Marinette woke up at nine o'clock. She was still tired but she got up anyway.

She walked to her desk saw a tray of food and a note. She asked Tikki to read her the note.

Good morning my dear. Hope you slept well. Please eat your breakfast and rest. I have informed the school that you won't be there this week. Adrien will bring home your school work. Nathalie will be in to check on you later.

Love, Gabriel.

Marinette ate her breakfast. There was a blueberry muffin and a fruit cup. She broke off a piece of the muffin and handed it to Tikki.

"I know you prefer cookies but I haven't been able to get my hands on any."

"It's okay Marinette, this is really good."

(Ring) (Ring) (Ring)

Marinette ran to get her phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Marinette, it's Nino."

"Oh, hey what's up?"

"I wanted to check on you."

"I'm fine."

"You had me and Alix scared half to death yesterday."

"Wait you found me?"

"Yeah me and Alix did."

"Thank you for helping me."

"It was no problem. Alix will probably call you."

"Okay, bye."

"Bye."

"Tikki did you know?"

"Yes. I'm sorry I thought he should be the one to tell you."

It's okay Tikki. Alix is calling.

"Hey Alix."

"Hey Marinette."

"How are you."

"I'm fine."

"Nino told me you were going to call me."

"Oh, well let's cut to the chase. I figured out Lila is a fake."

"Oh, how did you."

"She told the whole school you threatened her. She's a freaking psycho!"

"Yes she is."

"Mari? She hurt you didn't she?"

"No."

"Marinette please don't lie."

"I'm not!"

"Marinette-"

"Thanks for checking on me but were done with this conversation. Bye Alix."

Marinette hung up the phone.

"Why did you do that!"

"Because! She can't know!"

"Marinette you shouldn't have to deal with this alone!"

"It's my problem. It's my fault. Let's just forget about it."

"Marinette please-"

"That's enough Tikki. I need to blow off some steam. Tikki spots on!"

Marinette had been transformed almost all day. She went home for lunch then left again.

"Hey M'lady."

"Hey Chat. What's up."

"Nothing much how about you."

"Nothing I've been transformed all day."

"All day!"

"Yeah, I wasn't needed at home or a school so I transformed."

"Oh, well would you like to patrol?"

"Sure, what time is it?"

"Six thirty."

"Okay, my family eats dinner at seven so we have about thirty minutes."

"You ready?"

"Sure thing Kitty!"

They finished patrol pretty quickly. It was six fifty so she had a few minutes to talk with Chat.

"So how's life M'lady?"

"It could be better."

"What's wrong Buggaboo."

"Nothing, nothing, I need to go."

"Me to. Same time Friday?"

"Yup, bye Kitty!"

"Bye, Buggaboo!"

They raced home jumping in different windows so they wouldn't see eachother. They ate dinner together. Marinette didn't say anything to Adrien. Adrien tried to make conversation but she just gave quick answers and continued to eat.

"Are you feeling better Marinette?"

"Yes."

"I sat your school work on your desk. Let me know if you need help."

"Okay."

"If you are finished you may be excused. I'm in my office if you need me." Gabriel got up from the table and left.

"Marinette, the competition is this Friday. Are you ready?"

"Sure."

"Sure?"

"Adrien, find a new partner."

"What?"

"You heard me. Goodnight." Marinette got up from the table and went to her room.

"Nathalie did I say anything wrong?"

"I don't think so."

"I'll talk to her." Adrien went to Marinette's room.

"Marinette? can I come in."

"Yes."

He entered to see her sitting on the end of her bed.

"Hey."

She waved at him shyly.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine Adrien. I'm sorry I yelled at you. I did mean what I said though. You should find a new partner for the competition."

"Why?"

She couldn't tell him what happened with Lila or that she had been receiving text all day from students telling her she should drop out. She was sure there were more but Tikki stopped reading them to her.

"Marinette, are you scared to go to school?"

"I-i m-maybe."

"Don't worry I'm not finding a new partner. I'll ask Mrs. Bustier if we can participate from home. I better let you rest." He planted a kiss on her forehead. "Goodnight Marinette."

"N-night."

Adrien stood outside of her door. He could feel the heat rising to his cheeks. What was this feeling. It was like when he kissed Ladybug on her cheek. Ladybug...saying her name he didn't feel anything. Was he falling in love with Marinette?

AN: Two chapters in one weekend! This is just a filler chapter I'm totally aware it's not the best. Hope you liked it though!
