A/N: Oh my gods, we're on Day 11 now. One day left... Well, this one is actually Christmas-themed because it's Christmas Eve...so yeah, fluff. Also, this is the one that will have a song worked into it, which is the title: "Little Drumemr Boy." The version I'm using is the Pentatonix a capella cover of it because in my opinion that is the best version. Also, I threw an android Gideon in there, because why not, and as many Legends as possible, with no regard to who's actually dead in the canon (OG Zari - Zari 2.0 is just annoying).

Disclaimer: If I owned LoT, Len wouldn't be dead and Captain Canary would have been more than casual flirting and one kiss. So basically no, it's not mine.

Day 11: Little Drummer Boy

Leonard had never liked Christmas. Holidays were a joke in his family. He's tried to spend most of them making his sister happy, but their father always ruined it eventually. Though ocassionally Leonard would steal a Christmas gift for his mother and he tried to every year for Lisa, he hardly ever got anything in return, mostly because Lisa hadn't started stealing until after Leonard had been in and out of prison multiple times and had forgotten his tradition.

So he wasn't exactly full of holiday spirit when Sara showed up at his door and all but dragged him out with the rest of the team to find Christmas gifts for everyone.

Sara insisted it would be fun. Leonard wasn't so sure, but he went with it anyway, mostly because he didn't feel like arguing with her - well, that and the fact that she hadn't let go of his wrist. He both enjoyed the feeling far more than he should and really wanted her to let him go. She had no intention of doing so, apparently.

They had landed in 1893, in Paris. Leonard had to roll his eyes at the sheer absurdity of all the French people running around frantically Christmas shopping, much as they were doing. Lisa had always been fascinated by Paris and had always wanted to come, though Leonard couldn't see why until he saw the Eiffel Tower and even he had to admit he was impressed.

They split into pairs: Mick went with Ray, which may not have been a good combination; Nate and Amaya went off together; Jax and Martin, naturally; Rip and the android that Jax and Ray had built to serve as a body for Gideon; Constantine had dragged a half-reluctant and half-excited Charlie with him; Ava had semi-reluctantly paired off with Zari; Wally went with Kendra, who seemed amused to have the young speedster with her; a nervous-looking Gary went with Mona; Behrad paired himself with Nora, which the latter didn't look too thrilled about; which meant Leonard was stuck with Sara, a fact that he didn't entirely mind.

"We don't get to steal anything, do we?" asked Leonard.

"Nope," Sara told him. "I had Gideon fabricate us all the French euros."

Leonard nodded. They hit a few shops before Sara spied something across the square and left Leonard at a jewelry stand (not the best place to leave an experienced thief). Leonard decided to be good this time and not steal anything, though he did browse a bit. With Sara out of the way for the moment, he could look for something for her...

And he found it. He hailed the man running the stand and, in perfect French due to the vocabulators they'd all swallowed, asked him how much. The price was ridiculous, but Leonard managed to talk the man down, and just because he couldn't resist, stole the man's wallet as well. There went that resolution.

He'd just finished carefully hiding the gift for Sara away in his jacket pocket when the Canary returned, something in her hands. Leonard raised an eyebrow at her and she showed him what it was: a gold brooch with a diamond in the center, extremely beautiful.

"This is for...?" Leonard asked.

"I thought for your sister," Sara admitted. "Since she likes gold so much, and I remember you mentioning at some point that she was obsessed with Paris when she was younger, so..."

Leonard was a little surprised. Had he mentioned that out loud?

Sara answered his unspoken question. "You mentioned it while we were playing gin a few days ago."

Ah. That explained it. Leonard took the brooch, surprised by the weight of it. "This is real gold," he marveled.

"Yep," Sara confirmed.

Leonard glanced at her. "Thanks. Lisa's going to love this."

Sara smiled a little, and they continued on.

They stopped off in 2020 very briefly for Leonard to drop off Lisa's gift at her doorstep, with a note reading:

Lisa,
This is real gold, from Paris 1893.
Give the credit to Sara Lance, she got it with you in mind.
I know I haven't done this in years, but Merry Christmas, sis.
Your brother, Len

After he ding-dong-ditched his own sister (he had to get back to the Waverider, as much as he'd like to have seen his sister again), the rest of the day on the Waverider in the time stream was rather frantic. They had all retreated into their rooms with wrapping paper Ray had dashed out and bought before they left 2016, and those who had finished wrapping were busy helping Gideon, who was workng overtime fabricating the decorations. They briefly stopped again, this time in 1968, to pick up actual food for Christmas dinner; and then they were back in the time stream, with the Waverider completely decorated and an all-around festive mood.

Even Leonard had been roped into the whole "Christmas spirit" thing. He blamed Sara and Ray for that; they'd started singing Christmas carols quite loudy earlier and the mood had spread until everyone on the Waverider, even Leonard and Mick, were singing along. Gideon even added her voice to the mix at one point while they worked, and throughout the whole night seemed amazed at being included as part of the family.

Christmas dinner was rather uneventful, though the conversation was loud and there was a warm, cozy atmosphere of family that Leonard had never really experienced before in the air. It was after dinner that things got interesting.

Present-opening was of course eventful, and it was quite amusing to watch the others' reactions. When it became apparent that Leonard had his own presents (Sara had sorted through them and was piling them in front of each person they were for), even he had to give in to the infectious mood and laugh with the rest of them.

After that came the eggnog and, because the Legends were strange that way, the dancing. Nate pulled Amaya onto the floor first as Gideon used her connection to the rest of the ship to put on Christmas music, followed shortly by Mick and Ray (though Mick looked rather reluctant). Rip somewhat shyly offered Gidoen his hand, which she accepted in a heartbeat; Constantine spun a flustered Charlie out onto the floor; Wally, acting like a gentleman, offered his hand to Zari, who laughed and accepted (mostly just to have someone to dance with); Ava, Gary, Jax, Stein, and Mona danced on their own, not having partners; Nora, who had apparently decided she liked Behrad, was now dancing with him; and Leonard once more found himself with Sara.

"Hi again," Sara grinned.

"Hello, you," Leonard chuckled. "We seem to keep running into each other today."

"Yeah, well, it's Christmas and there aren't that many of us," Sara pointed out. Then she grinned. "You wanna dance, Leonard?"

Leonard was reminded quite forcefully of the bar in 1975, the first time she'd asked him to dance, when he'd brushed off the invitation. He wasn't about to make the same mistake twice, so he said, "I suppose so."

A song that Sara's face lit up at came on - "Little Drummer Boy," the a capella Pentatonix cover. Leonard looked at her curiously, though he had to admit he liked that one too. Sara just rolled her eyes at him, and they began to dance.

"Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm, ahh -

Come, they told me
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
A newborn King to see
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
Our finest gifts we bring
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
To lay before the King
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum
Rum-pum-pum-pum
Rum-pum-pum-pum...

So to honor Him
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
When we come...

Pum-pum-pum-pum
Pa-rum-pum-pum
Pum-pum-pum-pum
Pa-rum-pum-pum
Pum-pum-pum-pum
Pa-rum-pum-pum
Pum-pum-pum-pum
Pa-rum-pum-pum -"

Leonard couldn't help being mesmerized as Sara spun herself around him. She was really an excellent dancer, and the fact that she was wearing a stunning white-and-icy-blue dress only added to her beauty (Amaya had gotten dressed up too; actually they all had, even Mick). Leonard watched her throughout their whole dance, not even glancing away when Mick and Ray danced past, which normally would have drawn his attention, as Mick was an inexperienced dancer. Sara had captivated his attention.

"Little baby
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
I am a poor boy too
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
I have no gift to bring
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
That's fit to give our King
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum
Rum-pum-pum-pum
Rum-pum-pum-pum...

Shall I play for you?
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
Pa-rum-pum-pum

Pum-pum-pum-pum, ahh -"

Sara began to sing now, her voice rising above the music. No one stopped dancing, but Leonard knew they were all listening. How could they not be? Sara's singing voice was as beautiful as she was.

"Mary nodded
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
The ox and lamb kept time
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
I played my drum for Him
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...
I played my best for Him
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum
Rum-pum-pum-pum
Rum-pum-pum-pum...

Then He smiled at me
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...!
Me and my drum...!

Pum-pum-pum-pum
Pa-rum-pum-pum
Ohh...
Pum-pum-pum-pum, ahh -

Oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh

Oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh

Oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh!

Come, they told me
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...!
A newborn King to see
Pa-rum-pum-pum-pum...!
Me and my drum...!
Me and my drum...
Me and my drum...!
Me and my drum...!
Rum-pum-pum-pum...

Ooh...ooh ooh...
Ooh...ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh, ahh -!"

The song ended and changed, and Leonard left the dance floor, though most of the others stayed out. Even Mick, which Leonard was rather surprised about. Martin left the floor, and Wally moved away too, leaving Ava to dance with Zari, who suddenly found herself partnerless. Jax kept going on his own, as did Sara, taking over the dance floor as "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from The Nutcracker came on.

Leonard wandered to the makeshift bar and found a scotch, then leaned against the counter and surveyed the room - or more accurately, the people in the room.

Constantine was still dancing with Charlie, who looked a bit flustered but also like she was having fun; Constantine had even changed out of his usual trench coat for the occasion. Ava's dress was, as expected, dark blue (which Leonard appreciated, though he didn't like the woman much), and looked about as proper as a dress could be, though she did look like she was enjoying herself. Zari's totem gleamed at her throat, and her dress matched its shade; Amaya's outfit was much the same, a shimmering gold dress that matched the totem around her neck. Kendra's dress was layered in shades of black and gold alternately, and she wore her bracelet from a past life (which they'd gone back and stolen from the timeline again). Nora wore a layered dress in shades of purple, red, and blue, a color scheme that went surprisingly well together. Nate, Ray, Jax, Wally, Gary, and even Behrad had all donned suits of varying calibur, and Martin looked as formal as ever. Rip had changed into a suit as well, while Gideon wore what was probably a borrowed dress, most likely from Sara or Amaya (as it was black). Mick was also in a suit, a rare sight, though he'd shed the tuxedo jacket; Leonard himself was in a dark blue suit, the blazer open over his usual T-shirt. And Sara, of course, was dazzling in her white-and-blue dress.

The blue, Leonard noticed now, was the same shade as his eyes.

Leonard wandered the room. Once "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" ended, Sara made her way over to him yet again and stole the scotch out of his hand.

"I was drinking that," Leonard protested mildly.

"You can have it back," Sara replied. "After I'm done."

Leonard smirked. He knew how much she could drink and stay sober (though that may have been a side effect of the Lazarus pit), and also knew he probably needed to go get another scotch. He wasn't going to get that one back anytime soon.

"You're an excellent dancer," Leonard commented.

"You're not so bad yourself," Sara replied. "I thought you didn't dance."

"Not normally, but just because I don't like to doesn't mean I can't," Leonard told her.

"Fair point," Sara shrugged.

"You think Lisa liked the brooch?" asked Leonard.

Sara smirked at him. "I don't know, she's your sister."

Leonard glared at her. Sara laughed.

"I have something for you," she said.

Leonard raised an eyebrow as Sara puled something out from one of her various hidden pockets and handed it to him. Leonard accepted it and opened the small box to find a diamond pin in the shape of a snowflake.

"Wow," Leonard breathed.

"Merry Christmas, Cold," Sara teased.

Leonard smiled at her, then pinned the snowflake to his blazer. Sara smiled at him, and he remembered his own gift.

"Oh, wait, I almost forgot," Leonard said, and produced a small box from inside the blazer. "I wanted to give you this away from everyone else."

Sara gave him a slightly confused look, opened the box, and gasped.

The gift Leonard had gotten her was a silver necklace with a pearl charm in the shape of a canary. The rim of the charm was black metal.

"It's beautiful," Sara breathed.

"Merry Christmas," Leonard teased. "Canary."

"Help me put it on?" Sara asked.

Leonard nodded. Sara turned around and Leonard set the necklace against her throat, then clasped it with quick fingers. Sara turned around, and Leonard's breath caught in his throat.

"You look beautiful," Leonard said before he could stop himself. He mentally berated himself immediately afterward.

But Sara smiled. "You don't look half bad, either, Leonard." The smile turned into a smirk. "You'd probably look even better with that shirt out of the way."

I will not blush, Leonard scolded himself firmly. "Are you trying to seduce me, Sara Lance?" Leonard asked.

"Am I?" Sara grinned.

Leonard raised an eyebrow pointedly at her. She sighed. "You're no fun," she grumbled. "Yes, I am."

"It's working," Leonard said, and kissed her, not caring who was watching.

Apparently it was everyone, and everybody cheered.

See, even the other Legends ship it! That was a long one this time, wow. Anyway...tomorrow is Day 12...the last day of Captain Canary (for now)... Anyway, hope you enjoyed, please leave reviews!
