Life killers chapter 11: Lure of malice
Rose Quartz woke up in some sort of cell that she never seen used on ships before, she looked out the window and saw the others in cells just like hers.
Rose Quartz: Pearl? Garnet? Bismuth?
Unknown to her they couldn't hear her because their cells prevent any noise from exiting.
Rose then had and Idea. She cracked her own gem and used some of the shards to make a few letters. She put the letters on the glass of her cell window with the message saying *Is everyone ok*. The gems did respond but she couldn't hear them but their lips said yes. She then spelled out the message saying *Peridot do you know how to get out of this?*. Peridot shoke her head but then she saw a control panel so she used her telekinesis to levitate a metal panel to deactivate the doors.
Amethyst: Finally I'm o-
Droid announcer: Prisoners 1-7 have been released.
Pearl: Great! They're on to us now!
Rose Quartz: this way!
They were in luck because after they rounded a corner they saw a squad of droids enter the prison area. After that they decided to try and find a way out. As they were walking they noticed that Antimatter's ship looked very ancient Egyptian like with many Egyptian like structures and art decorating the ship.
Peridot: Heh it was said Antimatter craved art.
Amethyst: Really? This place looks like an ancient Egyptian palace not a gem ship!
Peridot: He studied earth and believed the ancient Egyptians were the most civilized and beautiful ancient society along with ancient Greece and ancient Rome so he customized his ship to look very ancient Egyptian like as to honor his definition of earth's greatest society.
Bismuth: We are not here for a history lesson.
Peridot: It is just odd to me because why would a beast like him enjoy art let alone crystal gem art.
Garnet: He collects crystal gem art?
Peridot: It was said that he enjoys every kind of art as long as it's within his taste.
Pearl: This isn't need to know stuff.
Peridot: I just tried to answer Garnet's question.
They then heard noise and hid behind one of the statues and saw two inquisitor droids.
Droid soldier: Query-did you hear something here?
Droid soldier: Commentary-No I didn't you should receive maintenance.
The two droids exited the hallway
Pearl: Coast is clear.
*Bridge*
Antimatter in his robot suit looked over the earth. He wanted to see more of the planet before it was time to leave. He was also saddened at the fact that ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece fell and the civilizations that took their place are both inelegant as a whole and their art repulsive. They couldn't hold a candle to the Egyptians, Romans and Greeks. How could such fine civilizations turn into these repugnant insects. But that had to wait because right now he had missing prisoners.
Antimatter: Have the prisoners been found?
Droid crewman: No.
Antimatter: The gems are on this ship and we can't allow them to escape.
Steven entered the bridge followed by two droids.
Antimatter: You guys are going to search the entire ship for those prisoners and report back to me.
Malice Diamond: Very well then.
Steven was actually responsible for them breaking out due to him ordering the prison block to be unguarded because he wanted to confront the gems and shatter them. Little did he know Antimatter knew this.
Droid soldier: Acknowledgement-As you wish Antimatter.
Droid solider: Acknowledgment-Yes sir.
*With the crystal gems*
Pearl: OK we are evading the droids lets hope inquisitors don't come after us.
Peridot: Antimatter actually doesn't have any inquisitors stationed on his ship because he prefers to have a droid crew.
Garnet: That's a relief.
The gems entered a hall like room and found Steven with his sword out.
Malice Diamond: I finally have all of you where I want you and now you will die here.
Pearl: Traitor.
Malice Diamond: You forget that you all betrayed me many times in my life yet when I betray you it's now a bad thing.
Garnet: We only wanted what was best for you Steven we weren't prepared to train someone with your capabilities.
Malice Diamond: Another lie? I can read you're mind and you really were just afraid of me. You holding me back led to this confrontation. I learned in minutes what you would never have taught me in years.
Amethyst: Look Steven your mo-
Malice Diamond: She created me to hide from the mistakes she made and she was here the whole time in my gem but she was too scared to come out and help me when I needed it.
Pearl: UNGRATFUL CHILD I WI-
Steven shot a torrent of blue lightning at Pearl.
Malice Diamond: You will do nothing but kneel before your diamond!
Pearl got up and attempted to attack Steven but he just dodged all of her attacks and fired another torrent of lightning knocking her backwards.
Rose Quartz: Steven please I don't want to fight you.
Malice Diamond: Your Pearl gave a message saying otherwise.
Rose Quartz: Try not to severely hurt him.
Amethyst charged at Steven swinging her whip but Steven caught the whip and pulled her in kicking her backwards.
Malice Diamond: So reckless.
Garnet tried to charge Steven.
Malice Diamond: Really Ruby? Are you really just letting sapphire push you around?
Garnet: W-what?
Malice Diamond: Ruby, Sapphire just wanted to fuse with you because she was weak and she was always jealous of your strength. Why else would such a weak gem request fusion with you? It's because she wanted a taste of your strength and wanted to get it through any means.
Garnet was beginning to come apart.
Garnet/Sapphire: N-no don't believe him Ruby, it's not true.
Malice Diamond: It is because if you think about it sapphire's are weak gems and most sapphire's in the war fused with others and their reasoning was to gain a bit of strength to make up for their lack of it. She never loved you Ruby and if she says otherwise she's lying!
Garnet came undone.
Ruby: Why did you lie to me!
Sapphire: I didn't!
Ruby: You said you lo-
They were hit with a torrent of lighting instantly poofing them.
Malice Diamond: Be careful the truth isn't always something you like!
Lapis tried to fire a blast of water.
Malice Diamond: Oh Lapis where would you be without me, remember it was I who healed your gem. I freed you.
Lapis: I haven't forgotten Steven.
Malice Diamond: Yet here you are attempting to attack me.
Lapis: I-I.
Malice Diamond: You spent so long as the malachite fusion did you not think that maybe if you didn't fuse with Jasper it would be different. Maybe I wouldn't turn.
Lapis then just stopped charging her water ball.
Malice Diamond: When I first found you I believed you strong. But you're a weakling!
He fired another torrent of lightning poofing Lapis.
Peridot: I-I won't let you manipulate me.
Malice Diamond: Heh do you not think this is below you.
Peridot: Stop talking in riddles!
Malice Diamond: We both know brains always triumphs over brawn so since you have the highest IQ of all the crystal gems you should have led the crystal gems.
Peridot materialized her arm cannon and attempted to shoot Steven.
Malice Diamond: Really? After all we've been through together don't forget we sealed the cluster.
Peridot: S-so what?
Malice Diamond: What I'm saying is that you couldn't have been here without me bubbling the cluster and maybe you should be the leader of the crystal gems.
Peridot lowered her blaster and was met with a torrent of lightning poofing her.
Bismuth: You!
Malice Diamond: Heh if it isn't the gem who attempted to shatter me and nearly succeeded.
Bismuth: I'm not listing I'm fighting you!
Malice Diamond: Then what are you waiting for. Heh heh you can't do it can you? Don't forget I freed you from Lion and now you want to shatter me?
Bismuth: Not shatter you but subdue you, can't you see you're becoming evil?
Malice Diamond: Betrayal and isolation in a madhouse will do that to you.
Bismuth: Wait why am I even talking to you?
Malice Diamond: Because you hold interest in my words.
Bismuth charged at Steven but Steven just flipped above her.
Malice Diamond: Amateurish.
Bismuth attempted to body slam Steven but he just easily slid away from the attack.
Malice Diamond: Sloppy.
Bismuth was then met a torrent of lightning poofing her.
Pearl got up.
Rose Quartz: Steve-
Pearl: You ungrateful child.
Malice Diamond: Heh says the one who wanted to shatter me ever since I came into this world. Out of all the crystal gems you were the worst of them. You were the one who lied to me the most out of all the gems. I know you hated me because I was Rose's replacement. I know that deep down I would vanish and Rose would return. You also believe me as a weak and frail child and sorry to burst your bubble but I am stronger than you know so come at me.
Pearl: I-I can't, I actually care about you.
Malice Diamond: Now you say that. But I saw into your dreams, dreams of me being shattered by your hand.
Pearl: I'm sorry for lying to you Steven but the truth is that this is hurting your mother.
Malice Diamond: Truth? THAT'S A FIRST!
Pearl: I wish I didn't lie to you if I could-
Malice Diamond: YOU CAN'T!
Steven shot another lightning burst but Pearl deflected it with her staff.
Rose Quartz: Pearl this is my fig-
Pearl: No, I made Malice Diamond it's my responsibility to turn him back into Steven.
Pearl charged at Steven but Steven dodged twice and then materialized his sword to counterattack Pearl. The blades of their weapons clashed again and again and eventually Steven threw his sword and managed to disarm pearl and then went and began to hold her by the neck.
Malice Diamond: Now Pearl time to pay for what you did to me!
Steven then realized he had no hand to kill Pearl with.
Malice Diamond: It appears I have no hand to shatter you with but that doesn't matter!
He threw pearl at rose and sent a torrent of lightning poofing pearl. He then turned his attention to his mother.
Rose Quartz: Steven I know how you feel.
Malice Diamond: DON'T PRETEND TO UNDERSTAND!
Rose Quartz: Maybe so but shattering us won't end the pain. Look at your hands. Are you that willing to shatter us.
Malice Diamond: I will reclaim my birthright! And I'll go through you if I have to.
Steven materialized his sword charged at Rose who blocked most of the strikes and she noticed tears beginning to form in Steven's eyes.
Rose Quartz: Please.
Malice Diamond: I want to be free of this pai-
At that moment all the crystal gems materialized and combined their attacks knocking Steven backwards and left him on his knees.
Malice Diamond: I *Cough* guess you won *Cough* Strike me down *Cough* Shatter me.
Pearl: We will not shatter you Steven. You are broken and we will put the pieces back.
Steven got up.
Malice Diamond: I guess you didn't know the definition of finishing a fight.
Steven turned his sword on himself and pierced his gem cracking it.
Rose Quartz: MY SON!
Pearl: NO!
Ruby: I-is there anything that can be done?
Malice Diamond: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Steven fell to the ground unconscious, using her powers Rose Quartz tried to heal Steven's cracked gem. Unfortunately it didn't work and to her horror the reason she couldn't was because she sensed that all the malice within him transformed him into a life wound like Antimatter and Corrosive.
Bismuth: Is he dead?
Rose Quartz: Worse.
Peridot: How?
Rose Quartz: He's alive but all the malice within him transformed him into a life wound.
Lapis: Like Corrosive and Antimatter?
Rose Quartz: Precisely.
Sapphire: Can we undo this?
Rose Quartz: No.
The gems looked at the boy they swore to protect now a killer of life itself like the other two male gems and they felt so much guilt. Could they have stopped this from happening? Why didn't they listen to him? Why did this happen to him of all people?
Rose Quartz: We need to get back to the surface.
Fortunately for them the room across from them was the hangar and they got to Pink Diamond shuttle and escaped.

So Steven now became a life wound and this will play a big part. Now guess if Steven will go back or remain a diamond. I do not own Steven Universe this is just a fanfic.
