Comm: Delta on station. Alpha on station. Beta on station. Charlie on station.
Cpt. Jackson: Commence operation.
Carter: Commando team, roger.
Ghost Team leader: Ghost copies.
Vampire Team leader: Vampire copies.
-It was the beg of an operation that would make or break a soldier, and it was up to the commando team to do as much damage as possible with the four units they had on hand while the rest took care of the bases mobile suits and warships, it was only after the fact that it was realized that the gundams were pushed to their limits-
Carter: Alright team, let's get in there and sabotage the hangar, all we need to do is destroy the ships and mobile suits in the hangar then destroy the entrance to the hangar, after that is done we will join the battle, prepare to engage.
Alex: Roger.
-Alex was able to master the Reborns and they took it with them to destroy the enemy base-
Rick: Let's do this quickly...stealth typically isn't my thing.
Liz: Same goes for me despite being a sniper.
Carter: No need to worry we will have cover, right now their hands are tied dealing with the multiple squadrons of Braves above the base.
-They fly in close to the surface under the cover of darkness using stealth coating and speed, they come up on the base and find the hangars, anti air fire is everywhere trying to shoot them down, this includes multiple other enemies as well in the form of mobile suits-
Carter: Deal with the pre deployed mobile suits first as well as the anti air turrets!
-Carter pulls out the 100mm machine gun and fires at any auto cannons he can find, destroying 3 in front of him, a mobile suit fires at him and he turns to find its an old version of the ReZEL that has not had its specs updated and it was sniping at him with a beam energy rifle-
Carter: Crap!
-A shot flies by and destroys the RGZ-95-
Liz: Got your back.
Carter: I'll be more careful next time, moving on, there's the main hangar, cover me I'm going to destroy it!
-The hangar was a vertical launch hangar where the ships would land at the bottom and be put on tracks launching them upwards to deploy them when needed, mobile suits would fly freely out of the downward hole and it was at minimum 2,000 meters to the bottom of the hole-
Alex: I'll get the other one!
-Carter gets above the hangar and deploys the Alvarion cannon, powering it up quickly thanks to the new distributor and charging modification and he fires down the hole destroying enemy ships preparing to launch as well as hitting the bottom which had ammunition stored in a floor just below, a very bad design choice as the hangar erupted in an explosion destroying multiple other warehouses being blown up from the inside out, the same happens with the one Alex shoots into-
Carter: All units leave the base, we need to support our units above. Ghost team, Vampire team status!
-No response from either team-
Carter: Come in, have you achieved your objective?
-No response-
Carter: Change of plan, we are going to find and support Ghost and Vampire, they should be targeting the ship building and dry dock area, and the ammunition production and testing site. Let's move!
-Carter moves towards the shipyard and he stops halfway-
Carter: We need to split up, if they have not achieved their objectives the only option is to do it ourselves, Alex you and Rick have the better ability to carry researched projects back to the ship to be studied, me and Liz are better at destroying the enemies work equipment.
Rick: but wouldn't we be faster if we hit them together.
Carter: That's my point if we hit them simultaneously, they won't expect a surprise attack and chances are they may have buggered off to deal with other issues.
-Carter goes and Liz follows and at the shipyard the assumption was correct, the demolition Braves carrying penetrator bombs, to destroy silos as well as ship coverings for built ships were littered everywhere-
Carter: Liz I need you to find the enemy locations and fire rounds at them to weaken the covering structures, once that's done I'll rig the bombs to blow at a specific time using electronics.
Liz: Fine, but please be careful, we already lost one friend recently let's not lose another.
Carter: Agreed, right back at you though.
-Liz did as ordered and found all the sites weakening the containment structures and Carter received minimal resistance, having to fight off some mobile suits custom GM models built off of the GM custom sniper types, but optimized for each type of operation, assault, sniper, commander, sabotage and commando, Carter fired at them using the beam rifle and destroys 3 suits in total, after that its empty there but the sounds of the battle above raged on, Carter planted the explosives and prepared them to explode on the set timer and after 10 minutes the explosives go off destroying the bases ship building facilities, by now the projected time for the battle was 2 hours, it had now gotten to be a 4 hour mission-
Carter: We need to resupply soon, your energy is running low.
Liz: Requesting resupply drone.
-In the meantime of the next 10 minutes Carter patrols the area, Rick and Alex found the secret weapons and documents of the base and found some secrets that would show that the fleet was constantly spied on-
Carter: Liz let's go, you support me from a defilade, try to hit targets from the ground, I'll deal with the enemies in the air.
-Carter takes off at high speed and the comms come crashing in-
-Comms: Delta 4 is down! Alpha 2 has been shot down, he's down!-
Carter: Commando team leader and Commando unit 2 on support.
Alpha: Thanks commando team, we need help, the amount of ships is overwhelming, still got that railgun?
Carter: Order coming right up, Liz get those ships, shoot them in their power sources.
Liz: Roger.
-Liz fires four railgun rounds destroying three ships and crippling the fourth-
Alpha: All units combined attack on that last ship!
-They charge the enemy destroyer and as that happens two carriers drop out of warp, the Abraham Lincoln and the Winston Churchill deploy mobile suits as soon as they drop and they also bring out their entire weapons payload to bear-
Carter: Captain, a set of carriers just dropped out of warp we are going to get destroyed here without backup.
Cpt. Jackson: Backup not authorized, destroy the enemy ships.
Carter: Dammit, I guess I'll have to do it myself!
Liz: Carter wait!
-Carter ignores this and his suit begins to move faster and faster-
Carter: I'm done with holding back, Trans-Am!
-The suit glows red along with the suits eyes turning red, he gets in close and slashes two mobile suits in half, he accelerates even faster, now Corvus is also using this chance to increase reaction speed and they are using that kinetic energy to gain speed to cut through enemy suits-
Carter: Beam rifles are of use as well!
-Carter puts away the 100mm machine gun and pulls out the beam rifle in which he fires at the carriers weapons hardpoints and destroys a torpedo launcher, a missile launcher and two CIWS weapons on one of the carriers, at this point in the war, Carriers had at least 10 weapons hardpoints containing mostly CIWS cannons and was complimented by the mobile suits it carried, its compliment of ReZEL mk2s as well as the ships defensive mobile suits Jegan IIs, they were depicted to also be of use again since they were effective and efficient mobile suits that are modular, with its special operations, defensive and offensive variants-
Carter: Get out of my way!
-Carter slices a ReZEL MK2 in half and continues moving forward-
Carter: Your done now!
-Carter gets close to the enemy carrier then a mobile suit rams him pushing him back and knocking him out of Trans-Am-
Carter: Damn you! Who are you?
???: Leftenant Donald Townsend, I have come to take you down, GUNDAM!
-They clash and not one unit interferes and so it leads Carter to assume that this guy was the ace unit as well as the fact that they are being ignored by the carriers and there are units surrounding them to keep each other from escaping-
Carter: So which do you want to lose? Your mobile suit or your life?
Lt. Townsend: Neither thank you, but if it's any consolation, I'd like to take yours!
Carter: Sorry not happening.
-They both draw their swords and put away their ranged weapons and so the duel began, they held their position for a moment then they both lunged at each other, they clashed and then Carter found a weakness when grappling and sliced off the sword arm of the ReZEL MK2 and so the duel is concluded-
Carter: Surrender or die your choice, I think I will do neither, and just retreat, Silver Team, return to base!
-The mobile suit and ten other mobile suits retreat and meet up with a skiff which promptly FTLs as soon as they are docked up-
Carter: All units this is the final charge, I know you are tired but if we win this we are one step closer to our freedom, fight with the last of your strength!
-A war cry goes up over comms and the attack intensifies, Carter goes into Trans-Am again and Carter takes his beam saber and cuts into the carrier cutting it open and then Carter sticks his 100mm machine gun in the hole and fires emptying the mag in which he pulls out the muzzle and holsters the machine gun and the carrier is starting to bulge and is about to explode as all the internal systems are destroyed and the rounds hit the power cells and the machine gun ammo, which sparked a chain reaction with the fuel and then explodes making shrapnel internally bounce everywhere destroying the Minovsky generator, the Abraham Lincoln was defeated-
Carter: Begin attack on the second Carrier!
-The ship jumps to FTL before they can attack and the debris from the destroyed Abraham Lincoln is everywhere-
Carter: Well done, return to base!
-All the Braves transform and fly back to their ships and Carter and Liz move back to their ship in which they dock their mobile suits and they disembark and when Carter gets down he is weak in the muscles from doing all that fighting and high speed maneuvers-
Alex: Easy there, you were out there for quite a while. Here drink something you must be thirsty.
-Carter grabs the filtered water hose and he drinks it, he gets up and is able to propel himself and he heads to the mess hall in which he eats quite a bit-
Riker: I heard you were out there fighting for 6 hours, nicely done you sure showed them how fighting goes.
Carter: I didn't completely win though.
Riker: Why?
Carter: There was this ReZEL MK2 that was painted this annoying yellow color he escaped before I could finish him.
Riker:Huh, it seems like you have an arch-nemesis now.
Carter: That's not necessarily a good thing.
Riker: I know, but it gives you a goal to work towards.
-They converse about it and Carter gets his fill, he feels tired and he finishes conversing with Riker and he heads back to his room to sleep, he immediately fell asleep again, coming down from the adrenaline and from being scared made him extremely tired, on all accounts he earned that rest, as no mobile suit or mobile suit pilot can easily do a 6 hour operation, and during that time the Braves squadrons had to return to the ship to resupply at least 3 times, in a long endured firefight no one expected something like that but it happened, Liz returned as well and she was also tired, her trigger finger went numb from firing so much to destroy enemy ships and mobile suits, she took a grazing shot and it damaged the mobile suits sensor module on its head. Only then did both sides realize that this was a battle that showed endurance and soldiers on both sides were given accommodations for fighting in that battle, the ace Carter fought was awarded a medal of service, the Golden service star for taking down 10 Braves during that mission and Carter received the Medal of Indelible Service, one which had the engraving of a fleet on it, one which was rarely handed out, Alex received the same for destroying the enemy base (which Carter let her have credit for) and Rick got the distinguished service cross as well as a Purple Heart for the damage he took defending Alex from damage, using an ejected stabilizer in which he threw it and it exploded on the enemy defense cannon destroying itself in the process and the shrapnel as big as a mobile suit forearm hit the mobile suit in the chest destroying the monitor and it damaged Ricks head and neck. Liz received the Cold Marksman Medal, for destroying 5 ships and 19 enemy mobile suits, other soldiers received the airmen's medals and it was a morale booster as now they had a hero they could look to, same went for the MWDFs side looking at Lt. Townsend as a hero, and very soon the clash of the two hero's would happen and it would be a bloody battle with no mercy. After this battle the veterans who fought this battle were spread greatly amongst both sides forces and they were trained well with what to expect from both sides making it very hard to decide a winner from both battles as they knew each others weaknesses and strengths. But one thing was for sure...a battle that would be fought the hardest was to come and it would be very soon...-
