Sentinel Prime

2 humanoids sat in the stands of the gladiator arena, watching as two humans attempted to battle hells famed gladiator. One of the humanoids was watching very closely, while the other looked very uncomfortable.

The other figure noticed this and sighed, leaning back and looking at the figure. This person was in standard issue Knight Sentinel armor. However they lacked the argent spear. They took off their helmet to reveal the face of a cleanly shaven man with early gray hairs, thin blond hair, red eyes and- he wasn't a man. Upon further inspection the mans face was pale, he looked white as a ghost. In addition to that there were blood red lines running down the sides of his heads. The man was transforming into a demon.

He turned to the other humanoid and frowned.

"Your mad at me, aren't you?" He asked.

The other humanoid, now revealed to be a female chuckled.

"My father sold his soul to the Khan Makyr and turned. Himself into a demon just so he could have a chance at getting his revenge on the Doom Slayer because he was always better than him. Yes I'm fucking pissed." The half demon half human man gritted his teeth.

"It isn't about that sweetie! Look, I'm doing this to protect Argent D'nur. Plus, I only look fully demon in Hell." The man spoke to seemingly his daughter who glared at him.

"That's not true, I heard the Makyr angel, Kyn that you would transform overtime and then you would be the Marauder all the time." The man looked away from the female, who continued to glare at him.

"Listen Father, I know why your doing this, and it's not good. I know there is no convincing you to stop so I'm not even gonna fucking try. But I've been selected by the Khan Makyr to explore the anomaly. So I won't have to deal with you or your bullshit anyways." And with that, the female stood up and walked off.

It took a moment for the Marauder to really digest what his daughter had told him. He knew subjecting himself to hells will would not help him and his daughters relationship at all. He knew it would make it worse. But he still did it, and only to get revenge on the Slayer.

"Red!" The Marauder shouted shouted and, but she was already gone. The former king of Argent D'nur stood as his Daughter walked away from him.

'This was the Slayers fault.' He thought, despite knowing fully that wasn't true. He only had himself to blame.

A hand fell on his shoulder.

The Marauder turned to find Deag Nilox smiling at him.

"My friend, your daughter will be placed in the care of the Khan Makyr. I think I know why Red has been acting this way" The priest said with an unnerving smile.

"Why?" The Marauder asked.

"Let's talk about this somewhere private...I don't believe you will be happy b

The two walked through the city, making their way to large castle. The two walked throughout the castle and entered the war room.

"Why are we in the war room?" The Marauder asked.

"No one should here us, now take a seat." The Marauder sat down near the end of the long table. The priest sat across from him.

"Your daughter is only 1300 years old correct?" Nilox questioned.

"During the final century before the Khan Makyr struck a deal with hell and Argent D'nur changed forever the one now known as the Doom Slayer still resided within our ranks."

"I don't see how that relates to my daughter." The Marauder interjected.

The priest held up a hand.

"I'm getting there. During those years I did notice your daughter and the Slayer...how do I put it..." The Marauders fist slammed down on the table and he began to fill with rage.

"WHAT?!" He shouted.

"Please calm down, I don't know those details." The priest's lie was convincing enough and he calmed down, leaning back in his chair.

"Before the first demon attack in Argent D'nur I saw them talking quite frequently. However after the Slayer stopped speaking they stopped speaking." The priests words enraged the Marauder more and more.

"Do you think they ever..." The Marauder trailer off and looked at Nilox who shook his head.

"As I said earlier I don't know what went on between them. But I do know that after they began to speak to each other your Daughter began to change. She became irritable, not speaking to anyone but her superiors. I believe that ape might have brainwashed her." The Marauder stood up and balled his hands into fists.

Nilox was surprised that he broke so fast, considering most of what he told the Marauder either wasn't true or he didn't know if it was.

"How did I let this happen?" The Marauder asked, the rage leaving his body and causing him to slump back into his chair

"It wasn't your fault, your daughter has always been a very curious individual. Her reaching adulthood would peak her interest in the world. Plus, she always was fascinated by the Knight Sentinels. You can't help her anymore, but you might be able to do something about the Slayer." The Marauder stood up once again.

"I'm sending you on a mission soon. In 550 years we will be invading earth. The Slayer will be trying to stop us, I want you to kill him."

Present day

The Ruins

The trio had been waking for several hours now. In that time they had killed over a hundred demons.

A ballista round went straight through the chest of a hellknight and destroyed a mancubus's arm cannon. Using its faltered stage to his advantage, the Slayer ran towards it and blood punched it, sending it flying into Reds sword which impaled it through the back.

Pulling out her sword Red jumped to side to avoid a charging Baron. Red smiled as the Baron ran into the Slayers chainsaw instead.

Lucas was currently on the ground using his magic enhanced fists to beat a Baron of Hell senseless. After 30 seconds of punching its head was reduced to a strange orange mush.

"Fucking weird." He said to himself and turned to see the top half of a Baron fall off, curiosity of the Slayers chainsaw.

Lucas stood up and looked around. The once purple walls were covered in various types of blood. Red,blue, orange, white? The remains of demons covered the room. All three of them were covered head to toe in blood and gore.

"We almost there yet Vega?" Lucas asked.

I estimate a minimum of 25 minutes will be required on foot to reach the heart.

"Let's get moving then!" Red exclaimed and ahead of both of them. William seemed a little confused at how eager she was to get a move on, but shrugged it off and ran after her.

"Why am I always the last one..." Lucas asked him and ran to catch up with them.

Red stopped running and was now waking, examining the walls of the catacombs as she walked. William quickly strode up beside her.

Red turned to him. "I never got to tell you this... but I've always thought you look a little familiar." Red said, turning to face him.

The Slayer turned to her, his face showing no signs of recognition.

He shrugged.

Red looked straight ahead. "I probably mistook you for someone else..."

Lucas stopped running and began to walk beside Red.

Slayer, break the wall to your right. V.E.G.A said in the Slayers helmet so only he could hear.

Acknowledging the instructions, William turned to his right and threw his right his into the wall. Red and Lucas turned to see a large open hole generated from the Slayers fist. Red was about to ask when she saw what was on the other side.

On the other side of the wall was three things. One, a massive drop. Two, a large city which seemingly was abandoned. And three, a giant, beating demonic gore nest heart in the distance.

Red recognized this place as home. Yeah, the king was never good with names. The large city was one of the first monsters settlements constructed within the underground until it was abandoned once the rest of the underground was discovered.

You will not be able to destroy the heart with most of your current available weaponry. You will have to strike the heart with your crucible blade.

William turned behind him.

"What are we waiting for?" He asked and he jumped. Before Red could jump Lucas jumped in after him.

Red grinned and jumped after them.

Present Day

Castle of Torment

"You know...extracting the soul isn't going to kill her." The former Makyr Angel said as he looked down at a battered and bloodied Frisk.

"My goal isn't to kill, I just need the fucking soul." Chara hissed at the Makyr in her Baron of Hell form.

"Uh...okay." He said.

"Can you do it?"

The Makyr nodded. "Give me some time."

"How long do you need? Chara asked.

"About 16 hours."

Chara growled in annoyance and turned to Satos who was currently sitting in a corner in his human form. His human form was a confederate foot soldier and he was cleaning a musket. When a person dies and becomes a shifter their human form is whatever they were when they died. Satos seemed like just a bit around 18 years old when he was killed.

"Why do you still clean that thing, it isn't real and you can't clean it. It was dirty as fuck when you died." Chara said. Satos looked up.

"Was a routine I guess, I got used to it during the war." Satos said in a clearly southern accent.

Chara refrained from showing any emotion and spoke bluntly.

"Protect Kyn while he does his work, I have work to do." Chara ordered and made for the door but stopped and turned back to Satos who had shifted into a Hell Knight.

"Oh and make sure to inform our forces on this planet to get rid of the Barons. I've had enough of those terrorists." Chara said then walked out.

Present Day

New York

MT.Ebott

William loaded an additional two shells into his Super Shotgun and continued walking through the eerily quiet streets. Besides him, his two companions and a couple of rats wandering about they seemed to be the only ones in the city. However The Slayer didn't let his guard down and made sure to keep his shotgun level at all times. Their objective was only a few miles away and so far no demonic activity could be heard. This was odd as V.E.G.A had reported on high levels of demonic activity. Could he have been wrong?

The Slayer shook that thought out of his mind, V.E.G.A was the U.A.Cs most powerful artificial intelligence there was no way it could have made a mistake like that.

As if she could read Williams mind, Red suddenly stopped. This caused both Lucas and William to stop as well.

"Something wrong?" Lucas asked.

Red turned and nodded.

"It's far too quiet this place should be shattering our eardrums right now." Red stated what William had been thinking.

"So...what do you think they could all be doing?" Lucas curiously asked.

Red responded, "Usually Demons will stop fucking about when a demon lord is near, the higher ups don't appreciate their animalistic nature." Lucas simply stared while The Slayer stepped forward.

"How would you know that?" William asked.

"I've fought my fair share of demons. We should hurry." Red said and began to walk but William grabbed her arm.

"I've been holding off from questioning you for a while now because we've been constantly in combat." The Slayer whispered with an edge in his voice. Red squirmed under his grip and tried to pull free but he was far too strong.

"Once we are finished here you are gonna tell me everything, do you understand?" William squeezed her arm a little harder just to get his point across.

Red quickly shook her head several times.

"Y-yes..." She responded and the hulk of a man let go of her and proceeded to walk in the direction of the heart.

Lucas watched him go, confused by what had just happened before running to Reds side who was glaring at the Slayer.

"Uh, are you alright, why'd he do that?" Lucas asked. Red didn't make eye contact with him and instead glared at the former knight sentinel who was getting further and further from the two of them.

"Red!" Lucas shook her shoulder and Red looked at him.

"We should go." She said before standing up and walking, not running this time after the Slayer.

The human stood up in confusion, wondering what the Doom Slayer had said to her.

15 minutes had past and the 3 walked in silence. The Slayer focusing all his attention on the mission, Red seemed to be pissed off for some reason. But Lucas could be a small bit of worry and nervousness on her face. Lucas didn't really know what to say, still really confused on what had just happened.

The Slayer held up his hand signaling the others to stop. In the distance the sound of screaming could be heard. However it wasn't human or monster screams, it was the screams of a demon followed by the laughter of several others.

"What the fuck?" Lucas unconsciously said out loud.

"Shut up." William said and looked up. Above them was a taller building than about all the other ones they had seen. The Slayer pocketed his Super Shotgun and suddenly jumped up and grabbed onto the walls of the building and began to climb. Red quickly followed suit and Lucas sighed and used the stairs.

William clambered onto the roof and stared down on what seemed to be a city square. Several demons were standing in a circle formation, mostly heavy and super heavy demons while the fodder ones stood from behind. Some of the heavy demons were ripping apart the smaller imps and possessed for what seemed like pleasure or entertainment. Red climbed up onto the roof after him and crossed her arms at what she saw.

After a few seconds a hatch was opened on the roof and Lucas stepped up onto the roof his jaw dropping at what he saw.

"Are they waiting for something?" Lucas asked.

As the two observed William noticed the Heart was just behind a large building on the edge of the city square. The only thing between them and the heart was his horde of demons.

As William smirked thinking of how easy this would be a slipgate suddenly began to form in the middle of the circle of heavy and super heavy demons. All three of them strained their eyes to see what would exit and The Slayer was disappointed to see a Baron of Hell.

The slipgate vanished and the Baron turned around to find an opening in the circle. Upon seeing the demons eyes William knew it wasn't no ordinary Baron of Hell. It's eyes were a glowing green signifying it was a shifter.

"That's a shifter..." Lucas stated the obvious.

"Yeah and it probably is-" Red suddenly stopped speaking as the Shifter shifted into a human girl.

Red dropped her sword on the roof as she gasped.

Lucas turned giving her a confused look.

"What's wrong? He asked.

"I-it can't be...how the fuck is this happening?" Red asked herself and pointed to the shifter.

Red turned to Lucas. "That's fucking Chara the first human who ever fell into the underground!" Red exclaimed.

Lucas's eyes went wide. He had heard the stories of the human and how they had lived alongside monsters many years ago.

"How would the shifter be able to take Chara's form?" Lucas asked causing Red to shiver.

"The only fucking human or monster form a shifter can take is the form they took when they died..." Red muttered loud enough for Lucas and the Slayer to hear.

"Holy shit..." Lucas said to himself.

The Slayer was now even more suspicious of her.

"We deal with it on its own." The Slayer said and pulled out the BFMLB, the only weapon from Lucas he had kept due to Samuel getting rid of his BFG.

"What the fuck are you doing with the Big Fucking Magic Loaded Blaster?" Lucas asked but it was far too late as the weapon was already powering up.

The weapon fired a giant bright blue laser beam that when the laser connected with a target would immediately disintegrate it. That's what happened that entire circle of demons within just a matter of seconds.

The shifter brought up its hands and created and red bubble around itself which blocked fire from Williams new favorite gun.

The Slayer groaned in irritation and deposited the weapon in his infinite storage unit before pulling out his plasma gun and vaulting off the roof, firing down on the demon which had stopped using its bubble shield and with incredible speed dodged the plasma rounds. When William landed he pulled his Super Shotgun and sprinted towards the shifter who had shifted into a Baron of Hell. The Slayer fired his meathook but the shifter grabbed it and pulled the man towards it. The Slayer fired his weapon and pulled out his crucible. The shotgun pellets seemed to have little effect besides making it lose its grip on the shotgun, causing William to drop it. He dove forward and dove at the demon with his crucible. He roared in irritation as the demon moved out of the way. He swung again but the demon side stepped again. But this time The Slayer lobbed a grenade from his equipment launcher, the small red ball landing at the Shifters feet. The grenade went off and faltered the shifter. William swung at it again, this time severing an arm. The demon tried to block with energy blade but it's other arm was severed. Before the killing blow could be delivered the shifter shifted into a whiplash and snaked a few feet away and switched into a Dread Knight. The expression on its face was unreadable at first but then he recognized it. Was that a smile?

Before more blows could be exchanged Reds sword was drove into its back. Red removed the sword and Lucas delivered a magic punch to the back of the head. He was shocked to find the demon only fell over. It growled and shifted into a Tyrant and swatted the two away. The distraction gave William enough time to cut the demon in half. But it still wasn't dead, and realizing this William made to stomp on its head but it had already shifted into something else. This time a pain elemental and floated several feet into the air.

William didn't wait for an attack and pulled his ballista but it shifted into a Hell Knight and dropped down towards him. The Slayer rolled out of the way and delivered a blood punch to the demons body sending it flying backwards.

A noise came from the demon, a noise that confused the Slayer. The demon was laughing, a cold disgusting sound that infuriated William.

"Here I thought the stories were false. A man, once a mortal being able to tear through the armies of Hell? Bullshit. That's what I thought. Oh I can't wait to kill you." And with that the Shifter shifted into a summoner and dove and William, tackling him to ground. The two wrestled on the ground, the Slayer surprised at the Shifters strength. However it didn't match his own and once he got over the surprise he threw the summoner off of him and attempted to plunge his crucible into the demons head but it shifted into a tyrant and swatted the blade away. This back and fourth went on for what seemed like hours. I'm reality they only fought for minutes. During the fight William wondered what happened to Red and Lucas.

Suddenly they were both sprayed in an explosion of blood and gore. William kicked the Shifter away and turned to the heart to see it destroyed. He turned back to the shifter to see it walking into a slipgate. He ran forward trying to grab the shifter which was now back in Charas body. Before it stepped through it turned around and waved to him with a smile before stepping into the portal.

The slipgate closed just before William stepped through.

He cursed to himself and turned when he saw footsteps approaching. Red and Lucas ran towards him, covered in blood and gore.

"How did you destroy it?" William asked.

"Just stabbed it and it popped." Red said.

"Did you kill it?" Lucas asked.

The Slayer lowered his head and shook it.

"It escaped."

"Oh...that sucks." Lucas replied.

Red was about to say something when a blue slipgate opened behind her and she almost fell through.

She turned around and smiled before quickly stepping through. Lucas quickly followed and William retrieved his Super shotgun before stepping through.

Fortress of Doom

William, Red and Lucas stood on the bridge as they waited.

And waited.

And then a yellow light appeared and the Khan Makyr appeared.

The Slayer glared from under his helmet.

The Khan Makyr made eye contact with the Slayer before looking to Samuel.

"This child, Frisk is located in the Castle of Torment in the city of the Damned."

"That's all you are gonna us?" Lucas asked.

The Khan Makyr glared at Lucas and didn't give an answer.

"This Castle is where the the shifter responsible for the demonic invasion resides as well as her right hand and the Marauder." Red seemed to shiver at the mention of the Marauder.

"Her?" The Slayer asked.

"Shifters are fallen humans or monsters, they retain human like qualities. Because of this they are much more than "it's".

William rolled his eyes under his helmet.

"That is all, Doctor there are some things we need to discuss."

"Understood." Samuel Hayden said.

The Slayer turned to Red.

5 minutes later.

Reds head was slammed against the wall. She struggled to breath as The Doom Slayer wrapped both of his hands tightly around her neck.

"Talk."

"About what?" Red choked out.

"Everything. How you know who I am, how you know everything about the demons, and why your the Marauders daughter." Reds eyes went wide as he said this. She knew he must have heard when Samuel had said she was the Marauders daughter who was once the king of Argent D'nur.

Red sighed and began.

"I was born on Argent D'nur about 300 years before you arrived. Yes I am his daughter but before he went mad, I'm no demon." Williams grip loosened slightly.

"I grew up like any D'nurin child would until I was around 400 which was when everything went to shit and my father decided to fight for the Makyrs. I watched for hundreds of years as my father transformed into a real monster.

Red took in a shaky breath before continuing.

"When I became of age I was trained to fight in the Sentinel military. During that time my father gave me "extra lessons." He would bring me to hell, force me to survive in there on my own. I had to learn how to kill each and everyone one of those things. Sometimes I'd have to sleep in a cave in Hell and dozens of them would watch me and and then rape me..." Williams grip loosened some more.

"I heard the Makyr's were going to bring the most capable Sentinel Warrior to the Anomaly and I saw my way out. I trained harder than before, fully embracing my fathers lessons until I was chosen. And then I was put in the divinity machin-" William dropped her. Red fell to the floor and coughed.

"Finish." William stated, the edge in his voice softer.

"The Khan Makyr sent me to where you found me, I lived among society as normal until this bullshit happened."

"What about Katherine how did she know?"

"She didn't, I only told her about Hell. She believed me because of how religious she is. Oh and of course I know you, you were the one who came back from every battle with the demons, the only one ever to come back. Samer Makyr used the divinity machine on you just as he did me!" William just stared, possibly overwhelmed by the influx of information. He turned to the door and walked out of his personal room without another word.

Lucas stared by the door in shock. Red quickly wiped her eyes and stood up.

"Holy shit I had no idea..." Lucas said his eyes still wide.

Red sighed and turned to the 3 large monitors on the Slayers desk.

"Are you alright?" He asked but Red ignored him.

"V.E.G.A is there anywhere I could rest?" Despite the divinity machine being used on her, it was used to a lesser extent. She still needed food, water and sleep to survive.

Yes, I have unlocked a door across the hall for you

Red turned back to Lucas.

"Yeah...I'm fine. It's just I thought he would've killed me by now." Red said. Lucas's eyes widened again.

"You sure your alright, if I spilled the beans that I was from another dimension and was related to a demon I wouldn't be alright." Lucas said, his attempt at humor not seeming to cheer her up.

"Your right...I'm not." She said and walked out of the room and into the living quarters.

He stood there for minutes before thinking.

Maybe he should check on her.

Lucas walked out of the room and towards the quarters, seeing V.E.G.A didn't lock it for some reason.

He knocked...

Fortress of Doom

The Bridge.

"You're right. If she is able to resurrect the Icon of Sin and reset the timeline with them Icon still standing the next the casing around the anomaly will break and she can't do whatever she wants." Samuel said.

The Khan Makyr nodded.

"The only thing keeping the powers of determination from affecting all of reality is the casing around the dimension that the Father had once created. Chara wants to create a happy ending and I believe she will have to punish the rest of reality for that goal." Samuel cocked his robotic head to the side in confusion.

"Happy ending?" He asked.

The Khan Makyr turned from the window and to Samuel.

"The Anomaly is stuck in a time loop, we did this and gave the powers of determination to Frisk, someone who would be curious and wouldn't be aware of what was going on. Every time Frisk reaches the end of the underground she resets, she doesn't know why she will have an urge that she can't resist." Samuel nodded as he took in this information.

"Chara fell into the underground at a young age, she grew close to the prince. Soon she became a symbol of hope for monsters. Chara became so attached to the monsters that she poisoned herself and told Asriel to take her soul, cross the barrier and murder 6 humans to use their souls to break the barrier. Asriel didn't do it and Chara went to hell. She learned of determination and how the father had sealed their dimension away. So she spent years forming a plan to get a hold of Frisks soul and destroy her dimension and break the seal to create a new perfect one."

They both stood In silence, or floated in the Khans story.

"V.E.G.A set coordinates to the Castle of Torment." The slayer said.

Samuel and the Khan Makyr turned around to see the Slayer holding his Super Shotgun and with his armor cleaned.

"You cannot go alone we need to plan carefully in order to extract Frisk.

The portal opened and the Slayer jumped through.

Lucas let out a yawn but stopped with his eyes still closed. He doesn't really remember falling asleep.

Did he drink?

He also realized he was nude and was covered in sweat.

He slowly cracked open an eye and was starting at the ceiling. He sat up and suddenly the past nights events came back to him.

His eyes went wide and he turned to see a sleeping form laying beside him. It was Red.

"Oh shit..." Lucas whispered.

He had entered Reds room last night and the two began to talk. First about if she was okay and all but then things started shifting to her past. She was squirming a lot and when Lucas asked if she was okay she said she was fine. Lucas was thinking of something to say when she pounced and practically nailed him to the bed, her superior strength left him helpless and unable to question how or why it was happening.

'That is gonna leave me walking weird for awhile.' Lucas thought as he stared down at her sleeping form. He slowly stood up and picked up his clothes that were scattered throughout the room. He got dressed quickly and made for the door before looking back at Red in confusion.

He still had no idea why that happened, it was so sudden and random.

Lucas made for the bridge and saw Samuel talking with V.E.G.A.

The Khan Makyr was still here which somewhat confused the human.

"Uh...whats going on?" He asked as he awkwardly walked towards the bridge.

Samuel turned to face him.

"Where have you been?" He asked his tone sounding annoyed.

"Um, sleeping?"

"It's been 22 hours since I last saw you or Red." Lucas cursed himself and searched his brain for a response.

When he couldn't find a suitable one, he shrugged.

The robot shook his head. "I don't have time to deal with this. The Slayer left on his own to the Castle of Torment."

"What's wrong with that though? I think he can handle it." Samuel sighed in disapproval.

"That's not the issue. The issue is that if anything happens to Frisk than they will have the soul. The Khan Makyr told me they are keeping the girl alive but finding an alternative method to extract the soul. Knowing the Slayer, he will shoot first before thinking of the girl." Samuel explained.

"So what do we do?" Lucas asked.

"You, Red and a company of Knights Sentinels will infiltrate the Castle and get to Frisk before he does."

Lucas mentally slapped himself. He doubt he would be able to fight after his encounter last night.

A scan of Lucas's body shows he has just partaken in sexual activity. He is not fit to fight.

Samuel stormed off to the consoles.

"You fools! When you are needed the most you two are engaging in primitive acts!" The cyborg was furious.

The Khan Makyr's angelic voice spoke up.

"I believe Red will be able to fight due to her gifts granted by the divinity machine." Samuel sighed in relief.

"Please, wake her." Samuel ordered Lucas sternly.

The door to Reds quarters opened and Lucas walked in with a grin on his face. Red was still asleep. Lucas walked over to the bed and nudged her shoulder. She didn't budge. Lucas shook her again but no luck. The human sighed and pulled the covers off the bed. Red immediately began to stir with the lack of warmth.

Her eyes slowly opened and were looking into Lucas's, a grin growing on her features.

"Sorry." She said but didn't seem to mean it as her grin turned into a smile.

Lucas returned the smile. "It's alright, it was quite nice actually...even if you left me walking pretty strange."

Red blushed lightly and ran a finger down his chest.

"Is there a reason you woke me up?" She asked. Lucas sighs as his smile fades.

"William left for the Castle of Torment alone...I can't fight so..." Lucas trailed off as Red let out a disappointed sigh and sat up.

"Sorry, for real this time." She apologized with sincerity this time.

"It's alright...Samuel is waiting for you on the bridge." Lucas said and made to stand up but Red shot up and kissed him quickly before pulling back.

"I uh...can we talk about this later?" Red asked.

Lucas grinned and nodded.

"Yeah...we can."

A/N: Next chapter will be much more action focused.
