Applepaws point of view
Applepaw sat with her sister Woodpaw Applepaw was itching with anticipation to attend the gathering well Woodpaw was her usual eccentric and judgmental self.
It had been half a moon since the border skirmish with ThunderClan Applepaw had been the talk among the apprentices for how courageous she had fought against Finchpaw she loved to replay the image of the tortoiseshell apprentice running away back into the dark creepy woods with her tail between her legs the image helped her get through the long monotonous days where nothing exciting happened.
Larkwing had moved into the nursery half a moon ago expecting Crouchfoots kits and Crouchfoot had been over the moon about it refusing to addend the gathering. Applepaw couldn't under stand why anyone would want to stay in camp over something like that ya sure Larkwing was his mate but she wouldn't kit for about one and a half moons.
Whistlepaw was now i full medicine cat apprentice and seemed like she was much happier working with herbs fittingly the gray tabby she cat often whistled to herself while she was working
Applepaw had been a apprentice for around two moons and she had grown a lot larger and was resembling her father Breezepelt and older sister Smokehaze, Woodpaw had grown a lot more lithe and more resembled Heathertail and Brindlewing.
" WindClan its time for us to depart!" Harestar's yowl rang out from the clearing Applepaw set of for the gathering along side Brindlewing.
Applepaw padded through the field of heather as the island came into view the lake around it had frozen over but was still to thin to walk on a slit wind was blowing ruffling the heather the sky was clear and silverpelt could clearly be seen above Applepaws head
" I cant wait to see how those mangy ThunderClan cats react when we show up" Applepaw chuckled " There all gonna be so scared of the big bad WindClan turns up to the gathering"
The yellow tabby apprentice carefully padded across the fallen log bridge jumping off when she reached the end of the bridge to the island
The other four clans where already there Woodpaw bounded of to mingle with the RiverClan apprentices well Whistlepaw, Songpaw, and Flutterpaw where chatting amongst themselves
" Hey Applepaw its you" Applepaw looked up to see the small golden tabby pelt of Wrenpaw the SkyClan apprentice that she had met at her first gathering coming towards her.
" Hello Wrenpaw how have you been?" Applepaw asked the younger SkyClan apprentice, " things are going great three nights ago the apprentices den collapsed under the snow."
" Really that's cool and all but you will never guess what i did" Applepaw smirked " We where attacked by a ThunderClan patrol"
" What really that's amazing" Wrenpaws amber eyes lit up with amazement " What happened"
" Well obviously WindClan kicked the living day light out of them that Finchpaw of ThunderClan was no match for me"
Wrenpaws amber gaze darted from side to side as if she was looking for something " Oh uh that's cool i guess uh i got uh go Rootpaw and Needlepaw are probably looking for me" The golden tabby apprentice stalked of to join the SkyClan apprentices " Al see you around" Wrenpaw turned to Applepaw and said before disappearing into the crowed.
" Whats her problem" Applepaw thought to herself Wrenpaw was probably friends with Finchpaw and her comment had offended her" Well why should i care" Applepaw said out loud " Who cares if she likes a ThunderClan cat"

" Cats of all five clans let the gathering begin"
Finchpaws point of view
" I really don't want to be here i really don't want to be here" Finchpaw thought to herself she didn't even want to go to the gathering but Baypaw, Myrtlepaw, and Flamepaw where all attending the gathering so she felt obligated to go even if she didn't want to.
The tortoiseshell apprentice sat beside Myrtlepaw her tucked down in shame she knew that all the other apprentices knew about her being beaten by Applepaw in the border skirmish since the WindClan apprentice wouldn't stop talking about it hearing the whispers and gossip between the apprentices stung Finchpaws pride like a angry bee.
Baypaw seemed to note care about the gossip he was casually talking with Myrtlepaw Flamepaw seemed a bit nervous his green eyes darting from side to side to make sure no one was watching him as he chatted with Splashpaw and Fogpaw before the gathering began.
" I will report first" Mistystar yowled " The river has frozen over and we've had to hunt are land pray exclusively that is all" Tigerstar stepped forward. " The pray has been running well in Shadowclan that is all." The next leader to step forward was Leafstar " The pray is running well in SkyClan we recently spotted a wolf on its territory that is all"
Shocked whispers echoed threw out the clans Finchpaw new it must have been the same wolf that attacked Flamepaws hunting patrol half a moon back
The next leader to step forward was Harestar " Oh great this isn't gonna be good" Finchpaws heart began to beat rapidly " The pray is running well in WindClan Larkwing has moved into the nursery expecting Crouchfoot's kits"
Stop beating around the bush and discuss it already" Finchpaws heart was beating so fast she thought it would burst out of her chest " A Half a moon ago their was a border skirmish with a ThunderClan patrol after one of their warriors accidentally crossed the border when they where chasing a rabbit"
Finchpaw could make out Honeyfur amongst the crowd her green eyes looking shamefully at the ground Mousewhisker who was sitting beside her gave her a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.
" I don't know who started and i don't want to instigate anything with Bramblestar or ThunderClan so i think its best for both of us to just leave it in the past"
" I agree" Bramblestar nodded to the WindClan leader before stepping forward to report ThunderClan's news.
" Cats of all clans i do not have any good news to report tonight" The clan cats whispered shocked by Bramblestar's announcement.
" We where attacked by a wolf about half a moon ago thankfully know one was severely hurt" Bramblestar's amber eyes sunk towards the ground
" However just this morning the snow on top of quarry collapsed on the camp i lost my first life in the avalanche and Hollytuft was tragically killed may her spirit find peaceful rest and good hunting in StarClan"
" Gathering dismissed" Bramblestar leaped down from the tree branch to join Squirrelflight.
Finchpaw began to pad of wanting nothing more then to get back to camp and rest when she heard a familiar voice calling to her.
" Hey Finchpaw can i talk to you" Wrenpaw stalked up beside her " Hey do you want ta talk about what happened on that hunting patrol" The golden tabby apprentices amber eyes brimming with curiosity
" Look i don't want to talk about it right now besides we should both be getting home" Finchpaw responded trying not to sound mean.
" Well why don't we just meet tonight at the SkyClan border?" " Wait what tonight?!" Finchpaw looked at the SkyClan apprentice in shock " Ya tonight bring Flamepaw if you want il bring Applepaw from WindClan" " Know that;s i stupid idea" " Finchpaw you've got live in the moment some times not everything has to be planed even just one time"
" Fine sure i will do it for you just this once" Finchpaw agreed as she followed the rest of ThunderClan.
" Remember tonight by the SkyClan ThunderClan border" Wrenpaw smiled to Finchpaw as they headed back to there camps.
