Chater8: Shocked

BPOV

I finally woke up. But something felt a bit different. I couldn't put my finger on it.

I looked up to see the Cullens staring at me in shock and confusion.

"Hey, guys?" I said awkwardly.

They all burst out saying 1000 things at the same time.

"Guys?" I asked them pointedly.

They nodded in understanding.

Suddenly I was bombarded with hugs by each family member except Edward.

He spoke up."Bella, I changed you. But your eyes aren't red. What are you hiding?"

"Um-Are you sure you bit me maybe-" I rambled trying to hide the lie.

But it sounded really fake. Ugh!

"Bella the truth" Edward cut me off.

I once again tried to ramble on and on about stupid reasons.

"Bella. I want the truth. I think I deserve that." Edward said angrily. He yelled at the last sentence.

I flinched at it.

It was really bad of me to hide the secret from them but...It was all for my survival.

"Okay then."

I looked at the Cullens who looked at me anxiously.

"I am a hybrid...I am half-human and vampire."

I continued" You guys must be wondering why my eyes aren't red or golden? Why I smell so good? Why I look so human?"

"Well, I am not your kind. I am a half warm vampire. Like you guys are cold I am warm. "

"These vampires have normal eye color. They can sleep and cry. They can drink human blood with control. I mean they can stay around humans and yet they can't get attracted to their scent."

"We also have the power to compel people. Since I am a half my power is really weak. Also, I can eat normal food. As for the blood, I drink Animal blood once every month. We can't be killed by breaking our body parts and burning them. They can only be ... I am a traditional vampire"

"Since you bit me. I am now a half cold and warm vampire. So, I have characteristics of both. Which I will tell you later."

I sighed and finished.

It felt good to lift the burden of my chest.

"When did you know?"Edward asked.

I studied his poker face and answer.

"A week after you left I went exploring to my old hometown. That's where I met my kind and soon I knew."

"You knew that long!" Edward yelled and left the room at a swift speed.

"You could have trusted us, Bella. " Alice said quietly.

The Cullens left the room silently.

I looked outside the window where the sunset slowly.

I was ashamed of myself of course.

I felt a single tear roll down my cheek.
