Chapter 8
After leaving the believed god's side, Jorn notices something protruding from Indy's satchel. Unable to help himself, the Norwegian flips the well loved bag's flap over. "Are these what I think they are? Jarngeir? The Iron Grippers of Thor?"
Loki rolls his eyes at the mention of the witless oaf. "They are." He confirms in vexation.
"Have you come to collect them for him?" Jorn's excitement notice-fully grows. "Will we be meeting the god of thunder as well? I have so many questions for both of you. If you are willing of course."
"No. they belong in a museum. And what happened to your belief of me hiring you to dig?" Indy questions while putting on his fedora.
The bear of a man places his hands on his waist. "I still believe that. However, I also believe in respecting a god when you meet one." He removes his hands fro his waist while returning to his book. "If you're thinking I will fear to dig. You are mistaken. Unlike those hired men from yesterday, I am not afraid of what awaits us in the temple." Jorn answers the hears Loki laugh.
"What's so funny?" The archaeologist questions not liking how his day is starting.
"The way you two prone on. Truly, you act as though I care of anything that becomes of anything in that dirty old temple." He chuckles. "But to answer your question..." The trickster points to Jorn. "No. You won't be meeting my brother. Sorry to disappoint you" Loki relies only lying about being sorry.
Bored-ed by the conversation, Indy chimes in. "Then what the hell do you care about then?" Hearing his friend's words, the dirty blonde goes to plead to the believed god but is stopped by the wave of a hand.
"Returning home. I do have things I must attend to." He points his finger in the air. "And no. The Bifrost won't work. I don't need to go to you presence's Asgard."
"And how exactly do we get you home?" Indy skeptically enquirers.
"The Tesseract and the Eye of Augamoto." The sorcerer smugly says while crossing his arms.
"The Tesseract. No one even knows if that's real or myth." Jones replies sounding every ounce the professor.
"That is true of the Tesseract. Man has sought after it for ages. But what is this Eye of Augamoto?" The Norwegian wonders.
"A powerful, magical tool. And I can sense its presence."
