As soon as Star stepped out of the house, Janna and Oskar were standing there waiting with their arms crossed. Their eyes held a look of guilt.
"Hey guys! Are you ready to finally take down Jackie?" Star smiled at them as they started walking down the sidewalk.
"That's what we wanted to talk to you about." Oskar said nervously.
"Oh? Is something wrong?" Star asked.
Janna winced. "Well, there's something we need to show you."
Star looked confused as Janna pulled out her phone and pressed play on a video. Star watched in silence as she felt her whole heart shatter. Tom had been working with Jackie the whole time, and she didn't even know it. He had taken control of her best friend, and she didn't know how to fix it.
"So, Marco is being controlled by Tom somehow. That would explain why his eyes kept glowing red each time he snapped at me." Star frowned.
"How are we supposed to save Marco from Tom though? We don't even know how he got controlled in the first place!" Oskar groaned.
"Although, I did see Jackie give some kind of pink drink to Marco in the morning the day before the dance." Janna said.
Star gasped. "That's it! She must've given him a love potion from Tom that allowed him to control Marco!"
"What if it was just soda though? Or maybe strawberry milk?"
"Janna, Marco was completely uninterested in going to the dance the day before, and then the next day he's already going with Jackie?!"
Janna sighed. "Maybe he was just quick to change his mind Star, we don't know!"
"That can't be it! Marco has never changed his mind at the last minute!" Star argued.
Oskar sighed. "Look, why don't we just figure this out later. Our main priority right now is taking down the school's queen bee."
"Exactly, and once we do that we'll see if we can fix Marco."
Star frowned but nodded her head as the three of them continued to walk to school.
As soon as Star, Janna, and Oskar stepped onto school grounds, people stopped in their tracks, stared, and then started whispering to each other.
"Woah is that the butterfly chick?"
"Damn she looks so badass!"
"So hot!"
Although Star felt slightly embarrassed about the compliments she was getting, she held her head high.
'So far so good! Jackie's reputation is as good as gone!' Star thought triumphantly. She continued to walk down the hallway, but then stopped in her tracks once she saw a crowd forming at the corner. Curiously, she walked towards the crowd and tried to peek over everyone's heads in order to get a better look, but what she saw shocked her. Jackie was wearing a black cocktail dress with the sleeves on her shoulders. Not to mention the dress was extremely short and hugged her breasts and ass. She was striking various poses against the lockers while all the boys were taking pictures, yet Marco was nowhere to be seen among the growing group of boys.
"Star? What's going on?!"
Star almost jumped at the startling voice. Luckily, it was only Janna and Oskar, who had also come to find out what the crowd was about.
"Guys, I think we lost."
