After all of the partying was done and the music died down, everyone began to continue their regular daily routine. Of course, random partying was normal for them all. So everyone carried on as if nothing ever happened when the music stopped. Now, the sun was setting in the orange horizon. This signaled our two favorite lost trolls.
How? This meant that they will be continuing their journey tomorrow. They had to pack and prepare and find out the best course of action. Lukas said that they would only stay a couple days. Well, a couple days is almost over. Because of this, here was King Trollex with King Lucas. While Suki was away with Tambora, Marimba, and Dulce, they were planning ahead.
They were currently in a conference room of sorts. Trollex sat in the seat in front of Lucas. From there, he can see the other troll clearly. That was also the same for Lucas. That way, they can see whether the other really approves of a suggestion despite their words.
Lukas nodded as he looked over a map. "Hmm...it seems as though you two will have to travel deeper into the thickets in order to find your way back to the land of the major genres. Something tells me once you reach that land, you will be fine. Just remember that the ground belongs to you, but the air and seas belong to the pirates. If you two can remember that, you should be fine." He looked up at the other troll.
Trollex's eyebrows furrowed. "But, I live in the sea. The sea belongs to the techno trolls." He disagreed with a small frown.
Lukas pursed his lips at that. "Trollex, Amigo. When you were on the ship, how many types of trolls did you see?"
Trollex's expression….slowly changed to one of revelation. He was shocked. Why? Because he remembered all of the trolls he saw on the pirate ship. He remembers the ones that looked like techno trolls. Maybe...maybe...they were techno trolls! Did they become Chanty Trolls? Techno Reef is such a nice place. Why would they want to join a vicious civilization, harm others, and kidnap instead!?
Trollex looked back at Lukas. He leaned back in his chair at a loss for words. "I-I-I...never thought of that before." He tapped the table with a dark blue finger.
Lukas nodded slowly. He rested his fuzzy hands on the table. "It is hard to...even ponder this, but some citizens you just can't trust." His fingers laced together and frowned. "They call themselves the Chanty Trolls and they do sing chanties, but over time they began to accept trolls of other genres to increase their numbers. They are just like all of us. They have lives, goals, and values as well. Except they use malice to get what they want. The fact that they have spies...and you can't even trust your own people...it's a terrifying thought. Why do you think I didn't even tell my own cousin about the Perfect Mix until now?" He looked down at his vibrant hands.
Trollex swallowed a hard lump in his throat. The enemy. The enemy blending in and living among them. It is nearly impossible to tell who is who if that's the case. You could truly trust no one. Thankfully, Trollex knew who to trust...as of right now. He was sure that Lucas, Diogo, Marimba, Tambora, Tresillo, and Suki were okay, though.
However, now is not the time to think about such matters. Now is the time to figure out a way home. He will handle these matters when he is back in his kingdom. "I understand, Lukas. Sorry about that bro." He said with an expression of regret.
Lukas shook his head. "Don't worry about it. Right now, we need to make sure you get home." He said with a smile.
Trollex regained his smile at that. "Right. Right. So...where do we begin?" He tilted his head.
Lukas nodded at that. "Right. It is a long way from the main genres. So...I was thinking about sending you to-"
Diogo jumped from behind Lukas. "Dragon Hooooollooooow!" He beamed with a bright smile.
Lukas looked at his cousin with exasperation. "Sim." He agreed in a deadpan, still looking at a now bashful looking Diogo. "Where did you even come from? Is there anyone else in here before we move on?" He threw his hands up.
Tresillo stepped from behind an unsuspecting Trollex. "I'm here también, amigos." He wore a cool smile.
Lukas facepalmed.
Looking over the two other trolls, Tresillo looked over the map. "Dragon Hollow, eh? I know where that is. Me and my gang can take him. It will take a day on foot." He said with a chill nod.
Diogo blinked at that. "A day? I thought it took at least three?" He looked at his cousin for confirmation. When Lukas blinked he tilted his head.
Lukas shrugged at his cousin's gaze. "What? There are shortcuts, you know?" He said blankly.
Tresillo waved it off. "Yeah. I know a shortcut." He made his fingers resemble a pair of scissors with a smirk.
Trollex smiled, displaying his glowing yellow teeth. "That's perfect. Where is Dragon Hollow?" He looked back at the map.
Once Lukas regained his composure, he responded. "Dragon Hollow is right there. Closer to Funk Territory. You can regroup there and possibly head to Funk…" He tapped his chin.
Diogo grinned and said, "Once you cross Funk borders, you should be safe! The Chanties never hang around there!" He nodded with a few blinks.
Trollex thought for a moment. That was before he looked up at all of them. "Alright. To Dragon Hollow. First thing in the morning. I will go tell Suki to prepare herself." He levitated from his seat and was about to get said troll.
Before Trollex knew it, Tresillo was in front of him. He wore a blank expression.
Tollex blinked at the other troll.
The reggaeton troll clicked his teeth a few times. "Nuh-uh. The girls will tell her." Tresillo poked the neon troll on the chest.
Trollex blinked...before frowning. "Then...what am I supposed to do?" He looked at all of them quizzically.
Diogo walked over to the glowing troll with a smile. "You can hang with us! The guys! It's your last night, amigo. We want to spend it with you before you leave forever and never return." He placed his feathered hands on his hips.
Trollex tilted his head at that. "Never...see each other again? You guys could come and visit...right Lukas?" He looked over at the peacock troll.
Lukas blinked before he frowned. "Well...actually...no. I have to protect the headset and our civilization is kept away from the major genres for a reason. The only reason we accepted you, King Trollex, is because you were in danger." He looked down at the ground.
Trollex stared at Lukas...then he looked at Diogo. The vibrant yellow troll would usually say the complete opposite of his cousin. Instead, he looked down as well. Now, that was new.
Trollex's glowing eyes scanned the room. Afterward, he sighed. "It's alright. I understand. You want to protect your people from trolls like the psychos that kidnapped us." He grew a small smile. "I know because I want to protect my people too. When I get back...that's exactly what I'm going to do."
Diogo and Lukas grew smiles as well. His energy was contagious.
Tresillo tilted his head in a calm manner. "So, that's a yes to guys night?" He looked at them all with humor.
"Of course it's a yes!" Diogo exclaimed with a smile. "...Is it?" He looked back at Trollex.
Trollex chuckled and nodded. "Yeah. It is. I want to make our last night the best night." He looked at each one of them and said, "Lets enjoy this moment." He looked at each of them with a glowing smile.
Lukas stood and walked over at that. "Sounds good to me." He wore a smile as well.
After that, they headed out of the conference room to have their guys night. It was the first and last of its kind.
…..
Poppy has made absolutely no progress in her search and it was driving her insane. Suki was still nowhere to be found.
Branch told her that it would take more than a day to find someone that ran away days in advance...but it still hurt. Poppy was currently sitting in her large pod. She was at her desk reading over the mail she had gotten from all of the other leaders of the troll kingdom.
Like Poppy always has done, she tried to look at the bright side of things. She believed her friend was alive. She believed her friend was well. She never dwelled on the worst. However, she has learned over time that the worst does indeed exist. No matter how optimistic she is, bad things do happen to good and bad people. She was hoping this was not Suki's case.
But things have not been the same. It has been at least a couple days since they noticed Suki's disappearance. Since that day, things have been a lot more dull. They have been more dreery. More sluggish. Also more paranoid since Poppy made the whole, "Stay calm. Pirates!" announcement.
That reminded her, Branch said he was going to teach her about public speaking...
Poppy is also harboring a lot of guilt. She blames herself for Suki's unannounced departure and would do anything to reverse the past. She has already asked everyone she knew. Still, time machines have yet to exist. Darn.
One other matter, Poppy doesn't understand. How did Suki travel so far in such a short period of time? Poppy loved her, she really did, but Suki was not the sharpest tool in the shed. So...how was this possible!? How come they haven't found her yet?!
"Maybe those pirates got to her…" Poppy vigorously shook her head. "No, Poppy. Don't think like that…" She deeply frowned.
Now, the pirates were another thing. They were nowhere in sight. Poppy thought the other trolls saw them around! Why can't they find those illusive trolls now? What were they hiding?
Poppy just couldn't believe that there were trolls that liked to hurt others. She, herself, wouldn't dare put her hands on another with malicious intent. She couldn't even imagine it. But these trolls do it for fun. Essence had told her that these trolls are violent. Violent, as in real fighting, they do that! Poppy and the pop trolls; they don't do that.
The pop trolls wouldn't stand a chance against the Chanties. Thank goodness there were none in Pop Village. That gave Poppy the slightest bit of relief. Well deserved relief in Poppy's opinion. She's barely been able to take a break all day!
Poppy groaned to herself. She pulled out another letter concerning the current issues that were present. After skimming over the first few sentences, she already felt some anxiety coming on.
She read another letter. A letter from the Country trolls saying that they haven't spotted the pirates. They also haven't spotted Suki either. "She's okay. Wherever she is...she's doing fine.
Poppy glanced at her friend's colorful, fuzzy headset resting on her desk. "She's fine. Why did you leave..?" She frowned deeply at that. "It's because you weren't happy here. That was it. As your queen...and as your friend...I should have made sure you were happy. This is my fault." She picked up the headset. "When we get you back, we-no-I will make sure you feel welcome."
With that, Poppy smiled to herself. To prepare for Suki's return, she'll plan a return party! A party that's going to be all for her and going to show her how much she's been missed. Then there will be no way she'll feel left out!
Poppy grinned to herself and stood up, tossing the depressing letters aside. "Poppy, you're a genius." She giggled, placing the headphones down. "This is for you." She said to the headphones before she ran out of her office.
…..
"Alright, Blue." The pirate told herself. "You've got this. All you have to do is make it convincing."
Blue was currently going through her clothes and accessories. She was trying to find something that didn't scream 'pirate' at the top of its lungs. Why, you may ask? Well...today was the day she was supposed to be meeting Prince D. They were supposed to be meeting at the pond and Blue wasn't stupid. Actually, she was quite the opposite.
With that being said, she knew what a date was. Unfortunately, this was it. She had a date with the Prince of Funk. Most trolls envy her for this 'opportunity'. A chance to get to know the Prince on a personal, even romantic level. Most trolls would kill to be in her shoes. Truth be told, Blue would much rather let one of said other trolls in her shoes.
Her current lifestyle speaks for itself. She has grown numb over the years. She can break into anything. She can break out of anything. She steals. She lies. She's manipulative. Not to mention, even she admits that she has anger management issues.
She is the worst possible troll to date. Yet, here she is. Struggling through her wardrobe, trying to find clothes.
The pirate tilts her head once she finds a deep purple blouse with silver pearl buttons. She adjusted the collar a bit before turning it around. This shirt might actually be a contender. She never wore this blouse for some reason, but It's not too dark in color. A pirate can wear it, but it doesn't scream pirate. With the right accessories, it could just be a classy outfit.
That was good enough for Blue. She sat the blouse aside.
"Now…" She started as she began to look through the other part of her wardrobe. "What to go with the blouse? I'm going for classy. No, that's obviously pirate. No. No. No. Ah." She said, pulling out a black to purple ombre skirt that was...a bit short on her opinion, but it will do. "I'll wear tights under it." She said with a shrug.
She pulled out a pair of black tights.
Now, she tapped her chin. She never left without her familiar boots, but now that she has her outfit all together, something was clearly missing.
Blue snapped her fuzzy fingers as an idea came to mind. She took her outfit into the bathroom and laid them inside of her bathtub. With a halved eyed expression, she ran the glittery water over her clothes until they were submerged in it. As if it was tie-dye, when she took the clothes out of the water, they were now covered in swirling glittery patterns. It reminded blue of a galaxy once she put all of her wet sparkling articles of clothing together.
She made sure to pop her outfit in her dryer while she attended to other things. One of those things being jewelry. She made sure that the jewelry she chose was blue. Why is that? If she wanted to sell this and get a lovesick prince to get her whatever she wanted, she had to look attractive. She settled on her usual necklace, blue stud earrings, and a couple of silver bangles on each arm.
Blue knew that she was indeed attractive. Many trolls told her that in her lifetime. Thankfully, she knew the right spots to touch up her face with glitter. She made herself smell nice after a shower and a wash of her ample hair. She made sure her eyelashes were on point with black shadowy as eyeshadow. Moisturized her already red and visible lips. The young captain even had time to fix her hair back up and curl the pink sparkling tips right after.
By the time her clothes had dried, she threw them on and gave herself a once over. She hummed in approval of her new look. "This will do nicely, but I see why I don't do this often," she said, referring to all of the time she spent getting ready. "Anyway, I'm ready." She said with a smirk as she went over and grabbed her chrome silver board while her black and pink one was being tweaked.
She peaked at the clock on her wall for a moment. The time read six forty-five. Blue nodded to herself before grabbing her magnetic shoe clips.
"He better be there on time." She grumbled before heading out.
…
Prince D was at the puddle waiting patiently. How long had he been here? He had been running back and forth for two hours to be exact.
Earlier, he had woken up early with plans in mind. His parents were pretty confused at this since D or Cooper never really woke up early. D himself had been quite surprised as well, but he couldn't help himself. He was pretty excited, to be honest. He went through his morning routine slowly and with care. Afterward, he made sure he didn't get the slightest stain on his fur.
He had even talked his way out of attending another meeting just to have time to get prepared in advance. To be honest, by the time the meeting ended he would have still had plenty of time before he actually had to be there. However, if he had attended the meeting, he would have never had time to buy an ample sized picnic basket, get his lengthy beach towel, run by the deli to pick up his orders, run by the bakery, and...along the way, he decided to get her a little gift.
He smiled to himself at the small luxurious jewelry box in his hand. "She is going to love this."
Inside the box was a pair of silver chained raindrop earrings. They were a beautiful blue shade and looked like real water if you hold them up to the light. He chuckled to himself for a moment at the sight.
He walked over to his hoverboard to check the time. His hoverboard clock looked like any other digital alarm clock. What made him so nervous was the time. Six fifty.
Prince D took a deep breath before exhaling it steadily. "It's alright. Everything is alright." He said with a shake of his head. "Stay calm. Play it cool. Am I cool? Of course! Of course, I'm cool! I thought that she would be here by now…" He said as he began to tap his foot nervously.
Prince D looked down at himself. He looked to see if everything was intact. That was before he gasped, noticing something was missing. He ran over to the picnic basket, pulled out the blanket, set everything up, and pulled out a gold bow tie. He tied it around his neck, making sure it was snug before sighing.
"Whew...not having everything set up before the date? That would have been embarrassing." He said with a shake of his head.
"Precisely." Said a voice from above. It turned out to be the ruby troll herself, glittering and looking down at him with an unreadable expression. Her board was visibly emitting a blue glow from the bottom as if it was radioactive.
"Oh...heh…" Prince D chuckled nervously. He scratched the back of his head. "You saw that."
Blue only shrugged at that. "Not like it matters." She said, tapping her foot on her chrome board, urging it to hover closer to the ground. "A picnic?" She said, putting her board in sleep mode.
While her board hovered onto the ground, He nodded with a smile. "Yeah. I thought it would be pretty good with the whole pond scenery." D chuckled at that. "Oh, uh...take a seat." He gestured to the large beach towel.
Blue blinked as she looked over everything. Eventually, she stepped off of her board, not caring to remove her magnetic outsoles before cross sitting on it.
By the way their conversations had gone in Vibe City, Prince D assumed that she would be quiet during their outing. It didn't bother the prince any. He already knew that he'd be doing most of the talking. The only problem was that he didn't expect her to come looking so...well dressed. He expected something like their first meeting. Adventurous and daring...not this. Of course, he wasn't complaining. She looked stunning in her style. In the darkening light, she looked amazing. The moonlight perfectly reflecting off of her sapphire eyes and matching jewelry...
Prince D found himself staring at the distracted pirate that was currently looking toward the pond in thought.
Without much thought, Prince D smiled and tried to strike up a conversation. "You look beautiful." He said, his tone sounding innocent.
Blue snapped out of her reverie and turned her eyes toward him. "Umm...thanks." She said awkwardly. "It was a lot of work." she said casually with a head tilt.
Prince D smiled wider at that. "You put in all of that work for me?" He placed a fuzzy blue hand on his chest.
Blue looked at him in exasperation before remembering that she had to play along with this nonsense. "I-uh...yeah. I wanted to...impress you…" It nearly killed her, but she finally got it out. She threw on a smile while his smile somehow grew larger. "How did I get myself into this?"
Prince D, the grinning prince, nodded at that before saying, "You know, you didn't have to do that, but I appreciate the effort."
Blue looked over him with a blank expression. "Well, it wouldn't be fair for only one of us to dress up." She said, pointing to his bowtie.
He laughed at that before saying. "Okay, fair point. You win that round." The prince shook his head.
Blue looked at him in amusement before replying, "I'll make sure I'll win every round." She leaned on her arm for support.
The prince shook his head at her before he began to meddle with the basket. He took out an array of sandwich supplies that he had packed in there from the deli. He had also taken out the small shortcake he had gotten from the bakery. He also had a few fruits in there with cold sodas and utensils.
"I was thinking we could make our own sandwiches, have a side of berries, then split the cake for dessert." He said as he had gotten everything out. He had even packed a cutting board for things such as the cheese and tomatoes.
Blue blinked in surprise. "You really thought of everything, didn't you?" She said, reaching in the basket to pull out the condiments and napkins.
D nodded before saying, "No cap. I wanted everything to be perfect." He said with a smile. He looked up at her and said, "Do you want me to make yours, or did you plan on making your own?" He looked up at her with a head tilt.
Blue blinked, still pretty surprised. "I think I'll handle mine." She said, picking up the sub bread.
D began to bring the condiments out of the picnic basket. "Are you sure?" He asked her with a kind smile.
Blue nodded at that. "Yeah. I can manage." She said, reaching for her sword. That's when she realized she had left it back in the boat. She rolled her eyes at that before searching the picnic basket for a knife.
She blindly dug around in the basket in search for a knife. It was already hard to see since the only light was the moonlit sky. Now Blue had to try and make sense of things. After a minute she found the knife...of sorts…
"Ow!" Blue exclaimed, yanking her hand out of the basket to look over her hand.
The ruby troll glanced over her hand before sighing. There was a visible scratch on the tip of her ring finger. It was hard to see, but it seemed to be pretty deep. "Stupid knife. How can I handle a sword on the daily, but bested by a simple cutting knife?" Blue shook her head, expecting the cut to bleed soon.
Prince D looked over at the sound of the injury. "Are you alright?" He asked, truly concerned for the other troll.
Blue's sapphire eyes glanced up at him...before she nodded. "I'm fine." She closed her fist, covering up the small wound that was beginning to drip sparkling liquid.
Prince D, being the kind of troll he was, completely ignored Blue. He dug through the basket and placed the knife on the blanket. That way they could see it better and avoid more injuries. After that, he went into the basket to get a napkin. He pulled that out along with an alcohol wipe.
Thankfully, D was not hemophobic, feared blood, like most of the other trolls. This was not his first showdown with a cut. In his opinion, this was minor. When he was new to hoverboarding, he used to hurt himself all of the time. Some of those injuries were much larger than this. Long story short, this was a piece of cake.
Blue all but glared at him when he sat right next to her. However, D did not seem to be focused on her glare at all. "I said I was fine." She said more stern this time.
D, however, grabbed her injured hand.
Now, she was extremely irritated. Apparently this troll didn't know what 'no' ment. Apparently he didn't know how to take orders. It kind of makes sense when you take into consideration that he is a prince...
Blue's glare shot daggers at him. He was still not listening to her. She yanked her hand away. Well, tried to yank her hand away.
Prince D was currently examining her hand. When she tried to pull away, D noticed this. He gave her hand a quick tap and said, "Stop it." Then went back to work as if nothing happened.
Blue stared at the troll, mouth agape, in complete shock. Did he just…tell her to stop it as if she was a child!? The action didn't feel harsh or playful. It felt like a disciplinary action a parent would give to a mildly hyper child. It completely froze her and shut her up. Blue hated it. She inwardly seethed.
The ruby troll didn't realize it, but D was already finished. He had cleaned her wound, wrapped a napkin around it, and secured it with one of his own golden rings from his dreads. "There you go. You're all patched up." He looked back up at her and said, "Be careful with that. It's pure gold. Consider it a gift." He said, referring to the golden ring around her finger.
Blue snapped out of her reverie to look down at the ring. Her eyes halved as she looked it over. Honestly, she was still holding herself back from that last statement. "Keep it together. You need him, remember? Play it cool then get whatever you need for the plan...no matter how aggravating he is." Blue took a deep breath before exhaling.
"You know," Prince D began as he observed her finger. "On that finger- it looks like a wedding ring." He said, growing a smirk.
That's when the pirate in disguise visibly twitched. "You need him...you need him...you need him…" She mentally repeated to herself.
Blue glared a hole through him.
D chuckled before waving his blue hands in the air. "I'm just kidding! I'm just kidding." He shook his head, still laughing a bit.
She calmed herself while his laughter died down.
Prince D grabbed hold of the knife then said, "I think I have to make your sandwich now." He began to work on their sandwiches. "Your finger could use a break. Don't worry. I'll take care of it." He said while he continued to work.
He wore a smirk that was driving her crazy. More and more he was making her feel helpless. She didn't need his help! It wasn't like she had cut her finger off. It was just a little prick! That was all! She didn't want him babying her!
Blue shook her head. "No...I've got it." She reached to grab for the mayonnaise. The young troll was still trying to contain her anger.
The prince clearly disagreed with her. "You've gotten hurt. I've got it." D reached for the mayonnaise.
Blue glared at him, tugging on the condiment. "I said I was fine. Do you speak English? I am fine!" She pulled even harder with gritted teeth.
"I just...want to help you-" The prince began before the other interrupted.
"Help!? I don't need your help!" Blue seethed, tugging on the jar the hardest she could.
D returned the action. Of course, since D is a male and a larger troll in general, he lifted Blue off of her feet. The ruby troll gasped when she lost her footing and was flung toward the prince. Prince D blinked when he saw the other troll flying toward him. They both rolled like a ball off of the picnic blanket.
They didn't stop rolling until they lost momentum. The result of that left them both injured and dazed, one on top of the other. Now they were both in a groaning heap.
Prince D, his eyes closed, groaned a bit and rolled over onto his stomach. That left Blue on the bottom. At the moment, Blue didn't even notice. She was too busy holding her pained head with a displeased expression.
Blue rubbed her head with a wince. "I think I hit my head on something…" Her eyes fluttered open as her vision tried to settle.
D raised his head up a bit as he tried to stabilize his vision as well. "It might have been that rock...or the flying jar of mayonnaise." He blinked a few times...before he froze.
Blue sighed as she rubbed her head. "Probably the mayo...what?" She looked up at the stunned hip-hop troll with a inquisitive expression.
As she stared at him a bit longer, she understood why he froze. D was on top, she was under him. This was, for a lack of better words, a rather intimate position.
Her first instinct was to scramble away...but scramble where? Prince D unintentionally had her pinned since his arms, legs, and even his head blocked all of her exits. Even worse. He was looking directly into her deep blue eyes. It's been a good while since someone has even dared to look her in the eye. No one but her long lost parents dared.
Long story short, the ruby troll couldn't stop herself from returning his stare. Her mind was racing. "Why is he staring at me like that? What is he looking for? Is he going to try to make a move? Why isn't he moving? Why aren't I moving?! Why can't I move!?" She kept telling herself to move, but her body did not react.
She was absent mindedly focus on small details. Details such as the way the breeze caused his pink fur to dance on his body. The feeling of his body weight on her own body. How warm he was.
She didn't notice this, but he felt it too. Prince D stared deeply into the eyes of the troll under him. "How is it possible to feel so strongly for someone you just met?" He asked himself this, noticing her glistening gem peeking out from below her hair.
Sure D has dated other trolls before, but this...this was new. He had never felt feelings so strong for someone he barely shared 24 hours with. He told Cooper that he would be careful, but it proved to be hard in this situation right now; looking the ruby troll in her dazzling eyes. This is why he was surprised when he felt himself lowering his head down to her level. He had lost himself.
Blue's eyes gradually widened significantly at the increasing change in proximity. If she thought she couldn't move before...she felt like her body was glued to the spot! Her thoughts sped up. So did her emotions. She couldn't utter a word.
However, D noticed what he was doing. He foresaw where this was going, and he didn't want that to happen. That resulted in him snapping out of his thoughts and scrambling off of Blue. His breathing was sped up just like his pulsating purple heart. "S-sorry. I have no idea what...I'm sorry. Let me help you up." He extended his hand to her. "Stupid! D! This is the first date! What are you doing?! This is not the time to get curious!" He looked at the other troll in a shamed manner.
Blue, in her dazed state, accepted his gesture and allowed him to help her stand. Her head, her finger, and her anger, forgotten, she absentmindedly touched her chest where her heart was beating like crazy. Thankfully, it was starting to calm down. She gathered herself for a moment before looking back up at him. However, her eyes did not meet his.
The prince had a similar reaction. He didn't want to meet her eyes either. Not after that. Her eyes are dangerous.
D scratched his head in a nervous manner. He opened his mouth to apologize once more, but Blue stopped him. The Funk troll seemed very surprised at this action. His wide eyes told that story.
Blue merely sighed as she looked at the royal. "Just make the sandwiches." She told him with a shake of her head. After that, she made her way back to the blanket as if nothing ever happened.
The prince blinked in surprise at that. Prince D merely stood there; looking at the girl in disbelief.
Blue tilted her head with a deadpan. "Do you want me to change my mind?" She folded her arms and tilted her head the other way.
Prince D blankly shook his head. "She still wants to..? Why...I thought she would...leave…" He continued to stare as if this was a dream.
The captain merely shook her head in mild amusement. "Then, get over here before I change my mind." She waved him over with a halved eyed gaze.
He slowly grew a smile and made his way over to sit as well. Thankfully, the rest of the date went according to plan.
