A heavy sigh left his lips as he wore a light sweater as he headed back to his new apartment. The last five months were hectic for the male, having to deal with his work, college, and that along getting to be able to adopt Tenko.

At the mere age of twenty-three, Kageyama was already a father. To an eleven-year-old no less. Despite it all, he held no regrets for his actions. He was glad to be able to have to boy safe, along with how easily Tenko had started addressing him to being an actual parent figure. He chuckled as he walked into the apartment, taking off his shoes and putting on the house slippers.

"Tenko, I'm Back-"

"Dad!/Brother!"

Shigeo was instantly caught in surprise to see his younger brother Ritsu. That, along with Keigo as well, he smiles at them all as he walked towards them.

"Ritsu, Keigo, this is a pleasant surprise to see you here-"

"Why didn't you tell me you adopted a kid?! Do mom and dad even know about this? You're still in college and considering that you have a job-"

"Ritsu, calm down, I know this is a surprise. I'll explain it to you later. Keigo knows about it. I'm sure he did already told you about some of the details. But, I'll go more into it after we all eat."

"..."

The younger nodded as he helped his brother in preparing the food, while the two children played with some of the figures they had. The hours slowly passed by as they chatted, wanting to catch up in some of the events that occurred in their life. Once the children fell asleep, Shigeo went into details, the events that occurred the past few months to his brother.

Ritsu stared at his brother in bewilderment as he took time to progress all that occurred. An exasperated trembling exhale left his lips, he looked at his older brother with half haggard expression.

"You have been busy with this year, brother."

"Many were spur at the moment plans. Still, I'm glad for what has occurred some of them so far."

"Are you going to surprise them when you go see them this Christmas?"

"Of course, they've rested enough after so long, why not bring in something interesting?"

He laughed and shook his head, hearing Shigeo's antics. He gave a small smirk and chuckled.

"I'll play along. I'm curious to see how the reaction will be."

The two laughed and talked for some more before getting a few beers and enjoying the beverage. By the time it was morning. Shigeo woke up the two children, telling them to get dressed, leaving a bottle of water for his brother, and preparing breakfast. He was in his usual attire for his work, Wearing a white button-up shirt, black dress pants, and formal black shoes.

He was glad he knew how to even dress this way thanks to his master, always wearing suits. He placed the food on the table and sat down, enjoying the early morning meal. Tenko and Keigo rushed, fully dressed for the day, to join the male for breakfast. He dropped off tenko for his first day of school, it was already the second term, but he hoped the boy got along with his classmates.

Tenko turned, he smiles, waving to the two with his gloved hand. Before rushing to his homeroom teacher and following her inside to his class. They waved back before heading to the HPSC. He looked at the solemn expression Keigo wore as they walked.

"Do you miss going to school?"

"Yeah... I don't talk to a lot of people other than the people here, you, Tenko, and your brother."

"Is that so? Well, I'll talk to Mera-san about letting you attend Junior High."

"Really? I-I would like that, thank you."

Kageyama smiles as he saw Keigo look away as his small wing wrapped around his body. Yet, it was obvious the boy's reactions from seeing his ears turning red. He directed him to meet with his tutor as he went to talk to Mera.

"Mera, I wanted to talk to you-"

"Perfect did I too. follow me, for we can talk more comfortably."

Shigeo was stunned for a few seconds before he followed behind the older male with ease. Reaching a waiting room, they both sat down opposites of each other. The male was stiffened, waiting for what he needed to talk to him.

"I heard you adopted a boy. Shimura Tenko, was it?"

His eyes widened for a few seconds as he dug his nails into his palms. He relaxed and looked at Mera.

"Yes, I did recently adopt him. What does he have to do with this conversation if I may ask?"

"The president is interested in having him become a hero. He can influence the younger generation if he successfully reaches the top ten rankings. With such a prominent Quirk at that as well."

Shigeo closes his eyes, counting down to calm himself. Once he reached one, he opened his eyes again, smiling to the older male.

"I'm sorry, but I have no intention of allowing Tenko to do such a profession, especially at such an early age to be deciding that."

"You know, we aren't asking. It's more of a command from our president, remember that. Or shall we remove your time with Keigo?"

"Don't fucking involve him in this, he's just a child."

"Yes, but also the main reason why you even decided to work with us."

Shigeo closes his eyes to calm himself. He didn't want to end up accidentally using his powers. He still was far from controlling it well. He scowled as he looked at the constantly tired male.

"I'll quit this fucking job and find a way to sue you if I have to. Don't ever drag my son into this. If he wishes to go to a hero school then, so be it. But I won't allow you to make him into a puppet. I can't save Keigo as much as I wish, yet, I won't allow your plans to go perfect either."

A confident smirk rose to his lips. Mera was lowering. He stood up and left the area the two where before he went to his usual cubicle, his feet dragging slightly behind him as his hands trembled. Collapsing to his seat, he gripped his hair and exhaled.

He mentally was cursing to himself over and over again. How idiotic was he to think that they wouldn't to something like this? Bitting his trembling bottom lips, he gasped out as he stared off. Would they try to gin custody over Tenko? They certainly had enough influence around places. There was that possibility.

Kageyama cared for the boy's too much. Both of them were attached and dependent on him likewise for him to them. He slammed his hand on the table, leaving a dent as he had unconsciously lost control of his powers for that small moment. Stammered sobs left his lips as he slightly curled up in a ball.

He stayed for that state for several minutes, a light glow around his body. Soft whimpering and heavy exhales to catch his breath. He slowly stood up and wipes his tears, his eyes swollen and reddened. His body was still trembling as he headed to walk where Keigo was.

The cheerful boy rushed over to him, a bright smile in their lips, immediately dropping, noticing the tear stains on his face.

"Shigeo? Are you okay? Why are you crying?"

Keigo pulled his arm down as the older obliged and kneeled. The boy reached his hand out and wiping the still moistened cheeks.

"I'm sorry I just heard something that had shaken me up."

"Can you tell me? Please, I don't like it seeing you crying."

"Maybe another time, I don't think I can talk about it."

The boy nodded, wrapping his arms around Kageyama. The older male smiled and returned the hug, petting the ash-blond hair.

"I'm glad to have a little brother like you, Keigo."
