Ch 10 Newfound Respect
"Where to start…" Ritsuka ponders,
"How about, how you're even alive!?" Hermione stood up from her chair, glaring at her best friend.
Ron nodded, having the same question as Hermione. "Did Dumbledore do a resurrection spell on your body?"
"Don't be silly Ron, resurrection spells are Dark Magic." Jamie looks at the red-haired boy. "Dumbledore won't go down to a dark path." He reasons with him.
"I was always alive, however, I'm not the Harry Potter you all know," Ritsuka responded. "I am Harry but at the same time, I'm not."
"Then who are you?" The twins asked in unison.
"You're Ritsuka Fujimaru." Everyone looked at Jane, staring at Ritsuka. "I heard it from everyone here."
Molly looks at Jane. "Where on earth did you know about him?" she asked.
"W-We're eavesdropping when Hinako and Dumbledore are discussing some new classes for this term," Jane admitted.
James looked at his eldest daughter. "Jane, we taught you better than that. Eavesdropping isn't good no matter what's your reason." He scolded his daughter before he tends to his youngest's needs.
Jamie stood up from his chair, "H-Hey, Jane isn't at fault here. I was with her too when you guys are having that meeting!?" He defended his sister.
"(Jamie! What are you doing?)" Jane hissed at him.
"James Jr. Potter, sit your bottom back down before you hurt yourself!" Molly scolded him,
Lily held out her hands to her friend. "Molly, as much I appreciate you stepping in. I have to be the one scolding my son." She smiles.
Molly jumps, realizing she was out of line. "Oh, my apologies Lily." She apologies to her.
"Why are you here Ritsuka?" Everyone looked at Hermione, staring at him intensely.
Ritsuka smirks, "I'm here to correct this world, something here is distorting your world. Something that does not belong."
"You do not belong here in this world too, Ritsuka." Jane glares at him. "How do we know you aren't the distortion?" she points at him.
"JANE LILITH POTTER! THAT'S NO WAY HOW WE TREAT A GUEST!" Lily scolded her daughter. "We can trust Ritsuka, he saved us back in the pipeline from those dementor scouts."
"Wait you can use a Patronus charm?" Ron piqued, "Harry can use it, but it can drive away from one or two dementors." He remembers the time Harry told him how he used the charm.
"No, I didn't use that charm, in fact, I can't use Witchcraft as you all do," Ritsuka informs the children.
"Wait, you're not-"
"A wizard?" the twins asked him, Ritsuka shook his head in response.
"Then you must be-"
"How about we change the topic eh?" James smiles, feeling the children aren't ready to learn about the Forbidden Order.
"But, Mr. Potter we-"
"Ritsuka, did you made contact with this Chaldea yet?" Arthur picked up where James left off.
Hermione looks at Ritsuka, never hearing of that word before. "Chaldea? Isn't a country's name?" she asked.
Ritsuka chuckles, remembering when his Hermione asked the same question. "No, it's a Security Organization that protects Humanity. The Chaldea Security Organization, that's the name."
"So you created this organization to protect Humanity?" Hermione questioned, intrigued by the topic. "How did you gain the funding to build Chaldea?"
"Hermione, Harry's rich. He has money to burn-"
"Actually, it was founded by the brother of my associate," Ritsuka explains. "He died a few years later after the establishment, then it was passed down to his daughter (my previous boss), then to…the Head of the Medical Division after a tragic accident, then to the Head of the Technology Development Division…he sacrifices himself…to let us live," Ritsuka sniffs.
Everyone could tell that the Head of the Medical Bey was an important person in his life. "I-I'm sorry if my question brought up painful memories, Har-Ritsuka." Hermione apologies.
Ritsuka shook his head. "No, you have nothing to be sorry for." He smiles at her. "Now where was-"
"It's okay if you don't finish, Ritsuka." Arthur held up his hands.
"Yes, Ritsuka we can see these troubles you." Molly supported her husband.
"No, it's fine. If I don't finish Goldolf would probably have my head." Ritsuka smirks to the side.
"Goldolf?" Ron questioned looking at his brothers.
The two shook their heads in unison. "Nope, we do not know who that is." They said.
"Uh, Ritsuka who is this Goldolf person? You've mentioned him before." Remus asked the Magus.
Ritsuka nodded, about to tell them. "Right, Goldolf Musik was a representative of one of our benefactors. He was sent to take over and observe me." He left out the Association part, already got the hint from Arthur and James.
"Observe you? what would he observe you?" Jamie asked, "Don't you like own the place?"
"Not in the past, I was one of the select few who can travel through dimensions." He lied a bit to them, saying that his time travel would cause more questioning.
The children got up from their seats after he said that. "YOU'RE FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION!?" they exclaim.
"Uh, yes…" Ritsuka took a step back.
"W-Wow, Fujimaru this is the fifth time you surprised people." Ishtar smiles, drinking her water.
"What do you expect, master is one of a kind." Waver chuckles.
Jane looks at the adults in the room who avoided eye contact. "You all mean to tell us that you all knew!?" She looks at each one of them.
Sirius stood up from his chair, facing his Goddaughter. "He told us when he got here, everything he told you is what he told us." The convict explains to her.
"What he told us sounds very concerning," Lily added. "He asked us for help, the Headmaster agrees to help him in exchange he helps the Order." She explains to the children.
"So you're just here temporary?" Jamie asked, hoping that he answers no.
Ritsuka saw the look on Jamie's face. "W-Well see," He smiles at him. It's not a definite answer, it's still an answer.
Jane scoffs at him. "Yeah, be sure you don't overstep the boundaries." She glares at him.
"Jane." James looked at her. "Don't say that thi-"
"Whatever," Jane got up from her chair and walk back to her room.
"Jane, wait!" Lily tried to call her back, only for her to ignore her call. 'What am I going to do with that girl.' She sighs.
An awkward wind blew in the room, not one of the residents gains the courage to speak except for one. "Uh, so Har-Ritsuka do you want to go to Diagon Alley with me?" Jamie wanted to hang out with his brother.
Ritsuka smiles, ruffling his hair. "Maybe some other time, Jamie. Right now we need to speak with Dumbledore about this term." He explains to the boy.
"I'm afraid you need to wait, Ritsuka." Arthur looked at the Magus.
"Why's that?" Waver questioned the Weasley head.
"Dumbledore is at Hogwarts preparing for the upcoming semester. It's unexpected since the ministry is getting up to his business, but he'll return at the end of the week." Arthur explains to the Chaldeans.
Ritsuka looks at his Servants, shrugging their shoulders. He looks back at the Order, "We can wait, we do not have anything pressing matters to attend." he told them. "In the meantime, I got plenty of time to know my students." He eyed the children in the room.
"Students?" Hermione asked before Jamie realized what he means.
"You're going to be a professor at Hogwarts!" Jamie points out.
"WHAT!?" The children exclaim upon hearing it.
Waver sighs, feeling a pat on his back. "That's right, master's going to teach you a few things that my sensei taught him." Flat smiles at the group.
"Flat…" Waver's eye twitches remembering the time when he taught this boy in his class. "The time you were my student was… questionable."
"Hahaha, don't be like that sensei." Flat patted his back some more.
Parvati sighs at the two. "This is definitely going to be a long trip."
The next day Hermione walks down the halls, stopping at Ritsuka's room. 'Come on Hermione, this is Harry we're speaking of.' She was about to knock on the door when she heard something.
"Oh Feuergeist, leih mir deine Kraft…ᚠᛁᚱᛖ." Hermione heard the muffled voice of Ritsuka speaking in German, then what seems to be a Germanic Rune.
"Hermione." Ron came up to her.
Hermione looked to Ron coming up to her. "Ron what are you doing here?" she asked the red-haired boy.
Ron smirks at the bookworm. "I was about to say the same thing to you."
"W-Well I wanted to speak to Harry or Ritsuka, I know he's not the same Harry but still." Hermione looks at the door, suddenly the shadow morphs into a man standing in front of it. "Oh my god!" she gasps at the sight of the man.
"Mione," Ron grabs Hermione's arm, pulling himself in front of her. He looked at the man who was just smiling at him. "W-Who are you? A-Are you a Death Eater!?"
Ashyia eyed the Wizards before him. "Ah, Ronald Bilius Weasley and Hermione Jane Granger. I take it you're here to see my master?" the Alter Ego asked sadistically.
"M-Master?" Ron blinks frighten of the Servant.
Hermione gains some courage to step forward. "Y-You're one of R-Ritsuka's Servants, correct?"
"Hermione don't be ridiculous, that crazed man isn't-"
Ashyia let out a sadistic laugh causing more tension. "Indeed I am, my name is Alter Ego. I serve my master with utmost loyalty." He smiles proudly.
"B-But Harry won't be friends with an insane man like yourself!" Ron points his finger at Ashyia. "Y-You must be lying!" he exclaims, not believing one moment that Harry would associate with a dark creature,
The door opened, revealing Lanling. "Lord Alter Ego, what's this noise out here?" The prince asked the onmyoji. He noticed the two Wizards before them. "Ah, Lady Hermione, Lord Ronald. I take it you're here to see master?" he asked the two.
Ron looked at Lanling the to Ashyia. Then it pings in his mind, these two know each other. "You're telling me, you know this dark creature Saber!?"
Lanling blinks, remembering the time they call them dark creatures too. "Ah, now I get it." The Saber understands. "You do not need to worry, Lord Alter Ego is tamed. Abandon his old ways to serve master."
"Heh, I haven't abandoned my old ways, Saber." Ashyia grins. "I use them against our beloved master's enemies." He twirls around.
Lanling rolled his eyes before looking back at the two. "Apologies for his…ahem, personality. Alter Ego is quite protective over our master."
"Uh, we understand." Hermione answered, "O-Our Harry has a few enemies himself."
"Yeah, the Dark Lord is one case." Ron piqued in. "I'm sure you guys had trouble defeating him over and over again." He smiled.
Ashyia and Lanling looked at each other having the same thought. They looked at them again, "Well, we did face Voldemort eventually." Lanling spoke, seeing the fear in their eyes. "However-"
"Master defeated him only once," Ashyia continued.
Ron and Hermione looked at each other with wide eyes. They look back at the two Servants. "You're telling us, that Harry has only defeated the Dark Lord only once and succeed!?" Ron exclaims.
"Saber, I thought you were just checking what's the ruckus out here." Waver opens the door. "Not making it worse. Master is concentrating on his work." He scolded him.
Lanling smiles at the Pseudo-Servant. "Apologies, Lord El-Melloi II." He apologies to him.
"Work?" Hermione leans to the side, seeing a glimpse of Ritsuka looking at an old book while trying to trace what seems to be a rune. She then saw Caster walking behind him, pointing something at the book. 'Is he doing ancient runes?' she thought.
"Ms. Granger, what's the meaning of your visit?" Waver questions the bookworm.
"(Mione!)" Ron tugs her sleeves, trying to gain her attention.
Hermione shook her head, returning to reality. "Oh, s-sorry. What was your question?" he asked the former Lord.
Waver sighs, rubbing his forehead. "I asked, what is it you need here? Our master is studying right now." He explained to them once more.
'Studying? Harry hardly study.' Ron was surprised that this Harry study rather than go out and have fun.
Hermione scratches her cheek, a bit nervous to say what she wants to say, "I-I was wondering if we can speak to Har-Ritsuka? Like alone with him unlike at the table yesterday." She smiles.
Waver looks back in the room, he moved back inside letting his master through. "I heard you two wanted to speak with me?" Ritsuka looks at the two.
Ron and Hermione felt a ping in their hearts, seeing their dead friend's face alive. "U-Uh yes, we're wondering if we can speak one on one with you?" Hermione asked the Magus.
"Unless if you were busy doing something," Ron looks inside, seeing a weird rectangle thing, gems, and an ancient book on the desk.
"I just finished; we can speak out here if you want." Ritsuka places his hands in the pockets of his Chaldean sweater.
They both nodded, wanting to have a chance conversing with him. "You guys can rest, I'll be alright." Ritsuka looks at his Servants.
"Call us if you need us, master." Lanling renters the room with everyone.
Once everyone enters the room, Ritsuka looks at the two. "So, what do you two want to talk about?" he asked.
"Uh, H-' No, I have to stop calling him that, he's not Harry even if they share the same voice and features.'" Hermione looks at Ritsuka, examining him. He's taller than Harry, plus he has blue eyes like sapphires. She then notices the Command Seals on his right hand. 'He got a tattoo?'
"Uh, Ritsuka you got a tattoo on your right hand?" Hermione observes his appearance.
"Tattoo?" Ron questions looking at his right hand, noticing the strange markings. "You're right, that's a wicked design!" he commented at the Command Seals.
Ritsuka blinks, looking at his Command Seals. "Oh, this? It was given to me by my employer." He went along with their story, can't expect them to believe that the World gave him these Command Seals. "It's like a symbol for the top employee." He lied.
"So you're like one of the elites of Chaldea or something?" Hermione asked before slapping her forehead. "Of course you're an elite, the director before you gave you the position." She smiles.
Ron then noticed the silver ring on his finger. "What's that ring?" he asked Ritsuka.
"Oh, this. It was given to me by the Head of the Medical Division," Ritsuka sadly smiles, thinking of Romani. "This was his parting gift to me before his death."
Ron regretted asking that question seeing the sadness on his face. "S-So, Har-"
"I do apologies, but can you call me by my name I told you?" Ritsuka asked the two. "To be honest, I haven't gone by that name since I was sixteen."
"O-Oh, sorry." Ron apologies, still getting used to him not being Harry. "W-We're still getting used to your name."
"Understandable, is there anything else you want to know about me?" Ritsuka asked the two.
Hermione looked at Ron then back at him. "Uh yes, now you've mentioned it. What topic are you going to teach this semester?" she asked curious about what they'll be learning.
"Lore, it goes in-depth with History's greatest Heroes and Villains in my dimension," Ritsuka explains.
"History?" Ron groans, thinking of Professor Binn's class. "Are you going to teach the Goblin Rebellions and Merlin as he did?"
Ritsuka laughs, remembering the reports about the Professors of Hogwarts. "You don't need to be worried; I won't follow what Hogwarts History of Magic is teaching."
"You're not!?" Hermione gasps, hearing that he's going a different path than what Professor Binns is teaching.
"I gain permission from my advisors to teach you what my world's history is like. Note that most information is crucial and will not be shared." Ritsuka points out. "But the rest is fine,"
Hermione was getting excited about this class. "So what kind of lore? Is it going to be history's political figures of the muggle world? Or is it more in the civilizations?" she asked excitedly.
"Muggle what? Isn't muggle history about war and that stuff?" Ron questioned only heard a few bits and pieces of Muggle history from Percy.
"You think that but no. I'll be focusing on the people in both history and myths," Ritsuka explained. "Like the King of Knights, Arthur Pendragon to the Russian duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova. There's some recent lore of certain Gods and Goddess."
Ron looks confused, he knows King Arthur is but Anastasia? No clue.
"Like in Greek Gods?" Hermione questioned.
Ritsuka shook his head. "Not only from Greece, but other cultures too."
"I see," Hermione nodded. "So is there going to be any text we need to purchase for your class, Ritsuka?"
"No, I'll hand the textbooks when classes start," Ritsuka stated before seeing Molly walking up the stairs.
Ron turns around seeing his mother. "Mum, what are you doing here?" he asked his mother.
Molly smiles at the people in front of her. "I was going to tell Ritsuka that Dumbledore has arrived early, he's ready to speak to you and Hinako about this term at Hogwarts," she informs the Magus.
"I see, thank you, Molly." Ritsuka mentally calls Hinako to come, the doors open to the Dead Apostle.
"Ritsuka, are you ready?" Hinako asked her master.
Hermione blinks at her walking in the hall. "You heard that behind that door?" she asked, shocked that she has good hearing.
"Yes, I can hear behind the door. I have excellent hearing." Hinako smirks,
Ritsuka looks at the two, "I have to go, it was nice talking to the both of you."
"Fou!" Fou ran out of the room, climbing on Ritsuka's back to his shoulders. The sight of the Beast shocked the two children, never seeing any creature like that in books.
"What is that? I have never seen it before." Hermione examines the cute little squirrel thing.
Ron saw the creature too, amazed by the look. "Bill saw many creatures before, but never this one," Ron commented. "What is it?"
Ritsuka petted Fou's chin. "This is Fou, he's the only one of his kind." He smiles.
"DAMN BEAST!" Merlin steps out of the room with a scratched up face. "The years I've taken care of you and you repaid me by scratching my face!"
"Fou," Fou stubbornly ignores the Magus of Flowers by dramatically turning around.
"I swear, I wished I never met you." Merlin enters the room, closing the door.
The Wizards witnessing the strange interaction between the Grand Caster and the Beast. "Those two didn't have a great start." Ritsuka chuckles, "But I'm sure they'll make up sooner or later."
"Ritsuka, you're talking about the impossible," Hinako commented. "No matter what, Fou has issues he'll never let go." She sighs.
"I know, but you never know Hinako." Ritsuka smiles before walking down the stairs. Hinako inclines her head to the Wizards, following Ritsuka soon after.
Molly looks at the two standing next to her. "Have either of you saw Ginny lately? I haven't seen her since Monday." She has this concerned look on her face.
"I think she went to a sleepover with the other girls in that club at Cho Chang's home." Hermione rolled her eyes, cannot even fathom that such a club exist.
"You mean the Harry Potter fan club?" Ron scoffs, "Those girls in that club is all crazy about Harry…dear Merlin, just think how crazy they'll get when Ritsuka shows himself at Hogwarts." Ron shivers at the pack of crazed love girls, cramming in the halls just because Harry is walking in.
Hermione chuckles dreading when the time of class scheduling starts. All the girls in the fan club will pack the room. "I can see it now, Ritsuka's class is going to be filled in one day."
Molly smiles sweetly at them for caring for Ritsuka. "It's so nice to see you two care for Ritsuka. Even calling him by his new name, I'm proud of you two." She complimented them.
"Thanks, Mum." Ron scratches his cheek, from the comment.
Ritsuka, Fou, and Hinako sat before Dumbledore across the dining table. "I see you have decided to take my offer, Mr. Fujimaru." Dumbledore looked at the Magus.
"Yes, it wasn't easy. Goldolf has some doubts about this plan." Ritsuka explains to him. "However the rest of my advisors sees it as the best course of action. There are some topics that I must avoid but other than that I'm all set."
"I see, I'm glad to hear that." Dumbledore looks at Hinako, "I take it you'll be assisting his class, Ms. Akuta?" he asked.
The Assassin nodded, "Yes, there some days that Ritsuka is unavailable due to his job. I'll take over when the day comes."
Dumbledore nodded, understanding that Ritsuka's job is important. "I completely understand. I too have an important job as the Headmaster of the school and…the minister's…advisor." The old Wizard sighs, thinking of Fudge.
"Fou?"
Ritsuka notices the dreaded expression on his face. "I take it, Cornelius Fudge is depending on you?" he asked.
"How did-oh, right you have a Cornelius Fudge in your dimension too," Dumbledore concluded.
Ritsuka nodded in response to his question. "Anyways, I heard that you are needed for new staff in the roster, I happen to have the right person for a Muggle Studies class." He looked at Dumbledore, interested in who that person is.
"Do tell, Mr. Fujimaru." Dumbledore listens to what he's offering. "Searching for a Muggle Studies Professor is hard these days. Nobody was interested in the position except for Professor Burbage who retired last year."
Hinako smiles at the Headmaster. "Well you're in luck, our Head of the Technology Development Division has taught Ritsuka math, science, art, the English arts, art, and Italian."
"Really?" Dumbledore looks at the Magus.
"Caster è un grande insegnante se lo dico io stesso," Ritsuka spoke in Italian as proof that Da Vinci is a capable instructor.
Dumbledore looked impressed, the way he spoke is so fluent. "I have to say Mr. Fujimaru, your Italian is authentic." He smiles. "Can you bring Caster in so I can interview her?"
"Fou?" Fou blinks at Dumbledore for knowing what Ritsuka said.
"I take it you know a bit of Italian as well, Headmaster?" Ritsuka grins at him.
Dumbledore chuckles, "Ha ragione, signor Fujimaru."
Ritsuka and Hinako laughs when Dumbledore answered back. "I think I found some form of respect for you Dumbledore," he smiles at him.
"As do I Mr. Fujimaru." Dumbledore smiled in return.
Hinako coughs gaining their attention. "What is it Ms. Akuta?" Dumbledore asked the Assassin.
"If I may, you said you needed new security for Hogwarts, right?" Hinako asked the old man.
"That's correct."
Ritsuka smiles at the old man. "Then I'll lend a helping hand,"
Dumbledore blinks at the Chaldeans, wondering what they have to offer. "I'm listening."
The Next Day
Dumbledore blinks seeing a brunette woman with blue eyes, she wore a brown, blue, and crimson dress with gold detailing and a blue shirt with golden stars imprinted on it. A reddish-brown cape, draped from her back, blue gloves that reach past her elbows. Blue stockings that reach up to her thighs that fade to a brownish color to her golden heels.
"Uh…" James blinks at the sight of the woman, smiling at them; standing next to his 'son'.
"Hi, it's nice to meet everyone." Da Vinci waved. "I'm the Head of the Technology Development Division and Tech Advisor to Fujimaru-kun," She flipped her hair dramatically before looking everyone with a smile.
"But you may call me Caster."
Ritsuka sighs using his hands to introduce Da Vinci. "Everyone, this is Chaldea's Tech Wizard. She was also the Fourth director of Chaldea before me."
Da Vinci crossed her arms. "I'm looking forward to working with all of you." she smiles.
"Mr. Fujimaru, I thought you have more people with you for security?" Dumbledore asked, seeing the ones they've seen before plus Da Vinci.
Ritsuka nodded. "I understand, but due to how many Servants wanting to come here. I'll introduce you once we're at Hogwarts," he explains.
They all nodded, having more people around would make the complex cramp. Lily got up and walks to Da Vinci. "Well, Caster I'm looking forward to working alongside you too." She offers her hand in friendship.
Da Vinci obliges, shaking her master's mother's hand. "Let's do our best."
