The shore of Pantala was more like a cliff. Which was awful since Darkstaljer had been flying for the past three days non stop just trying to find this continent. His wings ached, he was thirsty, he was hungry, his head hurt, basically everything just hurt. He was ready to sleep for a thousand years.
When he finally got above dry landed, his wings gave out and he collapsed onto the soft soil. He was out of breath and his body was weak. He didn't have the strength to look up and see the destruction around him.
His eyes slowly started to focus as he pushed himself up. What he saw was not what he was expecting.
Trees were ripped from the ground and thrown across the now empty space. What remained of houses were not piles of twigs and leaves. Dirt was pulled out of the ground by fallen trees. And if you looked close enough, you could see the scales of a few dragons that weren't able to make it out of the way in time.
Darkstalker shivered at the sight. He slowly started to crawl across the destruction, making sure he didn't crawl across any bodies. He didn't want to be there, but he couldn't go back. It was too late for that now. He had to face his future.
He walked for hours, even though his body highly rejected the idea. He managed to catch a few lizards and a bird that was stuck under some branches, but it wasn't enough to fill him. He drank from a small pond which quenched his thirst and helped his migraine a bit. All he had to do now was sleep, which he didn't plan on doing until he found civilization.
As the sun started to go down, small huts seemed to come into view. He didn't have much time to process them before his legs gave out and he collapsed to the floor. He shivered, weak from the long flight and the world spun around him, he heard voices and talons steps running towards him. Faint green and yellow and blue figures stood above him, barking orders and painting at something. But one in particular caught his eye. Bright green eyes were the last things he saw before passing out.
Hey! I'm back! What has it been? Five months? Ha... ha... ha... I am so sorry. I lost motivation for a while then I read some of your comments and my motivation went from zero to eight in a matter of seconds. I apologies and I hope I update often again!
