Chapter Nine

Noah was just glad to be here with his adopted mother that he adores a great deal. He climbed up onto her bed with the neighbors trying to stop him from hurting Olivia Benson.

"It's ok. I will be fine the both of you. I just need to give my son a quick hug." She will have said with a slight grimace. Otherwise she was really tough at times for when it comes to her pain.

"Mommy when are you going to be getting out of here?" He wanted to know the answer for himself with missing her and looking over at the roses. "I hope you don't mind me asking Mommy on who gave you the beautiful roses and no doubt the card?"

"I don't know if you ever remember me saying that I had a partner early on with Elliot Stabler working with me until he left?" She made mention to the boy.

"So he's back now mommy?" He stepped down from the edge of the bed to say with sitting down next to the two neighbors.

"Yes, he's back to work at another precinct. He might be taking over another division. I won't know for sure until he gets the clearance." She said with the shake of her head and needing a drink of cold water from the pitcher filled with ice. "Noah I need to talk with another time when I am out of here and explain something."

"Mommy about the birds and the bees?" She was slightly blushing after the words from his mouth since he was picking up her vibes about this man Elliot Stabler.

"Somewhat Noah. But for now I am just glad you're here visiting." It was at this time that her doctor came in to check on his patient again with the students. "Noah, you will have to leave now. My doctor and his friends are here again to check me. Please take care of yourself and make sure to do your studies." As she looked over at the two neighbors getting the hint to leave.

"Come on Noah, the good doctor has take care of your mother and get her well for the most part." She will have to say with a slight smirk with taking Noah's hand to leave...

After Elliot had checked in with his supervisor at work. He was able to leave again with taking the week off. He was told that his new position will be taking place within the next few weeks making more money to help with his cause...

Walking outside into the crisp fresh air and looking for his vehicle inside the underground parking lot. Afterwards he was going to be heading for the Evergreen Jewelry store in the Bronx to buy both an engagement and wedding ring for Olivia size eight.

He had checked his savings account to have enough to get both and them some. However he could of use one of three credit cards to charge the rings.

He was very anxious to get there in order to give the engagement ring to Olivia this evening. This is if she will accept it." The traffic was murder taking the main road to get to the area of the jewelry store opened up at six o'clock in the morning and closes at nine o'clock in the evening.

Taking almost an hour to reach his destination and with finding a decent parking spot. He took the elevator up to the sixth floor with no one inside. The elevator was taking forever to reach the floor when finally it opened with the corridor filled with clients. He headed for the main room with a friend of his Manny Trillo to take care of him. He's know Manny for when he had married his first wife many years ago and was able to give him a discount to fit his budget.

Manny age 61 was behind the display table of different engagement and wedding diamond rings. He was currently finishing up with another customer when he notices his friend.

"Elliot it's good to be meeting up with you once again. I understand you're looking for an engagement and wedding ring? Whose the lucky lady my friend?"

"I am Manny, and the lucky lady is my ex partner Olivia Benson. I had left the precinct years ago due to physical and mental issues. However I was able to work out of them recently. I plan on asking her to marry me for the rest of our lives."

"Wonderful! I have something that will fit your budget and I will give you a great price on both. Please come this way to the larger display case Elliot." He will have said with a smile on his face that his friend was going to be happy with the choices.

After being shown some beautiful diamonds and sapphire engagement and wedding rings. He was able to settle with two great choices of Emeralds for both and the right sizes and price totally $6,000 combined. He was able to his his debit on $5,000 and the last $1,000 plus tax and tip using his Visa credit card.

He asked Manny to have them both gift wrapped with placing notes on both so that he doesn't get them mixed up with the two. After getting the receipts from Manny and handing him $40.00 extra for an additional tip for which Manny really didn't wish to accept. But he took it and placed the cash into his pocket. And besides Manny commission was going to be large with his customer and friend purchasing both the rings combined.

Meanwhile Elliot was feeling hungry and thirsty so he decided to drive across the street to the Burger king needing two cheeseburgers, fries and a milkshake using the credit card to pay for it. Once he had received his order with sitting down at a table alone. He was listening to the music coming out of the speakers. As his mind wonder to the early days.
