"I can't believe she knows Hawks!" Kaminari exclaimed as he, Sero and Momo were all hanging by Jirou's desk.

"I mean it makes sense, she works with pros so why wouldn't Hawks be one of them?" Momo tried to reason, which to most made a lot of sense.

"Yeah but... didn't they seem a lil more than work friends?" Kaminari tried to tease out with his cheeky grin.

"Oh my god Kaminari... he's like 22, that's like VERY illegal. I doubt it's anything like that." Jirou commented, in slight disgust at her friend's comment.

In the back of the classroom Todoroki had been subtly listening to the gossiping and, even though he hid it well, he was enraged.

"Oh but come on! They would make the most amazing power couple in the world!" Kaminari added. That was it, something snapped in Todoroki and he couldn't listen to this any longer. He shot up from his chair and went to take the rest of his break elsewhere. The second he sent the door smashing as he slid it open which made a few of the class jump in their spots, he was too peeved off to notice the girl standing in front of him as he stepped out and banged the door shut. The second he looked up he met those wild red, yet calm, eyes he had waited to see all day. Both teens were a little shaken from the door slamming and ended up looking at each other awkwardly for a few seconds too long. Todoroki happened to notice what she was wearing.

"You're in school uniform...?" he asked her, still frozen.

Ashley nodded back and smiled at him, "I am still a student, thought I'd dress the part." she laughed softly.

Damn. He thought to himself, only to realise Ashley probably heard that as raised her eyebrows at him. His eyes widened in embarrassment and Ashley held in an amused giggle. "Sorry..." she started as he avoided her eyes. "I had to take a break with the limiter." she explained a faint blush on her cheeks appeared and she smiled at him as he looked back at her.

"Ashley!" a yell came from down the hallway snapping the two teens out of their trance. They both turned their heads to see Present Mic walking towards them. Ashley smiled at the hero as if to ask him what he needed. "Can you pleeeeease get the English textbooks from the downstairs storage room?" he asked her in an annoyingly loud volume that didn't seem to face her. Ashley smiled and nodded at the teacher before turning to her classmate.

"Give me a hand?" she asked him with the same smile on her face.

When he didn't reply instantly she raised her brows. Say yes. He heard her voice say, but her lips hadn't moved. It didn't take him long to realise she had used her quirk to communicate with him. He nodded as he looked between her and the teacher.

"Perrrrfect! Get 21 and place them on the teacher's desk in 1-A!" Present Mic exclaimed before walking away. Without hesitating Ashley began to walk toward the stairs, she turned back to Todoroki who had remained frozen on the spot.

"Come on." she called to him, still wearing that ice thawing smile on her lips; her eyes were connected to his as if they called him. With that, he began to walk toward her and together went down into the storage room.

**CRASH**

The sound of books and stationary hitting the ground was followed by the crashing of the metal shelving units as Todoroki pinned the girl against them. They couldn't even remember how they had gone from walking in to kissing hidden in the shelves. As Ashley had her back against the cold metal her right leg was raised up as Todoroki held it to his side by the knee, his other hand moved from her waist to her back to the back of her head. Ashley's hands both lost in his hair as she held on the the sides of his head. Anytime they found themselves alone they were both overcome with the need of being like this together. The burning sensation of their lips against each other, fighting for attention by the other. As they constantly pushed against each other, needing to be closer and closer, Todoroki felt his need to be with her cross a line and he broke away. Still holding her close as they both panted for air as their life depended on it.

"I-I have to stop..." he said in between breathes; It took all the strength in him to control himself. As their breathing starting to slow down Ashley nodded back at him. Todoroki stepped to her right and leaned up against the wall facing the door. Ashley slid down the shelving unit to sit on the ground, still out of breathe. Both of the teens' uniforms were all out of place, Todoroki's shirt completely untucked and Ashley's half in half out and the first couple of buttons undone along with both of their ties and blazers thrown on the ground. Ashley accessed the moment over and over in her head unable to understand why they kept finding themselves in these situations, like magnets. As she thought on she could hear the same thoughts in his mind playing over and over again. As she found relief in the fact that she wasn't lost in this alone she also had another question in mind.

"Why are you so cold towards the whole class?" she asked him out on a limb. He turned his head toward her in confusion. Why is she asking me about that? He thought, forgetting Ashley had free access to his thoughts at the moment as her eyebrows raised up feeling like she had asked a wrong question.

Todoroki sighed, "There is no need for frivolous things as friendships, there's no point. I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to become a hero." he said, looking down at his hands, a piercing coldness in his voice. Ashley looked at him with confusion and pity in her eyes.

"He did quite a number on you didn't he..." she commented, whispering and removing her gaze from him. His head whipped back to her, his eyes wide in shock and an underlining feeling of anger. Just as he was about to speak the storage room door flew open which shed light on the two teens sitting on the ground in its path. The two jumped as they turned to face the spiky red haired boy standing in the doorway.

"Oh for the love of God!" Kirishima exclaimed in annoyance at the sight he had walked in on. Ashley and Todoroki shot up to tidy themselves up in a hurry. Ashley had never seen Todoroki move faster in his life as she watched him throw on his uniform and walk toward the door.

"What are you doing here?" she spat at her best friend, embarrassed at being caught in such a compromising state.

"Present Mic said you had gone down here almost 20 mins ago and class is about to start so I was coming to see if you were alive... and well, you're alive!" Kirishima spoke in similar annoyed but now slightly sarcastic tone. As the two spoke Todoroki had stopped and was watching them interact, not knowing if to say anything. The three all looked at each other, an overwhelming sense of embarrassment coming from Todoroki and Ashley and just genuine disbelief form Kirishima. After a few gut wrenching seconds of awkwardness Todoroki decided he's had enough and walked out and toward the stairs. Kirishima looked toward his, dumbfound at the stark escape his flatmate had taken. Ashley followed him out the the doorway where she watched Todoroki turn up the flight of stairs. She could hear Kirishima's thoughts on the boy and she turned to slap him on his arm.

"Hey!" he protested, "Don't get mad at me! I thought you were going to talk to him?" he asked her crossing his arms.

"I was!" she tried to convince him to which he widened his eyes and cocked an eyebrow questioning that.

"Yeah it really looks like you did a lot of talking!" he teased her pointing at the obvious hand mark on her thigh from where Todoroki had held her to which she jumped and attempted to cover it with her skirt.

"Urghhh... I w-was until you decided to burst in!" she told him, still completely flustered. She grabbed the rest of her stuff and straightened out before grabbing the books Present Mic had asked for, handing half over to Kirishima, and walking back towards the classroom.

The day had gone on, full of "normal classes" Ashley had the pleasure of finally being part of. She had been homeschooled most of her life, apart from a couple years when she was very young, so it was nice to finally have a taste of "normal". She had put her limiter back in for classes otherwise her quirk would probably go haywire. It had only been a couple weeks and yet so much had happened, it all replayed to her as she sat in the final lesson of the day which her father was teaching. With only a few minutes left Aizawa wanted to prep the students for the upcoming event.

"Okay, listen up!" he called getting all of his students' attention. "The sports festival is next week, this event will allow you to use and show off your quirks and puts you in the public eye for the first time as heroes." He explained, his students' attention getting more and focused. "So don't mess it up."
