Chapter 9- The Defenders.
Earth-911111, New York City.
Chris gasped as she spat water from her mouth.
"Woah!" Mila said, gently holding her. "You swallowed a lot of water. Take it easy."
Chris tried to protest, but she was too weak to do anything.
She retched more water, before lying on her back, exhausted and weakened.
"I found you here, with the others", Mila informed her. "You had all been thrown into the river."
"Where's Danielle?" Chris asked weakly.
Mila gave a sigh. "I couldn't find her. I think the Hand captured her."
"Damn it." Chris groaned.
"Don't worry", Mila patted her shoulder gently. "We will find her."
Chris sighed but it didn't help to ease the guilt she was feeling due to not being able to stop the Hand from taking her.
Chris craned her neck to see Jason staggering to his feet, looking dazed but in a much better state than her.
"Are you okay?" Chris called out.
Jason gave her thumbs up, before retching more water.
He walked up to where Nikolia was and shook him awake.
"Easy bro." Jason said as Nikolia spat out water.
"What happened? There was a blast of energy and then I was knocked out." Nikolia said.
"We were knocked out. The Hand kidnapped Danielle and then threw us into a river." Jason informed him.
"Damn it!" Nikolia groaned. "Where are the others?"
"Chris and Mila are here. No idea where Jamie and Penny are." Jason said.
Jason extended his hand and Nikolia accepted it gratefully, as he was hauled to his feet.
The two walked over to Chris and Mila.
"We need to track the others down, and then get Danielle." Jason spoke.
"Yeah but how?" Mila asked.
Chris lowered her head in thought.
"I know", she spoke as all turned to her. "I can use Stark's database to search for them. It has access to every camera in New York City, so that should be easy enough."
"Let's do it." Jason nodded.
Jason gave her his watch, which had access to Tonya's database, and Chris typed a command in.
After about five minutes, a ping was heard.
"Excelsior!" Chris exclaimed as all looked at her.
"I found out where they went. Turns out, they had woken up and went to the NYPD precinct a few hours ago. Now they are going after the Hand, at a temple downtown." Chris said.
"All right", Jason nodded. "Let's finish this."
Unknown location, some time later.
Jason, Chris, Nikolia and Mila walked up to a large temple that was interspersed with lanterns.
All four were dressed in their suits with the exception of Jason who was wearing a scarf that covered his face.
"What's the play guys?" Mila asked.
"Chris and I will distract the Hand, while you two get in and find Danielle." Jason said as he brandished his sword.
"You got it. Be careful." Nikolia said.
"Will do." Chris nodded as she and Nikolia hugged.
Jason and Chris then walked straight towards the temple door, pushing it open.
"Let's go." Nikolia said to Mila as the two snuck around.
"Like old times eh?" Mila asked Nikolia with a wry grin as the two moved around.
"Sure does." Nikolia chuckled as he fit a magazine clipping into his handgun.
"Let's do this." Mila said as she brandished a pair of Billy clubs.
Jason and Chris walked into the temple and were immediately greeted by a host of ninjas.
"You want to have the honor of attacking first?" Jason asked Chris.
"Much obliged." She smirked as she fired an arrow, killing one ninja.
Jason sprung into action, blocking a strike and elbowing the ninja to the floor before spinning away to dodge a strike.
Jason was punched in the face and whipped around before punching the ninja in the face.
Chris side-stepped an attack and smacked the ninja in the side with her bow, taking him down.
Jason then kicked another to a wall before shooting him down. He turned to block the attack of another ninja and flipped him down too, before kicking another away in a spin motion.
Chris swept a ninja's feet from under him and smacked him on the face, knocking him out. She then fired at another ninja who was trying to aim at her and put him down too.
She then flip kicked another away.
Nikolia and Mila walked into the temple via a side-door when several ninjas jumped down from vents in the ceiling as the two were surrounded on all sides.
Mila and Nikolia exchanged looks and nodded, as they turned to face the opposing army.
Nikolia shot down a ninja before flipping over a crate and shooting down another and as he got up, he shot down another.
Mila blocked a strike with her Billy Club and elbowed the man out.
She dove to the side to avoid a sword strike and kicked the ninja's legs out, sending him down before she kicked him out in a spin motion.
Then, she and Nikolia continued fighting.
Danielle groaned as she struggled with the cuffs around her hands.
She had been taught how to remove cuffs, but these ones were very strong, so she was struggling a bit with it.
Grunting, Danielle closed her eyes as she activated the Iron Fist.
With a roar, she shattered the chains with it, the metal itself shattering from the mystical blow.
"I'm coming for you Gorgon." She snarled as she punched the dungeon doors open and marched out.
"Master, we have intruders here." A ninja said to Gorgon.
"Let them come. I will deal with them." Gorgon smirked.
"But master, we will lose." The ninja protested.
"No we won't." Gorgon said.
"You should have killed them. Now because of your stupidity, those fools are here." The ninja snapped.
"If you question my authority, you die." Gorgon sneered, taking off his bandana and opening his eyes.
A cracking sound was heard as the ninja was now a statue. With a hard kick, Gorgon shattered the statue.
"Bring your best", Gorgon smirked. "I am ready."
Nikolia shot down two ninjas. He then dodged the knife of a third one and sliced him down with his own knife.
Mila blocked a strike and kicked the ninja back into the wall as Nikolia smacked out three others in a spin motion.
"Let's go." Nikolia said as they moved on.
Jason brandished a knife and sliced a ninja's leg, making him kneel in pain.
He then gave the ninja a strong punch, knocking him out.
Chris flipped over a ninja and kicked him down, ducking under another attack and smacking him away.
Jason and Chris then fought back to back, smacking and kicking ninjas away.
Jason flipped another to the ground and shot him.
Chris smacked a ninja in the head, sending him down, and flipped another over her shoulder.
Jason blocked a strike and kicked the ninja on the knee, sending him down as well, before spinning and smacking another out with his hand.
Chris smacked another ninja in the stomach, sending him down.
Another tried to punch, but Chris caught it and threw him away.
Mila and Nikolia were surrounded by about 90 ninjas and thugs all of whom looked ready to kill them.
Mila was immediately knocked down by a flip-kick and rolled away while Nikolia engaged the rest of them.
Mila got back up and threw her Billy club at a thug, staggering him and catching it on return as he fought her.
Mila deflected his attacks with her Billy club as the two battled. The thug lifted Mila by the throat and threw her off as she rolled away before flipping to her feet.
Mila then leapt at the thug from behind and grabbing his head between her feet, flipped him to the ground.
He punched Mila several times in the face and threw her away.
Nikolia spun in a circle, firing off his gun and killing many thugs and ninjas who tried to attack him, though he was knocked down and rolled away to avoid another attack while the gun went skidding away.
Flipping up, Nikolia smacked one ninja in the abdomen with the back of his hand and then delivered a powerful uppercut that knocked him out.
Danielle noticed several thugs running at her and ignited the Iron Fist, punching the ground and producing a shockwave that threw them back while collapsing the whole area in front of her.
She sprinted down the hallway, leaping over a few crates.
Danielle swept a man's legs, sending him down, before punching another in the abdomen and getting another in an arm lock, twisting him around before kneeing him in the face.
Chris struck but the ninja she was battling blocked and ducked to avoid another kick and rammed into Chris, sending her staggering back before Chris flipped to avoid another swing and flip-kicked the ninja in the face, sending him back too as he grunted.
Jason leapt and kicked another in the head, knocking him down before he ducked and lashed out a kick to the man's groin, making him groan in pain as he staggered away, before Jason flip-kicked him.
Chris managed to kick the ninja off just as she rolled to her feet and gave him a flying kick to the head, staggering him.
The two then continued fighting.
Nikolia grabbed another thug and elbowed him before ducking under a hit and striking him in the knee, making the thug grunt, before Nikolia knocked him out with a punch.
Mila punched a ninja in the knee, breaking it, before elbowing him in the throat, knocking him down.
Danielle swept a man's legs, before punching another in the abdomen and flipping to avoid another strike.
She jumped and kicked another before raising her Iron Fist and blocking another strike.
Danielle then struck another thug out with the Iron Fist, before flip-kicking another.
Jason flipped another and slammed him to the ground, before flipping back up and blocking a jab before countering with a body shot.
Jason then gave a kick to the ninja's diaphragm, sending him flying back and into a wall.
Chris knocked a ninja out with a punch before smacking another down with her bow.
Mila was thrown down, dazed, as Nikolia leapt to attack the ninja who attacked her.
Nikolia dodged an attack and roundhouse kicked the ninja, staggering him, before he jumped and moved in a spin motion, grabbing him and slamming his head down.
The ninja recovered and kicked Nikolia in a spin motion, before he kicked a table at the ninja who flipped over it.
Mila threw a Billy club at the ninja, knocking him down before Nikolia kicked him on the face, knocking him down at last.
"There are more coming. We should go." Mila said as her senses picked them up.
The two rushed towards the end of the hallway, ready to continue fighting.
Jason kicked one out while Chris shot another and flipping before firing three arrows that took out three men.
"Let's go. I sense more people coming." Jason said to Chris who nodded, and the two continued on their way.
Danielle was about attack again, when someone leapt at her with superhuman speed, knocking her down.
Danielle rolled to her feet and glared at her opponent.
She flipped to avoid the ninja's strike and punched him with the Iron Fist, throwing him back and crashing through a wall.
The ninja got back up and tackled her, slamming her through a wall, but Danielle slipped out of it and kicked him in a spin motion, throwing him back slightly, before leaping with the Iron Fist raised.
The ninja rolled to avoid the attack and a crater was formed from where the Iron Fist punched the ground.
Getting up, the ninja lifted Danielle up by the throat and slammed her to the ground, dazing her, before she flipped back, only to get elbowed.
Danielle staggered up as the ninja tried to flip kick her but she flipped to avoid.
He charged her again with a kick but Danielle flipped back, cartwheeling away as she landed.
With a roar, he tackled Danielle, punching her into the floor before Danielle flipped away.
Danielle got back up and rushed him, sending a flying kick to his chest, and punching his face with the Iron Fist, breaking his bones and taking him down at last.
She heard footsteps and turned to see Jamie and Penny, much to her surprise.
"Guys!" she said in delight.
"Hey Danni." Jamie greeted casually. "We should probably get out of here."
"Not yet", Danielle shook her head. "We need to kill Gorgon first."
"Let's do it." Penny said firmly.
Jason turned and was punched in the head, sending him flying off as he groaned in pain.
"These assholes really know how to hit hard." He muttered, back-flipping to his feet as he glared at his opponents.
Chris stabbed another with an arrow before spinning around and smacking another thug with her hand, sending him to the ground.
Jason picked up a pair of clubs and struck a thug on either side of his head, taking him out, before throwing his clubs down and picking up another thug, leaping up and slamming him to the ground.
Chris punched a ninja on the face, taking him down before kicking another in the head and flipping another to the ground.
Jason flip-kicked an assassin before grabbing another and pulling him into a brutal head-butt, taking him down.
Mila and Nikolia were fighting their way through legions of thugs, mercenaries, ninjas and assassins on their way to find Gorgon and Danielle.
Nikolia gave another ninja a hard punch, knocking him down before Mila jumped and punched another down, turning the corner and engaging another group of ninjas.
Nikolia flip-kicked one in the face, sending him down and he shot another in the eye. Blood sprayed through the back of his head.
Mila swept another's feet, and kicked an incoming ninja in a flip motion.
Nikolia then punched another and flip-kicked a third, before elbowing a ninja who snuck up behind him.
Mila smacked two mercenaries out before sweeping another's feet from under him and kicking him out.
Danielle, Mila and Penny made their way through the temple, before reaching a corridor with a dozen ninjas.
"Let's do it." Jamie shrugged as the three attacked.
Jamie ducked under a hit and kicked another to a wall before punching him down. He turned to block the attack of another assassin and flipped him down too.
Danielle swept a ninja's feet from under him and smacked him on the face, knocking him out. She then punched at another thug and kicked another away.
Penny jumped and kicked a chair at one thug, throwing him down to the ground while Jamie lifted another and threw him away into a wall, which fell down and Danielle kneed another in the abdomen.
Jason walked out and up some stairs. A thug pointed a gun at him but Jason grabbed a gun from a fallen mercenary and fired first, killing him.
He then picked up the thug's assault rifle and fired around at a few ninjas, killing them as their blood splattered.
One of them rushed him but he smacked him on the face, breaking his nose before shooting him dead. Another rushed him but he turned him around and choked him out with the rifle.
Chris dodged a strike and kicked back as well before flipping on the wall and smacking the ninja on the back of the head, knocking him out.
Some more thugs appeared from behind Jason. Suddenly, Nikolia leapt in between and shot five of them down while Mila threw her club, smacking some more down as it returned to her hand and Nikolia shot down a thug that was aiming at Chris.
"About time!" Jason said.
"Show off", Nikolia chuckled. "Not everyone here is a super-soldier."
"Fair point." Jason shrugged.
"Jamie and Penny are here." Mila informed them.
"How do you know?" Jason asked.
"I heard some guards yelling about 'that crazy PI and that spider-chick.'" Mila said, making all chuckle briefly.
"Let's go save them and Danielle and kill Gorgon." Jason said.
Danielle, Jamie and Penny entered a room lit by candles, with a dome shaped ceiling.
"Welcome." Gorgon said as he stepped into the room, still blindfolded.
"This ends here." Danielle snarled, getting into a fighting stance.
"Not quite Iron Fist." Gorgon chuckled as dozens of men moved into the room from all sides, effectively surrounding them.
"Once we have concluded here, rest assured that I will find the most creative of deaths for your friends and family." Gorgon said
With roars of determination, the three charged at him.
Danielle punched with the Iron Fist, but Gorgon dodged and the blow shattered a statue in the room.
Jason, Chris, Mila and Nikolia walked further into the temple before some thugs and ninjas showed up.
Before any thug could react, Nikolia shot one of them down in a single bullet.
Another thug tried to attack but he grabbed his hand and shot a third ninja on the sternum, immobilizing him.
He then shot the one he had restrained on the head before killing that third one with a headshot.
"Let's go", Jason said and they all ran through a door.
As they went out, they saw some more ninjas approaching them.
Nikolia shot down two of them, splattering their blood.
Jason drove his sword through one before shooting another one down. Chris flip-kicked one down as Nikolia side-stepped another.
Mila flip-kicked a ninja out before smacking another's legs with her club, making him fall down and then knocked him out.
Jason kicked one away before cutting off one's head in a rotatory motion before stabbing the one he had kicked.
Chris smacked a thug out in a rotatory motion before shooting another down.
Nikolia killed a ninja with a headshot before jumping away to avoid a shot. He then shot that thug on the sternum, immobilizing him and as he fell down, Nikolia killed him with a headshot.
The four ran through a door, entering a large room.
"Ugh", Jason groaned as he remembered a fight in a place similar to this against the Klingons, "This brings back bad memories."
"Then let's get out, Jason", Mila said.
As the four ran, more thugs arrived. Jason smacked one with his rifle, breaking his nose before throwing him down and shooting him dead.
Nikolia grabbed one and slammed his head on the wall, killing him.
Mila swept a thug's feet from under him and flipped on him, knocking him out.
Jason chopped off one's gun before cutting off his head.
Chris fired an arrow and it exploded, sending a thug flying back, knocking him out.
Nikolia shot a ninja through the head, killing him. He then reloaded his gun.
"Jason, pass me your sword." Nikolia said and Jason tossed him the weapon.
Jason then picked up another thug's gun and dual wielded the assault rifles, killing more thugs and ninjas as their blood splattered.
Nikolia leapt into the air and sliced one down before slicing down two more simultaneously.
Mila flipped to avoid some gunshots before kicking the mercenary's gun out of his hands and then flip kicked him out before smacking another out with her club.
Nikolia cut off the heads of two of them simultaneously.
Chris shot an arrow and it divided into two, getting two ninjas.
Nikolia slammed a thug against a wall, knocking him out before kicking another away, making him fall down. He then knocked him out with another kick.
Jason smacked a ninjas hand with his gun, making him drop it. Before he could shoot, the ninja struggled.
Jason kneed him and flipped him to the ground before killing another thug with a headshot.
He then killed the ninja he had thrown down too. He then leapt on an assassin, grabbing onto him before shooting another one in the sternum.
Flipping the one he had grabbed to the ground, he shot the assassin he had immobilized before shooting the one he had flipped.
They then ran through some more hallways, meeting some Hand soldiers on the way.
Nikolia shot down two simultaneously before smacking one down and then shooting him and another thug simultaneously.
Jason kicked one away before driving the sword through him and another behind him. Yanking it out, he chopped off the head of another one.
Chris flipped a thug to the ground and punched him out before firing an arrow which multiplied into three and got three thugs.
Nikolia grabbed a thug and shot him twice in the chest before turning around and killing one with a headshot.
Turning the other way, he shot a thug in the sternum and then in the head, killing him.
Opening the door ahead, they saw Penny lying on the ground, groaning in pain as she was covered in blood.
Danielle and Jamie were battling Gorgon, but both were losing as Gorgon was a very skilled opponent, and he smacked them both down.
"Hey jackass!" Jason called out as all combat ceased for a moment. Jason, Nikolia, Chris and Mila strode forward as one, ready to end this.
"Ah so there you are", Gorgon said. "I've been waiting for you."
"Yeah okay", Jason shrugged. "I'm going to kick your ass."
Gorgon chuckled. "I very much doubt that."
Jason and Mila charged at the same time.
Jason threw a haymaker which Gorgon ducked under and smacked Jason on the back of the head, sending him forward and into a wall, where he fell down, dazed.
Mila sent a barrage of punches which Gorgon effortlessly dodged, and knocked Mila down.
He picked up a broken part of a statue and spinning around, hit Mila in the side with it, sending her tumbling away.
Nikolia tackled Gorgon, pushing him back slightly, though he dug his heels into the ground.
Shoving Nikolia backwards, Gorgon punched him on the face, throwing him to the ground.
Chris attacked, throwing a series of punches which Gorgon blocked and kicked her in the chest, throwing her backwards.
Jamie, Danielle and Penny were all lying on the ground, injured, dazed and unable to get up to fight.
Jason, Mila, Chris and Nikolia all groaned as they tried to stagger back up.
"What's your problem folks? Does it hurt?" Gorgon smirked.
With roars, Jason and Chris attacked again as Gorgon, though still blindfolded, charged to meet them.
Jason threw a haymaker which was blocked and he was kicked back, while Chris also attacked, but Gorgon ducked under it and chopped her on the neck, staggering her back.
Jason threw a punch which Gorgon side-stepped to avoid and punched Jason in the abdomen, before kicking him back.
Gorgon then turned and rammed into Chris, sending her flying back as she quickly recovered.
Charging, Chris threw a haymaker, though Gorgon countered with a direct punch to her jaw, staggering her back, though Mila kicked him on the head, sending him crashing to the ground.
Gorgon rolled and flipped back to his feet as Nikolia threw a punch. Gorgon avoided it and punched him in the abdomen, sending him crashing into a wall which shook from the impact.
Mila threw a jab that Gorgon blocked and ducked to avoid a few more punches, before he knocked her down again.
Jamie rammed into Gorgon, sending him back before he tripped him, knocking him down, before Gorgon did a spin motion and kicked Jamie, making him groan in pain as he bled further.
"Danni", Jason coughed as he and Danielle staggered up at the same time, ready to face Gorgon together.
"Light it up. Now." Jason commanded.
Danielle smirked as she got into a fighting stance and ignited the Iron Fist.
Gorgon didn't react upon hearing that as Danielle threw a punch.
Gorgon side-stepped and kneed her in the side, making Danielle kneel in pain as the power of the Iron Fist faded.
"What?" Danielle blurted.
"There are techniques older than you know. I told you I would find the most creative of endings for you." Gorgon said.
Penny punched, but Gorgon struck his face and flipped him over his shoulder.
He then stuck his foot out, tripping a charging Jamie and sending him down as well.
Chris tried to flip-kick but Gorgon backed to avoid and struck her abdomen, before elbowing her face in a spin motion, sending her down once more.
Nikolia did a spin motion and tried to kick, but Gorgon caught his foot and shoved him back before kicking his face, sending Nikolia flying.
Jason grabbed Gorgon and spinning him around, kneed his face, though Gorgon flipped to break out of the attack, and kicked Jason's legs, staggering him back.
Jason blocked several attacks and struck him in a spin motion before elbowing the side of his head and throwing a punch which Gorgon avoided.
Gorgon smacked Jason's face and punched his abdomen, sending him back slightly before whipping around and punching the side of his head and kicking his chest in a spin motion.
Mila flipped and tried to bring her feet down on Gorgon, but he backed to avoid and kicked her throat, making her gasp as she held it in pain.
Flipping, Gorgon kicked her chest, sending her crashing into a wall where she lay there, dazed.
Danielle tried to punch again, but was blocked each time. She blocked several punches before being hit by the following one.
Jason tried to kick, but was blocked and head-butted back as Gorgon struck his face and chest and punched his throat.
Jason shook off his daze, but was head-butted, sending him crashing to the ground.
Nikolia tried to strike, but was blocked and kicked back.
Chris tried to throw a low punch but was kneed in the face, snapping her neck back as blood was sent flying from her mouth.
"See?" Gorgon taunted. "You can't defeat me. You will all die and the Iron Fist will be mine!"
"Yes we can! And you will lose!" Jason roared as he leapt and knocked Gorgon down.
As Gorgon got back up, Jason charged and tried to strike but Gorgon pushed his hands away and struck his chest, sending him back and damaging the suit more.
Jason leapt and charged again, pushing Gorgon back until he planted his feet on the ground firmly.
Then Gorgon flipped Jason to the ground and punched his face hard and with a roar, punched it again, breaking his nose.
Jason got up and tried to attack again but Gorgon used his superior skills to block all blows and punched him hard in the face, breaking a part of it.
Jason tried to attack again but Gorgon blocked all of his strikes and hit him on the chest multiple times, staggering him back and damaging his suit.
As Jason struck again, Gorgon twisted his arm and pushed him back before striking his chest multiple times and then kicked him in the chin, sending him back once more.
Gorgon then kicked his face hard and tried to kick again in a spin motion but Jason backed to avoid.
Gorgon tried to knee him but Jason grabbed his knee, only for Gorgon to punch his chin, sending him back again.
Jason shook his head and spit out blood as Gorgon asked, "Had enough?"
Jason gave him a bone chilling death-glare in response.
He tried to strike again but Gorgon blocked and tried to kick his knee but he jumped to avoid as both landed on their knees.
Jason tried to strike but Gorgon grabbed his arm and elbowed him, sending him back.
Then Jason kneed him in the abdomen, making him gasp as Jason punched him hard in the face too, making him stagger back.
As Gorgon recovered, Jason rammed into him, sending him back again, as Gorgon punched his abdomen but he ignored it.
Gorgon then flipped, smacking Jason at the back of the head, sending him forward.
Just as he did, Chris smashed a punch into his head, sending him crashing to the ground again.
Danielle then slid on the ground and kicked Gorgon's face again, sending him skidding further as his face bled further as well.
Gorgon removed his bandana that covered his eyes, ready to end this fight at last.
As he did, Danielle kicked him in a spin motion, sending him staggering towards Penny who kicked him back.
Jamie ran at Gorgon and picked him up over his shoulder before leaping and slamming him to the ground, dazing Gorgon further.
"ENOUGH!" Gorgon bellowed. "I have had enough of you!"
He opened his eyes, but Jason was faster. He picked up a fallen sword and showed the shining metal to Gorgon.
There was a cracking sound as Gorgon was turned to stone, frozen in disbelief that he had been defeated by his own power.
Everyone stared at that until Jamie rammed into the statue, shattering it into pieces.
"Well", Jamie said with a shrug. "No more Gorgon, and I really don't think anyone's going to miss that guy."
That broke the tension in the air as everyone laughed at that.
"Well", Jason said. "Looks like this is over at last."
Later.
Jason, Chris, Danielle, Nikolia, Jamie, Penny and Mila walked out of the ruined temple together, staring into the night sky.
"Well, that was one hell of a fight." Jason commented.
"Sure was." Chris agreed.
"So what now?" Penny asked.
"We're going our separate ways." Mila stated matter-of-factly.
"But we will keep in touch and team up if there's some large threat." Danielle concluded.
"Works for me." Jamie nodded.
"You can count on us as well." Nikolia said in agreement.
"Thank you guys, for everything." Danielle said to the others.
"Any time." Jason smirked.
Danielle hugged Jason and shook hands with Chris and Nikolia as the three Avengers shook hands with Mila and Jamie and hugged Penny.
Mila, Danielle and Jamie then walked away, soon vanishing into the night.
"I have a feeling that I'll be seeing at least one or two of you soon enough." Penny said to them.
"You too. Take care Spider-Girl." Jason patted her on the shoulder as Nikolia and Chris hugged her.
"See you guys soon. Take care." Penny said as she pulled her mask over her face.
She then fired a web and flipped away, and soon disappeared from sight.
"Let's go home guys." Chris said as she, Nikolia and Jason walked away from the ruined temple.
A few days later, Central Park.
Jason, Chris and Nikolia were sitting on a bench together, eating ice cream.
"Very nice to see you lot again." A smooth female voice said from Jason's right.
All three whipped around to see a dark-haired woman with smooth skin sitting on the bench next to them.
She was wearing black jeans and a green T-shirt along with a jacket and hood, which obscured her face.
"Do we know you?" Jason asked as she seemed familiar, he just couldn't place where he had seen her before, or who she was in this world.
"You don't Jason Stark. But the others do." She replied calmly.
"You're kidding me right? Of all the people in the universe, it had to be you." Chris groaned as she face-palmed while Nikolia merely sighed.
"Who are you?" Jason asked in confusion.
The woman stood up and calmly dusted off her clothes before flipping her hood back, revealing sparkling green eyes.
"My name is Lokia. Daughter of Odina. Sister of Thora. Goddess of Mischief." She said with a wicked smirk on her face.
Jason stared at her for a few moments. She did look a lot like Loki. She still had that same smirk on her face like she was about to play a practical joke.
"What do you want?" Chris glared at her.
Lokia's smirk vanished as she turned serious.
"I am here to inform you that the universe- scrap that, the Multiverse is in huge danger. A league of villains so powerful, it will take all we have to defeat it." Lokia said, dead serious.
"Tell us everything." Jason said.
"I will. For only together can we defeat this threat." Lokia said.
And Arc 2 is done.
First off, the final Genderbent character for now is here and it is Lokia, who is played by Kristen Stewart in this.
I hope all enjoyed the fight scenes, and I apologize if the final fight between the Defenders and Gorgon was too one-sided. Still, I hope I did a good job of handling it all.
I really don't think anyone's going to miss Gorgon though, so good riddance.
And now we will move onto the third and final arc of this story. I won't reveal who the villains are yet, but it is guaranteed that you will find out next chapter, or at least a few of them.
