Koyuki looked at the group before her. Two ninjas from the leaf. One ninja from the sand and two other ninjas supposedly from the land of stone. A few days ago, she had received the scroll about Sasuke Uchiha. It was funny because she was not a kage, but she was treated like one. The land of snow was the only country ruled over by a daimyo and not a kage, she would be attending the five kage summit at the end of the year.
A clearing of a throat brought her back to the people in front of her.
"ah yes…alrighty then. Trio from the leaf and sand your welcome to stay here until you heal, and I will alert your Hokage and kazekage that you are here. You rest up and then you can go home. Now…Sasuke Uchiha and lady tora...I owe you a thank you and an apology. I will give you three days to rest up and relax before I report that I saw you Sasuke. Unfortunately, I must keep my standards and the leaf village is looking for you. But for your sake, I will let you leave early before I send the report. Now I thank you both for not only handling the rebels but saving the people stuck in that cave."
"it was all Sasuke…" lady tora told her. "I just came in to back him up."
"I see…and did you find the tigers?" koyuki asked
"Hai. They are resting up as we speak." Lady tora replied
"good. here is a reward for your hard work. And if I need you both sometime in the future?" she asked as she threw them 2 wads of cash
"…I will leave a scroll with our summoning seal on it. just do the hand signs and well get your message."
"so were just going to let Sasuke Uchiha walk out of here!" Temari questioned in anger
"what I allow in my country ambassador Temari is my business. Now once he is out of the land of snow you can do as you please. Matter of fact, you can tell your kazekage but on my ground he will not be harmed." Koyuki said coldly
"fine! You will be hearing from the kazekage! And the Hokage! Lee, Karin let us go! Well find another village to heal up in!"
"Sasuke…please just come back with us. If you come willingly, I am sure lady tsunade will hear you out. They just want to make sure …your issues…do not arise again. I mean they pardoned you…do not you think you owe them something? And everyone misses you. Sugeitsu, jugo, Naruto.…" Karin pleaded
Sasuke felt a boiling rage. She thought he owed the village something…the village that killed his clan…the village that ostracized anyone different from them. The village that tortured him...how dare she!
Before Sasuke could activate his sharigan, he felt a soft hand brush his cheek.
Hinata.
she was the calm in the middle of his storm. the only one who could understand him without saying a word
He loved her.
Sasuke gasped. He loved her. He loved Hinata
With this new revelation…Sasuke quickly summoned a scroll.
"are you three done here…I have to talk to the daimyo." He asked coldly
"Sasuke…we will see you soon." Lee said cryptically
With the three of them gone. Sasuke turned to the daimyo.
"can you seal the room?" he asked
The daimyo nodded and did as such.
"…my partner and I will run occasional missions for you, and you must pay us…but only on two conditions."
"what are they?" koyuki asked in interest
"one…you marry us."
Hinata gasped
"two…once she takes off that mask…you will not reveal her identity to anyone…no matter what...under no conditions. Do we have a deal?"
"you have a deal." Koyuki said. She was shocked that he was asking this of her but…if he was willing to offer his services, she was more than willing.
"good…Hinata…take off your mask…"
Hinata did so hesitantly.
"I will need a marriage con- "
Sasuke handed her the scroll that was already written out.
"Sasuke when did you have that drawn up?" Hinata asked him. he only proposed to her last night.
"…while you were sleeping last night after you said yes. I teleported all the way back to the village and asked your uncle and grandmother. It was 3 am by the way, they probably would have said yes to anything. the village will be waiting for us by the way."
Hinata smiled. He really wanted to marry her. he was really in love with her. Sasuke Uchiha was in love…with her. and she loved him.
"if you two love birds are done staring at each other...I can begin this..."
The couple nodded. Hinata blushed as Sasuke grabbed her hand.
She once thought this day would be with a blond haired, blue eyed hero but instead she was marrying an obsidian eyed, raven haired avenging angel. She thought she would be surrounded by family and friends on nice sunny day. Instead, she was in a blue office in the land of spring…and her wedding was being officiated by the daimyo. No, she was not having a wedding...but a marriage.
A marriage that would be full of ups and downs, heartaches, and long nights but it would also be full of love, commitment…trust.
"do you at least have a ring for the women Uchiha?" koyuki asked
"...I do if you must know. "Sasuke said cheekily.
He then pulled out a diamond ring with the Uchiha fan engraved on the sides.
He looked into Hinata's violet eyes.
"…I can't promise that I'll be the perfect husband… but I will promise that you have my heart. You have my commitment…you have my trust…you have my love. There will be some nights that I won't be there but know that you will be on my mind and in my heart…and I will come home to you always."
Hinata smiled.
He was hers and she was his.
Meanwhile, lee looked back at the two angry women. It was a strange pairing to begin with. Karin was erratic, Temari was hot tempered and lee himself was high energy. Unfortunately, they had not been strong enough to defeat their enemy and wound up kidnapped. They failed their mission.
Two weeks later, the trio returned to the leaf...tired and disappointed. Begrudgingly they found themselves outside of the hokage's office.
"…how do we do this? We failed the mission?" Karin asked
Temari sighed.
"we do what we have to do. the good thing is we know where Sasuke's last known location was and a description of who he was traveling with. So well give her that."
With that said she knocked on the door.
"enter."
The trio entered.
"lady fifth..." Temari began
