Author's Note: This is a deleted scene from Sinking In Part III.

Ava's POV

We went home and I stayed at Auggie's, on the couch. I couldn't sleep, so I went to Auggie's room and shook him awake.

"Auggie?" I asked.

"Yeah?" He asked. "What's wrong?"

"I can't sleep," I said.

"Worried?"

"Heartbroken," I said, "and what Farkle said is weighing on me."

"What do you mean?" He asked, sitting up and swinging his legs to sit on the side of his bed.

"How KC's treating him," I said, sitting down next to him. "It reminded me of how I treated you last year."

"It's not the same," he said.

"But I lost you because I pushed you away," I said. "What if that happens to them?"

"I don't think it will," he said.

"She's pregnant, Auggie," I said. " It's at least similar."

"Ava," he said. "I didn't know. If I would have—"

"It would have burdened you," I said. "Even though it happened…the way it did… I wanted him or her. I thought that at least one good thing would have come out of him hurting me."

"I know," he said, putting his hand on mine. "And no, you're wrong, it wouldn't have been a burden."

"Auggie, it wasn't even yours, and you just turned twelve this year," I said.

"Aaron isn't Farkle's," he said, "but he still loves him like he is."

"That's not my point, Auggie," I said.

"I know," he said. "My parents and your mom would have helped, especially if they knew how much you wanted it."

"I really needed you," I said, "but I pushed you away. I just don't want to see that happen with them."

"Farkle loves her," he said. "He's not giving up that easy."

He looked at me and turned to face me.

"And I never will with us," he said.

We both leaned in and kissed. We ended up falling asleep on his bed.

Topanga's POV

I walked into the living room, and saw Ava wasn't on the couch. I knew exactly where she was. I looked in Auggie's room and saw them asleep on his bed. His arm was wrapped around her torso, holding her close.

We know we really need to set boundaries now that she's a teenager, but I'm letting it slide because of what they're going through. But I can tell they really love each other. I imagine this must have been what it was like for KC and Jaxon.
