The Enemy Of My Enemy Is My Friend - Part 1

Alright ladies and gentlemen, before we begin the chapter we witnessed Julio kidnapping Bia, and now he's about to do something which could potentially spark up more hatred for him or more fear! Why do you ask? How about we see for ourselves? Let's do this!

Blu was flying over the city of Rio in search for his green winged macaw friend, who he treated so badly a few moments ago.

He had a lot of thoughts on his mind regarding what happened back at the hollow, which made him feel extremely guilty.

"I can't believe I did that to him! I'm such a terrible friend for doing that! I know he was at fault for my child getting taken…but he didn't know that! I hope he's alright!" The blue male thought to himself as he continued his search.

He flew everywhere! The beach, the club, the jungle and he even went to the market! He couldn't find him anywhere in sight! But then…he remembered what Nightfly told him about going to a certain somewhere whenever he felt sad.

"The Christ The Redeemer Statue! Of course!" Blu says out loud to himself before changing direction and flying towards the huge statue.

Meanwhile…In Sergio's Hollow

The Spanish dove went out to get some breakfast for his wife after a long night with Julio, Dylan and Alexander. He carried a leaf with two mangoes and Brazil nuts that were hard to find. But Brazil nuts were his wife's favourite.

He arrived just outside of their hollow and peaked his head inside to wake his wife up. "Honey! I'm back! I brought your favourite!" He beamed as he entered the hollow…but there was nobody there.

He dropped the leaf of food on the floor and looked around the hollow to see if his wife was hiding somewhere.

"Honey? Come on stop fooling around! This isn't…funny?" Sergio looked on the floor of the hollow near the nest and noticed a single feather just laying down in the nest. But it didn't belong to a dove…it belonged to a hyacinth macaw!

The dove widened his eyes in shock and noticed a small trail of…blood leading to the wall. But what was on the wall was even more terrifying for him.

Words were written on the wall in blood. Unfortunately Sergio didn't know how to read or write. But he needed to find someone that could read the message.

"Shit! I need to find someone that knows how to read! Oh wait…I know! That green winged macaw! I have to find him!" Sergio said to himself before shooting out of the hollow in search for the bird who could help him.

The Christ The Redeemer Statue…

Martin sat down on the right arm of the statue, overlooking the beautiful city with so much warmth in his eyes. However, the thought of him putting his friends kids in danger just brings back all this guilt and sadness inside of his heart.

"I'm a terrible bird! Ever since I came out bad things have happened to me! Now I seem to be causing loads of other problems in this world! I deserve to die!" Martín softly spoke to himself, tearing up between words. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice a certain someone landing besides him.

"Now why would you say something stupid like that?" Martín turned to his side and saw the bird in front of him that revealed to be Blu.

"Oh…hey Blu. I was just…leaving…" Martin said to him softly and was about to take off when the blue male pulled on his wing.

"No Martin, wait! Please don't go!" Blu demanded calmly as Martin stopped flapping his wings and spun around with teary eyes.

"I'm sorry if I caused you any further problems!"

"No Martin…I just came by to say…" Blu was about to respond until Martin placed a wingtip on Blu's beak to stop him from talking.

"Honey stop…you don't have to say anything! I'm the one who should say sorry here!"

"No Martin! I'm the one who should be apologising here! I shouldn't have treated you like that back there! You didn't know that Alexander and Dylan were following you. It's not your fault!" Blu responded sincerely while patting the green winged male on the shoulder.

"But if it wasn't for me your daughter would still be there at the hollow! I basically put your family in danger!"

"But you didn't know that! Martin…you are a really good friend and a great bird! Any guy would be lucky to have someone as kind hearted and considerate as you!"

"You really mean that?" Martin replied while looking at Blu with hopeful eyes.

"Of course Martin! You are my friend and you always will be! I'm so so sorry for what I did to you back there!" Blu apologised, and pulled Martin into a friendly hug which he accepted. However when Blu tried to pull away, Martin just held him closer. "Ok, ok that's enough buddy!"

"Just two more seconds darling, I'm just enjoying the moment!"

"Ok ok get off me!" Blu laughed while separating from the hug. "Now…we have to get back to the others as quickly as possible so we can plan out how to get Bia back!"

"Absolutely! We have to…oh no!" Martin cursed while looking at a newcomer who had arrived on the statue.

"What's the matter?" Blu questioned him while looking at him in a strange way. That was until he turned around to notice an all too familiar dove. "YOU!"

"NO STOP! I'm not here to hurt you! I need your help my friend!" Sergio demanded while pleading for their aid.

"Why should we help you traitor! You work for the enemy! I should bitch slap that pretty face off, sweet beak!" Martin shouted at him while raising his wing up in a threatening position.

"No! Please! My wife has gone missing! I don't know where…but I think Julio has taken her!"

"And how exactly is that our problem? You deserve to suffer!" Blu snapped back while crossing his wings. "You sent us on the wrong plane all those years ago! But I'm glad you did, otherwise I never would have met Martin!"

Martin smiled at his friend and patted him on the back. Then he lowered his wing towards Blu's butt, but then the blue male slapped it away.

"Yes yes I know Blu! I was the one who brought Dylan, Alice, Chloe and everyone here! But I realise now I never should have trusted Julio! Please my friend! I don't want my wife to die! I'm begging you!" Sergio was on his knees begging and pleading for them to help him.

Blu and Martin looked at each other unsurely, until Martin realised that getting help from the dove could be useful to them.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend! Of course we'll help you!" Martin beamed as he pulled the dove up to his feet.

"You will?"

Blu was unsure about whether this was a good idea or not…but then again he didn't really have any other choice.

"Yes! But only if you promise never to work for Julio again!" Blu snapped at him while pointing towards the dove in a threatening manner.

"Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Please! Follow me! I'll take you to where we should start!" Sergio squawked happily while taking off in a random direction.

Blu and Martin shrugged their shoulders and reluctantly decided to follow him, with huge suspicions about why Sergio is begging for their help.

At The Beach Pad…

Nico returned to his beach pad to grab a few items that he thought could be useful for when they plan on how to rescue his friends daughter.

He spent at least ten to fifteen minutes going through some of the interesting stuff that he found by the shore.

"Ok so we have…matches, firecrackers which I assume would be helpful! Chains, pins that could be useful for picking locks! Then we have this little…what is this?" Nico said to himself as he opened up a bag of some sort.

He opened it up and immediately closed it after getting a whiff of what was inside. "Bloody heck! Who would leave a bag of dog shit on the beach! Some humans make me sick! You don't see birds crapping themselves in the middle of the hollow!"

"Not unless you count Nightfly as one of them!"

"AHHHH!" Nico screamed in a high pitch voice when he heard someone creeping into the room, who revealed to be Tanya.

"Oh sorry Nico! I didn't meant to scare you like that!" Tanya giggled as she entered the room with a warm and friendly smile.

"Me? Scared? Of course not! I was just a bit…surprised! Anyway, how can I help?" Nico replied a little pitchy while slowly calming down.

"Well I came by to see whether you needed any help carrying this stuff back to the hollow? But I also cane for another reason!"

"Oh? What would that be?" Nico wondered while raising a curious eyebrow at the hyacinth female.

"Violet spoke to me about twenty minutes ago and told me that you barely spoke to her since her visit? Why is that?" Tanya wondered while narrowing her eyes at him and smirking.

"Tanya…you know I want to talk to her! But it's just too…complicated!"

"In what way is it complicated? You like her and she likes you!"

"Yes I realise that! Tanya…I've loved Violet ever since I met her! When I met Zara for the first time I felt like I was in love! But then when she chose Pedro over me, it made me realise that I'm…I'm still in love with Violet! But…"

"But what?"

"But…she lives in Minnesota! I live in Rio! I couldn't ask her to move for me!" Nico sadly replied while putting everything together in a bag big enough for a macaw to carry.

Tanya put a wingtip on her chin to think for a moment, and she thought of a great idea.

"I could ask her!"

"What?" Nico replied in complete surprise, however he did think on the other hand it would be easier if she asked her.

"I could ask her if she thought about moving to Rio permanently! It's perfect!"

"Are you sure that's a good idea? Won't she freak out and say no?"

"I'll ask her as a friend! Look, I'll carry this stuff back to the hollow and then I'll talk to her, ok?"

"Ok! Thanks Tanya!" Nico responded happily as he left the beach pad, followed by Tanya who flew just behind him carrying the items.

Back At Sergio's Hollow…

Blu and Martin followed the Spanish dove back to his home and immediately flew inside the hollow entrance to see what the problem was.

"Wow! They really messed this place up didn't they?" Martin spoke to nobody in particular while fanning himself with his wing.

"Actually…this is just my home!" Sergio rudely replied while feeling insulted by his comment.

"Oh…well it's fabulous!" The green winged macaw replied nervously while chuckling to himself.

Blu eventually cut in to make Sergio tell them why they were there. "Anyway…what did you want to show us?"

"That!" Sergio responded while pointing to the wall of the hollow. Blu and Martin gagged a little when they noticed that the words were written in blood.

"Ughh I think I'm gonna be sick!" Martin whined while covering his beak. He started vomiting out of the hollow which made both Blu and Sergio cringe. "Jeez! I never saw anything that gruesome like…EVER!"

Blu took a deep breath and leaned in a little closer to read what it said. Trying not to think of the words being written in cold blood.

"Sorry kid, it's nothing personal, it's just business! We are leaving to go back to São Paulo! Signed, Julio!" Blu read the message aloud and started thinking about that odd message.

"Why would he do this to me! I was best friends with his son! He betrayed me!" Sergio screamed out loud in a deafening tone of voice.

"Look Sergio…wait what son?" Blu responded anxiously.

"Douglas. Why?"

"Never mind! Look we need to find out when they are leaving to return to São Paulo! It could take a few hours for us to get there and we have no time to lose!" Blu demanded as he immediately took off towards the rest of his friends.

Sergio and Martin immediately followed suit and sighed deeply because they both knew that it wouldn't exactly be a warm welcome for the dove.

Meanwhile…In São Paulo

"Throw them in the bedroom and lock the door!" Julio angrily shouted at Alexander as he threw a female dove in a tight room with only one window. Bia then got thrown in by Dylan who landed on the female dove's back.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS! WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!" The female shouted in fear as the door got slammed behind her. Leaving the two girls alone in the room. Or so they thought!

Bia immediately got up from where she landed and walked over to the adult female with tears in her eyes.

"Why are they doing this to us? I want my mommy and daddy!" The small blue chick cried while hugging the dove's belly.

The dove wrapped a warm wing around her for comfort and soothed her with loving words. "It will be ok little one. My husband will find us and get us out of here!" She responded half heartedly. Because she didn't believe what she said was true.

Suddenly a small coughing noise was heard from the corner of the room, and the bird spoke up in a croaky voice. For some reason the dove instantly recognised that voice.

"Helena? Is that you?"

The female dove spun around very quickly, and immediately recognised the bird in front of her. "Oh…my…god! I can't believe it! But…how?"

"It's ok Helena...it's like you said! My best friend will get us out of this!" The bird responded happily while getting up from his bed and smiled at them.

Now…I wonder who that could be? I may have said a character could return but I didn't say wether it would be revealed did I? But if you read the chapter word for word…you can already guess who it might be! I'm afraid you'll have to wait for chapter 11 for that one! Because in the next chapter, we are going to look more into Nico and Violet! As well as a few humorous moments with Pedro (Of course!) and Alex! Without any other explanations, see you all soon! Chapter 10 is on its way!
