Tape – Check

Scissors – Check.

Kai's Present – Check.

Wrapping Paper – Check.

The mission was set to go.

But Tyson forgot about one thing – The injury in his wrist tendons.

A shock of pain pulsed through Tyson's wrists and the gift that was once in his hands shot down onto the ground. It almost shattered the champion when the crunching sound echoed within his eardrums.

"For fuck sake!" Tyson groaned aloud and clenched his fists to bounce them off the breakfast bar. "Urgh! Why!?"

He then shrieked aloud as his wrists and hands began to seize up. The movement in his stiff hands were limited and this only frustrated him even more, especially as Tyson had nobody to blame but himself. He'd been ignoring all the advice given to him – 'train to the schedule or you'll over-do it.'

But did he listen? Pft, no. That boy went overboard thinking he was invincible.

However, the consequence of his actions had just hit him harder than ever. Not only had he smashed Kai's present, but he'd caused such a scene that Kai had abandoned his work office to see what his boyfriend was having a fit about.

Tyson's cover was blown. Not only was Kai about to see his present, but he was about to receive a lecture.

"The Doctor told you to rest."

"I did rest!" Tyson fired back and turned on his heel to face his boyfriend, whom was leaning against the doorway with his hands dug deep into his jean pockets. "For about an hour. Look, I was trying to do something nice for you. I was going to rest afterwards."

The Dranzer wielder rolled his eyes and then lowered his crimson orbs to the ground to see the branded cracked watch. "You're an idiot." Kai shook his head and closed his eyes to drown out the sound of Tyson's tantrum.

Red in the face with his body tensing up – Tyson was ready to charge like a bull.

"I'm an idiot!? Why you ungrateful prick-"

"You shouldn't have brought me a present." Kai cut him short to spare Tyson the regret. "I don't want anything."

Caught off-guard by the sudden change of tone, Tyson acknowledged the new sincere glance on Kai's face as he opened his eyes and focused again. He froze as Kai approached him and bent down to pick up the watch.

"I want you to open something on Christmas Eve. After all, it's considered to be the most romantic day of the year- Wow that was cheesy, even for me." Tyson mumbled with a heavy heart. "Anyway, I'll just go and get you something else. It's not the end of the world."

"You're right. It's not the end of the world." Kai studied the item for a moment. A smirk then creased in the corners of his mouth. "Tyson, I didn't like it anyway."

"Kai!" Tyson's jaw flew towards the floor. "You're a spoilt brat."

A small chuckle fluttered from Kai's mouth and he placed it down onto the breakfast bar. "Just give me a re-match, then I'll be happy." He winked and then leaned forwards to gently place his lips onto Tyson's toned cheek.

Even though that watch had cost Tyson an arm and a leg, he just shrugged it all off and rolled his eyes at the sourpuss. "Fine. Just don't expect me to go easy on you. Christmas present or not, you're still my rival." He cracked a smile at Kai.

Kai then wrapped his hands around Tyson's sore wrists, massaging them with his thumbs. He could sense the tenderness around the area, but this didn't put Kai off. He kept going until Tyson stopped squinting uncomfortably.

"But you can't do that unless you rest. So do us both a favour and do as your told, for once." Kai ordered, "Is that too much to ask of you?"

Tyson huffed, "Pft, fine."

"Good." Kai concluded, having the last word. "I have a meeting via zoom in 5 minutes, so try not to have another meltdown."

Even though Kai was being 'playful,' Tyson lightened up and chose to remind Kai about the time of year.

"Merry Christmas to you too, Kai." Tyson's smile bloomed and he shot his boyfriend a cheeky wink. "Well, if you didn't like the watch. I can just wrap myself up and put myself under the tree."

A/N: I was struggling to wrap my fathers xmas presents and my body is so exhausted from stress that it's packing up. For the first time in my life, I've had to take orders and slow down because I am so close to having a heart attack. Next year, I am ready to change my life completely. Anyhow! I hope you all have a fabulous Christmas and take care of yourselves - Granger~
