Chapter 8: First Day

Timeskip: 2 Days

I opened my eyes expecting to find my room, but instead found myself in what was quickly becoming my least favorite dream.

"C'mon Wrath, did you really have to call me here tonight? I start at UA tomorrow and you know I don't sleep well when you call me…." I trailed off as I finally took notice of the area. I was in the throne room, yes, but so was everyone. As in, all seven of the sins, not just mine. Well, this is unexpected. Normally when I'm summoned it's just Wrath, but for the first time since they told me all my duties as a sin bearer, the other six sins were on their thrones. Occasionally the others would be here when Wrath called me for whatever reason, but normally just in groups of one or two, and that was mostly for them to prod me about finding their hosts.

"Izuku Yagi." Wrath said from his throne. Like last time, he had his helmet off while all the others had theres' on. "Do you know why we called you here today?" He asked.

"Well, I would normally assume it was something to with me finally resisting a transformation the other day, but since the other sins are here I'd say it's something else." I said blatantly. You might think this is disrespectful, but when dealing with the literal embodiments of the seven deadly sins I've learned that it pays to be direct.

"You are correct, though I did wish to speak with you about that in private. I sensed that you've been irritated about something, so I've been trying to give you space." He said. Well, he's not wrong there.

In truth, I've been annoyed because Ocha has been kind of distant with me over the past two days. I've been texting her to make sure she's good from the attack at the mall, but her replies have been 1 or 2 words at most. I'm worried that I scared her with my near transformation more than she let on, so I've been pouring my frustration into training and studying. Dad's been trying to get me to ease up, but he's been busy brushing up on his teaching and preparing lessons plus doing the three hours of hero work that he can right now, so I've mostly been left to my own devices. The only reason I had stopped last night was so I could get to bed early and get a good night's sleep. So much for that.

"Hey, I can feel that passive aggressive energy you're giving off. Now, the reason we called you here. We want you to find the remaining hosts as soon as possible." He said.

"Like I've been saying, once I start into high school I will make it a priority to find the other six sin bearers. I just want to make sure that I choose people that will use the power for good." I said for what seems like the hundredth time.

"We know this, and we have begrudgingly accepted your terms, Sin Bearer. However, we have something to discuss that will make your search easier." I heard one of the other sins, Envy, I think, say. "Through our combined efforts, we have managed to pick up an echo of the quirk you tried to inherit from your father. The very same quirk that tried to absorb us." She said, with just a hint of bitterness in her voice.

"Hey now, the kid did apologize for that. After all, it was an honest mistake." Wrath said in my defense. "Now, back onto topic, as Envy pointed out we did manage to recreate a version of this stockpiling quirk."

"So wait, I'll be able to stockpile strength like Dad and all of his predecessors have done?" I asked, excited to have even a weakened version of Dad's quirk.

"Not quite, no matter how we looked at it the strain of stockpiling physical power would've been impossibly immense on our hosts bodies." He said. Well, there went that hope for the second time, I thought bitterly. "Instead, we chose to incorporate it into our triggers."

"Ok, let's pretend I have no clue what you mean exactly. What triggers?" I asked. I have an idea of what he meant, but I wanted to be certain.

"You're supposed to be clever, you know. But very well, I'll elaborate. Each of us sins have our own set of triggers, the first one being simple while the second is considerably more complex and completely individual. For instance, as you know my two triggers are adrenaline and the object of one's wrath, which for you ended up being villainy. The other six sins operate similarly with their own objects." He said calmly. "With that having been said, now that we've applied the stockpiling into our own triggers, ..."

"The hosts will stockpile their sins away and feel them less through their lives!" I finished as I caught on fully.

"I take back my jab at your cleverness. Yes, no longer will the hosts be remembered as some of the most sinful people to ever live, as now they'll be able to stockpile them away to fuel their power."

"That's genius! So if I see someone that I think would make a great host but is struggling too much with their own sin to make a good hero, the power will actually help take the edge off!" I said, growing excited at this new prospect. I had been worrying about this quite a bit, the balance between a good sin host candidate and just a bad sinner.

"Well, as much as I would love to take credit for this, we actually got the idea from an old enemy of ours that we faced years ago. I can't remember her face exactly but I remember her saying a lot about storing her emotions to fuel her power." Wrath said.

"Maybe that's why you thought the quirk seemed familiar. Maybe she had a kind of stockpiling quirk that let her do that." I said.

"Come to think of it, that might be it. Like I said, I can't remember too much about her but I know she was definitely evil." He said darkly. "But enough of that, this new ability will be added in with the Transformation and Sin Sight as one that you all share. It won't do much for you personally as you're not really a wrathful person until you're face to face with a villain, but others that are constantly under the burden of their sin will definitely see a difference."

"Where's all the stockpiled emotion going to go anyway? Should I expect to see a boost in power?" I asked the quirk.

"Not really. The aim with this ability is more for duration than anything, so the others will have more control over their transformations by channeling the stored emotion into it. This is still untested for us too, so we're not sure of anything, but I'd say you'll be able to stay in your full transformation for longer should you ever use it for an extended period."

"Wait, that has a time limit on it? How did I not know this?" I asked a bit annoyed.

"Because the three times dragoned out fully were all in short bursts lasting less than 30 minutes. I've tried to tell you this before but almost any time I mention the full transformation and how uncontrollable we are in it, you tend to zone out and think about your previous incidents." He replied flatly as I looked sheepish.

"Oh, I see. Oops." I said.

"For the record, if you ever have another incident like that, I'd suggest having your friend around you. There are very few people that have calmed my hosts down from their melting point. Miss Uraraka must have some hold on you." Wrath said.

"Yeah, she's a good friend."

"Just a friend? One of my host's was married and her wife couldn't even calm her down like that." Wife?! Not you too!

"Yes, just a friend." I assured him, though he just raised an eyebrow in response. Is it time for me to wake up yet?

"Actually, almost. Now, before you go, there's one more thing I need to discuss. When you choose another host, you'll need to have the right gem present. If you decide they are worthy, place it somewhere on their body and you'll both be sent here so they can be evaluated. If chosen, the power will take a bit to settle, but unlike you they'll get Sin Sight plus whatever power normally goes with their sin along with transformation, but that last one might take a little while longer to settle."

I had to wait five years before you gave me Sin Sight and Aggression, why do they get it immediately? I thought.

"Consider it punishment for making us wait so long." I heard from Lust, I think.

Oh yeah, I forgot you could all read my mind.

"We noticed." All seven said at once.

"Now get going Sin Bearer, you've got hosts to find." Wrath said.

"Make sure you find me a strong one!" I heard from Pride.

"Oh, and make sure mine is cute!"

"Make sure mine *yawn* won't need me too much."

"Oh, and ..."

BEEP BEEP BEEP! BEEP BEEP BEEP!

I woke with a start as I heard my alarm go off. The first thing I did was turn it off and look at the time. 6 a.m. Good thing I'm an early riser. I thought as I hoped out of bed and walked over to my bathroom. Without missing a step I fell back into my morning routine and in no time I was drying my freshly-washed hair. The whole time though I was thinking about what the sins had told me. With this new ability, the selection process would be much easier, and would almost certainly help whoever I chose. Sin Sight should make narrowing out candidates a bit easier, though turning it off might prove to be difficult. Keeping it on isn't a good idea either, as I learned that leaving it on for more than a few minutes can lead to some nasty headaches.

I looked down at my phone to see if Ocha ever texted back. She hadn't, so I texted first.

(Begin Texting)

"Hey. You up yet?" I sent. To my surprise, she responded almost immediately.

"Unfortunately, you?"

"Mostly, just getting ready for our first day. You nervous?"

"Definitely. There are gonna be so many people that are super smart and super strong."

"Then you'll fit right in."

"Idk Kai, these are supposed to be some of the brightest people in the country. I don't know if I'll measure up."

"That's what you said when I first brought up switching to a harder school, and yet we both made it through fine."

"Yeah, but this is UA, the number one hero school in the country, maybe in the world. I'm pretty sure being smart isn't going to cut it."

"Well, you did pretty well with that villain the other day." After I sent this, I had to wait several minutes for a reply. I didn't care though, this was the most I had talked to Ocha since the mall.

"As if, you were the one that did everything. I just made him light."

"Not true, you held your nerve and kept a level head, followed along with a plan without being told what it was, and disoriented the villain enough for me to deliver the final blow. Not to mention, you saved me from going berserk. Thanks again for that, btw." Again, a long pause followed her reply.

"Like I've said the last fifty times, you're welcome. I'm still not sure I helped all that much, but I'd better finish getting ready."

"Alright, same here. You're good with the cover story, right?"

"Yup. Keep it close to true. Your name is Izuku Yagi, your quirk is Draconic Augmentation, and your father is Toshinori Yagi. Stay vague about details about him, but if anyone asks then he's a secretary at All Might's hero agency in Tokyo and that's why you're well off and know so many heroes."

"That's basically it. You said your aunt is taking you today but after that I'll be flying us, right?"

"Yup, her and Mom are both getting weepy about it being my first day in high school, so she wanted to see me off. But cars are slower than flying, so I'd better finish getting ready if I don't want to be late. See you at school."

"See ya then."

(End Text Conversation)

I put down my phone as I smiled at the thought of Ocha being pestered by her aunt and mother. You could definitely tell those two were sisters by how they acted. Since Ocha lived with her aunt and uncle I didn't see her actual mom and dad very often, but from the times that I did I knew they were both really nice. I'm still not sure why Ocha moved in with the Takahashi's all those years ago, but she told me not to ask so I haven't. Wait, what time is it?

I looked down at the clock. Oh crap, I'm gonna be late! I thought as I ran down the stairs to grab a quick breakfast in the form of a banana, a bowl of cereal, and a glass of OJ. At the risk of choking, I scarfed everything down at possibly inhuman speeds. With that, I ran back up stairs to brush my teeth and grab my bag and I was out the door.

I looked down at my watch again. 7:15. Ok, not terrible. Class starts at eight, and with this direct flight path I should be able to get there by 7:30 and be in homeroom by 7:45. Thankfully I took a look at the schematics and know exactly where Class 1-A is. I thought as I took my shirt off and grew into my usual transformation. As soon as my wings came out I was airborne.

I wasn't in any real danger of being late, but I wanted to be early for the first day since I was sure others from my class would be there and I wanted to meet a few of them before Unczawa, no, Mr. Aizawa, started class. If there was once thing I know about that man, it's that he doesn't pull punches. This first week at UA might be hellish for all of us.

I could feel people staring at me as I flew overhead, some even being frightened. I just sighed in annoyance as I tried my best to ignore them. You would think I would be used to this after years of flying to school with Ocha, but I purposefully chose a pretty obscure path where almost no one would see us for that trip. I know my transformation isn't exactly pretty, but I still don't like people staring at me like I'm going to swoop down and eat them. It makes me feel like that scared 5 year-old whose normal was being yelled at and forced to leave once his foster family saw his quirk. But if I'm going to be a hero, then I need to get used to the staring and just hope that people get used to me like Ocha has.

However, the staring didn't calm down even a little. As I got closer to the school, it actually got worse. There were more people around as I got into a more urban area, and before I knew it there were people taking pictures of me and at one point I even had to yell down that I was just heading to school and not attacking or anything. After that, I decided it would be better to book it, so I kicked my wings into high gear and actually made it to school at 7:25. And that's a good thing, because as soon as I landed and turned back, I saw a swarm of paparazzi surrounding the gate and what looked like another student. I put my shirt on and rushed over to help my new classmate out. Once they noticed me, the swarm swallowed me up as well.

"WHAT'S IT LIKE BEING A UA STUDENT?"

"IS IT TRUE THAT ALL MIGHT IS GOING TO BE TEACHING HERE?"

"TELL US THE TRUTH, WHAT IS PRINCIPAL NEZU EXACTLY?"

"DO YOU THINK THE BUSINESS COURSE SHOULD BE MOVED TO ANOTHER SCHOOL?"

I got the feeling that they weren't going to quiet down very easily, so I shifted back into my first form. Once I was at about 15% I reared my head back and blew a small stream of fire into the air, successfully silencing the reporters.

"Thank you, now that I have your attention, I would like to point out a few things. One, we're obviously both first years, exactly how much do you think we know about the school on our first day? Two, you're reporters, not cops, we don't have to answer any of your questions if we don't want to. And three, we're students and you're blocking our way into our classes. I don't know about my new friend here, but my homeroom teacher is Eraserhead. I can and will call the school and get him out here to deal with you people if I need to." I said finally. Most just starred as if they didn't often get talked back to quite like that. Some of the smarter reporters even turned pale and apologized as soon as I mentioned getting Unczawa involved. He had a bit of a reputation with the media.

Without another word, I began walking through the crowd as I motioned for the girl I just rescued to follow. Normally I would've just grabbed her hand and pulled her along, but given that I couldn't see it I thought this would just be easier. Yes, curiously enough the girl was completely invisible barring her uniform. The only reason I could tell she was a girl was because of her, ahem, generous figure.Once we got to the gate we walked through without another word, the sensors picking up on the ID chips in our uniforms and allowing us access, the girl immediately squealed and hugged me.

"Eeeep, thanks for the save back there! The way you stood up to them was totally awesome!" She said.

"No problem, I've been told for a while now that the press are like vultures, so you could say I was prepared." I said sheepishly.

"Well, I'm grateful for whoever told you that. You're totally my hero."

"Academia." I said as a certain compulsion came over me.

"What?" She said.

"Don't worry about it. The author writing our dialogue just has a weirdly meta sense of humor and saw the opportunity to say the name of the show. Don't worry about it, we're both going to forget this part ever happened once you say okay." I said, not sure why I was saying that.

"Okay." She said. Suddenly we both shook our heads and I lost my train of thought.

"That was weird." I said.

"Yeah, definitely. Oh, I'm Toru Hagakure by the way."

"Izuku Yagi. By the way, so are you a first year as well?" I asked. I told the reporters that just so they'd leave us alone, I wasn't sure if I was right or not.

"Yup, Class 1-A."

"Sweet, same here. You know where you're going?"

"Not at all. That's why I got here early, so I could find my way there." She said as she put her hand on I assume the back of her head.

"Well, luckily I managed to sneak a peek at a map so I know where it is. If you want to follow me I know exactly where it is." I said. She responded by just clapping her hands together.

"Ooh, brave and smart. Plus you're being my hero twice in one day, I already like this school. Lead the way, Yagi." She said. I did as she requested, and we made it to the enormous door with about 20 minutes to spare. Unsurprisingly, we weren't the first ones there. We heard two students arguing before we even made it to the door.

"Get your feet off of the table this instant! It is disrespectful to this school and to our upperclassmen who came before us!" I heard a familiarly uptight voice exclaim.

"C'mon Four Eyes, if our upperclassmen are gonna be offended by my feet on a desk, then I already don't respect them anyway." A gruff voice responded. A voice that I hadn't heard in 10 months, since the night of the sludge villain attack. The voice of my once best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, or as I knew him, Kacchan. Dad had told me that he was at the exams, but I hadn't dreamed that we would be in the same class. I walked around the corner of the door to see these two acquaintances of mine, silently planning what I would say.

Apparently I had missed the next part of the conversation, because when I walked in Kacchan was insulting Iida about his elitist attitude. This conversation died as soon as they both saw me.

"Ah, Yagi, I'm so glad we both ended up in the same class." The stiff bluenette said as he walked up to greet me. Before I could even reply, my old friend exploded towards me (ha, puns) with even more anger present in his crimson eyes.

"You! If you're Yagi, then that means you're the bastard that beat me! I was supposed to have the highest score in the entrance exam, but you showed me up, dammit!" He practically screamed. It was evident that he didn't remember me from childhood, nor did he recognize me out of my transformation from the slime villain attack, all I could really do is blink as the boy that I once called my best friend fumed at me over a number. As much as I want to bring up our shared history, I can't do that without giving up my past. I'll have to talk to him in private later.

"Ah, you must be the second highest scorer, Katsuki Bakugo. Congrats on getting 95 points." I said, hoping this would calm down my former friend. It didn't.

"Don't talk down to me! I don't care if you did break All Might's record on the exam, you're still just another extra that I'm gonna crush if you get in my way!" He stated. Apparently Iida and I were on the same train of thought, because he opened his mouth and spoke what I was thinking just a second before I was going to.

"Crush him? Are you sure you want to be a hero?" Iida asked.

"Yeah? What about it? Being a hero is about being the strongest around, so one day I'm gonna be the number one hero, to show everyone just how powerful I am! So watch yourselves, both of you." He snarled before going over to his assigned desk and sitting down.

Not wanting to restart anything, Iida and I went back to find our respective desks, which fortunately were very close to each other, with mine being in the last one in the second row and his being the second-to-last in the first row, leaving the corner open for Ocha.. (A/N: If anyone's curious, for the sake of the story I switched Sato and Izuku's seating arrangements. If you want an in-story reason for this, then it was Nezu's idea to have him next to Ocha as part of that deal he made to put them in the same class.) Hagakure was unfortunately stuck sitting in front of the human bomb, but luckily he seemed to be too busy steaming to actually notice her.

As I sat down in the back row, I looked to my left and saw a guy with red hair on half of his head and white hair on the other half. I almost introduced myself to him, but the cold glare he gave told me that might not be a good idea. Instead, I turned to the guy with the weird-shaped head that was sitting in front of me. I told him my name, but he just frantically waved at me in response. Not much of a talker either, I see. I looked around to see who else was here, so far about half of the class was here. There was a guy with spiky red hair trying to talk to Kacchan, despite getting angry daggers for a response, as well as a really short kid with weird purple hair that was sitting at his desk staring creepily at the green-haired girl in front of Iida. I thought about that for a minute before I realized why he might be staring at her. To confirm my suspicion, I activated Sin Sight for just a second while looking at him. That was a mistake.

"Ah!" I said quietly while rubbing my eyes. Damn, that pink aura was bright. It's like his sin is at the core of his personality or something. I was expecting a light cloud around him, not a hot pink supernova! I thought.

"Yagi, are you alright?" Iida asked me. Apparently I wasn't as quiet as I thought, because he and a few others were looking at me, including the horny bastard that just flashbanged me.

"I'm fine, just a small headache." I said, speaking truthfully as I did have a headache forming thanks to that. My response was enough to lose the attention from the others, barring Iida.

"Hm, well that's no good. Perhaps you should see the school nurse so you don't have to endure such head pain on your first day." He said pointedly.

"It's nothing, just a headache. I think it's already fading. So, are you nervous for the start of class?" I asked.

He begrudgingly moved to that topic as we continued making polite conversation. Apparently he was pretty smart in terms of academics, having been in the top of his class at the prestigious school he went to before coming to UA. His quirk was called Engine, which as I saw in the entrance exam lets him run really fast. Something about his name and quirk seemed familiar to me, but for the time being I let it drop. He asked a few questions about me and Ocha, which I answered as truthfully as possible. I told him how we both switched schools for a more challenging curriculum, which he seemed pleased by. As for my quirk, I stuck to the official story on that and told him it was Draconic Enhancement and that it basically just allowed me to take on the form I did in the exam and breathe fire, with a downside that it can be difficult to control. As we talked, the rest of our new classmates filtered in through the enormous door, with Ocha coming in right before the bell rang.

"Ocha, hey. I was beginning to wonder where you were." I said.

"Yeah, Mom and Aunt Hana insisted on taking a lot of pictures for my first day of high school. You know how they are." She said. I knew Mrs. Takahashi well enough that I didn't doubt that, and though I've seen Mrs. Uraraka less over the years I know she's very similar to her sister, so it's pretty easy to imagine those two nearly making Ocha late. As is, I'd say they're on their way back to Mrs. Takahashi's house to watch one of their weird soap operas to keep their minds off of Ocha's first day.

"Well, I would say you're just in time to chat with Iida and I, but there's a familiar yellow sleeping bag that just stood up from behind his desk and I think he's about to start class." I said, gesturing towards our homeroom teacher in his infamous cocoon. Funnily enough, that sleeping bag was actually a gag gift from Dad a few years ago that we all had a good laugh about, even Unczawa chuckled at it, though I think I've seen him use that bag more than his scarf.

He remained standing still for a few more seconds while the rest of the class continued conversing. Ocha and I knew the drill by now so we stopped talking, and Iida was smart enough to follow our example, but the rest of the class remained unaware.

"If you're here to make friends then I suggest you go somewhere else." He said in his usual monotone voice. This succeeded in silencing the class very quickly. "It took you all eight seconds to quiet down and get to your desks. If you're going to be UA students then this will need to improve. Anyway, my name is Shota Aizawa, I'll be your homeroom teacher. Now, there are gym uniforms up here on my desk, grab one and meet me outside." He said as some of the students just stared blankly, most wondering if the talking caterpillar was being serious. Since I was used to my surrogate uncle's strange demeanor, I was the first to do as he said as he slipped out of his bag and walked out the door, with Ocha right behind me.

The others took this action to mean yes, and soon we were all holding our uniforms and trying to catch up to our new homeroom teacher. Eventually we made it outside after a quick detour into the locker rooms to get our gym uniforms on, all of us wondering what we were doing out here. The leading theories were either a campus tour or the start of some kind of hell week where he'd make us train until we puke. When things started getting too off base, I decided to pipe up.

"You're all overthinking this. I'd say he's just going to have us do some sort of test to see where we are physically." I said. I wasn't sure if I was right, but I knew that when he started training me Unczawa was very insistent that we get a benchmark established, and from what Auntzawa has told me he runs his classroom pretty similarly to how he trained me.

"Oh, like one of those placement tests we had to do in middle school at the start of the year? That'd make sense." One guy with a tail said.

"I don't know, doing a test like that would mean we'd probably be late for the introduction ceremony." A girl with pink replied.

"If we even go to it, I heard that this teacher doesn't like to hang onto tradition much. My dad told me he even expelled an entire class a few years ago because they weren't good enough." Another guy said, this one blonde with a balck streak in his hair. I remember the day he did that, he came in ranting about how even I, who was around 9 years-old at the time, could've easily beaten any of them one on one, or even given them a challenge in a 1v20.

"And not one of them had any potential." The aforementioned teacher said, revealing his hiding place around the corner of the building as he held a small yellow ball. "And that's why we're here today, to see if you have any. Today we'll be doing a quirk assessment test to see where you all stand as of now." He said.

"Well Yagi, it seems you were right after all. Excellent deduction." Iida said to me. Before I could reply, Unczawa beat me to it.

"Oh, so you predicted my little test, did you? Well, I suppose it's to be expected." He said before looking to face the entire class. "I should go ahead and address that I personally have known Mr. Yagi here and his father for a few years now, as well as Ms. Uraraka by extension. But let me assure you that neither of them will receive any special treatment from me. If anything, I will be even harder on them than the rest of you since they already know what I expect." He said while throwing his usual bone-chilling stare at the two of us. Apparently Ocha was feeling brave today, because instead of cowering like most would under his gaze, she raised her hand.

"Yes Uraraka."

"If we're going to be doing a quirk assessment test, does that mean we won't be going to orientation?" She asked.

"No, we won't be. Here at UA we're not tethered to tradition like most schools, meaning we can run our classes however we want. If you want to make it as a pro hero then you need to learn to stop wasting time on pointless ceremonies. Now, moving on to the actual test," He said as he turned towards Kacchan, "Bakugo, right? You placed second in the entrance exam. What was the farthest you could throw a softball in middle school?"

"67 meters, I think." He answered.

"67 meters, huh? Let's see how far you can throw it now." Aizawa said as he tossed the ball to him. "Go into that circle and throw the ball as far as you can, but unlike in middle school you can use your quirk."

"Using my quirk, huh? In middle school they never let me use it so the other extras would have a chance." He said with a wide grin.

"Yes, unfortunately the school boards are still stuck in the past, so rather than let you use your quirks to see where your strengths lie, they keep everyone on the same level so none get left behind. It's not rational, but eventually they will adapt and put in a new system. Now hurry up and throw the ball. You can do whatever you want, just don't leave the circle."

"Alright, for a simple ball throw I'll just add a blast to send it flying." He said to himself before winding up his throw. "DIE!" He exclaimed before sending the ball away with a huge explosion behind it. Die? Really? That's heroic. We waited for a moment for it to land before our new teacher spoke again.

"All of you need to know your maximum capabilities. It's the best way to tell your potential as a pro hero." He said before turning his phone around and showing us the number on the screen. Almost everyone in class gasped at it. 705 meters? Dang, Kacchan, you may be a jerk now but your quirk is just as powerful as ever, I thought to myself. The others in class started talking, saying how good it'll be to finally use their quirks like this. Then that pink girl, Ashido I think her name was, said something remarkably stupid.

"Yay, this looks like fun!" She said, which inevitably brought out Unczawa's sadistic side. All I could do was look on before he opened his mouth, knowing how bad an idea saying how fun this would be was. I briefly remembered just how unfun things got years ago when Aizawa and Ryukyo started training me and I mentioned that I was having fun. I swear I'm still sore from that day. Aizawa stayed over an extra four hours just to make sure I was still having "fun"with copious amounts of physical training. He would've stayed longer, but Dad finally stepped in and saved my poor undeveloped muscles from their torture. Say what you want about Unczawa, but he can be brutal if he thinks you're not taking something seriously.

"So you think this looks fun, huh? You have three years here to become heroes, you think it'll all be games and play time? Very well, then I suppose I'll have to make a game of my own. You'll be competing in eight different physical tests to gauge your potential, whoever comes in last will be deemed as having none, and will be expelled immediately." He said with a scary grin on his face.

Most of the class immediately got a scared look on their face, particularly the ones whose quirks weren't physical at all. The guy with the weird purple hair looked like he was practically in tears. That's harsh, Unczawa. I'm pretty sure you're lying about this, but if even it's just an empty threat to motivate us, saying you'll expel one of us on the first day is just cruel. Either way, I'd better not be slacking anyway, or else you and Dad will have my head. Though Ocha was apparently not sharing my thoughts or my confidence, based on what she said next.

"But Mr. Aizawa, that's not fair! You can't send one of us home, we just got here!" She said with her cheeks puffed out.

"And you think natural disasters are fair, or villain attacks? What about catastrophic events that reduce whole cities into craters? The world is full of unfairness, and it's the job of a hero to combat this and fight on anyway. For the next three years, UA will be doing all that it can to throw one trial or hardship after another at you, so you can learn to power through. As the school motto goes, you need to learn to go beyond, plus ultra. So show me that you belong here." He said. Though he remained monotone, I could actually hear a hint of emotion in his voice, like he wanted us all to succeed in spite of his words.

With the explanation out of the way, he led us over to the next event: The 50 Meter Dash. At once, we all started trying to come up with ways that we could use our quirks more effectively. For some, it was pretty easy, like Iida. He sped right through his race while the green haired girl he was facing was stuck hopping. And then you had Ocha, who had the idea to lighten her clothes and shoes so they wouldn't weigh her down. Though it didn't seem like much, she did improve her time a little bit. One guy even shot a laser out of his stomach to propel him backwards while his opponent, the "fun" girl, put out some kind of acid below her so she could slide to the finish. It was almost inspiring to see all these quirks, and how my new classmates were using them, though it left me wondering how I should use mine.

The obvious choice would be to just transform up to my second phase and wings to the finish. The only problem was that I'd have to transform up like that in front of my new classmates. The last time I actually transformed like that as showed my classmates my quirk, I was landed with the name Kaiju for the next few years, and while that did land me with my nickname from Ocha, I'd really rather not have to deal with that kind of thing so soon. I'll have to show them eventually, but for now it'll probably be better to stick with phase one. I'll just have to rely on my enhanced strength and speed to carry me through these tests. Besides, Unczawa knows my physical capabilities anyway. With that thought, I shifted up to about 20% and waited to see everyone's reactions.

Honestly, they were better than expected. No one screamed and yelled for an exorcist or anything, but there were stares at my claws and fangs, as well as my now green skin. I didn't go too far with the transformation, so my scales were pretty sparse and I only gained a few inches of height. As I looked around, I did notice that my classmates were a little uneasy, so I tried to give them a small wave to ease the tension. That mostly did the trick, as they realized I was still very much in control. The three people who knew about my second form were looking at me expectedly, but I tried to give them a look saying I was staying here.

With everything there settled, I made my way up to the starting line. As if by fate, my opponent was Kacchan. Fortunately, with the extra bit of height I was on the same level as him, so we looked each other in the eye. Unlike the others, he didn't appear to be unsettled at all by my appearance, instead he kept his normal scowl. When the signal was given, we both took off at high speeds. Kacchan just used his explosions to blast over the track, while I had to sprint it with a similar time to Ocha's. If I had been in 2nd phase then I'm sure I could've been faster than him, but for now I was content with losing.

"Good race, looks like you beat by just a second there." I said, trying to be a good sport towards my old friend.

"Yeah, whatever, let's just get to the next event so I can beat you at that too." He retorted. I was kind of expecting this response, but it was a little disheartening to hear all the same. Though I did notice he kept looking at me like he was trying to figure something out, and with my enhanced hearing I heard him say I looked familiar. Hopefully this means he'll remember me when I talk to him later.

As we were walking back to the group, Unczawa pulled me to the side.

"Care to explain why you're holding back? If you had used your wings, you could've cleared that faster than Iida." He asked.

"Well, to do that, I would have to shift into my second phase, which I'm not keen on doing. You know I've had a few bad reactions to my transformations, so I was planning on staying in phase one for today and talking up phase two. I'd really rather not be branded as a monster on my first day. I don't really see an issue with this since you already know my capabilities. Please don't ask me to." I said, hoping he wouldn't push the issue.

"Hmm, I suppose it's alright for today. But once we start hero training I won't accept anything less than your best, understand?" He asked, which I immediately agreed to. With that, he readied the next set of runners while I made my way back to Ocha and Iida.

"I had a feeling you'd stay low for today." Ocha said as soon as I made it over there.

"Yeah, I guess you know me well by now. Disappointed?" I asked her.

"A little. Although I'm sure that our new classmates would be less judgemental than our old ones, I understand you being reluctant to go all out. I take it that's what Mr. Aizawa talked to you about?" She said.

"Yeah, fortunately he understood too."

"I don't. I thought you'd definitely use your wings and fly across. I know for a fact you were going almost as fast as I was during the entrance exams, you could've easily beaten Bakugo." Iida said.

"I don't always like to use my winged form. For today I'll be sticking around 20%. The form you saw at the exams was closer to 70." I said.

"I don't understand, this assessment is meant to gauge our current abilities, why would you limit yourself to such a low degree?" He asked. I opened my mouth to reply, but found the words caught in my throat. It was still a really hard thing for me to talk about. Fortunately, I had another option.

"Would you mind explaining, Ocha? You know I struggle with things like that." I asked her.

"Sure thing. You see, Kai has a bit of a difficult history with his quirk. Even since it manifested he's been called all sorts of terrible things when someone new saw it. It took him forever to even show me the form he took in the entrance exam. And the last time he had to transform like that in front of a lot of people, they started calling him Kaiju, like those old movies. People are so empty-headed that they see one little transformation quirk and suddenly it doesn't matter that he's one of the nicest, sweetest guys on the planet, he's automatically a monster." She said, blushing a little but also really mad at the thought of my old bullies.

"Really, bullied just for your appearance when using your quirk? Didn't the teachers do anything about this?" Iida asked seriously.

"The teachers were taking bets on whether or not I actually had a quirk, just like the rest of my classmates. Even here, when I transformed at the entrance exam, I was flying by too quickly at the start to notice people's reactions to this form, but when I was flying down from taking out the Zero Pointer in my second form I noticed a lot of stares. I think most of them were because of what I had just done, but there were a few faces in the crowd that looked at me like I had just crawled out of Hell. So for today, I'm just going to stick with this one and let people get used to it, then probably explain the second part later." I said finally.

"Well, after hearing your explanation I can certainly understand your unwillingness, but I still don't think you should sabotage yourself like this. You heard Mr. Aizawa, the person who comes in last will be expelled." He replied.

"Trust me, even at 20% I have no intention of coming in last. Besides, between you and me I don't Un- I mean Mr. Aizawa will expel anyone. From what I've seen so far everyone here has at least a little bit of potential. It's likelier that he just said that to motivate everyone to take this seriously and try their hardest." I said, which seemed to baffle him even more than what I told him of my backstory.

"Unbelievable, to think that a UA teacher would lie to his students. I never would have dreamed ..."

"If the ends justify the means, then a little rational deception is an easy choice for me to make." The teacher in question said, startling all three of us in the process.

"M-M-Mr. Aizawa, when did you get here?" Ocha asked him nervously.

"I've been standing here for the last minute or so. You were too engrossed in conversation to notice we've moved on to the next test." He said. Sure enough, once we looked behind us we noticed seventeen pairs of eyes on us from a small distance away. "Oh, and Mr. Yagi, in the future I would prefer if you didn't give away all of my teaching strategies. I would hate to grade all the extra work you might be assigned." He said nonchalantly.

"Yes sir." I said. With that, the four of us walked over to do the next event. As the tests continued, I stayed true to my plans and kept my transformation at about 20%.

We went through the next six tests without a problem. I tried my hardest and just through physique I managed to do fairly well in every test. I actually placed pretty well in most of them, mostly because of the years of physical training I've done with and without my quirk, plus the ten months of intensive training I did for One For All. Even though I wasn't using my quirk much I still expected that I'd be in the top five.

I would talk to Iida and Ocha between tests, though we were paying much more attention to our surroundings now. We were coming up on the final test now, which was the ball throw that Kacchan had already completed. So far no one other than Ocha had beaten him, and that's just because she used her quirk and sent the ball into space. While I knew how her quirk worked and was expecting that, nearly every jaw dropped when they saw the pink infinity symbol appear on the screen. Kacchan looked like he was ready to, well, explode, but to his credit he kept his mouth shut. That is, until I stepped up to do it.

"You're never going to beat my record with that puny quirk, Yagi." I heard him heckle. Despite being the bearer of Wrath, I'm not exactly quick to temper, so I tried to ignore what he said and got ready to throw the ball.

"You're buddy the teacher probably botched the entrance exam scores for you to make you feel better." He continued. Again, I tried to ignore it, but him bringing Unczawa into this did get under my skin a little. I was tempted to respond and let him know Aizawa would never do that, but I knew he was just trying to distract me. Blinking, I continued as I was and got ready to throw the ball. I knew I had no chance of beating his score, but even at 20% I was pretty sure I could do at least 300 meters. Just to be safe, I bumped it up to 30%, which seemed to go unnoticed. But just as I was about to let it fly, he let out one more taunt that not even I could ignore.

"I bet you pissed your pants when you saw that Zero Pointer. I'm surprised your little girlfriend even wants to be seen with you and your weak-ass quirk. Don't worry, I'm sure once you embarrass yourself here she'll want to get away. Or if not, then I guess I'll just have to crush you both later." He called out. Alright, that's it, screw the plan! I'm showing this punk where to draw the line! I dropped the ball and turned around to face him. You can insult me all you want, you can lie about my family and friends if you're feeling brave, but one thing that would never ever be tolerated was threatening Ocha. I dropped the ball and began walking over to him slowly, talking as I did.

"Really now, let me get a few things clear. Ocha is not my girlfriend, she's my best friend, who'd stick with me even if I was quirkless. She's not some idiot who thinks power is everything, and she definitely wouldn't let herself be "crushed" by someone like you. Mr. Aizawa would never botch someone's scores in the entrance exam, not even his own child's. He cares way too much about getting good pros out on the streets to allow a personal relationship to get in the way of that. I don't care what you say about me, but you leave my friends out of this." I said, before leaning in and whispering the next part so low that only he and I could hear it. "And by the way, if you want to talk about pissing your pants, maybe I should bring up how you did exactly that when the slime villain was making you his bitch before All Might stepped in to save you." I leaned back immediately after saying this, only to be punched in the face by a now fuming blonde.

"Yagi, you bastard! I don't know how you know about that, but I didn't need saving! Not from All Might or that winged asshole! I was about to blow that villain to Hell before they got there, and I sure wasn't afraid of him!" He yelled after me as I dodged another punch. His face no longer held that cocky grin that he had moment's before, now it was contorted in pure rage. Before he could try for a third punch, Aizawa sprang into action and wrapped his scarf around him and activated his quirk.

"Why the hell won't my quirk work?!" The blonde yelled.

"Because, I erased it. I will not tolerate students fighting, even on the first day. Yagi, just throw the ball already, I'll make sure Bakugo here behaves himself in the meantime." He said with his eyes glowing red as Bakugo struggled against the scarf in vain. I thought he was going to jump in sooner, but I guess he caught onto my plan and wanted to make sure I had enough time, which I certainly did. Wow, only four sentences and two punches nearly filled me up, Kacchan really is aggressive when he wants to be. I could easily beat his score with this much stored aggression, but I think I'll top off first.

"Oh, and Bakugo, I beg to differ about you not being scared by the slime villain." I called back as I made it to the circle.

"And how the hell would you know?!" He yelled with the scarf still partially covering his mouth.

"Because, I could smell it." I said before taking off my shirt and amping up my transformation to 80%. He looked confused at first, but I could see the recognition in his eyes grow as I grew taller and my scales grew more and more numerous. By the time my wings grew out he was screaming bloody murder towards me, yelling a few things so profain that I'd rather not repeat them here. Ah, that did it, I thought as I felt that last bit of aggression fly into me as my ability reached its fullest charge. I didn't dare look at my other classmates' reactions for now, as I had to focus on the task at hand.

I stepped into the circle and picked up the ball from where I had dropped it a minute ago. I reared back my arm to an angle where I'd get the maximum distance, called on as much aggression as I possibly could as well as my own natural strength, and with an audible woosh! the ball was flying through the air. The wind pressure behind it was enough to affect even the back row of my classmates as the ball zoomed across the sky, until it finally landed and promptly broke. I turned around to look at the screen, along with the rest of the class, even Bakugo.

"1100 METERS!?" Most of the class exclaimed. Many looked back at me in shock, and to my surprise only the one or two looked afraid, the rest looked almost … impressed.

"Dude, you were holding back that much power the whole time?" The blonde guy with the black streak, Kaminari, I heard him be called, said.

"The way you stood up to Bakugo there was so manly bro!" The guy that was talking to Kacchan earlier remarked.

"That certainly is quite the power you wield, Yagi. I look forward to seeing how you hone it." Another guy, this one with a bird-like head said.

"You were hiding that under your shirt this whole time?" Hagakure added.

"Ah, well, you know ..." I said awkwardly as I put my hand up behind my head as I transformed back down to my normal form. I could feel myself blushing really brightly. Fortunately, Ocha came to my rescue.

"You did really good, Kai. I'm glad you realized that our class wouldn't judge you just because you have wings and horns." She said.

"Well, to be honest, I didn't realize that, I just got mad enough at Bakugo that I stopped caring. Though it is a relief that none of you called me a demon or anything like that." I said. At this, Kaminari broke out laughing.

"What, were you expecting us to all be scared and run to find the nearest priest?" He joked, but one look from me told him that I wasn't. "Oh, you're serious. Dude, your quirk looks awesome. Most of us were surprised when you shifted earlier because we were expecting something more from the guy that got 150 points on the entrance exam." He replied.

"To be fair, he got most of those points in his other form. He only used his winged form to take out the Zero Pointer." Ocha chimed in.

"Wait, you took out your test area's Zero-Pointer? That giant metal death machine taller than half the buildings around it?" He said. Before I could say anything to lessen that event, Iida piped up from behind him.

"It's true, I saw it with my own eyes. As soon as the robot trapped Miss Uraraka here, he leapt into action and slashed its neck right open before breathing a massive wave of fire to burn through the rest." Iida said. I thought our surrounding classmates were about to explode when they found out I basically did that alone. I could already feel my cheeks growing even hotter, but fortunately Aizawa came to my rescue this time to save me from more embarrassment.

"Alright, if you would all like to join me over here, I'll be sharing your class rankings." He said as he pulled up a holographic screen. Naturally we all rushed over to see where we stood. The rankings were as follows.

From 1st to 20th, it went: Yaoyorozu, Todoroki, Yagi, Bakugo, Iida, Tokoyami, Uraraka, Shoji, Ojiro, Kirishima, Ashido, Koda, Sato, Asui, Aoyama, Sero, Kaminari, Jiro, Hagakure, and finally, Mineta.

The poor little pervert was in tears as he saw he was in last place.

"No please, I just got here, I don't want to go home already! I haven't even found my first girlfriend, or had my first kiss! Please, don't make me leave!" He pleaded.

"Oh by the way, I was kidding earlier. None of you will be expelled, today." Aizawa said. Mineta immediately quit his grovelling and joined the rest of the class in saying, "WAIT, YOU LIED TO US?" Of course the Ocha, Iida and I were unsurprised, as well as the girl that came in first, Yaoyorozu. Note to self, don't underestimate her.

"It wasn't a lie, merely a rational deception to motivate you all." He said with that always creepy grin of his. "With that, I am done with you for today. You have your beginning of the year rankings. Feel free to go back to the classroom and talk amongst yourselves for the rest of the day, as long as you aren't too loud." He said as he began walking back to the room, with the class in tow.

Once we were all back in the classroom, we made our way back to our assigned seats. The usual chatter resumed, with me and Ocha talking to Iida. The conversation was kept pretty light, just reflecting back on the day and how we could've done a few things better. Both my new friend and my best friend were still a little disappointed that I waited so long to fully use my quirk (at least as far as Iida knew).

"I'm still confident that you could've taken second place had you applied yourself from the beginning." Iida said to me, while making a weird hand gesture in my direction.

"Oh, yeah totally. As strong as Kai is, he definitely could've taken first." Ocha agreed on my behalf.

"I'm not sure about that, did you see how Yaoyorozu was doing so well? On the grip test she used an actual vice grip and pulled and nearly broke the tester. I don't care how strong I am, I can't beat physics." I said. "That reminds me, I meant to ask about her quirk. Oh, and that pink girl, Ashido. I saw her creating a weird gray substance from her feet that let her slide across the ground and I'm curious what that was." I said, casting a glance at both of them as I talked about them.

"Why don't you then?" Ocha asked.

"Well, it is a little weird. After all, this is the first day of school and we just met both of them. I was never even properly introduced to either, so it would be kind of awkward to just walk up and just ask questions about their quirks." I said.

"Yeah, I guess you're right, that would be kind of weird. Ooh, I have an idea!" She said before standing up. "Hey, everyone! So since we all survived the first day, it looks like we'll be classmates for the year. Not all of us were really introduced to each other, so why don't we go around and say what our names and quirks are?" She said. Not everyone seemed keen on doing so, but fortunately Hagakure was into it so she started us off. She stood up and told everyone what most had already pieced together, but luckily her upbeat attitude seemed to get a few more into it. Before long enough people had prodded Kacchan into doing the same, though he did add a casual threat to the end of his. Eventually the line made its way all the way back to Ocha with everyone giving their name and at least some explanation of their quirk, and I had more than enough more than enough information to fill any quirk analyst's quota for the day.

"Well, now that we've all introduced ourselves, I think we all have a question for you two." Ashido said while looking at Ocha and I. "Are you two dating?" She asked. We both immediately turned beet red at this question, just because it was such an awkward thing to ask.

"No, it's like I said before, we're just friends. We have been since we were kids." I said, not daring to look at Ocha.

"Bummer, I was hoping there'd be something juicer to you two. But I think we all have one more question for you both. How exactly do you know our homeroom teacher?" She asked. I looked around and to my surprise found that nearly everyone had their eyes on us.

"Oh, uh, well my dad works as a secretary at a hero agency in Tokyo that's near Mr. Aizawa's, so they would work together occasionally. The hero that my dad works for stays pretty busy so Eraserhead, aka Mr. Aizawa, would often have to compare notes with Dad. Plus my quirk is pretty similar to his wife's, so they'd both come over every so often to help me train mine." I said. I had practiced this lie in my head everyday since Principal Nezu approved it, so I hoped it would go off without a hitch. Fortunately, she found something more interesting in my response to dig into than our past.

"Wait, Mr. Aizawa's married? I thought he'd be a total lone wolf. Who's he married to?" Ashido continued.

"This is starting to feel more like gossip, but since I already told you her quirk is like mine, I'll go ahead and tell you he's married to the Dragoon Hero, Ryukyu." I said, silently grateful she didn't ask anything else about me or Dad.

"Wait, as in the current number nine hero in Japan?" I heard someone ask.

"How'd they get together?" Ashido asked, with a bit more intensity this time.

"Yeah, I'm not answering that. Our homeroom teacher definitely wouldn't want me divulging too much of his private life to you guys." I said, much to her disappointment. I'm not gonna violate his privacy like that.

"Good choice. Just so we're clear, if you're tongue gets any looser about my personal life then I'll tell every embarrassing story I can about you starting with the second time you met Ryuko and I, understand?" I heard from our teacher's yellow cocoon. That, and he knows nearly every awkward detail of my life. I should've never asked for his autograph.

"Understood, sir." I replied. The only response I got was him resuming his snoring. Ashido looked at us once again, but as she opened her mouth to presumably ask more questions, the bell rang, signalling the end of our first day. Thank God, saved by the bell!

We all grabbed our respective bags and made for the door.

"Ocha, wait up!" I called forward.

"Sorry Kai, I don't want to keep Mom and Aunt Hana waiting!" She responded without looking back. That was weird, I guess I'm walking alone. So I did, I dodged Ashido by the door and ignored her questions until I made it outside, where I promptly lost her in the crowd and made my way over to where I was going to leave from.

...

Ochako POV

"Ocha, wait up!" I heard the current reason for my blush call out.

"Sorry Kai, I don't want to keep Mom and Aunt Hana waiting!" I called back as I was making my way out of the room. I didn't even look back at my best friend so he wouldn't see my blush. I can't believe she asked if me and Kai were dating! We're just best friends. Besides, Kai definitely doesn't feel that way about me. He definitely doesn't wake up thinking about me, wondering how I slept, or looking forward to us flying to school together. He certainly doesn't spend half of breakfast thinking my nice, chiselled abs, or my sweet dorky smile, or my beautiful green eyes, or - Woah woah woah, wait. Stop it Ochako! You shouldn't be thinking about your best friend like that! I would've continued this train of thought if I hadn't just bumped into someone.

"Excuse you." The upperclassman said.

"Sorry!" I responded. Focus Ochako! You need to stop thinking about Kai and pay attention to where you're walking! I thought to myself. I did manage to get out to the front gate in one piece. Eventually I found where Aunt Hana's car was parked and got it without a word.

"Hi, dear! Did you have a good first day?" Aunt Hana asked me.

"Yeah, it was pretty good. Mr. Aizawa made us do a quirk test to see if we had potential. I placed seventh in the class." I said quietly.

"Ah, well that's no surprise. You and Mr. Yagi have both worked very hard over the years to make sure you were ready for UA." She said.

"Yeah, he actually got third in the class, and that was mostly without his quirk. But when he did finally use it, it was amazing! He stood his ground against a bully and managed to throw a softball for 1100 meters!" I told her. He looked amazing out there!

"Did he now? I bet he did it because he was showing off in front of you." She said as she started the car.

"Why would he want to show off in front of me? I've seen him use his quirk plenty of times before." I said, confused as to why she would say that.

"Oh, I don't know. Boys are weird, especially when they're around someone they like." She said in a singsong tone. At this my blush came back with a vengeance.

"I already told you, Kai doesn't like me like that, we're just friends." I retorted.

"Whatever you say, my dear." She said in that same tone. After that the conversation died a little. She kept asking questions, but I was busy in my own head.

There's no way Kai, likes me like that, right? Not that I like him like that either! We're just friends. Oh, who am I kidding? No matter how many times I tell myself that I don't like him, it doesn't make it any less true. I've hardly been able to talk to him for the last three days, ever since he saved me at the mall. Ever he sprang into action to protect me, I've barely been able to keep him out of my head, or to have a thought without it connecting back to him somehow. Way to go, Ochako, you've started falling for your hero, who just so happens to be your best friend, in high school no less! Can you get more cliche? Still, it's not like you haven't been attracted to him for a while now, at least physically. Feeling all those muscles leading up to that gorgeous face on the way to school, and after all that training he did with his dad this past year he's even more toned, you can hardly look at him without blushing.

But still, even if I am falling for him, I can't tell him! That might ruin our friendship if he doesn't feel the same way. I'll be crushed if he rejects me and starts hanging out with new friends that don't have a huge crush on him instead. Even if he does like me back, right now he's focused on becoming a hero, and so am I! Neither of us can afford this kind of distraction! Besides, he doesn't even know about my bad side, or the real reason I live with Aunt Hana. I'll have to tell him eventually, but I'm sure once he finds out he won't like me like that.

I'll just have to keep looking at that perfect face of his without telling him what I'm thinking. Uggh, this year is going to be so hard!

With that train of thought coming to a depressing end, I spent the rest of the car ride and the night following it pouting.

Author's Notes

Woo, I finally got another chapter done! I've got to be honest here, I could've had this chapter out sooner but A) I started a new tamer on BDO and level grinding is time consuming, B) Life and other stuff kind broke my motivation for a little bit, and C) Blue Exorcist and Attack on Titan are both very addictive and very bingeable. But enough with excuses, let's get into this chapter a little bit.

We finally got into the first day at UA and our favorite greenete finally got to let out his inner awkwardness. I really thought about just letting him throw his worries out the window and go into his second form from the start, but I decided to go this route instead as I felt it was more satisfying in the end for all parties, plus I loved writing Bakugo's parts in that. I know the dynamic between him and Bakugo is a little weird right now, but I wrote and rewrote that a hundred times and it never seemed quite right. I do have another interaction with them planned out that'll hopefully smooth out some of Izuku's thoughts about his former friend, so just bear with me for now.

As for the next chapter, I plan on getting through the first battle training where the interactions between Izuku, Ocha, and All Might will be even more beautifully awkward. I'm not sure how far the chapter will go, but I do plan on introducing at least two of the sins within the chapter or two. On a side note, if anyone wants to drop their guesses for who will get what sin, I'd be curious to see who you all will think. I'm 95% set in stone with the sins, but if you want I'll respond and tell you how many you got right.

As far as that other story that I mentioned in my last chapter, I did start the first chapter on that and I'll probably post it some time in the near future, but I've a few other ideas that I might toy around with. I have the basic path that I want the Izuku x Melissa story to take, but right now I'm kind of stuck on how I want to proceed with one or two things. Once I can get the proverbial ball rolling on that then we should be good to go with that one.

One last thing I wanted to mention is that I probably will be making that power sheet that I've been talking about for a few chapters now. I would type it up right now, but at this exact moment I have to be awake for work in about 6 hours, and more importantly I have a cat at my door complaining that nobody is paying attention to him, so these two things are taking precedence.

That's all from me for now, I don't know when exactly the next chapter will be out but I don't think it will be too long, I'm excited to write it.

Peace.
