Chapter 8
A month has passed ever since Ash and Alice work in the D&W, the business is a success and they earn a lot of money, just by the brand they are probably rich. And due to the friendship Ash and Budew have, Budew evolves into a Roselia. And Alice gives her the Shiny Stone to make her evolve into a Roserade.
They have been blessed by Alice's mother, Valerie Masho, for this relationship. After Valerie learns the truth back at the store, she and Alice have a talk in Alice's bedroom when they are back home. After learning what actually happened, she agrees to let her daughter stay at the Sevestar Island and also use their disguises, but Valerie also wants them to have their own disguises and she agrees to it.
Right now Ash and Alice finished the business of D&W, Ash says, "Well, all of that working makes me hungry."
"Yeah, I heard that there is a restaurant that is full of people, it is called Helen's Kitchen." Alice says, "It serves a lot of food and there is even a child cook that is the greatest attention to all in the restaurant.
"Really, then we should go see if we can see the child chef." Ash says as they close the doors. Since they don't want to be recognized, they all have different disguises this time.
"So this is our new disguises? It looks fiery." Alice says.
"Well, what are we going to call ourselves?" Ash asks his girlfriend, who thinks for a second and says, "How about Morris and Paula?"
"Those are great names." Ash remarks as they go to the restaurant, only to find it closed and they are shocked.
"Oh man...I thought we could have eaten the famous restaurant. Just when did it close?"
"I don't know, but I don't think we are able to have dinner here..." Ash says with a frown.
But then they see a girl sitting at the bench just across the street, and she is the same age as both Ash and Alice. They see tears on her face as they decide to find out what's wrong.
Ash asks, "Excuse me, what's wrong?"
The girl looks at them and she says, "It is about Helen's Kitchen..."
"You want to eat it as well? But it is closed, that's why you are sad?" Alice asks, but the girl shakes her head. "No, that's not it..."
"Then can you tell us what happened?" Alice asks.
The girl sighs and she says, "My father owns this place, but he passed away ever since he tried to find the best food in the mountains, and then the chefs leave the place. I am the only one left and I don't have any money to purchase the house."
Ash and Alice look at each other, and then they nod. Ash says, "So um...can you give us your name?"
The girl just stares at them, and then she says, "My name is Helen..."
"Helen...Wait! Are you Helen Gravy? The famous child chef of the world?" Alice gasps.
"That was a title given to be a lot of years ago. I am not a child anymore." Helen frowns. "But even though I grow up, I still worked at this place until that happened. Without the restaurant, I couldn't find another one and I don't have money to start another business..."
Ash says, "Well, you don't need to worry about that. We can help you get back the restaurant if you want to."
"Huh?" Helen is surprised. "But I am just a stranger to you, why are you helping me?"
"We can't see someone that suffers." Alice says. "I don't think we have introduced ourseslves. You can call us Morris and Paula.
Ash says, "We like to make food, but we didn't have licenses..."
Helen says, "No, it is fine. But first, we should find a place so I can have a place to cook."
Ash and Alice contact the same landlord, and with the money, they agree to get the restaurant back. Helen is shocked that they are rich people, and she is grateful.
"So now that we get your kitchen back, what's next?" Ash asks.
"Before we start cooking, can I try some of your food? I can let you use my kitchen if you want to." Helen says.
The two of them nod as they go to the kitchen. Ash and Alice start to make some dishes. Helen is watching them and she can tell that she had never seen any of the cooking tactics that they show.
After the food is ready, she can see some dishes on the table. The Hungrian Tauros Goulash, the Crawdaunt Salad and the Coconut Milkshake with Slurpuff cream are the ones that catch Helen's eyes.
"I have never seen those dishes before." As she tries out the dishes, she feels something that she lacks. She says, "This taste is really outstanding. And from what I have seen when you were cooking...I can tell that I have so much to learn."
Ash says, "You are flattered, Helen. We also have a lot to learn from you as well. Like the famous roasted Farfetch'd, I would like to try to make it."
Helen says, "I can cook for you if you want." Then she goes into the kitchen and then she also shows her cooking. Judging by how she does with the food, Ash and Alice understand why she is called the famous child chef in the world.
After tasting the food, they are impressed by the food they are eating and they also complement her, causing her to blush.
"It seems like we can learn all those dishes together." Helen says. "Morris, Paula, can you help me with the restaurant? With the three of us working together, we can make our restaurant boom."
Ash and Alice look at each other and they use their aura to communicate, and after they nod at each other, Alice says, "Well, sure. But before that, can you promise to keep a secret?"
"A secret? I am good at keeping secrets, you can just tell me." Helen says.
Seeing how Helen is being honest, Ash says, "You see, Morris and Paula aren't our real names. In fact, we are having a disguises."
"What do you mean by that?" Helen is a little confused. Alice says, "Well, my real name is Alice Urup, and his real name is Ash Ketchum."
The girl widens her eyes and says, "Ash Ketchum? I know the person. He is the one who was the hero of Kalos, his Greninja is one of a kind and the fact that he stops Team Flare from terrorizing Kalos. But does that mean...you are Ash Ketchum?"
Ash shows his true form and Helen is surprised to see the real deal. Then she asks, "But Ash, what happened to you? The news were saying that we badmouthed you and even assaulted you. What is going on back then?"
Ash frowns and Alice decides to answer for him, "All of the news are true, but that is because that you were all under the control by another evil group known as Team Rocket. Right now the control is gone and everyone learned their mistakes, Ash's heart is still broken and he didn't want to show himself. Which is why we have our disguises on when we first meet each other."
"Wow..." Helen says. "I can't believe that I may be able to work with the famous Ash Ketchum..."
"Right now my secret is exposed, now I am not sure that I can work with you yet..." Ash says, causing the girl to frown.
"But why?" Helen asks. "What is stopping you from doing so?"
"I still have a hard time trusting people, ever since that thing happened to me..." Helen frowns as she knows that it might be hard to recover. "But, you can still work with Morris and Paula." This causes her to look at him in shock. "And I will help you as well."
"Thank you. It means a lot to me." Helen says with a smile. "But first, we should have you two get licenses. Due to the fact I was a child chef, I knew a lot of famous chefs in the world and I know that Seibold can help you."
The two of them are now shaken as they know that Seibold is the Elite 4 member of the Kalos Region. Ash and Alice decide to wear their hoods on and Alice is trying to tell Ash not to worry.
Once Seibold comes to the place, he greets Helen and says, "Helen, it is good to see you get your restaurant back again, but what's the matter?"
"Hello again, Mr. Seibold, the reason I called you here is because I found two workers that can cook, but they need the licenses if they want to work as chefs."
"I see. As an S type Connoisseur myself, I am willing to help you out." Seibold says as Helen takes him to Ash and Alice, who are just finished their dishes.
As Seibold try out the food and then he closes his eyes, then he says, "So first, your presentation is like an art, it not only shows the appearance, but I can feel it, the feelings behind the dishes, it shows sadness and hurt."
Ash is surprised that Seibold can know the feeling behind the cooking. Seibond turns to Ash and asks, "Can you please tell me why? As a Connoisseur, I want to know why you make it like this?"
Ash sighs and shows himself in front of him, and he is surprised. "You are Ash Ketchum, right? The one who manages to save Kalos. My wife has been talking a lot about you."
"Your wife?" Ash asks in confusion. Helen says, "Siebold's wife is no other than Diantha herself."
This causes him to be sad and he says, "Let me guess? She wants me to disappear so that there won't be another Team Flare incident that is happening? After all, she told that to the crowd a month ago..."
Siebold understands the problem. He says, "Ash. You have to understand, we didn't want to say that to you. We were forced to."
"Forced?" Alice asks. "But weren't you under the control?"
Siebold says, "Our family wasn't because of some special reasons. But when Mr. Goodshow knows this, he comes to us and then threatens us with our children's lives. We had to do it, or else they would be dead..."
Ash is surprised to hear the truth, but then he notices that there are Aura inside the man, and the aura is the same one as Ash's. He asks, "Are you...perhaps related to me?"
"What do you mean?" Helen asks.
"I sensed it, you have the aura same as a member of the Ketchum family, which means that you have to be a part of a Ketchum or a Ketchum member was given you the Aura Task and you passed it." Ash says.
Siebold smiles, "I am glad that you are able to find out. Yes. We are part of the Ketchum family. My wife, in fact, is your father's sister."
"Queen Ilene had told me that one of the Ketchum members have been banished from the family since she helped my father keep a secret. That member is Diantha, right?" Ash asks.
"What?" Alice is surprised.
"Yes. But he didn't regret a thing, and she is glad that you are safe and sound ever since you came to the Kalos Region." Siebold says.
"I see." Ash says. "Then you can tell her that I forgive her since she is my relative and she does it in order to protect the loved ones."
Siebold nods and then he also gives Ash and Alice the license. After that, the three people work together to reopen the restaurant.
Here is another new chapter, and I have decided that this story is going to be much different from the original story, and I am going to change the story name into Sevestar Prince Darker Version: Alternate. I hope you like it.
