Brightclaw237: Hey everyone, sorry I haven't updated in the past few months. A lot of personal problems have happened. One of which was losing a family member to COVID in September. I had COVID as well during that time, because I lived in the same house as that relative. Though I was one of the few who had no symptoms of the virus. Any one of the four of us could have contracted it, but we will never know who. Even if I knew who it was, I would not blame them. So please everyone, please follow the rules and keep your distance.

"Relic Hotel, looks like I won't have to worry about living conditions anymore." I say, walking towards where Rosie said.

"Took you long enough, lover boy." An annoyed sigh comes from above.

"Huh?" I ask, looking up to see Brightclaw on the back of a winged vivosaur.

"I've been looking all over for you, Hunter. It's not easy to find your scent with all this salt water in the air." She growls, wrinkling her nose in disgust as the vivosaur lands.

"Whoa, is this your vivosaur, Brightclaw?!" I ask.

"Yes, and it's time to head to our hotel room. I'm too exhausted to explain everything." She growls in a tired voice, nearly falling off the vivosaur as she tries to slide down its wing. The vivosaur returns to medal form, and Brightclaw places it in her vest pocket. I can see that she's struggling to stay awake. Her eyes keep drooping as she staggers around, her tail dragging behind her on the ground.

"You should let me carry you, Bright. You're way too tired to keep going." I say, reaching out to try and pick up the exhausted not-dog. Brightclaw growls, snapping her teeth at my hands as a warning before walking ahead.

I let out a sigh and try again. "Brightclaw, just let me help you. You're practically asleep on your paws."

Brightclaw stiffens for a moment, her shoulders slumping as she mutters something under her breath. Brightclaw grunts, staggering forward. "Let's get going, come on lover boy."

"What?!" I exclaim, surprised by her words.

Brightclaw barely manages to roll her eyes at me. "You heard me, lover boy. You have a crush on that kittypet twoleg that nearly killed you." Brightclaw spats, dragging out the last words.

I feel my face heat up at the words crush. "I don't have a crush, you really must be tired, Brightclaw!" I laugh, rubbing the back of my head with my hand. Brightclaw's says nothing but keeps moving ahead with a lazy glare.

'Tired yes, but she is not foolish, Hunter. You do have feelings for someone.' Slash tells me.

We finally make it to a huge hotel located a block from the Fossil Center. By the time we reach the lobby, its almost two in the morning. Brightclaw can hardly keep her eyes open as we walk up to the reception desk. A man in his mid-thirties walks up to us. "Are you Hunter Kaze?" He asks.

"Y-yes, why do you ask?" I stutter, wondering how this person knows my name.

"I am the manager of the Relic Hotel, Mr. Relic. Captian Travers of the S. S. Shoni had your bags delivered to the hotel." He explains, handing me a large suit case.

I freak out at what he says. "Wait they were where?!"

"It appears that they were left at the dock after a dino medal was activated." Mr. Relic says.

'Oh no, I completely forgot about my stuff!'I realize, looking at the suitcase. Brightclaw glares at me, weakly slapping me with her tail for my negligence. "Thank you for keeping my belongings safe, sir. Are there any rooms available?" I ask.

"Yes, you both may have a room that are to your liking." The manager says.

"Wait, you have a room for Brightclaw?" I ask, surprised that they would arrange a room for my canine companion.

"Yes, Dr. Diggins stopped by earlier and requested that our staff should see to your needs. Your room is first door on the second floor of the right elevator." The man says. "Your friend's room is the third door on the second floor of the left elevator." He says.

"Okaaaaaaaay then, see yaa in the mor...nin...Hu..ter." Brightclaw yawns, dragging her tail across the lobby floor as she heads to the left elevator. Her claws scraping against the tile floor, creating a disturbing noise with each dragged pawstep.

I turn to thank Mr. Relic. "Thank you so much sir." I grab my stuff after watching the tired canine disappear behind the elevator doors, and head to the other one. I press the second floor button and wait to reach my floor. When the doors opens, I pull my suitcase behind me as I pull up to the first door.

I look at the door with a sense of uneasiness. This'll be the first time Brightclaw and I won't be sharing a room. The two of us are like siblings, we haven't been apart that much since we first met. She may act cold, but deep down Brightclaw has a big heart. 'Don't worry you have me with you, Hunter.' Slash growls.

'That's right, I have you by my side, Slash. In the morning we'll head over to the first dig site!' I grab the door handle and walk inside the room. The first thing I see when entering the room is the bed. Without a second thought, I run towards the bed and leap onto it. I bury my face into the soft blankets and pillows, my conciseness slipping away as I drift into slumber.

Brightclaw237: See ya everybody.
