Spider-Man: Watch out! Here comes the Spider-Man! After learning Cia is Chronoan, we helped her investigate a temple that suddenly went active. It was the Syndicate again, this time trying to steal a Crown from the temple guardian. We somehow called a truce to destroy the guardian together. The Syndicate left with nothing, but we left with the Crown. It feels like an OOPArt. Wonder why were the Syndicate after it?

BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Gaia Gate

Captain America, Thor, Wolverine, Black Widow, and Tails gather to meet with Cia in front of her house as she uses her magic to summon the rest of the Avengers after their successful mission at the Temple of Tempus. "Honey, we're home!" Iron Man jokingly announced the return of his group.

Widow smiles, "And just in time. Look who's back in action." She steps aside for an approaching Nick Fury, who has awoken from his time in the medical machine.

"It's Nick Fury! You're okay!" Ms. Marvel smiled in joy.

"Thanks to all of you rescuing me from the Syndicate. Good to be back. And I see you've all met Cia." said Fury, glancing at his sorceress friend.

Cia smiles at him, "It is nice to see you are okay, Nick."

"Been wondering. How were you able to contact me through my Spider-Sense?" Spidey asked the director.

"The eyepatch is a communication device. Inbetween torture sessions, I broadcasted coded messages on the same frequency you detect your Spider-Tracers." Fury explained.

"The eyepatch? Really?" Spidey remarked.

Fury quips, "I'm Nick Fury."

"Which means you also know the Syndicate's endgame." Stark quipped.

"Red Skull wants both halves of Solaris, most likely to resurrect the creature. And I've been informed they got away with the Scepter, meaning they must've released Mephiles." Fury proclaimed.

"But Cia said it's impossible to revive Solaris without the right power." Ruby remarks, then unveils the Crown of Tempus in her hand and shows it to her friends, "Maybe with this?"

"Not with that. But that IS a source of incredible power that is hard to control." Cia commented, familiar with the crown.

"Then what is it?" Ruby asks her.

Cia points at the crown and says, "That is the Crown of Tempus, one of the Sacred Treasures of Chronoa belonging to the Tempus Tribe. This Crown grants its user visions of the future and see into countless alternate timelines."

"Skull would be one step ahead of us if he got the Crown." Steve commented.

"Alone, the visions the Crown grants are random and cannot be controlled. But those limitations are removed when empowered by the other two Sacred Treasures: The Spear of Mira and the Armor of Kako." Cia replied.

"What can you tell us of these Lost Tribes?" Thor asks the sorceress.

"The Mira Tribe were furious Chronoa warriors. The most skilled in the kingdom and were expert weapons specialist." Cia briefed.

"Sounds like my type of people!" Wolverine quipped.

Thor smiles as he shares the same thought, "Aye!"

Hearing talk about weapons quickly got Ruby excited and interested. "I would've loved to see what weapons they were masters at!" The huntress smiled gleefully.

Cia smiles at the huntress as she continues, "The Kako Tribe were geniuses of the kingdom. The scientists. Capable of creating anything from everything, including technology more advanced than the Iron Man Armor." She teasingly grins at Stark.

"No doubt with help from my distant ancestor." Stark quipped.

Cia rolls her eyes at Tony as she says, "And then there is my tribe. The Tempus Tribe. And as you can guess…" She playfully swings her scepter as it sparkles with magic, "We were sorcerers that were trained in the mystic arts and mastered the lost magic of timespace. When one uses a Sacred Treasure, they are able to tap into the power of that ancient Tribe. But when they use all three Treasures, they are reborn into the Chrono King, possessing the immeasurable power of all three Tribes. With this power, they can open the Gate of Chronoa and resurrect the kingdom from its banished dimension."

"That is Skull's plan: To unlock the secrets of Chronoa by reviving the kingdom to our reality, and take it over with these Sacred Treasures." Fury proclaimed.

Cia frowns, "Yes. They can conquer Mobiant Earth if they revive my kingdom. No force in the modern age can stand against its power."

BGM-Sonic Adventure 2 OST-Strategy

"No force except the Avengers!" Captain America retorted determinedly. "We just need to secure the remaining Treasures before the Syndicate finds them."

"Finding them won't be easy. They've been lost since the fall of Chronoa and emit a special energy that is hard to track, even with the Chronoblade. We were lucky to find the Crown at the Temple of Tempus because I originated from that Tribe." Cia responded.

"Then we'll return to Mobiant Earth and investigate Chronoa ruins. Find clues on their current locations." Cap suggested.

"Good idea, Captain." Cia likes his idea.

"Cia and I will stay here and do our own investigation. We'll keep in contact." Fury said.

"Use the Chronoblade to return to Mobiant Earth, and vice versa if you ever want to return here." Cia instructs Spider-Man on another new ability of the OOPArt.

Spidey stylishly summons the Chronoblade to his hand, "Sweet. Beats taking the interdimensional subway." He opens a portal for his fellow Avengers to walk into.

"See you later!" Kamala happily waves goodbye to Cia and Fury. Cia smiles, waving goodbye to Kamala before she was the last to disappear into the portal.

Later on Mobiant Earth…

A team consisting of Captain America, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Tails, and Ruby are flying high in the sky inside the Quinjet as they search for the second Sacred Treasure. "So we're not gonna cheat and use the Crown to make it easier finding the other Treasures?" Spidey asked.

"No. You heard what Cia said. It's too risky, but we'll use it as a last resort." Cap responded.

"Well then, where to first?" Ruby asks about their destination.

"Pulled up all SHIELD files related to Chronoa. It's limited, but there may be a Chronoa relic in the Nanzca Village at South Amerius. It's a village that still believe in the ancient power of Chronoa. Traces of Chronoa might be there." said Black Widow, looking at holo-screens of information.

"A good place to investigate. Set a course for Nanzca Village, Tails." Steve ordered.

"Roger." Tails complied, flying the jet to their destination.

Nanzca Village

BGM-Mega Man Star Force 2 OST-Whazzap Village

The Quinjet lands on the outskirts of a small village in a hot area with rocks and cactus, and Allium plants. The Avengers walk out of their jet and proceed to the village's entrance while glancing at the environment. "Wow…So this is Nanzca…It's got a tropical feel to it. Kinda reminds me of Mazuri." Tails comments in awe of the area.

"So far, nothing interesting. Maybe SHIELD got their intel wrong for once." Widow quipped.

Then, the heroes enter the village and were amazed to find dozens of buildings uniquely made with stone that look ancient yet modern, and find the townspeople wearing cultural ponchos with vase-shaped hats on their heads. "This is so cool!" Ruby comments in amazed joy.

"The entire village looks like it came straight from the past!" Steve commented. "Is there anyone we can talk to that can help us?"

Spidey spots a man wearing a green poncho and approaches him, politely getting his attention while asking, "Hey! Excuse me! Can you help me and my friends out? We're trying to look for something."

The villager's eyes widen in gasping shock as if he recognizes Spider-Man, "Are you…?"

Spidey casually quips, "Why yes, I AM the famous Spider-Man-."

"Descendant of Chronoa!" The villager interrupts with ecstatic joy.

"Wait, what?" Spidey remarks in confusion. Suddenly, more and more villagers notice Spider-Man and have the same amazed expression on their faces. Dozens rush to surround him, continuously greeting him while believing he is some descendant of Chronoa. "H-Hey! What's this all about?!" Spidey asks frantically but receives no answers from the villagers talking over him.

The Avengers approach the crowd with Steve asking, "Spider-Man, what is going on?"

"They think I'm some descendant of Chronoa!" Spidey shouted while trying to move out of the crowd.

"Huh?" Ruby tilts her head in confused disbelief.

"You? These people must be delusional." Widow quipped.

Unknown to the Avengers yet, two certain individuals are approaching them from behind: A young blond-haired huntress wearing a cowboy hat and a short red echidna wearing treasure hunting gear as well as his own cowboy hat. The echidna scoffs with a smile and says, "Wasn't expecting to run into you guys." to announce their presence to the Avengers as they turn around to face them.

"Knuckles! Yang!" exclaims Tails, shocked to be seeing two of their friends in this village.

Yang smiles and greets her friends with a hand gesture, "Hiya! Long time no see!"

"I wouldn't say that. It's only been two weeks, but it's always nice to see you two. What are you doing here?" Captain America asked the adventurers with a smile.

"Covering stories for the Daily Bugle as usual. Been traveling around the world since the Iblis thing to learn more about Chronoa and how Iblis was connected to an ancient prophecy that nearly ended the world." Yang replied.

Widow smiles, "Not surprised. You and Knuckles found the lost continent of Murasia. Was a nice read."

"Did you find anything?" Ruby happily asks her sister.

"Not much until I heard about people that still believe in Chronoa's existence, which led me to here and Knuckles." Yang replied.

"What do you mean?" Tails asked.

"I came here to search for a lost treasure of Chronoa until I ran into Yang." Knuckles answered.

"Seems we share a common goal. We're also trying to find a lost treasure of Chronoa to save the world. Have any clue where it is?" Steve asked.

"It's somewhere inside their Temple of Mira, but we weren't allowed in without the chief's permission. But that might change once the festival starts." Knuckles replies smirkingly.

"Festival?" Steve questioned, but he couldn't say more when Spider-Man finally reunites with the group while nearly tumbling to the ground.

"Whew! Finally convinced them to let me go." quips Spidey, then is shocked to notice Yang and Knuckles in front of him, "Huh? You two are here? And what's with the cowboy hats?"

"Thought that was you I saw in trouble. Glad you're here. There's someone I want you to meet." smiles Yang, grabbing her husband's hand as she leads the group across the village.

The heroes walked towards a large stone statue with several flower and food offerings around it. It is here they find the village's Shaman, the bearded elder wearing an orange and brown poncho and a large vase-like hat. He was waving goodbye to young kids before he was approached by the Avengers. "Chief! This is the guy I was talking to you about." Yang said to the Shaman, introducing him to Spider-Man.

The Shaman looks at Peter's spider-logo and smiles, "Ah. You wear the symbol of the Spider. So you are the Spider-Man. A pleasure to meet you." He shakes hands with Spidey, "I am the Shaman of Nanzca Village. Hope my people weren't bothering you too much."

"Not at all. They're all fine." Spidey quipped.

"And who are the rest of you?" The Shaman asks, looking at the Avengers.

"We're the Avengers, sir. Friends of Spider-Man." Captain America replied. "And may I politely ask why your people thinks he is a descendant of Chronoa?"

"He shares the same symbol as one of the Golden Gods who fell the First Devourer, which led to the creation of Chronoa." The Shaman answered.

"Seriously? I may not be too familiar with my ancestry, but I extremely doubt I'm related to a Golden God or anything from Chronoa." Spidey quipped.

"But I heard news from overseas of how you and a blue hedgehog turned gold to stop the Flames of Disaster. There is a legend that when Solaris's rage threatens our world, the Golden Gods will be reborn in certain individuals and save us." The Shaman lectured.

"But I'm not a god! I'm just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man that turns gold on an occasion." Spidey quipped.

"Just play along. It might help you find that lost treasure." Yang told her husband.

"So you also seek possession of our ancient treasure." The Shaman remarked.

"I'm afraid so. We believe evil forces are after the treasure, and we need to protect it from them for the safety of your people." said Captain America.

"Then perhaps you are interested in joining our festival." The Shaman smiled at the heroes.

"What is the festival for?" Tails asks him.

The Shaman says, "Inside the Temple of Mira resides our God from the Chronoa's era. It's thanks to our God that we live in peace. We beseech to them to give us a plentiful harvest. Before we welcome the harvest season, we give them offerings of last year's best crops, as well as song and dance. And, for those that are willing, can participate in the Trials of Mira."

"What's that?" Ruby asked.

"After giving their food offerings, the chosen one, and their chosen friends, can challenge themselves by venturing through the Temple of Mira in hopes of defeating our God and claiming their lost treasure. None have ever completed the Trial. Some have even lost their lives." said the Shaman, unnerving some of the heroes, "So if you want the treasure, you must pass the Trial. Do any of you have what it takes?"

"You bet! Trials like these should be cakewalk for us!" Spidey quipped with confidence that the Avengers can easily complete the Trial.

The Shaman smiles, "I like your confidence, but you must be chosen first. Follow me! It's time we begin the festival." He said.

BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Mazuri (Day)

The Shaman leads his guests to a large crowd gathering in front of a building. "Stay here." He said to the Avengers, having them stay with the crowd before walking to the front of the building. Then, a bird flies down and lands on his hat as he expresses out his arms and says to his village, "And now we will begin the ceremony where God chooses his chosen one for this year! Go forth!" The bird flies away from his hat and soars above the villagers as they look up in awe, wondering who the bird is going to choose. After a moment of flying, the bird spots its chosen one in the form of Captain America. It lands on his head and screeches, much to the surprise of himself and his friends.

"What?!" Cap remarks, as the villagers cheer for him.

"That bird likes you." Yang smiled.

The Shaman approaches Steve with a smile, "Congratulations! You have been chosen by God! You and your friends are now eligible to take the Trials! We pray for your victory."

A female villager hands Cap a large food basket for him to carry. Steve smiles, "Thank you. We'll try our best!"

BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Savannah Citadel (Night)

The Shaman leads the Avengers to the holy grounds of the village, the spot where the ancient Temple of Mira is located. The entrance door opens as the Shaman says, "Place the food basket on the pedestal to begin the Trials, or leave if you wish."

"I think we have what it takes." said Captain America, walking into the lobby with his friends.

"Then good luck, Avengers." The Shaman told them.

While Steve approaches the pedestal, his friends take an interest of the mysterious symbols drawn on the walls surrounding them. One of the drawings appear to be the Crest of Chronoa, vaguely resembling a gear. Another resembles the Chronoblade. One drawing resembles a Chronoan soldier wielding a sword, representing a Mira tribesman, and other resemble some fossils.

"Look at these symbols. They must all represent something from Chronoa." Black Widow commented.

Ruby stares at a symbol that resembles a city. "Is this supposed to be a city?" She questioned.

"Looks like. According to the villagers, the capital city of Chronoa floated in the sky!" Knuckles approached her, shocking her with this claim.

"Really?! I guess it's possible considering how advanced they were, and Atlas was a floating city." Ruby remarked.

Meanwhile, Yang stares at a creepy symbol that resemble a sinister face showing narrow eyes and a serrated mouth, "Some of these symbols are giving me the evil eye." She commented.

Just then, Captain America places the food basket on the pedestal as his offering to the temple's god. The pedestal sinks through the ground, causing a massive door to open that leads deeper into the temple. "Then let's not stand here any longer." He remarks, leading the group to the depths of the temple. He touches his earpiece to contact Cia, "Cia, this is Captain America. We're currently investigating the Temple of Mira."

"Cia?" A confused Knuckles questioned.

"A new friend of ours. She's the last Chronoan and the Guardian of Time." Spidey briefs him and Yang on Cia.

"Sounds like me being the last Echidna." Knuckles grinned.

"Except she's a better guardian than you." quips Spidey, annoying the echidna.

'I see you, Captain. There is a good chance the Spear of Mira is located in the temple. Just be careful getting through. That temple was built as a dangerous training course for the Mira Tribe to hone their skills.' Cia responds through the coms.

"What should we expect?" asked Steve. "The villagers mentioned we have to go through trials to claim the treasure."

'If I remember my school studies, the first trial will test your strength.' says Cia, as the heroes enter a large square room.

Knuckles grins cockily, "With me around, this should be a piece of cake!"

BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Werehog Battle Theme

Suddenly, the door behind them closes, trapping the heroes inside the room. Then, a small army of Tokizoids are warped in to confront them. "What are these?!" Knuckles asked.

"Tokizoids!" Steve answered.

And immediately after, the walls start closing in. "The walls are closing!" Widow shouted.

"Then hurry and clear the area!" said Steve, quickly destroying a Tokizoid with a downward shield strike.

Tails flies over robots, dropping Dummy Ring Bombs to blow them up. Black Widow enters a specialized attack stance that deploys an energized baton staff and effortlessly dispatches multiple drones as the walls continue to close in on them. "We're running out of room!" Widow shouted.

Spidey web-yanks a shield off a Tokizoid, just in time for Ruby to slice the robot. Knuckles and Yang double-team a bulkier Tokizoid, countering its blasts with devastating flurries of punches until it explodes. Nearly all the robots are destroyed as the walls are moments away from crushing everyone. "It's getting ready to be crunch time!" quips Spidey, grunting as he, Knuckles, and Yang struggle to push back the moving walls.

"Not today!" Cap shouts as he throws his shield at the remaining Tokizoid, decapitating it and ending the trial in a nick of time.

BGM End

Instantly, the walls stop moving and a new path opens for the Avengers. "That was too close for comfort." Yang sighed.

"I'll say." said Tails. As the heroes walk down their new path, Tails stop and notice a new ancient carving on a wall, "Look! Another ancient carving!"

The heroes look at the ancient carving, which resembles a sinister dark ghostly humanoid with a body seemingly made of purple smoke and various gears that is surrounded by several purple circles. "What is that thing?" Steve asked.

'That carving is the First Devourer during its disastrous campaign to consume time.' Cia answered.

"Why does it look awfully familiar…?" Spider-Man questioned, staring deeply at the carving as it reminds him of something from his past.

"Let's keep moving." said Steve, continuing his venture through the temple, "What's the next trial?"

'Next is the test of speed. Get ready to run.' Cia warned them.

Steve raises a curious eyebrow while questioning, "Run?"

BGM-Spider-Man Unlimited (Game) OST-Boss!

Suddenly, Peter senses something coming as everyone else hears a loud noise coming from behind. They turn around and spot a gigantic stone wheel with spikes and a sinister Time Eater-like blue face rolling towards them, greatly surprising the heroes. "Right. RUN!" Steve shouted.

Spidey swings as Tails flies, while everyone else runs as fast as they can away from the rolling wheel. "What's with that giant stone!?" Knuckles shouted.

"It's like being chased by Big Wheel, only more intimidating!" quips Spidey.

"KEEP RUNNING!" Ruby shouted loudly.

As they continue running, another stone wheel rolls down a ramp to chase them. Tails screams from fear as he says, "Now there's two stones!"

"They've must've called all their friends!" Widow quips, running at her top speed while glancing back to notice a third giant wheel now chasing them.

Steve looks ahead and notice a wide watery gap between a ramp and a walkway. "Ruby, SEMBLANCE!" He loudly ordered.

"RIGHT!" Ruby retorted.

As the wheels are near to crush them, Ruby uses her Semblance to grab Cap, Widow, and Yang and fly over the wide gap and land on the safe platform. Meanwhile, Spidey, Tails, and Knuckles leap high off the ramp seconds before the wheels. "WHOA!" shouts Spidey, performing a web-zip away from the wheels.

"LOOK OUT BELOW!" yells Tails, flying away from the wheels.

"WHOOOOOAAAAA…!" yells Knuckles, gliding away from the falling wheels.

BGM End

The three heroes land safely next to their friends and watch the wheels fall into the bottomless river. 'Are you all alright? That looked close.' Cia comments with a worry tone.

Cap huffs, "We're alright. Honestly that was good exercise."

"Only you would consider a near-death experience 'exercise', Steve." Nat grinned.

"Sonic wouldn't consider that exercise. Good thing he isn't here to mock us." Knuckles quipped.

"Hey!" Yang exclaims, getting the attention of her friends while she stands in front of another ancient carving, "Look at this! Another carving."

Ruby joins her side to look at the carving, which resembles a green octopus with yellow accents. "An octopus? What weird Chronoan symbol is this?" Ruby asks with a confused face.

"Not sure, but, maybe there's more to it than meets the eye." Yang suspected.

"Maybe the Chronoans just really loved calamari." Peter quipped.

"Or egg. Look." said Widow, staring at a carving that strikingly resembles the Eggman Empire decal.

"Eggman?! How is HE connected to Chronoa?!" Tails remarks in shock.

"Cia, is there something you're not telling us?" asked Widow.

Cia pauses, remaining silent for a moment before somberly saying, '…It's…rather hard to explain.'

"Then simplify." Widow responded.

'Then you're better off completing the trials if you wish to learn the truth.' Cia replied somberly.

"Don't like the sound of that." Spidey quipped.

BGM-Sonic Riders OST-Theme of Babylon Garden

Wasting no time, the Avengers venture across the walkway until they find several highly advanced hang gliders resting on a platform near a large chasm between the river. "What's this last trial?" Steve asks the sorceress through the coms.

'The test of flight. Simply fly through a series of rings over the chasm to the end.' Cia answered, as a series of floating orange rings appear in the chasm.

"See ya at the finish line!" Spidey says to his friends, leaping off the platform and unveils his Web Wings to glider over the chasm.

Yang smiles at him, "Showoff."

Tails takes to the skies using his namesakes as Knuckles does the same with his dreadlocks. Everyone else rides a hang glider and glide through the chasm. From Spidey to Ruby, each of them flies through a ring which grants them additional speed through the air. "So far, so good!" Widow proclaimed.

Yang laughs while flying through a ring, "This is a breeze!"

"Seriously, Yang?" Ruby scolds her for that pun.

"What, it is." Yang quipped.

"Not for long!" said Steve, spotting something up ahead. Four differently-colored Tokizoids were warped onto a floating platform at the end of the chasm, with the red Tokizoid firing a barrage of fireballs at the gliding heroes. "Elemental Tokizoids at 12 o' clock!" shouted Cap, prompting the Avengers to dodge the fireballs.

"These things come in elements now?" questioned Knuckles.

The green Wind Tokizoid fires a blast of wind that manages to knock off Knuckles' hat and nearly knock the echidna himself out of the sky until he saved himself and continue gliding through rings. The blue Water Tokizoid manipulates the river below and erupts a series of water geysers in front of Black Widow, who manages to dodge most of them perfectly. Then there is the yellow Electric Tokizoid, who conjures a lightning storm and unleashes a lightning bolt down upon Yang.

"Yang! Are you okay?!" A worried Ruby asked.

Fortunately, she survived as well as her glider, but it has taken damage and is losing stability. "Fine, sis. They got some frightening aim!" Yang grunted.

The heroes are close to the end as the Wind Tokizoid blows away both Spidey and Ruby. Steve shouts, "We're in range! Tails, Knuckles, Thunder Shoot the red and blue robots!"

Knuckles smilingly scoffs as he holds onto Tails' legs, "It's always the blue one telling us what to do!" as Tails kicks him like a ball towards the Fire Tokizoid, destroying it as Knuckles bounces onto the Water Tokizoid and destroying it as well. Before the Wind Tokizoid could blow him away, Cap hurls his shield at the Electric Tokizoid, swiftly destroying it and Wind with a shield bounce.

'Your skills are amazing, both as a leader and a fighter. You would have made an excellent general in Chronoa.' Cia said in awe of Steve's skills.

"I'm fine being a captain." quips Steve with a smile, landing at the finish line alongside the rest of his friends.

"We were awesome too." Spidey quipped.

BGM-Sonic Adventure OST-The Past

With that trial done, the Avengers enter and walk through a mysterious hallway lit up by wall torches. "Think we're nearing the end of these trials." Knuckles claimed.

Then, Steve glances at the walls between them and notice something oddly familiar, "But not the end to this mystery. Look at these walls." He instructed. His friends comply and look at each wall. The right wall is drawn with a horizontal series of black spider-logos and red skull-like spider symbols set in a pattern that strikingly resemble Spider-Man and another's. And the left wall is set up the same way, but with carvings of Sonic's head, some that are colored blue and others colored light blue and looks younger. And unsurprisingly, this surprises the heroes.

"These spider-emblems look similar to yours." said Ruby, looking at the spidery-ancient carvings.

"And these ancient carvings look just like Sonic." said Tails, looking at the hedgehog's ancient carvings.

"Starting to understand why the Shaman thinks I'm a descendant of Chronoa. But…how is Sonic involved? Any of us? What do all these carvings mean?" Spidey questioned.

And as he arrives at the end of the hallway, Captain America opens a door into a large chamber and finds something big and greatly shocking. "I think I found the answer." He proclaimed.

The other heroes regroup in the chamber to find a phthalo blue gear-like spear with a purple spearhead-shaped crystal on top standing atop of a pedestal, but that is not what stuns them. It's what is behind the spear that stuns them. They stare at a mural of the temple depicting Super Sonic and Super Spider-Man fighting alongside their counterparts, Classic Super Sonic and Super Spider-Man 2099, against the Time Eater.

"No way…" Peter mutters, completely stunned at what he is staring at.

"That's you and Sonic in your Super Forms…Fighting alongside your counterparts against the Time Eater." Tails stated, just as shocked upon this discovery.

"Wh-What does this mean?" A shocked Yang questioned.

"You haven't figured it out yet?" Widow remarks with a stoic expression, having deduced the truth earlier, "The 'First Devourer' that threatened to destroy time…and the 'Golden Gods' that defeated it…Those were none other than the Time Eater and Spider-Man and Sonic in their Super Forms respectively."

"So the technology that helped build Chronoa…was from the Time Eater." Ruby deduced.

"Which was modified by Eggman and Doc Ock when they tried to use it to take over the world." Steve added.

"So, Sonic and I…Eggman and Ock…We created Chronoa?" Spidey questioned, still in shock upon this revelation.

'That is correct.' Cia answered solemnly.

"And you knew, Cia?" Spidey asked her.

'It's hard to explain a time paradox this complex. The Time Eater was obliterating time and space, causing incomprehensible damage to the universe that not even I could fix. You and Sonic's battle with the Time Eater was witnessed by my ancestors through a crack in time, and when the Time Eater was defeated, it fell through that crack and its corpse was used to create Chronoa. I owe my entire existence to you!' Cia explained.

"That is just…Man, time travel makes my head hurt." Spidey quips while shaking his head to clear his mind from this crazy revelation.

Steve places a gentle hand on Peter's shoulder and smiles, "Just relax. Don't think about it too much." He said to comfort him.

"You're right. What's done is done." Spidey replied.

"Good. Now let's take the Spear of Mira and get out of here." said Steve, approaching the Spear and grabbing it.

BGM-Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 OST-Bring on the Bad Guys

The moment Steve took the Spear, something quakes the entire chamber and it seems to be coming from the ceiling. Spidey feels his head tingling as he shouts to Steve, "Cap, get back!"

Steve rolls away just as something large and imposing crash through the ceiling and land in front of the heroes. It appears to be another Relic Guardian, with this one appearing as a massive, four-legged black and gold robot with glowing purple accents and the face of the Time Eater, and is partially made of blue crystals. "Show me the power of Mira, or be destroyed…GRAAAAAARRRGH!" The Guardian of Mira roars fiercely at the heroes.

"This must be the God the Shaman talked about. Looks like another Guardian to me." Spidey quips, summoning the Chronoblade to his hand.

The Mira Guardian creates electric whips out of its claws and lashes out at the heroes, forcing them to dodge and spread out. "Spread out and attack the legs! Widow, Tails, Yang, get its attention!" shouted Cap, hurling his shield to ricochet between its legs to stop it from moving for a bit.

"With pleasure, Cap!" quips Yang, recoiling herself into the air to deliver an explosive punch onto the Guardian's face, stunning it while Tails flies and throws Dummy Ring Bombs right at its chest. Black Widow is on the ground wielding dual pistols, repeatedly shooting the face as it doesn't flinch, only growl with fury. It tries to whip Widow several times, only for her to keep dodging. It then switches its arm whip for an arm cannon, firing a laser that blasts Widow away. While Tails dodges it whip lashes, Yang tries to punch its face again. The Guardian expected this and surprises her with a powerful mouth beam, smashing her to the wall.

Meanwhile, the combined forces of Spider-Man, Knuckles, Ruby, and Captain America are weakening its legs with impressive strikes. Having endured enough, the Guardian leaps through the air and clings on the wall and repeats this strategy, staying out of harm's way. Inbetween wall jumps, it blasts down at the heroes to prevent them from attacking it. "Cia, what can the Spear of Mira do?" Steve asked.

'It basically functions like the Chronoblade, capable of manipulating time for offensive purposes.' Cia responded.

"Good to know. Got an idea." said Cap. As the Guardian clings to the Time Eater mural, Steve points his spear at the robot and shouts, "TIME STOP!" to freeze it in time. "Spider-Man, pull it down before time resumes!" He ordered.

"Get off my mural! So says the non-Golden God!" quips Spidey, latching weblines onto the frozen guardian and struggles to pull it down with all of his strength.

"Lemme ease things up for ya!" shouts Knuckles, leaping above the robot and delivering a powerful punch that helps Spidey slam it to the ground.

"Pour it on, Avengers!" Cap leads the assault, as the heroes throw everything they have on the Mira Guardian. The Guardian tries to stand, but its legs were swiftly sliced off by Ruby, forcing it to collapse. It roars furiously at the heroes, using its electrified whips to ensnare both Steve and Peter. Then smaller energy tentacles sprout from the whips and ensnare the other heroes one by one, before the robot electrocutes everyone at the same time.

"Yang…Burn…" Ruby struggles to say while being electrocuted.

Yang understands her sister's words, enduring electrocution long enough to briefly activate her Semblance in a burst of flames, breaking free from her restraints. With eyes glowing red and hair covered in flames, she fires a devastating barrage of shots that forced the Guardian to release its hold on the heroes. Black Widow repeatedly shoots the Guardian's face, distracting it while Spidey and Cap rush towards it.

"Get the head, then I'll get the chest!" Spidey orders the captain.

"Got it!" Cap understood. He leaps towards the Guardian's face and shouts, "Wanted to see the power of Mira? Let me give you an up close demonstration!" The Guardian fires a powerful mouth beam at Cap, who blocks and pushes through the beam with his shield while imbuing his Spear of Mira with quantum energy, then impale its forehead, leaving Spidey to leap towards the Guardian's chest with the Chronoblade and impales it, utterly defeating the beast.

Both Cap and Spidey land on the ground, as the Avengers watch the Mira Guardian exploding. Spidey twirls his Chronoblade with one hand and places it on his back while Cap says, "Guess we've proven to be true Mira warriors." before the Guardian completely blows up.

Later at Nanzca Village…

BGM-Mega Man Star Force 2 OST-Whazzap Village

"For the first time in history, a group of warriors have completed the Trials of Mira and claim the ancient treasure! That group is the Avengers! PRAISE THE AVENGERS!" shouted the Shaman to his people, who cheer and praise the Avengers after they returned successfully from the Temple of Mira.

The entire village celebrates as they continue to enjoy their festival. People dance to music being sung, or chow down on the festival food. The Avengers decided to stick around for a bit, spending some time enjoying the festival before going home. Natasha drinks some soda near Ruby happily eating cookies, and Knuckles chowing down on spare ribs. Spidey, Tails, and Yang are chatting with villagers, while Cap has a conversation with the Shaman. "I feel sorry fighting your God. We accidently blew it up." Cap apologizes to the chief.

The Shaman smiles, "That is alright, Captain. We're just impressed someone bested them. And we still believe in the Golden Gods. We know that whenever something happens to the village and this world, they will awaken and save us. The Spider-Man is a sign that the shadows of Solaris has awoke and will lead the world to destruction."

"The Avengers won't let that happen! Thanks to you and your people, we are now one step ahead of our enemies." Steve retorts, materializing the Spear of Mira into his hand.

"Our God chose you for a reason, Captain America. The people of Nanzca pray for your success." The Shaman says with a formal bow.

Cap smiles, "I won't let you all down. I promise!" He vowed.

KFX Here: What a bombshell. The Chronoa Kingdom was born from the events of D-Avengers: Generations, one of my earlier stories from the end of Phase 2 (Masters of Evil Saga). Gotta love time travel and time paradoxes, and I hope you liked Knuckles and Yang's cameo appearance in this chapter. The hunt for the Sacred Treasures is nearly over.
