Disclaimer: I do not own the rights to Zootopia or any of the affiliated characters (except for a handful of OCs I created for this story), they belong to Disney. This story is Hopps and Wilde in a gritty, shoot-em-up style cop movie (much like Lethal Weapon), and there will be some bunny and fox romance in the story. Rated M for violence, language and sexual situations.

Chapter Eleven: High Noon

ZPD Precinct One

"Where is Spotzen," demanded Judy, "I know you know, Dylan. Now tell me, where is the bastard that killed Mack?" She kicked Krueger in the muzzle, forcing him to spit blood. "There's no way out of it," commented Nick, "my partner's a master manipulator. Trust me," he continued, "I know firsthand." "Go fuck yourself," said Krueger, finally electing to speak, "Spotzen will kill you himself if he sees you." "Not if we bust him first," said Judy, "hundreds of lives are on the line, from both drugs and bullets. The only shot you, or any of you macho 66th traitors have is to give us Spotzen." "Mention what'll happen if he doesn't cooperate," chimed in Nick. "this'll get his attention."

Krueger gulped loudly, feeling dread for what the two cops were about to say, knowing there was only one thing they could truly threaten him with, something most good cops almost never thought about. "Dylan," said Judy in a calm, sweet voice, "if you don't give us anything on Spotzen, you, Stripervich and the Hyena get turned over to the feds." "So," said Krueger, "why should I be afraid to get sent to your upper management?" "Because upper management," answered Judy in a very serious voice, "they want you boys on death row. For the drug smuggling, accomplice to capital murder, and acts of treason in Lambodia. Give us Spotzen," said Judy, "and we'll let you live."

"Who says I want to," snapped Krueger. "I know what kind of mammal you are," said Nick, "broken, confused, ashamed. You want more time on this earth, to get a chance to make things right. To ask the great mammal above for a hint of forgiveness for all the horrible things you did. I was a scumbag like you once," continued Nick, now showing genuine emotion, "with no hope at a future after I gave up long ago. I never thought I'd become an honest fox, a great role model for other foxes no less, or fall in love like I did, until I met her." he pointed to Judy, who felt the full force of what Nick was saying, couldn't help but let down tears of both pity and gratitude for everything that has happened over the last few months. "You will do time," said Nick, "a lot of time. That's nonnegotiable. But how you spend it," he paused, "can be decided here." "I'll give you Spotzen," said Krueger, who was now bawling his eyes out in shame, "just give me time to save my soul."

Rain Forest District

Nick, Judy, Wolford and a dozen other police officers sat in the back of the eighteen wheeler, dressed in jungle camo, tactical gear, and carrying M-16s and MP5s. They all looked like extras in a Vietpaw War movie, which was ironic, considering they'd be facing one of the deadliest soldiers of the war, turned traitor, transforming Zootopia into a hellscape of his own design. They all checked their weapons, as Judy decided to give a little motivational speech.

"All of you," said Judy, "I'd like to thank you for volunteering on this extremely dangerous mission. Spotzen and his goons have been using this compound to grow cocaine. We are going to burn it down. This mission," she turned to Nick, "is for all of us. We lost a lot trying to bring this piece of trash down. We all remember Mack, he was hard, tough, but good at heart. He left behind a loving wife and two children. Fangmeyer is young and should have his whole life ahead of him. Yet he nearly faced the Grim Reaper just days ago. This is for them." "Hooah," chanted the rest of the officers. "For Mack," shouted Nick. "And Scott," shouted Wolford. "We'll honor the dead," said Judy as the truck pulled up to stop, "and fight like hell for the living!"

A rhino officer forced the gate open and charged out into the dark foliage, followed by the rest of them. They ran through the bushes until they saw an open field, surrounded by wooden guard towers, with a barn and farmhouse at the end. "That's the place that Krueger told us about," whispered Nick. "Good," said Judy, who noticed a bear and jaguar carrying rifles patrolling their direction. "Go loud," she shouted. "If you're gonna shoot," cried Nick, remembering what Mack taught him, "do it to kill."

They swamped down the hill, popping off the two sentries, and opened fire on the guard towers. The mammals inside aimed their rifles and machine guns at the officers, almost taking out a couple, only to be cut down by Wolford's rifle. "How's that for marksmanship," he muttered to himself as he watched a coyote fall down dead. As members of the 66th, the last remnants of Spotzen's operation, lay dead or dying, the police officers poured lighter fluid onto the plants, and torched the field with cigarette lighters.

Nick, Wolford and Judy darted towards the farmhouse, only to see a battle scarred snow leopard in a leather jacket, sunglasses, and a colonel's beret Spotzen, they all thought. "Get down, dickhead," shouted Nick as he and his partners aimed their guns at his head. Spotzen smirked, then revealed a MAC-10 machine pistol, and opened fire, striking Wolford in the thigh, forcing him down. "No," shouted Nick. "Don't worry about me," screamed Wolford, "I'll be fine! Get the sonofabitch that shot me!"

Nick turned, hesitantly, then he and Judy ran after Spotzen into the thick vegetation. "Reminds me," huffed Nick, "of the time we were being chased by a savage jaguar!" "Yeah," replied Judy, "except we're the ones chasing now." "You know you love me," commented Nick. "Do I know that," asked Judy out loud, "Yes. Yes I do."

They finally caught up with Spotzen, who was standing on the edge of a cliff, overlooking one of the numerous canals that ran through the neighborhood. "Freeze," shouted Judy as she raised the rifle at his head, "you have nowhere to run!" "Do I," said the grizzled Spotzen, who slowly turned around and took off his sunglasses, revealing a pink hole where his right eye should have been. Nick and Judy froze in awe, horror, and disgust, having never actually looked their enemy in the eye. Then they heard the faint sound of a helicopter. Nick, in no mood for a repeat of any of the horrible incidents of the past week, shot into the hole.

Brak!

Spotzen's brain matter blew out backwards, over the cliff and into the canal. Then, he slowly collapsed backwards, falling over the edge as the helicopter arrived. The pilot saw this, and attempted to flee, only to be hit, blood spewing all over the cockpit, by Nick. The helicopter spun around, now completely out of control, only to slam onto a rock wall, and disappear into a bright orange fireball.

"I've had enough," commented Nick to Judy, not even bothering for her to say something, "of all of this." "It's alright Nick," said Judy as she gently squeezed Nick's shoulder, cueing him to gently lower the gun, "it was probably going to end like this anyways." "It was him," continued Nick, who almost seemed to ignore his partner's reassuring words, "or me. I had to kill him before he killed us." "Calm down Nick," said Judy, as she leaned in for a kiss, "I know Bogo will understand." They let out one last kiss, before departing from the jungle.

Author's Note: So, Nick and Judy got the bad guy, but we're not quite done yet. The final chapter should be done by tomorrow night. Thank you, those who have read my work, and I hope you enjoy what comes out in the future.
