We went to a farmhouse Mary claimed belonged to her family for years now; it would be safe. Tei woke up, noticing he was feeling better. "You're welcome." I told him happily, watching Dean and Sam explain to their parents the purpose of holy oil and banishing sigils, then getting to work on setting all that up. We hung around the inside of the house for about an hour, when I overheard Dean telling Mary the entire truth: that she was killed by a yellow-eyed demon when Sam was a baby, and John became a hunter for revenge. The same yellow-eyed demon they told me they'd ran into before?

I walked in at the same time as John only to see and feel everything shake. The windows were shattering, power blown out, and everyone covered their ears except Tei and I. The high-pitched sound didn't bother me at all. I was taught this meant angels were approaching. When the sound was gone the door swung open by itself and a fancy black man in a suit walked in all bad ass like.

"Who the hell are you?" Dean asked him.

"I'm Uriel," he introduced with a smirk.

"Oh, come on!" Dean groaned, stepping back. He clearly knew this Uriel character. Anna appeared on the other side of him and the fight began. She blasted John outside as I ran at her with Sam. She backhanded me against the wall, shocking me - wasn't she still weak like Cas? Anna stabs Sam to death next, then Tei unleashes a wave of power beyond recognition, sending out what looked like a shockwave of angelic power. Anna took the full of it, but I could tell Tei wasn't back to full strength so she managed to get back up.

"Sammy!" Dean shrieked, clashing with Uriel.

Tei goes after me. Anna walked towards Mary and said, "I'm really sorry."

She's not getting away with this! I grit my teeth as Tei gets me up, prepared to attack her again when we were forced to stop. I felt immobile. Unable to move any inch of my body. "What the-?" I gaped. "Tei, what's going on?"

"Anna."

I looked over to see John, only... it wasn't him. I sensed holy power within him. He cocked his head a little and stepped forward. Anna stepped back in fear. "...Michael." She gasped.

Oh, shit! Did she just say Michael? As in... the Archangel? The Archangel in question went up, put a hand on Anna's shoulder, and incinerated her.

End of story.

Michael made Uriel disappear and he made Mary faint. "Well, I'd say this conversation is long overdue."

I could move again. I took a breath and went to check on Sam. "Lynn? I suggest you stay right there," Michael ordered, staring at me. I nodded and stepped back. "Both of you." He added, not having to look at Tei, but he knew. As Michael and Dean talked, I stared at Michael. Another Archangel. Another 'Uncle'. He healed Sam, then explained about the Winchester vessel bloodline, which I thought was pretty interesting. It stretched back all the way to Cain and Abel themselves.

Was Michael really the good guy though?

"Awesome. Six degrees of Heaven Bacon. What do you want with me?" Dean remarked.

Michael smirked. "You really don't know the answer to that?"

This argument was about to get intense. Stupid riff raff about Michael possessing Dean and Lucifer possessing Sam so they could have their long awaited prize fight. I watched him make Dean disappear at the end of his legit monologue. When he turned to me I leaned against the wall. "Lynn, I'd like to thank you for being rebellious from your father." He said sincerely.

I smirked. "Well, you're welcome."

Smiling endlessly, he walked towards us. "Teivel," he started. "I see you've failed miserably. This is the thanks I get for waking you up?"

...what? What did he say?

Tei scowls. "It won't happen again."

"I certainly expect not," Michael spat. Tei looked a little scared, whether it was of Michael or what Michael said, I wasn't sure. The Archangel now looks back to me. "Stop interfering." He warned me.

I gulped. Michael sighs and puts two fingers on our foreheads to zap us back to the future.

Now back in the motel room from before this entire adventure started, Cas appeared last, impressed he made it back to the right time, and fainted yet again. We were too quick to toss him on the bed.

"I could use that drink now." Dean decided.

"Yeah." Sam and I agreed.

Tei looked at me suspiciously. "You drink now?" Is that really the first thing he says after what I heard Michael say?

"Listen..." I sighed. If he wants to ignore it, I have to play along for now. "I'll just blame Jo for it." This makes the Winchesters chuckle.

After pouring our glasses, Dean said, "Well... this is it."

"This is what?" Sam asked.

"Team Free Will: an ex-blood junkie, a dropout with six bucks to his name, Mr. Comatose over there, and the Devil's daughter here with a bodyguard," Dean explained. "It's awesome."

"It's not funny," Sam said with a sour stare.

"I'm not laughing," Dean remarked.

I raised the glass to my lips. Team Free Will? "I'm not laughing either." I agreed, taking a long drink. Tei watches me in disapproval, but oh well.

Just when I'd finally considered our Germany mountain safehouse our home, that feeling was completely shattered. Tei took one little step forward once we zapped ourselves here and I immediately went after him. "You! Start talking!"

"About what?" He tried to ask innocently.

"You know what," I felt anger boiling up inside. "About what Michael said. What did you fail? And what did he mean when he said he woke you up?"

Tei always watches me. No matter how creepy that sounds, I know I close to never leave his sight. For as long as I can remember and it's never bothered me. He's my best friend. Best friends aren't supposed to keep secrets from each other.

"You have to stay away from Lucifer," Tei warned me. "Nothing's changed, Lynn. You're safe with me."

I start tapping my chin. "So, Michael wants you to keep me from Lucifer. Why?" Surely it wasn't just so I wouldn't go dark side, would it? Stop interfering, Michael told me. Stop interfering in what? Or with what?

"I don't know," Tei doesn't really answer my question.

"Why did he wake you up?" I asked him next. "Did he bring you out of a coma or something?"

"Or something," Tei muttered. He makes it to the long couch, fixing himself in a fetal position, facing away from me. Clearly he doesn't want to talk about this, but I need to know.

"Tei, listen to me," I said quietly, approaching the couch. "We need to talk about this. I can't trust you if we don't."

He turns around to face me, stretching his legs out to make room for me. I sighed and knelt down to climb onto the couch, laying next to him. I felt strange, really. I wasn't used to being this close to him. He'd always kept his distance as I grew up, with the exception of hugs of course. And lately with the hand-holding... okay, now you know why I feel strange.

"I guess I was in what you'd call a deep, prolonged sleep," Tei whispered into my ear, putting his arm over me. "It was a spell someone put on me, so I knew it would wear off at some point, but I didn't know when that would be. The next thing I know, I open my eyes. Michael, the Archangel, is there. He gets me up and tells me I have an important job."

I'm guessing that job involves me. "What is it?" I asked.

Tei then gently pulls me in tighter and that strange feeling grows deeper inside me. "To look after the child of Lucifer as she trials a life on Earth." He seemed to quote word for word.

I'm so confused about everything Tei said - from being in a long sleep from a spell to being given a mission by a real Archangel to protect me. What I do understand is that he really is something of a bodyguard isn't he? Dean really wasn't kidding. If that's the case, why do I feel like it's more than that? In a matter of seconds I realize I'm a complete idiot; I've been cuddling with Tei this whole time, he's reading my thoughts right now.

"Because I love you," he admitted. "But I think you've known that for a long time now."

Oh hell no, we are not going to have this conversation, I thought to myself and then groaned out loud at my idiocy once again.

"Yes we are," Tei insisted. "Lynn, what do you feel for me?"

I sighed. "It's hard to explain."

"Then don't explain, let me see," he offered. "Just relax and we can figure this out."

"Figure what out?" I'm borderline panicking.

Tei remained here with me on the couch in silence for a while before he answered, "Us."

Is he feeling as torn as I am? I think encountering Michael (again for him and maybe again for me as well) is messing with him pretty badly. I want to help him.

"You can help me by telling me how you feel about me." He encouraged almost child-like. I rolled my eyes.

"Lately when I think about you, I get this strange feeling inside. You told me when I was a kid that I wouldn't experience emotions not nearly as strong as humans do since I'm not human... but this feeling, it's intense." I admitted.

"Is it warm?" Tei asked. "The feeling inside?"

I feel like this is some corny Disney movie, but I nodded and put my hand over my heart. "Yeah, here. It's like I'm nervous but nothing is scaring me."

Tei suddenly chuckled, which is something I don't think I've ever heard him do. We've laughed together countless times but this chuckling was very new to me. He starts hugging me tighter and says, "That's love you're feeling, angel bug."

Is he serious? How is this possible? I closed my eyes, trying to relax. So this was normal, huh? It doesn't seem so strange anymore then. I realize it's been a long day, so I keep my eyes closed, eventually falling into a peaceful sleep in Tei's arms.

Weeks pass. My unusual life on Earth continues. I've been acting like I need to re-trust Tei all over again, but it feels like the first time for me since I can't recall a time when he wasn't around. To start to make up for keeping secrets from me, I've been having Tei teach me extensively on my powers, not some child proof stuff that Cas usually did or Tei would do when I was growing up.

You could say I wanted to be able to incinerate an angel like Michael did to Anna.

One late evening I get a phone call from Cas and I knew it would be for something important. "Hey Cas, what's up?" I'm met with loud chewing and swallowing before Cas apologizes.

"We will need your help, Lynn. We've run into the Horseman Famine."

"That's an interesting conversation starter," I laughed, coming out of my personal bathroom. I exit my room to get to the front of the house. Tei is in the living room where he usually resides. "Send me the location and we'll be there."

Tei slowly looks behind from on the couch. "What are we hunting this time?"

"Famine, the Horseman," I tell him simply, going for my shoes by the front door, around the couches.

"Wait, seriously?" Tei stands up from the couch. "Right now, we're going after him?"

"Unless you want to stay here?" I suggested.

Tei narrowed his orange-colored eyes. "No matter what happens between us, you will never leave my sight again."

I smirked at him. "I guess we'd better get going then."

"You know, I'm starting to miss the old Lynn," Tei admitted, coming around to stand by me. "This new Lynn is so stubborn and independent."

"You just don't like that I'm starting to learn the truth," I corrected him, watching him twist his face up just slightly. "Whatever else you've been keeping from me, Teivel, I'll find out."

Now he looked annoyed. "Angel bug, can you go back to calling me just Tei?" He nearly pleaded.

I raised one eye as I took his hand to prepare for our flight. "Why?" I ask as I zap us outside the motel Cas listed on the address.

He squeezed my hand. "I like it." He said simply. I remained quiet as I knocked on the motel room door. A very confused looking Dean answers it, letting us in. "So it's a Horseman this time, huh?" Tei asked sarcastically.

Cas nodded, sitting and eating something out of a White Castle bag. Seeing that gave me a sudden urge for some bacon. Man, that sounded good right now. Sam was washing his face in the bathroom sink. "So, what? This whole town is going to eat, drink, and screw itself to death?" He asked aloud.

"We should stop it?" Cas suggested casually in between his munching. That explains the odd behavior over the phone earlier.

"How do we do that?" I asked. "The last Horseman I ran into put an iron blade in me." I shuddered at the recent memory. Tei takes my hand in an act of comfort.

"Speaking of, how did you guys stop that Horseman?" Cas wondered.

Dean went over to his luggage, pulling out some kind of fancy ring. "War got his powers from this ring. We cut it off him and he turned and ran. Everyone that was affected by him was cured. You think Famine has his own ring too?"

Cas nodded. "I know he does."

"Great, can we attempt to stop him now?" I asked.

Sam finally exited the bathroom looking groggy. "I think I should stay behind, I think Famine's affected me. I'm hungry for it, Dean."

Dean's face fell as I cluelessly asked, "Hungry for what? Are you a vampire?"

"It's not human blood he wants," Dean admitted sadly. "It's demon blood."

"You guys go cut that bastard's finger off," Sam encouraged. "But you're gonna have to lock me down good before you go."

When we're on our way out of here I'm going to demand all of the information on why Sam likes demon blood. I can't imagine drinking it, much less imagining a human consuming it. WHY? I stare at everyone with confusing eyes as Dean uses handcuffs on his brother to lock him to the bathroom sink.

Tei was still holding my hand when I felt him step a little closer to me. "Angel bug?" He leans down to whisper in my ear.

"Yeah?" I give him a weird look for him trying to creep closer to my face. "Are you okay?"

"I believe that Horseman's effects are happening to me as well," Tei admitted as we exit the motel, piling into the back of the Impala.

"Great, you too?" Dean groaned. "How about you, Lynn?"

"If the Horseman is increasing our cravings or things like that, I guess I could go for a batch of French fries right now." I determined.

"You're possibly more resistant," Cas concluded. "Due to your demonic heritage."

Dean starts driving. I worriedly look at Tei. "What are you craving for?"

He sighed, urging me to get even closer to him. I scoot over and nearly end up in his lap. "Just stay close to me." He urged, keeping a firm hold of my hand. Now I can focus on his disaster train of thoughts, only to realize that Famine was enhancing his feelings for me. Craving... me. We have to stop this guy NOW.
