Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Amusing Assistants. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Heavy Object, Kazuma and a few others do.

Sage knew for a fact that this plan was insane. Froleytia' s skill was more valuable on the frontlines. Froleytia had put her own life at risk for an operation. One which he believed their soldiers could do better.

He put that aside as he shot one of the soldiers in the chest. Sage watched another bring his gun up only for Froleytia to shoot him first.

"I hate this so much." Sage muttered to himself while he aimed. He fired another 2 shots. Every single bullet counted; he hadn't packed many magazines. Sage didn't expect to be on the frontlines so fast.

Froleytia continued to shoot down soldiers. Her aim cost at least 2 of the soldiers their lives. Another 4 soldiers rushed in; their rifles ready.

"Can I object again?" Sage questioned as he checked the magazine. He had fired 3 of 12 shots. "This plan is tactically suicide." Sage stated before taking cover.

"Just take care of those AA guns!" Froleytia yelled before opening fire. She scored a headshot as she sought cover.

Sage questioned if the officer and sniper had any tactics on this mission. Sage didn't question orders, but he did find them stupid. Sage started to check to find a weakness.

Sage knew the ammo for the cannons were fragile. If he pierced one of the shells? They'd detonate, taking the rest of the gun emplacement with them.

"This will alert every unit within 2 miles at best." Sage stated with a frown. He knew how imperative it was to have air support. The Information Alliance didn't have an Object in the area.

Sage sighed and grabbed one of the Information soldiers and grabbed their rifle. He'd destroy the canon, but they couldn't be in the area.

To fail now? Sage knew that the Information Kingdom would be aware of the strike at their AA gun. Sage expected them to set up more to deal with more air support.

"This will suck." Sage stated to himself before looking towards where Froleytia had went.

(With Froleytia)

Froleytia was not stupid. She knew very well that this plan would end up getting her killed possibly. It was a risk she was willing to take for her men.

She fired the last of her clip. The soldier fell, a freshly burnt hole in his helmet. Froleytia pulled out a fresh magazine and loaded her weapon with it.

"Sage is right, though." Froleytia admitted to herself with a frown. She knew very well that if he was here? Froleytia would hear no end from the risks.

Logical or not? They'd take far more losses if they went into battle without air support. The reports Froleytia did have on the city? It shoved dozens of well dug in positions. Far more soldiers then Froleytia had under her command.

It would be a massacre if they didn't silence the guns. The battle depended on if her men had air support. Maybe it was suicide to rely on this mission to destroy their air support.

But what kind of commander was Froleytia? What was she if she let her men die for her left and right?

"I'd be a coward if I didn't do this." Froleytia stated before something caught her eye.

A massive flash of light cut her off. The crack of noise which sounded like lightning? It told her that Sage had destroyed the AA guns.

Froleytia sighed and picked up her radio. She could hear gunfire over the other end.

"Those guns are gone!" Sage yelled over the sound of gunfire. "Can we please get out of here and back to camp?!" Sage questioned as more gunfire was heard.

"Sage, get back to base." Froleytia ordered before looking at the rows of soldiers looking for her. "I'll get back to base soon. I have to try and escape their patrols." Froleytia stated as she checked her weapon.

"You don't want me to come and pick you up?" Sage questioned. Part of him knew this was not going to be a negotiation.

"That's an order, Lieutenant." Froleytia said and put her radio on her belt. "I hate how much I care, sometimes." Froleytia stated to herself.

She knew very well Sage and the others would want to find her. Froleytia was as much their morale as she was their commander. They would never want to fight without her.

That was a weakness as much was it was caring. Froleytia sighed and started to leave her cover. Fighting was going to be next to impossible at the moment.

Froleytia sighed once more. She looked to the side and started to move.

"I hate this." Froleytia stated to herself while cracking her neck and rushing out of the way. "I cannot believe this. I'm worrying over my lieutenant." Froleytia said and gave a smile to herself.

She slowly made her way back to their battle lines.

Author notes

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Froleytia and Sage are going to bond slowly. Next chapter will sadly be in 2-3 months. I will try and make chapters longer. But they will be less frequent. Next chapter will show Froleytia returning to base and Sage waiting for their orders and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out! Peace!
