"Lawless I see that all of this animosity is caused by a great deal of anger and pain. I am also equally sure that you can fix your relationship with your brother if you talk about your problems, and forgive Kuro for the wrong he has obviously committed against you." Tohru
"Forgive him! You want me to forget the horrible thing that Sloth has done?" Lawless
"No. Forgiveness has absolutely nothing to do with forgetting. All forgiveness does is allow you to move on with your life even though the pain never goes away." Tohru
"And what would a school girl like you with your perfect life know about pain?" Lawless
Tohru starts to cry, and soaking wet laughter pours from her lips. After a few moments Tohru opens her eyes, frowns at Lawless, and says.
"I know what I'm talking about, because I have never forgotten the drunk driver who took my mother away from me even though I have forgiven him." Tohru
"Oh really, and what does your father say about that?" Lawless
"Nothing. He died before I was old enough to remember him." Tohru
Shock grips Lawless, and everyone else on the roof at this stunning realization. While Lawless is thinking about everything Tohru has said to him Licht pulls her into the most comforting hug possible, and says.
"You must be an angel to forgive that villain for doing something so horrible to you." Licht
Tohru smiles, relaxes in his arms, but she can't help blushing at how close she is to such a handsome man. Kuro notices the blush on Tohru's face, and is glad that Tohru is interested in getting close to someone. Kuro also notices the accompanying blush on Licht's face, and greatly looks forward to seeing how things play out between the two of them.
After awhile Lawless' phone goes off, and he sees that it is his alarm. While he reads the alarms label he says.
"Crap! It's time for work. Damn if I'm late the boss'll kill me." Lawless
"You have a job?" Tohru
"See ya." Lawless
"Wait stop. Why won't you help us please?" Tohru
"I never thought my brother's Eve would ever be such a saint. Huh." Lawless
Lawless takes off before anymore can be said. Licht turns Tohru around in his arms, and says.
"If it's ok with you? I'd like to spend more time with you." Licht
Tohru blushes, and says.
"I'd like that Jekyll." Tohru
Licht's face turns even more red at the nickname Tohru just gave him. The two of them exchange cell phone numbers, and a happy smile spreads over Licht's face at the fact that he is going to be spending more time with the girl he likes. Kuro gets a pleased look on his face at correctly guessing that something is going on between the two of them.
Back at the Hot Springs Tohru and her friends see Licht on TV. Hugh tells them what he knows about Licht saying.
"He's not very well known around here, but he's super famous back in Europe. I hear he's something of a young piano prodigy." Hugh
"There all dry." Tetsu
"I just met him earlier; He's Greed's Eve." Tohru
"Greed you say. That's to bad the boy probably won't live long enough for another concert." Hugh
"Why not?" Tohru
"Because Lawless has a habit of killing his Eve's when he grows bored of them." Hugh
Tohru gets a horrified look on her face, which doesn't go unnoticed by Hugh who says.
"Don't worry he's the only Servamp who finds pleasure in hurting his master. He's broken mind and heart. It would definitely be best not to get mixed up with him." Hugh
At that moment Tohru feels worry for Jekyll, and a large amount of sympathy for Lawless. She knew that he is in a lot of pain, but she didn't know that it was enough to cause him to break so badly. Kuro looks at Tohru, and can pretty much guess what she's thinking. He knows that Tohru has such a kind and compassionate heart that she can't help, but want to heal any pain that she finds in every heart she comes across. While Kuro finds this to be very admirable; He also thinks that it is a very troublesome disposition to have.
Licht calls Tohru, and invites her to come to his next concert. He tells his manager to reserve the seat next to Lawless for Tohru, and when his manager asks who Tohru is Licht tells him that she is his new girlfriend. His manager gets a happy smile on his face, and makes sure to reserve the requested seat immediately. Tohru arrives late to the concert, and sits in her seat as the audience is getting ready to attack. She rolls up her sleeve, and summons her weapon to defend herself. By the end of the fight Lawless had broken every Vampire in hall. At the end of the last song Licht says
"You were to noisy during my performance..." Licht
"Sorry Jekyll they just started attacking." Tohru
"It's fine Tohru. You on the other hand; You damn hedgehog I'll kill you." Licht
Licht activates his weapon, and Lawless says.
"I was just teaching these rude Vampires to be a good audience. What's wrong; Where's your gratitude?" Lawless
"Die!" Licht
Licht attacks Lawless who sends him flying into a wall. Tohru starts panicking, and says.
"You sent him flying! Is he going to be ok?" Tohru
"Oh he's fine. Don't you know Eve's are stronger than normal people? Besides if he gets hurt that easily then he's useless. Please tell me you're here for the music, and not because you're still trying to make us best buds. All you really need is Kuro." Lawless
"Both actually. I know that Kuro's strong, but this isn't the kind of thing we can do without more help." Tohru
"You don't know anything. What's wrong brother? Haven't you told her?" Lawless
Lawless pushes Tohru into a wall hard, and Kuro puts himself between Tohru and the wall, and says.
"This is a real pain." Kuro
"Kuro." Tohru
This only serves to anger Lawless who says.
"Trying to be a hero now eh Sloth? Fancy yourself as some sort of lovable main character. How annoying! You're concerned with the Why, and the When, and the Where, and What of your story. But not How you'll achieve anything, or Who you're going to become in the end. You're just spouting hollow ideals, and playing pretend. You have no real motivation. Since you're completely clueless allow me to give you a brief history lesson.-A long time ago in a certain place at a certain time. There were seven darling Vampire siblings. Then a single letter arrived for us all. It was from a supposedly neutral party called C3. The letter was a command 'Kill a certain person'. The Vampires argued amongst themselves, and it was decided we'd vote on what to do about this order. Greed, Gluttony, and Wrath were all against the killing. They wouldn't have it. Pride, Envy, and Lust were all for it." Lawless
Kuro's murderous intent began to grow all around Tohru. It got to the point where she would be swallowed up if she so much as moved. As this is happening Lawless begins telling the story again saying.
"Well then it was three against three. So what did the eldest sibling vote? What did he do when someone's life was in his hands? This is what that lazy bastard had to say..." Lawless
Kuro steps forward looking like he is ready to kill, and Lawless says.
"Wow! You really don't want her to hear this story huh? I'm kind of impressed. My poor elder brother don't think you're ever going to find any peace. You all want to forget that this ever happened. That's the thing I hate most about you idiots." Lawless
After he says this Lawless looks at Tohru, and remembers what she said about forgiveness. It makes him feel slightly bad about what he just said to his brother, but without more information he can't be certain that her insightful words actually apply to this situation.
Meanwhile the massacre at the concert hall is reported to Tsubaki by Belkia. Tsubaki sounds so sad when talking about the massacring of his subclasses. Back in the concert hall Lawless recites more lines of literature, and the two fight each other. While they are fighting the only subclass that Greed missed is hiding curled up between two rows of seats. Tohru walks in front of the aisle where the subclass is hiding. Tohru tries to stop them, and says.
"Kuro." Tohru
Kuro stops, and turns his head then someone says.
"Hey I told you to shut-up damn demons." Licht
Licht attacks to break them up, and Lawless says.
"Angel baby!" Lawless
"I'm tired of hearing your voice hedgehog." Licht
He reaches for Tohru's broom, and says.
"Give me that." Licht
Licht bends Tohru's broom into a horseshoe shape, and pins Kuro to the wall. Then he says.
"You're all to noisy, but I'll make sure you're quiet. How about a little serenade from my piano. Time to cry." Licht
The song Licht is playing makes everyone who hears it remember their most painful memories making them all cry. Just as Greed is about to attack Licht's manager comes into the hall, and says.
"Gill stop both of them!" ?
Gill knocks their heads together causing them to stop in their tracks with splitting headaches. The manager walks onto to the stage, and says.
"Good job Gilldenstern. Bravo." ?
"Ouch geese. How could my own subclass do that to me?" Lawless
"I'll kill you." Licht
Tohru runs up to Kuro, and says.
"Kuro; Are you ok?" Tohru
Tohru can tell that Kuro is definitely not ok, but there are so many emotions showing that it is giving her a headache trying to decipher them all. Despite the headache she says.
"Hello Kuro." Tohru
The remaining subclass tries to escape, but makes a noise giving himself away. He says.
"No don't kill me!" !?
"What's this? Seems like we got some leftovers here." Greed
Tohru runs over, and says.
"No please don't kill him." Tohru
"What's your problem? There's no reason to let him live, and I have no reason to listen to you anyway." Greed
"Can't you see how scared he is? He doesn't want to fight anymore so there is no reason to kill him." Tohru
Lawless chuckles, and says.
"Well I guess it doesn't matter. He's just a background extra." Lawless
With that said Greed continues walking out of the theater.
With Greed gone Tohru watches the subclass cry from Greed's cruel words unable to do anything to help. Back on the stage the manager says.
"Licht there is an entire world out there waiting to hear you play the piano. What were you going to do if you injured yourself fighting like this?" ?
Tohru walks up to them, and says.
"Uh hi." Tohru
"Oh you're that kid who sat in the reserve seat. My name is Rosen Kranz Mr. Licht's music manager. I'm just a regular human not a Vampire. This big blue guy happens to be our mascot whale Gilldenstern Lawless' subclass is the one inside the costume. You can call him Gill." Kranz
"Nice to meet you I'm Tohru." Tohru
"We'll help you with your task. Licht's piano is one of humanities treasures. It's my duty to make sure both of them are safe. The world needs his music." Kranz
"Shut-up Kranz. You don't get to decide this." Licht
"He says that, but I'll convince him just you wait." Kranz
"Thank you so much." Tohru
"Now what shall we do with this child?" Kranz
"I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!" ?
"Don't worry we're not going to, but hang on a second. I have to talk to my friends about what to do." Tohru
Licht begins to walk away, and Tohru says
"Jekyll where are you going?" Tohru
"Our date was ruined so I'm going home. I'll make sure to call you later Tohru." Licht
"Ok talk to you later then." Tohru
Licht nods, and walks away. Tohru looks at the young subclass, and says.
"Well You're just going to have to come along with me then. I have a really nice friend that you can stay with. I'm Tohru Honda." Tohru
"Hello my name is Lilac. You saved me from Greed thank you." Lilac
Lilac takes Tohru's hand, and the three of them walk out of the concert hall. While they are leaving Tsubaki takes Greed right out of the hall.
Tohru takes Lilac to the Hot Spring, and talks to Tetsu about taking care of him until a more formal decision can be made by the entire group. Tetsu agrees, and Tohru picks up Kuro who still looks really out of it. Tohru thinks that getting back to as normal a life as possible will help Kuro to open up about his problems more. When they get home Kuro curls up more into Tohru's arms, and begins to cry out all of his pain. Tohru just holds him until all his tears have stopped flowing. After that Tohru sets him down in her lap, and gets busy working on her piled up homework. After her work is done Tohru puts Kuro in his cat bed, and goes outside the tent to begin making dinner. Tohru hopes that making his favorite food will make Kuro a little bit more willing share his problems with her so she can help him get through the painful memories that he is struggling with. She knows that Kuro regrets the tragedy that Lawless was telling her about in the concert hall. It is not hard to guess what Lawless was going to say before Kuro stopped him. As Tohru thinks about the whole situation she gets the sneaking suspicion that Kuro is trying to hide it, because he doesn't want her to be disappointed in him.
While Tohru is trying to comfort Kuro her phone starts ringing, she picks it up, and says.
"Hello this is Tohru." Tohru
"Hey Tohru, This is Licht." Licht
"Jekyll I hope that your beautiful concert being ruined didn't spoil your evening." Tohru
"No it didn't, and I'm glad that you think my music is beautiful. Tohru I'm sorry if you got hurt by my angry serenade." Licht
"It was unpleasant. I won't deny that, but I've mostly recovered." Tohru
"Mostly?" Licht
"I'll probably have a good many nightmares tonight, but I'm used to it." Tohru
"You have nightmares often enough to get used to it." Licht
"Yeah. They were a nightly occurrence before I got Kuro. His cuteness shoos away all of my unpleasant dreams." Tohru
Kuro gets a pleased smile on his face, and Licht says.
"At least that demon is good for something." Licht
Tohru giggles, and Licht goes on to say.
"Would you like to go out to dinner with me tomorrow?" Licht
