(Recap)

Last time on Dragon Ball Super: Articho, after rescuing Alice and Yukari from Wendy, the young Saiyan returns them to Misaki, only to briefly meet Mikoto Misaka, the Third Ranked Level 5 known as Railgun.

Returning to the suspect responsible for nearly destroying Misaki's life, the two engaged in a one-on-one battle not long after Wendy ate a fruit belonging to the fabled Tree of Might that can only be grown back in Universe 7.

As Articho gained the upper hand and prepared to finish her off with a Spirit Bomb, Wendy's power outclassed his base form, including his Kaioken times twenty. Having to using up all the energy he needed to build the Spirit Bomb, his own life is now at the mercy of his opponent. With Arisa and the others powerless to stop Wendy from killing him, is this truly the end of our Time Patroller?

"Hahahahaha!" Wendy laughs crazily as she continues to choke hold her enemy. "Guess I now have the last laugh, don't I?!"

Suddenly, she was dropkicked in the head, sending her flying into a brick wall that created a huge hole inside.

Arisa and the other girls looked on in shock to where the dark skinned woman crashed into.

"No dishonorable bastard lays a finger on the kid." A stoic, male voice says. "The one who gets to fight Articho with honor and pride belongs to me."

The person who rescues him is a tall muscular man with black hair. His hair is unkempt with three bangs hanging to the right of his forehead and two hanging to the left. His hair also stands up in the front with five spikes and four in the back. Arguably his most distinctive trait is the long thick rough scar running down his left cheek. He also wears a dark blue and green Battle Armor, dark blue combat pants, long red armbands with matching leg warmers, and black and green boots. Attached to the armor are two green thigh guards. Unlike the shoulder guard variant, he wears a strapless model for more mobility around his arms and shoulders. He also sports a red bandana that matches the same color as the armbands and leg warmers. But in reality, it's just soaked in blood without it turning brown for whatever reason. Lastly, he sports a brown fur coated belt, but it turns out to be a real moving tail belonging to the Saiyans of Universe 7.

Chapter 10: Enter Bardock, the Father of Son Goku! Form a Super Spirit Bomb, Articho!

June 12, 2023 (Earth Calendar)

Streets of District 7

The mysterious man was gazing at where he drop kicked Wendy Katsch into before looking down at Articho by his feet.

"So after all these years, I came out of retirement just to see my best student still thinking he can best an opponent weaker than him by holding back in his base form." He says with a disapproval tone. "I expected more from you, Articho."

The man then crouches down and starts searching the boy's gi. Eventually, he found the bag of Senzus and takes out the last one.

He then forces it into the hybrid's mouth and makes his jaw chew it down, restoring his health and ki.

Articho then slowly wakes up and sees a familiar sight.

"Bardock?" He asks in shock. "Is that really you?"

"Sure is." He smirks. "It's been awhile."

"But I don't understand. When you fought against Cumber and shattered reality, I thought-"

"A lot has happened during my stay here." Bardock explains, pulling his student off the ground. "And I can tell you've also grown. Not only in height, of course. But anyway, I take it you were searching for me after that whole Universe Tree debacle."

"Well, it's a long story." He sighs.

Just then, an energy beam is fired at them. Bardock turns around and quickly deflects with his arm, sending it upwards, exploding.

"Why the hell were you holding back, Articho?" He begins lecturing the boy. "You could've easily beat her if you went all out."

"There was little point. I'm supposed to incapacitate her, not the other way around." He argues back. "I'm capable enough to win against her without going super, let alone Blue."

"Wait, did you just say you can go Blue?" His instructor questions in disbelief. "What else have I've been missing while I was gone?"

"And more importantly, how the hell are you still youthful? It should've ended after turning eighty." Articho shot back.

"Point taken." Bardock frowns before focusing on Wendy who is walking towards them. "Look, I'll see if I can get her to focus on me. You start working on that Spirit Bomb, kid."

"I thought you like working alone."

"I had a team back in the day, remember?" The veteran Saiyan raises an eyebrow at the boy's dumb statement.

"That makes sense." The Time Patroller facepalms at himself. "But how am I supposed to make another one? I've already wasted all that energy I gathered from the entire city's plant life."

"You can gather more of it from the entire planet. How can you forget that so easily?"

The boy's cheeks flushed with red in embarrassment.

"Shit." He facepalms himself. "I totally forgot about that."

"Definitely Kakarot's grandson, alright."

"You mean great-great-great grandfather." He corrects his ancestor and instructor, which annoys him.

"Don't push it." The older man told him. "I believe we should deal with this problem first."

"Right." The boy nods seriously. "I'll start once you make your move against Wendy."

"Wendy, huh?" Bardock wonders, looking at the dark skinned girl. "So that Fu character gave her this power. Of course he'd do that. Towa and Mira are dead after all."

"So, you're the one who drop kicked me." Wendy speaks up to him. "And just who the hell do you think you are, coming to ruin the moment?"

"Like you trying to kill my best pupil without any honor?" The veteran Saiyan frowns in disgust. "And it's clear you got your power from someone."

"Eh?! Again?!" She exclaims. "Just how are you able to figure that out on your own?! Have you been spying on me?!"

"No, the old man and I just recognize this dark energy." Articho casually admits. "He and I have experienced this long before you even obtained it. I mean, there was that one time he was made stronger by being brainwashed a few years back. But after a friend of mine and I freed him, he's a total badass."

"Are you seriously bringing that up again?" Bardock glares at his student and descendant, annoyed once again. "I'd prefer you keep your trap shut about my personal life."

"Yeah, yeah. Just like to make a point here, old man."

"Brainwashing, you say?" Wendy smirks with interest. "Then I suppose my Esper ability won't work on barbaric primates such as the two of you."

This offended both Saiyans.

"So she's pulling the monkey card." The Time Patroller grits his teeth in annoyance.

"She's no better than the likes of Frieza or his brother." The older Saiyan agrees, sharing the same expression as his best student.

Unbeknownst to them, the other girls find it very offensive somehow.

"Okay... What just happened?" Mikoto asked, scratching the back of her head.

"I'm not sure, Sissy, but that mysterious man looks kind of similar to Articho for some odd reason."

"Alright, it's about time you fight me." Bardock says. "Let's see if you're strong as you keep rambling on about."

Crossing his arms and letting them down, he yells as he emits a white aura.

"Wow. Guess you've been busy yourself." Articho admits in awe, sensing his instructor's power level. "But I'm glad you didn't stay retired."

"So it looks like I have to face the both of you, huh?" The dark skinned girl figured out.

"Don't get the wrong idea. He's a spectator. To be honest, I'd be quite pissed if he intervened." Bardock scoffs. "I was in the middle of enjoying a quiet life with my wife in the countryside before you started making trouble."

"Wait, you're married again?!" Articho exclaims in disbelief.

His former instructor grins at the reaction without turning around.

"Like you said, I've been busy." He jokes.

"Oh yeah, good one." The boy sarcastically says, eye rolling.

"I hope you're ready. Because I'm not going to be holding back on you just because you're a woman." The veteran Saiyan announces as he gets in his own stance. A more aggressive one, that is.

In the blink of an eye, Bardock has already punched her in the gut hard.

Wendy looks at him in shock.

He looks at her in response and grins.

The girl takes a step back, confused at what's happening.

Bardock, however, didn't give her that chance as he runs toward her and performs an upper kick to the chin. This sent her upwards as she felt the immense pain from that blow.

The girls were surprised when the Saiyan did that to her.

Bardock then flies upward and performs a flurry of punches as he spins his body around.

"Dang! Almost forgot how strong he is." The young hybrid told himself. "He sure has gotten stronger since that fight with Cumber, huh?"

The boy then gets serious and raises his hands high in the air again.

"Alright. Let's try this again." He announced, preparing to absorb the ki, all across the planet.

Meanwhile with Misaki...

"There, there, little one." The Queen told her daughter, holding the infant. "You're safe now."

Alice reaches out with her hands when the infant's body glows white, getting her mother's attention.

"What's going on?" Misaki questions.

The baby looks at the small, white glowing orbs with curiosity in her eyes and tries to reach out to them as they float away.

All around the planet, similar cases are happening.

Articho continues to gather more ki, until it begins to form above him. The more ki he gathers, the bigger it becomes.

The Spirit Bomb continues to grow in size as it is now in the stratosphere of the Earth.

"Almost there."

High above Articho, Wendy is struggling to fight back as Bardock landed each blow on her. And cupping his fists, he sledgehammers her back down onto the pavement street.

She then winced in pain, holding to her side as she sees the adult descending back down to street level.

"Are you ready to face reality yet?" Bardock asks her. "Because you're outclassed in every way, and not just by me."

The girl gasps in disbelief.

"Articho is clearly at the same level I am." He points at his pupil. "He's not as strong as me, I think, but it's safe to say that he puts you to shame. So not only you're not the strongest as you claim to be, you're not even second best."

Wendy grits her teeth in anger.

"About ready over there?" Bardock asks. "I barely got half a decent fight out of her, and her performance is disappointing."

"It's almost done." Articho answers. "Just keep her busy for a few more seconds."

"What are you on about?" She suspiciously asks. "You're still standing there doing... Whatever it is you're doing."

Articho responds with a chuckle.

"Oh, you'll find out in a couple of seconds." He told her.

Back over with the other girls, Junko suddenly felt like something big was about to happen.

"Everyone... I believe something is going to happen." She told all of her friends.

"I feel it too, for some reason." Arisa admits. "It feels familiar somehow."

"Haaaaaaaa!" Articho yells, throwing his hands down. "Get out of the way, old man!"

Bardock and Wendy looked up to see a very large Spirit Bomb coming down. And it's about the size of a skyscraper.

"It looks like time's up." Bardock smirks before moving out of the way, vanishing instantly.

The dark skinned girl's eyes were cartoonishly wide like dinner plates, seeing the Spirit Bomb.

"Uh-oh."

Not enough time to get clear of it, she flies toward it and places her hands on the Spirit Bomb in an effort to slow it down and bounce it back into orbit.

"I can stop it." Wendy grunts as she tries to push it back. "I can stop it!"

Unfortunately, it was too strong for her.

Her hands were caught inside of it, and she was being pulled inside of the giant blue ball of energy.

"No, it's too much! I can't hold it!" She panics as the Spirit Bomb engulfs her. "Damniiiiiiiittt!!!"

As the Super Spirit Bomb impacts the ground, the ball of energy detonated into a huge explosion.

Then everything went black.

Ten minutes later...

Articho opens his eyes, waking up from the shockwave that Spirit Bomb created when it exploded.

Getting on his knees, he pants from exhaustion but still has enough ki to keep going.

Looking over the large crater the attack left behind, Articho sees an unconscious and naked Wendy in the center of it. The only thing different about her this time is that her skin tone and hair color have changed. The pink hair is now platinum blonde and her dark skin is now a fair complexion.

"It's...it's over." He smiles with relief. "It's finally over."

(Break in the Battle playing...)

Just then, he felt someone patting him on the shoulder. He turns to the right to see his old mentor smiling.

"Great job, kid." Bardock compliments. "You've definitely grown since the last time we saw each other."

"What can I say? I am your number one student in your infamous boot camp." The boy jokes.

"Hey!" The veteran Saiyan lightly slaps him in the head. "My boot camp is very effective for you Time Patrollers."

Articho then chuckles lightly before it turned into laughter. His instructor joined in on it, laughing as well.

"Articho!" A familiar voice calls out to him.

Turning around, Articho sees Arisa and the others running up to them.

"Arisa." He smiles at her.

The pink haired popstar collides with him, wrapping her arms around him.

"Whoa! What're you doing?" He asked her, confused at what she was doing.

"I thought I was going to lose you." She told him, sniffling. "But I'm glad that never happened."

"Hey, it's okay. There's no need for you to cry." He assures her, giving her a hug. "It all worked out in the end, right?"

"Yeah, more or less." The teleporter answers, before looking at the person responsible for this battle in the first place. "You really did beat her, huh?"

"I think so." He nods. "If she survived that attack, it means that she's not entirely evil."

"What do you mean by that?" Mikoto asked.

"Well...the Spirit Bomb I made can harm those with a pure heart of evil." The Time Patroller sheepishly grins. "If Wendy was pure evil, she would've had zero chance of surviving it. Unless you're one tough son of a bitch."

"But she was too weak." The older man pointed out.

"Too weak?" He raises an eyebrow.

"When I fought against her, she wasn't able to control her power normally. She was just quickly wasting it."

"Is that so?" The boy wonders. "Guess I was too busy trying to incapacitate her."

"You're his relative all right."

"At least I haven't been isolated from the rest of society like Goku!" Articho snaps at him. "I have a brain when it comes to social stuff. He doesn't. All he cares about is training and fighting the strongest."

"Point taken." Bardock chuckles. "By the way, you seemed to be comfortable around that girl you're still hugging."

"Huh?" The two of them blinked their eyes before looking at each other, blushing. "Huh?!"

Everyone started laughing from this, while the ringlet girl looks away with jealousy. The two teens separate from the hug.

"W-Well... I'm still glad that you're all right, Articho." Arisa exclaimed.

"Same here, Arisa." He quickly says. "Now, if you excuse me, I've got a suspect to arre-"

(Music ends...)

But as he turns around, he only sees an empty crater.

"Wait, where'd she go?" Articho questions before sighing. "She's right behind us, isn't she?"

Right on cue, a laser beam shot through Bardock's chest from behind.

"Ahhhhh!" The veteran Saiyan collapses to the ground, fully unconscious.

"Bardock!" Articho exclaims before looking in the direction where the shot originated from.

"That...is the last time someone humiliates me." The pale skinned girl sighed, almost out of breath.

"Damn you!" He curses at her in anger. "You're going to regret that!"

"Am I?" She gloats. "Well, then. I guess I'll have to pick my next victim!"

She then fires a finger beam. But it wasn't aimed at Articho. He turns around and gasps to see that it was Arisa who took the blow as she was shot in the side. The area that was hit, is now bleeding. Arisa looks at her wound in shock before looking at Articho. She then passes out, collapsing to the ground.

(Heroic Battle/Desperate Assault playing...)

Wendy then starts chuckling, which then turned into crazed laughter.

"I think ringlet girl should go next." She smirks.

Just then, the ground starts shaking. And not just where Articho is standing at. The sky quickly turns dark all of the sudden and thunder boomed as lightning flashes.

"How dare you. I won't let you get away with that, you bitch!" He snarls in rage. "I will make you suffer!"

When he said those words his spiky hair starts floating upwards, flashing from gold blond to black.

The telepath saw this, realization she made a huge mistake.

The bolts of lightning then strike close to him, damaging the pavement.

And then, Articho snaps. He then roars in anger as he transforms with a loud sound of his golden aura.

"What the hell?!" Wendy exclaims, confused and shocked.

Articho turns around, face to face with her as a legendary Super Saiyan.

He then grits his teeth in rage, followed by pulling back his fist. Turning back at the three girls, he looks them in the eye.

"Go." He orders. "Take Bardock and Arisa with you, and go. They need medical attention, so just go."

The girls hesitate as they were too shocked to see him in his transformation.

Annoyed, Articho loses his temper.

"Do as I tell you, right now! Before I lose whatever sense of reason I have left!" He lashes out in anger.

This causes them to panic, and followed his instructions.

The Time Patroller then returns to his attention towards Wendy who is still in a state of shock.

Wendy has undoubtedly force Articho's hand as he has now transformed into a Super Saiyan. The final battle begins! Next time on Dragon Ball Super: Articho.
