Aizawa trudged up the stairs and stopped outside of the door. He took a deep breath before releasing it trying to relax, as he opened the door.

He could hear Hizashi talking from the kitchen as he walked in, following his boyfriend's voice he was met with Hizashi holding Kagome as she stirred whatever was in the pot on the stove.

The two froze and looked to Aizawa, before Hizashi grinned, "We're having Curry! Hope you're hungry!"

Aizawa looked from Hizashi to Kagome, but as soon as their eyes met, she turned away the best she could while still being held.

Hizashi placed the little girl onto the floor, and took the spoon from her, "How about you show little Kaogme where she'll be staying? The food will be done in a bit."

Kagome looked nervous but walked over to the tall man anyway. Shouta pushed off the wall that he had started to lean against before nodding for her to follow. It was quiet between them as they walked down the hall. He stopped in front of a door and opened it.

"It isn't much, and it's sort of bland, but we can go to the store tomorrow or something and get you some things..." He explained as he walked in placing the bag onto the plain-looking bed. Kagome followed in after him, and he was right the room was pretty plain and dull-looking all whites and beige.

Kagome walked to the bed and climbed up as best she could be for sitting on the bed still looking around at the sparse room.

It was quiet between them once more as Shouta didn't really know what to do...

"So, do you want to take a bath or something?" He was sure she probably already had one today considering what happened and there was no soot on her, but the smell of smoke still clung to her, and he was sure she didn't like it...

Her big blue eyes blinking up at him, "I don't have any clothes though..."

He blinked at that, "What's in the bag then?"

Kagome looked from the bag then back to him before pulling it to her and opening it. She pulled ut a few things.

One was two books that had a few burns here and there and a stuffed bear.

That was all? What was all that she had left? A frown tugged on his lips as he thought about how sad that was, and made a note to go shopping for sure tomorrow.

"Oh, what are the books?" He asked as he kneeled next to the bed, but not crowding her.

She fidgeted with the bear she pulled to herself. "One is a book of old tales that my grandfather used to read to me. The other is a photo album."

"Oh, and the bear?"

Kagome looked sad, and tears started to fill her eyes, "It was my baby brother's...Souta...I don't want to talk about this anymore..."

Shouta pushed down the panic he felt, "That's fine!" he said maybe a little too loud, and winced.

He stood again as she looked up at him tears still in her eyes, "You can borrow something of mine or Hizashi."

He walked to the door waiting for her to join him.

As he walked to his room he pointed out the bathroom on the way. Once he got to his room he flicked the light on and headed to his drawer looking for something that wouldn't completely drown the girl in fabric.

As he was looking, Kagome looked around the room it was a little odd...A mixture of darks and lights. The curtains were dark black, but the throw pillows next to its white and yellow. The floor dark wood with a push white carpet in the middle. And there on the black covered bed was lots of pillows ranging from white, and light blue.

Kagome blink when she saw a fuzzy tail twitch form near the pillows.

Shouta held out a black long-sleeved shirt that had shrunk in the wash and was now too small for him to wear. This should be fine right?

He turned to ask when he noticed that Kagome wasn't next to the door anymore. He looked around only to notice she made it onto his bed and was now petting a pudgy calico kitten.

"You like cats?" He asked as he walked to the bed.

"She looked up at him with a small smile and nodded, "Yeah, but mommy's allergic so we can't have one."

"What a travesty..." Kagome looked at him confused unsure what that word meant. "His name's Buyo...he begs for snacks, and Hizashi says not to give him any." Shout looks around before leaning in and putting a hand near his mouth as if about to tell a secret, "I give him snacks anyways...don't tell."

Shouta blinked in slight shock when Kagome let loses a few giggles and he had to hold back his own mirth. "Alright, Come one let get you washed up."

Kagome nodded and placed the kitten back onto the bed and shimmied her way down. She followed Shouta into the bathroom as she flicked on the light.

"Okay, I'll leave you to it." He said as he went to walk out the door. When a small hand stopped him tugging a little on his shirt.

"Aren't you going to help me? Momma help me take a bath...I need help with my hair..."

Shouta blinked at that, "Uhh...Hang on."

He turns from her and pulls out his phone quickly googling how old a kid can be to bathe by themself...Oh...Well...

He scratched the back of his head while turning back to her, "Umm, okay? You just need help with your hair?"

She nodded and turned to pull off her shirt.

While she was getting undress, Shouta started the bath, testing the water to make sure it wasn't too hot.

Soon Shouta was leaning against the tub as Kagome relaxed in the water.

He was starting to nod off at the soft sounds of water sloshing softly before he was startled by a wet hand on his shoulder, "I'm ready for my hair!"

He turned to see Kagome's back to him, Her hair slightly damp...

How do you do things? Did you have to do something special for a kid's hair or something?

As he pondered on what to do that door of the bathroom opened and Hizashi walked in "Oh there you are- what are you doing?"

Shouta looked at him slightly stumped, "How do wash a kid's hair?"

Hizahsi laughed at him and made him scoot over, "Alright little listen let get this pretty hair clean. Tilt your head back please."

Shouta watch as Hizashi washed Kagome's hair...It was strangely domestic...

Once Kaomge was out and dressed with Hizashi cooing over how cute Kagome looked in her oversized shirt...

They headed to the dining room for dinner.

It seems that Shouta isn't as bad as he thought he was going to be as this whole brother/father thing, lol

Also, did you know that leaving a kid unattended in a bath is technically supposed to happen at 6 years old? I didn't know that, but then again I don't have kids...

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this chapter...
