Part 8: Training with energy

Raymond woke up the next morning before Carol. She was resting on her side with her head on the pillow. Raymond smiled before getting out of bed and changing into the Dalis t shirt he had bought on the mainland and black shorts with blue stripes on them. He went down to the kitchen turning on the oven and began to cook breakfast.

After putting the food on two plates and pouring two glasses of Juice, he took out a big tray that he had found in one of the cabinets and headed upstairs. He opened the bedroom door in time to see Carol stretching. When she put her arms down she smiled, "Well this is a nice surprise," she said as Raymond placed the tray in front of her.

"Well I thought I would surprise you and I knew you wouldn't be up for a while since we were out late last night," said Raymond as he grabbed a fork and took a bite from the food on his plate.

"Yeah that was fun," she said as she took a bite as well. While they were eating Raymonds wrist device that was resting on the table next to his side of the bed beeped. He put the device on his left wrist and seeing it was communication request, "Its Talos," he said looking at Carol.

"Answer it, it might be important," she said looking serious as she moved closer to him. Raymond pressed a button on the device and a holo screen of Talos on a ships bridge appeared.

"Hi you two, just checking in," Talos said waving as he smiled at them.

"Is everything alright?" Carol asked.

"No everything's fine, you've been gone for almost a week and we wanted to check up on you," he said calmly.

"We're alright, the planet were staying has its own government," Raymond said.

"Though we had a bit of trouble after our faces were on the news," Carol said looking annoyed before smiling, "But luckily the chairman helped us out and we even got do some flying yesterday,".

"Wait where are you staying anyway?" Talos asked looking confused. Carol smiled before pointing moving Raymonds left arm and pointing the screeen at his t shirt, "Your staying on Dalis," he said looking surprised.

"Yeah and we had enough credits to get our own island," said Raymond smiling as Carol rested her head on his shoulder.

"Looks like you two are enjoying your break, should we prepare for a new arrival for when you get back," Talos said smiling while Raymond and Carol look surprised.

"No its fine, I think we have soemthings to take care of before we even think of having children," said Carol smiling nervously and Raymond nodded in agreement.

"Its okay I understand, will you be coming back soon?" Talos asked.

"We have today and tomorrow left, will be flying back after then," said Raymond.

"Alright stay safe, from what I hear Dalis has other races staying all the time and I don't think the kree would care that they would have go throguh security to reach you two," Talos said.

"Got it, stay safe," said Carol as Raymond turned off his wrist device. After finishing breakfast Raymond brought the dishes and tray back downstairs. While he was washing he heard footsteps from the stairs and looked surprised to see Carol dressed in her red swimsuit while holding his blue swimming shorts.

"Meet me by the waterfall," she said tossing him the shorts before walking out to the garden. Raymond finished washing and went upstairs to change into his shorts before heading to the waterfall.

"You want to have another relaxing day on the island?" Raymond asked.

"No I want to get some training done," Carol said holding up her right fist that was glowing, before sending a balst of energy into the sky, "Remember the last time we did training like this and I fired two blasts at once?" She asked.

"So you want to find a way to send out two blasts of energy without falling back?" He asked and she nodded her head. Raymonds body glowed blue as he stood next to her, "First focus your energy into your arms and keep your feet steady on the ground," he said before standing still and blasting two beams of energy into the sky.

"Right," she said before standing still and sending out two blasts of energy that almost made her fall over before Raymond caught her with his right arm, "I can do this," she said looking determined before firing again.

Raymond decided to do his own training by firing two blasts of energy from both of his fists and then firing both at once. Carol did the same and smiled when she didn't fall over. They then flew around the island to get faster at flying and then when they landed in front of the house they decided to go for a run before taking off again.

Raymond then set up targets in the sky so they could practice flying and shooting. After a few hours of flying and shooting practice they landed in front of the house with Carol opening the door, "I could go for a bath right now, want to join me," she said smiling at Raymond who looked surprised before nodding.

The two of them headed to bathroom and got in the bath. Raymond was sitting agaisnt the tub with Carol sititng in front of him as she rested agaisnt his chest. They then washed each other's backs with Carol going last. She then stood up and held out her hand to Raymond.

"You know there is still a while before dinner," she said smiling.

"Yeah I guess there is," said Raymond before standing up and kissing Carol who kissed back as she wrapped her arms around his neck. A while later the two of them were lying naked on the bed with a towel under them. They then chanegd into their sleepwear since they wouldn't be going to the mainland for the rest of the day.

"Looks like were on tv," Carol saids from the couch in the living room while Raymond was cooking in the kitchen. Raymond looked on the screen to see footage of the race from yesterday and he could see him saving the ship.

"Yeah that was close," Raymond said as Carol got up from the couch and put the plates on the table.

While they were eating, "I think we should go to the mainland for our last day," Carol said as Raymond took a drink.

"Yeah and maybe we should get some souvenirs for Talos and the others," he said remembering the call from earlier.

"Yeah I saw some stuffed fish in some of the stores, I think his daughter would like one of them," Carol said before looking out the window as the sun began to set, "Maybe we can come back here someday, after the museum gets changed," she said.

"Yeah, I was thinking of sending some of the information to that professor we met after we deal with the kree," said Raymond, "I want the world to know like our future kid that the Celestials were hero's,".

Carol held his hand on the table, "I want that too," she said smiling at him, "Luckily both of us can teach him or her to fly," she said as the two continued to enjoy dinner. After cleaning up the two of them went to the bedroom and when Raymond closed the door Carol kissed him on the lips until they reached the bed.

Raymond sat down on the bed as Carol stood in front of him, "Better enjoy the time we have left here," she said smiling as she took off her top. Raymond then took off his shirt before Carol kissed him and the two of them fell back on the bed laughing.

Raymond then lyed on top of her, "Hey Raymond," she said smiling.

"Is everything okay?" He asked looking worried. She shook her head no as she placed a hand on his cheek.

"I know the time on this planet hasn't been all that great, but the good times I really enjoyed," she said.

Raymond smiled as he placed a hand on her cheek, "Yeah it really has been a good honeymoon," he said.

"The best," she said , "Now shouldn't we be enjoying the time we have left beofre our last day tomorrow," she said smiling.

"Yeah your right," he said before the two of them kissed. Then their shorts and underwear came off as well. A while later with the sheets barley covering them, Raymond was asleep with his arm around Carols waist. Carol had her head resting on her husbands chest and her hand as well. The two of them smiling, evening knowing tomorrow was the last day of their honeymoon.
