3 of them. One carrying a deer carcass into the woods with the other carrying nothing. Their clothes, and their silver bows, confirmed that they were in the hunters of Artemis. Percy wanted to mind his business, but was so INCREDIBLY confused, and needed some clarification for what was going on int the god world. Percy thought for a moment before skidding down the hill. He walked in the woods, being guided by the voices of the females and the faint dragging sound of a carcass on grass. Percy followed quietly, In a attempt to follow based on their voices. He didn't yell because he didn't want them to run.

After 15 minutes of walking and barely keeping up with the huntresses, he Finally heard female voices and faint Thwacking. He sighed in relief and followed them until he got to the edge of the clearing .

He walked out with his hands up, which attracted about 30 arrow pointed in his direction

"You creep" a girl grunted. Percy looked around.

"You probably wanted to sneak a peek didn't you" She added. Percy looked around. The girl tossed her black hair to the other side.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"Zoe Nightshade" she sneered. Percy nodded

" I just have a few quest-" Percy was cut off by Zoe

"We won't answer to you, leave" she said. Percy leaned his head back.

"I-I wasn-" Percy tried to say, but It was too late. She fired the arrow. Percy's legs tensed, he slid to the side instinctively and Completely dodged the arrow. Percy drew his weapons.

"Don't shoot at him" she ordered the other Huntresses.

"I got this" she said.

"I don't want to fight" Percy said. Zoe growled and lunged at Percy. He turned and Blocked the knives that were being aimed at the back of his head. Zoe dropped down and did a leg sweep. Percy stepped back avoiding Zoe's legs. She sprung up, slashing at his chest, but Percy just dodged again. All of the attacks that Zoe was throwing him, turned out to be futile, because Percy was dodging every single one. But she was successful at one thing, slowly backing Percy up. It was true, Percy wasn't trying, but neither was Zoe. She was just doing what she needed to do so he could get caught in the perfectly set net, it worked marvelously. Percy's foot got caught in the net and he fell down with a thump. The net closed immediately, leaving Percy trapped. Zoe walked up to Percy with a smirk on her face.

"Watch yourself" she said. The huntress chuckled at the remark.

"That's all they do" A huntress said chuckling.

"Swing their dick around without using their brains" The Huntress added. All the huntress laughed.

"What shall we do with him." Asked another huntress

"Castrate?" said Another. Percy looked at them in horror. He Sighed and summoned his book and continued to read, letting all the noise become background. After 5 minutes, Percy heard a great deal of commotion and looked up. All the hunters were bowing in front of a lady. Who was looking directly at Percy.

"I'll assume that's Artemis." Percy muttered. All the huntress began to get up and return to their chores, but Zoe stuck beside Artemis and began to speak. Percy stared at them, attempting to catch a word of what they were saying, but unfortunately couldn't get any. Percy knew they were talking about him because, they were pointing and furiously talking but he still couldn't hear them. Finally Artemis and The girl began to walk towards Percy. She stopped in front of the net.

"Why were you spying on us." Artemis said Incredulously. Percy looked up from his book

"Why do you assume I was spying on you?" Percy asked.

Artemis was taken aback she expected Percy to bow and make some type of exscuse, but after saying that he just turned back to his book and ignored Artemis. Artemis knocked her arrow and aimed it directly at Percy's heart.

"Watch yourself boy" she said. Percy sighed and looked up.

" I'm sorry ok." he said.

"But I'm not some type of perv. I was trying to ask a question." A small smile appeared on Artemis's lips.

" I am afraid sorry is not gonna cut it." Artemis said

"You follow us to the woods to 'ask us a question'" Artemis added laughing. she turned to the girl and said

"Zoe, we're going on the move again soon, help the hunters pack while deal with him." Artemis said. Percy looked around and saw the hunters taking down their tents. He attempted to escape but, the goddess of the hunt knows how to set traps. Percy started to panic.

"She probably will mush my balls with her bow" he muttered. He tried again to escape, but nothing happened.

"This ought to do it." She muttered. Unfortunately, Nothing happened. Artemis pointed her finger at Percy again, but. Again, nothing happened. Percy sighed and looked was smiling. This scared Percy even more. Percy looked at his ring.

" How can I activate my sword without impaling myself." He thought. He looked at the hunters who had finished and was Preparing to leave. He spotted Zoe and Artemis talking together again. Soon Percy watched as The hunters filed out, still bound. Percy looked around desperately.

What do I do?

Percy asked himself. All of a sudden a low growling sound was heard. Percy cursed. He thought for a moment before reaching his hand from one of the holes in the net. He removed his ring and activated his sword. He carefully cut the rope while the growling intensified. He sliced through the rope and Slipped out from the net. It was just in time. 2 huge wolves bounded from the trees and came straight at Percy. Percy bent on one knee and remained calm. He remained still as the wolves leapt towards him. He Put his sword down and dodged a stray swipe from the first wolf. He grabbed the second wolves arms and pushed him back. He did this, ensuring to change the color of his eyes the a reddish black color to assert his dominance. Even though it drained his energy for some reason, it looked awfully cool. The wolf whimpered and backed off. He turned to the second wolf and got ready for him to charge, but he backed off. The wolf then began to circle Percy. Percy turned and saw the first one growling. He picked his sword up and kept his eyes on both wolves. Then, the wolf attacked. They were a blur of gray. Percy barely managed to dodge it. The wolves landed on the floor and bounded at Percy. It leapt at Percy, causing him to sidestep and swing. Big mistake. The wolf clung to Percy's arm, and took a bite. Percy cried and slammed the wolves on the stumbled away and drew his bow. He fired a shot at one wolf of, hopefully killing it. He tried to shoot the second one, but missed because of his arm. He slumped down, attempting to preserve his energy. He leaned back and let his ragged breath take over.

He all of a sudden, felt, the taste of beer in his mouth. His body felt numb. A tingling sensation washed over his body, and when it was done, there was no pain. He looked at his shoulder, and hand.

"What the.." he said when no cuts or bruises appeared. He stood Quickly, and instantly grabbed his head, when Searing pain entered it. He stood for a moment and tried to wait for the pain to subside when a voice appeared in his head

Hello again Humans.

I have not posted in a while, but I'm back on the writing grind. This is not how long my chapters are gonna be. They will be a lot longer that this. It's just that, this was my first chapter in a while, and I wanted To get it out quickly

Parings! I am totally Cool with Artemis being Percy's Pairing, but I would want some one else. I y'all really want it, then I'm cool. Hestia is in the lead, but idk how i feel about that. Zoe is in second, so that's who is in the lead.
