SZ: Eh fair enough...but yup. We're gonna see what happened with teh others back on Earthius, because as you've seen what happened at teh end of last chapter...yea….
Z0: As is the usual, expect a lot of fighting, explosions, yelling, and some anime level nonsense.
GT: So...a typical day for these guys? *a rimshot goes off*
Z0: Yep. But enough about us, we're gonna take a seat and watch the madness from the safety of our dimension as the Writers.
SZ: Eeyup. And as always we own jack squat aside from original content, so...let us begin!
It was a day right after Goku and his team left for New Namek to make a wish on the Namekian Dragon Balls and gather up the revived Echidnas that wound up on said planet, and it seems everything as peaceful at the moment...well as peaceful as it was after the Hirudegarn attack, so everyone was doing as best they could to fix up the damage caused by the Phantom Majin. However...it seemed there was one complication that was being frequent as of late...and for a change it wasn't Eggman or his Egg Army.
"That's the fifth tremor we've had today," Sally noted as she received reports of parts of the globe having experienced tremors and small earthquakes, "What could be causing it?"
"It can't be Eggman...He hasn't even made any actions for a while now," Elias surmised as he, Sally, and Bulma were looking at some screens showing different parts of the planet.
"Sadly, we have to look at these as very real geological events. Since Goku and Vegeta aren't here to screw up the atmosphere by fighting each other." Bulma sighed.
"...No. I don't think these are natural…" Sally whispered, "...Nicole, scan some of the cracks created by the recent earthquakes."
=On it, Sally= Nicole nodded as one of the screens zoomed in on a part of the planet, showing a crack in the ground as she began to examine it =...Hmm...That's interesting…=
"What is it?"
=I'm detecting some type of energy emitting from the cracks…but it feels...off somehow=
"Oh please tell me it's not some portal to hell…" Bulma groaned, earning a few stares, "Me and Goku had a lot of weird adventures...one long story short...I was kidnapped by demons."
=...No. I don't sense any demonic energy from it= Nicole spoke, making Buma sigh a bit in relief =However this energy feels...off. Dark somehow…=
"Ugh...great. All this right after Eggman interrupted Sonic when he was fixing our Zone…" Sally groaned...before she blinked, "...Wait...what if…"
"What's wrong?" Elias asked.
"It's just a theory right now, but...what if there was a negative side effect to when Eggman interrupted Sonic when he was repairing our Zone?" Sally offered.
"This is some heavy theoretical stuff here," Bulma nodded, "But that could make sense," she typed away on a monitor, "I think maybe this has something that could help. See, a while ago Goku told me all about this powerful attack he learned called the Spirit Bomb. He says it uses Positive Life energy to destroy Evil or Negative energy." she began, "Goku claims to use it, he borrows the Positive Life Energy of the planet. But...if planets have positive energy...could they have...negative energy?"
"...Nicole?" Sally spoke.
=Scanning Sally= Nicole spoke as she began to scan the planet =?! Th...that's impossible...the readings say 75% of the planet is covered in Negative Energy...and it keeps going up!=
"So...that confirms my current fears…" Bulma muttered, "Eh...well...I don't know how to heal a planet. But maybe we can call Goku and the others and see if the Namekian Dragon can help."
=...Another problem…= Nicole spoke as the screens began to go all staticy =It seems whatever this negative energy is is interfering with our radio signals. At best, I can call the others on the planet…=
"Just great…" Elias facepalmed, "And knowing Eggman...he'll try and take advantage of this situation."
"It's fine...This is fine…" Bulma sighed trying to stay calm, "We still have Gohan and the boys. We just need to wait for Goku and the Gang to realize something's wrong...and then Goku will poof here and we can hopefully ask the Gods to help."
"Did you just say…" Elias began.
"Yeah...Goku's friends with them…" Bulma sighed, "I mean...he's kinda threatened to kill one once...but that was a tense situation. He mostly hangs around with the one who trained him to avoid Chi-Chi…"
"...Just when I think I knew everything I did about our new friends," Elias whispered, "N-nevermind. Nicole, see if you can contact the other Freedom Fighters, along with Son Gohan and the other Z Fighters."
=On it, your majesty= Nicole nodded before the screens began to turn red when the room began to shake =!? Oh no...it just shot up to 95 percent!=
"I can't believe as soon as Goku leaves the world starts to end!" Bulma complained.
"...Well...this is not good…" Eggman whispered as he looked at some flashing monitors, "The planet is covered in negative energy or something….Metal, I think I goofed big time."
"When haven't you?" Metal quipped.
"No listen! When I interrupted Sonic, I ended up causing some sort of negative side effect to the planet!" Eggman argued, "Add in the fact that both Mobius and this new world were forcibly fused only makes it worse!"
"We should move our ships to the outer atmosphere to avoid further complications," Metal noted, "Also...what else is new…"
"We can't! That stupid Vegeta took out our space engines!" Eggman snapped, "And right now I'm fearing what'll happen once it hits 100 percent...which is very close I might add!"
"What? But didn't we just fix th-...It was those kids that took the one Dragon Ball we collected with the fluffy fox Lien-Da didn't want to release, wasn't it?"
"I'm afraid so...and I used a lot of my spare repair parts to...make the Android chamber." Eggman tapped his fingers together.
"..." Metal held a hand up...before putting it to his face.
"Oh don't you give me that! I was able to turn the rest of my Egg Bosses into Androids, so I c-" Eggman began before he heard a large cracking sound, "...what was that?" he rushed back over to the screen...which began to show 100% as a crack was starting to grow on the ground he was view, "?!...Oh no...it...it's as I feared!"
"Hmm?"
"The planet is starting to break up!"
=Sally, Bulma...the planet...it's…= Nicole began as the ground began to violently shake =It's starting to break apart!=
"Wh-what?!" the two gasped before they heard a loud cracking sound, looking out to see a large wall of dark light bursting forth from outside the city facing the ocean...before suddenly it felt like the ground beneath them began to float.
"This...how? The world is just coming apart?" Bulma spoke ,shocked and confused.
=It is...it shouldn't be possible, but it is= Nicole replied as more screens popped up, showing different parts of the world lifting up =Different parts of the world are floating up...the nations Northamer, Apotos, Shamar, Mazuri, Spagonia, Chunan, Nieghpon, Holoska...they're all seperating from the planet=
"But...we're not exploding…" Bulma noted, "Oh this is the strangest thing to happen to Earth...er, Mobius...Yeah, we really need to vote on that name thing…" she turned to Sally, "But still...this isn't anything I know how to fix."
"And the Dragonballs were already used…" Sally sighed as she tried to think of something...anything, "Nicole...please tell me you managed to get ahold of the others."
=Managing to get a hold of both Krillin and Gohan=
"What are they up to?" Bulma asked.
=Let's see= Nicole replied.
=Hello?= Krillin's voice was heard =Bulma? Uh, now's not a good time. Things are really weird at the moment! And that's a falling building!=
=That's not...our only worries!= Gohan's voice grunted as the sounds of fighting could be heard =Some creatures started crawling up from the craters the moment the sun was blocked out!=
"...Gohan, please tell me they're not demons," Bulma begged.
=No, but these things are vicious!=
=Things? What th-OH MY GOD!= Krillin freaked.
=They are constantly changing, taking on new forms, and their power is immense!= Gohan spoke, =I don't know what this...is... But I don't think we can handle it without my Father!=
=I hate it when we don't have Goku!= Krillin grunted as fighting could be heard =Uh, I'm gonna hang up now! Whoa!=
"...Now monsters are starting to appear…" Sally whispered as she had a look of disbelief on her face, "Just what's happening to our world?"
"HA!" Gohan shouted as he fired an energy blast at a horde of deep-dark blue and dark aqua lizard-like creatures with darkness coming off the spikes on their backs, the deep-dark blue ones having a serrated blade on their heads and ends of their tails while the dark-aqua pens had a single blade. Once the energy blast struck a few of the hordes, they dissipated into black smoke as it went into the cracks nearby, more of the creatures starting to crawl up through the cracks, "Not good…"
Gohan grunted and flipped back before landing a distance away. He growled before charging energy into his hands. He swung both forward, causing a series of explosions across the ground and knocking the monsters back. He grunted and jumped back again as he began powering up once more. He raised his hands up and powered into Super Saiyan. He held his hands over one another before swinging them down and unleashing his Masenko blast.
A screeching sound soon caught his attention. Looking down at the cracks below, he saw a massive horde of deep-dark green and neon-blue bee-like creatures with darkness flowing off them flying right towards him, their large arrow-like stingers aiming straight at Gohan.
"Now Bees?" he asked before thrusting his hands and unleashing a barrage of ki bullets, shooting them down, "Do these things just change until they find something to destroy their enemies?"
"Bleck! Buu no like how shadowy things taste!" Buu's voice gagged.
"Even Buu is having trouble with them…" Gohan whispered, "Just what are these th-GH!" he grunted as he suddenly felt his strength tapping, "M...my strength...what's…" he looked at the corner of his eye, seeing a dark-purple wizard-like creature holding its neon-blue staff up, the end of it giving off dark energy as it looked up at him, "Another one...just how many of these things are here?"
"HIYAH!" Videl shouted as she delivered a flying kick to the wizard-creature's head, sending it flying back as it dropped its staff, "Gohan!"
"My energy…" he blinked, "Thanks Videl…" he sighed, "So...magic too." he grunted.
They looked up at the creature as it reached for its staff...only to look up as something large suddenly fell on it. Crushing it. Gohan and Videl blinked as Buu sighed and stood back up, his face comically squished in as if by something big having hit his head. Buu took a moment to grab his head antenna and fix himself.
"Big Monsters now." Buu pointed to where he came from.
Walking towards them were much larger Monsters. These ones cycloptic, with rings of spikes around the shoulders and across their chests. Their spikes form flaming patterns that frame it's head, with long and powerful arms that reach to the ground decorated with spikes around its wrists. It's dark smoke decorated it's shoulders adding to this infernal image as it looked more like fire. This one had taken the trunk of a large tree and fashioned it into a club.
"I guess Buu made them get serious…" Gohan muttered.
"Buu not like you! Buu beat you!" Buu complained as steam escaped from the holes on his head.
The giant monster growled and swung down slamming the ground with its club, making the trio of fighters fly up and away from the impact center. It growled swinging up in an attempt to knock them out of the air. It swung at Videl only for Gohan and Buu to punch the club, splintering it into nothingness. The two grunted and punched again, striking the beast and making it stumble back. The two cupped their hands together in the pose of their iconic move learned from Goku.
"Kamehame...HA!" Gohan roared as Buu copied him. The two fired off a large blue and pink beam respectively. The combined beam struck the giant and tore it apart before carrying on and wiping out another horde of the monsters before they could even escape the cracks.
"...That should be all of them for now," Videl whispered, "...Right?"
"I hope so…" Gohan whispered as he looked at the cracks, seeing one creature trying to crawl up from the cracks before it hissed back when sunlight hit it, "But it seems they hate the sunlight…"
"That e-" Videl began as she looked at Gohan, only to blink a few times, "...uh...Gohan?"
"What?"
"You...you have a tail."
"Tail?" he blinked as he flinched feeling something brush against his arm, he looked back and sure enough, a bushy monkey tail was swaying around behind him, the appendage seeming to have ripped through the back of his pants. Gohan gawked for a few minutes as his tail swished around, he himself slowly remembering how to control this appendage he hadn't had since childhood, "My tail!" he shouted.
"Your...tail…" Videl blinked.
"I lost this years ago!" he laughed, honestly excited to have this back, remembering how useful it was to him as a child after learning how to control it from his father, but his face suddenly paled, "Oh no...my tail's back…"
"Wait...you were born with a tail…" Videl muttered.
"Well...yeah...it's a thing Saiyans have. Goten never had one though...or Trunks...but Vegeta and my dad claim this is totally natural." he explained as he swung his tail and wrapped it around his waist and looped it around at its base, making it into a belt, "But Mr. Piccolo yanked my tail off years ago...and we made sure it would stop growing back."
"Why?" Videl asked, "I mean...it's just a tail. It's weird...but I don't dislike it." she smiled.
"Ah...well...besides it being a weak point...while we have tails...we can't look at the full moon." he explained, "Otherwise we grow into Oozaru, and for me? I'll lose all sense of self and rampage." he explained, "The only one who can control that form is Vegeta."
"...Oozaru..that's that giant ape thing you told me about once, right?"
"Hai."
"...yeah. I think we better make sure you don't see a full moon tonight then."
"I'll probably yank this off later…" Gohan mumbled.
"Buu blow up moon?" Buu offered.
"No!" Gohan panicked, "That's a bad idea, Buu!"
"Buu still gonna think about it," the pink creature pouted as one last creature prepared a sneak attack, only for a cutlass and a robotic fist to strike at the same time and destroy it.
"We done go away t' see mah uncle and aunt for a bit and we come home t' th' planet breakin' apart and weird creatures comin' out of them cracks," Bunnie sighed, "Why ain't I surprised, Sugah 'Twan?"
"It is, 'ow you say, a cucumber of a predicament," Antoine noted before raising a brow at Gohan's tail/belt, "That is quite ze furry belt."
"Huh...Oh, this isn't a belt," Gohan smiled while uncurling his tail, "Hehehe...my tail grew back." he scratched his head as the Mobians just stared in awe, they knew Gohan was supposedly half alien. But...this was the first proof of such claims besides his Super Saiyan transformation, "It seems to have...grown back. Which should be impossible. My master cauterized it to prevent its regrowth." he explained as his tail wiggled around happily.
"...Oh zut alors...This is gonna cause some headaches, isn't it?" Antoine asked with a sigh.
"Big time," Gohan nodded, "Whatever happens, make sure I don't see the full moon." he warned, "Or I'll turn into a monster. If worse comes to worse, Antoine, you need to slice off my tail, as close to the base as possible."
"Pardon?" Antoine asked with wide eyes.
"If it gets cut off, I'll change back to normal," Gohan explained.
"Very well. If zere is no other option, I will cut off your tail," Antoine nodded.
"You replied to that really fast," Videl gawked.
"We're war veterans still going through a war," Bunnie replied, "We tend to start rolling with things to help overcome what's goin' on."
"Thanks. Believe me that if this wasn't important, I'd never ask you to do something so weird. But my Dad's race has...ah...one more transformation," Gohan explained, "It's more of a last resort that lets us become a Giant Beast...but...I can't control it. My being half human might mean I can't control that power." he wrapped his tail back around his waist, "This is also kind of a weak spot. Pulling on it can cause me to lose motor-functions."
"Wait...so to stop one of the strongest people in the galaxy...we just need to tug on his fuzzy tail?" Videl asked with a smirk.
"...Videl, no…" Gohan whispered as he began to inch away from her.
"Videl, yes…"
"Ha!" Goten shouted, shooting a beam as he took down multiple monsters. He floated down as Haseo was clinging to his back, "I think that was the last of them." he sighed, dispersing his aura, "So...bright side...no school. Dark side...monsters…"
"Emphasis on dark…" Haseo gulped as he saw more monsters beginning to crawl out of the cracks.
"Okay...I'll just blow 'em all up again!" Goten spoke while charging up his aura, "I know mom says not to shoot while in town but this is an emergency! Kamehame...HA!" He fired his father's signature beam as he cleared the path ahead of monsters once more. He then flinched from how much damage he actually caused, "...oops."
"Oh dear…" Haseo whispered before tensing when he saw a large shadow looming over him and Goten, "...k….k….k…"
"What?"
"K...Kyojin!" Haseo freaked as the two turned, seeing the large cycloptic monster looming over them, about to slam its club on them before…
=LASER!=
"?!" the two tensed just as a cyan laser shot by and hit the monster right in the eye, making it roar out in pain as it collapsed onto its back.
"Whoa…" Goten awed, before yelping as the monster tried to get up, "Ah!" he panicked, blasting it with a burst of ki from both hands dispersing it away.
"That was close…" Haseo sighed in relief, "...demo, who…"
"Psst!" the two turned to see Whisper poking out from a nearby corner, motioning them to follow her.
"..." Goten looked at Haseo and pointed at Whisper.
"..." Haseo's white tail twitched and Goten beamed.
"Okay!" Goten beamed as he ran over, "Thanks for that!"
Whispered nodded as the three began to run, the wolfess firing back at any of the creatures as they began to slowly reform and crawl out of the cracks.
"Oh man...this is a real mess," Krillin sighed, looking at the events going on outside.
"No kidding. One day we're invaded by a giant demon space bug; the next we're being attacked by shadowy monsters," Yamcha added.
"I'm just glad 18 and Marron are held up at Bulma's place." Krillin spoke.
"Isn't your wife like stronger than both of us if we did that fusion thing?" Yamcha pointed out.
"Yes, but she's currently trying to help Marron calm down and help keep the place safe."
"Woman has her priorities," Jem noted as Pari nodded in agreement.
"She's a great mom," Krillin chuckled...before he and Yamcha yelped and jumped back on seeing the two, "How the heck did you two get in here?!"
"We're kunoichi. Sneaking in without notice is our specialty," Jem winked, "That and you left the door unlocked."
"You know I didn't take Goku that seriously when he said his new neighbors were Foxy Ninjas…" Yamcha muttered.
"?!" Jem and Pari flinched.
"Okay...How'd ya know the nickname me and Sis made up when we were teens?" Jem asked as Pari covered her blushing face with her hands.
"He's Yamcha...He doesn't know a lot," Krillin argued, earning a punch to his shoulder.
"I swear that's how Goku worded it." Yamcha complained.
"Oh...fair I guess."
'Can't Goku-san read minds?' Pari asked.
"...I swear if he did, I'm sneaking some laxatives into his next meal," Jem frowned.
'...Okay, moving on,' Pari 'spoke' quickly before signing to the two men, 'We were in town to get some scrap metal from the junkyard and then those monsters began to show up in cracks. Jem wanted to pummel them with a soccerball, but I convinced her to come find you two since Goku-san says you're both strong fighters.'
"Well, that's nice of him," Yamcha grinned.
"And that his wife is a badass that we'd love to meet," Jem added, making the two slump.
"Yeah, that sounds like Goku's bluntness…" Krillin sighed, "But it's nice to see some friends in all this craziness. Without Goku, I'm kinda concerned about what could happen. Normally, if anything ever went wrong...he'd show up to save us."
"Even when he died," Yamcha added, "I swear it felt like he was always watching out for us."
"Oh yeah," Krillin nodded in agreement before he noticed Tien staggering in, panting as he held his arm, "?!"
"I managed to repel as many of the beasts I can," Tien panted as he leaned against the wall before Pari was beside him, ruffling through her tail until she pulled out a Capsule and clicked it, letting it go off in her hand to reveal a small box that she opened and pulled a Senzu Bean out of, "Where'd you get that?"
'Skye-san asked Goku-san for a few for us to carry in emergencies,' Pari explained with one hand as she offered the bean with the other.
"It was easy to get some extra since apparently Korin-sama is a sucker for a good fish," Jem added.
"Yeah, that sounds like him," Krillin muttered.
"Still…" Tien sighed while he ate the offered bean, "Those monsters just keep coming, and each time I destroy a few, they make a new type just to see if they can get me with that. The Wizard looking ones are the hardest…"
"They got wizards now…" Krillin sighed, "I hate magic."
"Eh, it's hit or miss with our clan," Jem shrugged.
Pari gave a muted sigh as she put the Capsule away and leaned against the window. She just wanted to have a nice day. Get some scrap metal from the junkyard to turn into new tools back home, go to a nice place to eat for lunch, secretly watch the baseball team practice, and then have a nice strawberry cheesecake before going home.
"If we had the Dragon Balls, we could maybe ask Shenron what all this is and then fix it. But timing really likes to bite us in the but." Krillin went on, "Dende said he's been working on shortening the recharge time...but we'd still need to find the balls for him first to fix 'em."
"Meaning for now, we're stuck with a mystery," Tien snorted.
"Ugh...I hate those," Yamcha groaned before spotting something, "?! WATCH OUT!"
He ran over and grabbed Pari before pulling her out of the way just as one of the hornet monsters crashed through the window and struck Yamcha's shoulder. Jem gawked as Yamcha let out a grunt before Tien blasted the wasp with a ki blast.
"Bees now?!" Krillin complained.
"Yamcha, you and Pari okay?" Tien asked, lowering his hand.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Yamcha assured, rolling the shoulder he had been stabbed in, "See? Hey, Pari, you o…" he looked at the grey fox to see her shivering, "You okay?"
"Oh-hoh-hoh~You lucky shonen you~" Jem giggled, blushing a little.
"What?" Yamcha pondered before Pari's lips latched onto his, "Mmm?!"
"Oh right…" Krillin bopped his head, "You guys have that rule thing! Like with Sonic and Roll!"
"Yep!" Jem giggled as the two parted, Pari mutedly panting before she walked over to Yamcha, "But there's a catch to his."
"Wh-What?" Yamcha asked before Jem kissed him as well.
"Uh twins are a packaged deal," Jem winked.
"Huh…" Krillin and Tien blinked, "Well, that was informative." both shared looks, "Will you stop copying me? I'm serious. Quit it."
'Um...The monsters?' Pari signed only to realize only Jem was paying attention as Krilling and Tien were arguing for the other to stop talking at the same time as the other and Yamcha had collapsed, his eyes wide and steam coming out of his head.
"Give everyone a second," Jem replied.
"And another thing! I was bald before it was cool!" Krillin and Tien complained before both aiming their hands out and blasting another swarm of monsters knocking them away.
"Right so let's run now." Krillin sighed.
"Couldn't agree more." Tien smiled. He then walked over and grabbed Yamcha before slapping him a few times bringing him back to his senses, "Snap out of it! We got a world to save, so worry about where you'll all live together when the world isn't falling apart."
"Ow!" Yamcha cried in pain.
"Yeah, you're gonna need to stay near them so they don't get hurt by their own Ki," Krillin added.
"Wait, wha…?" he blinked.
"Look, I didn't pry since it seems kinda personal, but all I know is you have a set distance you can have between you and them before this new spiritual bond begins hurting them. So rule of thumb...stick close," Krillin explained.
"What're ya orders?" Jem asked as she and Pari mock-saluted Yamcha.
"Wait, will this ruin the baseball season?"
"We wanna join."
"Huh?"
"Okay, yeah. He's kinda useless till he sorts this out." Tien sighed.
"Cut him some slack. Getting a wife via rescue is one thing...but two...any man would be overwhelmed," Krillin argued, "Come to think of it...I don't think I've ever come across a Human-Mobian couple…"
"We're trendsetters!" Jem laughed before Pari gave her a look, "...ulp...uh…" she started to sweat a little, "Oh man, why are you the master of the Hard Stare? Alright, alright! Let it up! We'll deal with monsters now!" she picked up Yamcha and threw him over her shoulder, "Andale!"
"You realize you're gonna have to be the one in total control of this, right…" Tien looked at Pari.
'What else is new?' Pari deadpanned.
"Let's just get going, before I say something stupid," Krillin spoke as he ran out their exit.
"Why is it so hard to contact the others…?" Bulma groaned, "Though...maybe we could boost the signal if we could get out into space."
=We would either need a space vessel or Shadow for Chaos Control= Nicole noted.
"And we can't afford to remove him from the field. He's right now one of our strongest," Sally sighed, "Didn't you have one of your old space ships here?"
"Yeah, but I have a bad feeling about what could happen if we went up into orbit..." Bulma muttered, "If only we had something totally expendable we could use...or...someone." she blinked, "Someone whom we wouldn't mind possibly dying in a horrible crash if their attempt to reach space were to fail…whom we could trick due to be smarter then,"
=You want to sacrifice Eggman, don't you?= Nicole blinked.
"...Maybe."
=I'm okay with it…= Nicole coyly muttered.
"Are you sure we could even trust him to do this right?" Sally asked in concern.
"Do it right? No. Do what I expect him to do to save his own sorry skin, which I can then exploit...yes," Bulma smiled.
=Have I mentioned I really enjoy when Bulma has an idea that makes Eggman look like an idiot?= Nicole giggled.
"I enjoy that as well," Sally smirked, "So what's the plan?"
"If I'm right, Eggman's flying fortress of stupid can't take off beyond our lowest atmosphere...after Vegeta blasted it once while bored," Bulma explained, "I'll pretend to contact him claiming he's my only hope to contact Goku and the others, by offering him what he needs to fix his ship. However the tech will in fact let me use his stupid ship as a beacon to transmit our signal out into space beyond this dark energy. With the added benefit of once this is all done...I flip a switch...and boom." she smiled, "That or the whole thing fails and he goes down with the ship. Either way...I call it a win." she smiled.
"That is...amazing."
=How will we know he won't find out what your tech does?= Nicole asked.
"Oh that's easy. I'll make it myself and make sure to disguise my stealth programming as my usual Capsule Corp encryption code, letting Eggman think he could hack my computers, when in fact I'll hack into his." Bulma explained, "And to be sure he or his beloved Metal Sonic can't find it..." she pulled out the Scouter she had fixed ages ago for her own purposes, "I'm gonna write it in alien code. Or, rather, we since Nicole writes it much faster than I can and we need this done yesterday."
=Oh, an alien code? That will be interesting to learn= Nicole noted.
"It's the one I took off Goku's brother. I was able to study and repair it, and replicate some of the alien coding used by the people who made it." Bulma explained, "It's a perfect communication network. With your help, I might just be able to turn it into our own personal network, one that can contact anyone anywhere without fail."
=Quite the challenge. I accept it with open arms!= Nicoel beamed.
"Let's work fast." Bulma smiled.
"Oh this is not good. Not good at all!" Eggman ranted, "How am I supposed to conquer a broken up planet?! I'd never be able to build Eggmanland or rebuild Robotropolis!"
"Can't you fix it?" Metal asked
"You always say you're so smart, boss," Tundra muttered, "You went and upgraded us...and now we got squat to take over."
"I don't know! I don't fix stuff! I just make it...eh...do that." Eggman motioned to a monitor showing the state of the planet, "I hate to admit it...but it's Sonic who fixes these messes. That and Goku, but they left the planet...so now we have no world. And unless we can fix this thing...we're doomed with this planet….wait! What if..." he began excitedly...before groaning, "That's right...I need Albert to recreate the Genesis Wave Generator...and I need Chaos Emeralds to power it up, of which I don't know exactly where they are!"
"So...we are doomed…" Metal replied simply.
"Stop being such a Negative-Nancy!" Eggman complained.
"It's not like some miracle will just fall into your hands," Metal rolled his optics before all their monitors were suddenly taken over by an image of Bulma and Sally.

"...It's not like some mackerel will just fall into your hands," Tundra spoke, looking at the sky before frowning at Metal, "Why did you get your tempt of fate?"
"AH! The wife of Widows peak!" Eggman shouted.

=Shh-shh-shhh...grown up is talking= Bulma hushed =Look, the world is going down fast, and I need to contact Goku and the gang to come back and help us save it. Now I don't have a means of getting into the outer orbit to make that call. Or rather, I don't have the ship. Where as you have the ship...but lack the parts to make the journey. So...how about we make a little deal? I let you borrow my vastly superior tech, and you go make a quick phone call to my husband and friends, tell them to come back, save the world, maybe stop by and pick up some Milk along the way=
"What...superior...but...I am not your secretary! I am Dr. Eggman! What makes you think any tech of yours is superior to mine?" Eggman snapped.
=Hmm...hmmm...yes, I can see that by the superior tech used to fix that crack in your window...oh wait, that's cheap flextape…= Bulma muttered =Look Eggy...I don't have time to play this little ring-around you and Sonic do. I am a smart person, with a life=

"Wha...you mean besides the aura of dark energy that could kill us?!" Eggman pointed.
"Wait, what?" many of his now Android Soldiers asked hearing this for the first time.
=I mean...I see no loss with that…= Bulma shrugged, =But...I am out of options...so how's about I let you keep my space engine afterwards?= she sighed annoyed now.
"Why would I call back Sonic and Goku...least of all that Husband of yours? He's been very vocal about how he wants to kill me...and it apparently involves a pig now!"
"Wait, a-a pig?" Tundra asked, "When'd she say something about a pig?"
"I think he's calling himself a pig," Metal noted.
"Shut up!" Eggman shook a fist at them.
=Fine, if you're not smart enough to use my technology, I'll just have to wait this out in my fortified home, protected by the world's strongest fighters and heroes 'till Goku and Sonic's team come back on their own= Bulma sighed =All while you are stuck in the air in that dingy damaged ship. Might be a lot safer up in space…=
"Not smart enough?" Eggman repeated, his eye twitching, "Not...smart...enough?" he slammed a fist on the table, cracking it as he glared at her, "You think that you can simply say that and get away with it? The last one who said that to me? Well...let's just say that before your Dragon Balls and you folk appeared, it was one of the last things she remembered before her memories were erased and her body filled with toxins as she and many of her kind were turned into an energy source for my army...after I outsmarted their tech."
=Oh that's cute...you think I'm scared of you…= Bulma yawned =Listen here. My husband can blow up a planet with a flick of his finger...and he bows down to me now= she growled, leaning forward as Eggman flinched back a bit =You don't intimidate me, and you never will. So either pick yourself up and help fix the world you broke, or I swear I'll find you...and I will turn you into a living roomba to clean my carpets...do you understand me?!=
"Yes Ma'am!" he cried out while falling back, "What just happened...I was...I was in the zone...and then...she kicked me out of the zone...and took the zone…"
=So do you want the tech or not Eggy?= Bulma crossed her arms, =I mean no skin off my nose. But I'd think about it faster. At this point, do your goons even have reason to follow you if the worlds doomed anyway?=
"She's not wrong...the only reason they haven't tried to mutiny...is they are either too stupid...or panicking…" Metal pointed out.
"...Metal, destroy all the monitors and speakers," Eggman ordered.
=Wait, what?=
"I refuse your offer. Simple as that."
=Okay, bye= Bulma said, hanging up before Metal shot the screen.
"Darn. I wanted to do it before she hung up," Metal noted.
"What does she mean by 'okay'?!" Eggman asked.
"I believe…"
"Oh, I get it...she honestly thinks I can't use her own stupid tech for my own purposes! Well, I'll show her! Everyone! We're raiding her place for those engines!" Eggman ordered.
"...She used reverse psychology…" Metal finished after Eggman left, "...May as well use this to advance our own tech."
"And now they are gonna try and steal it." Bulma smiled.
"How do you know that?" Sally asked.
"Oh please...the moment I realized he buckled like any other man, I knew he was dumb enough to fall for a Reverse Psychology 101 trick." Bulma chuckled, "I use it on Vegeta all the time to make him go to Trunks's school PTA meetings. This way Eggman will rush to save his fragile pride and ego, take my engines, which I and Nicole have spiked with an alien code that will let us hack into his network, and boost our signal to reach Goku and the others." she explained, "Trust me, sweetie...Men...are very easy. Annoying...but easy."
=...I am both impressed...and terrified= Nicole stated.
"You girls have a lot to learn about how to handle boys," Bulma smiled, "But don't worry, I love teaching."
"Right," Sally nodded before one of the screens began to ring.
=Sally, it's Bunnie= Nicole informed.
"Put her through," Sally answered.
=Sal Gal? Can y'all hear me?=
"Thankfully," Sally sighed, "What's going on?"
=Did y'all know that Saiyans apparently have tails? Monkey tails at that?=
"Bef pardon?" Sally blinked at that.
"How do you know that?" Bulma blinked, "The guys lost their tails years ago…" she paused, "...No…"
=Well if'n they lost 'em years ago, then mind explainin' why Sugah 'Han has a monkey tail now, Bul Gal?= Bunnie asked.
"That...oh no...he told you about the moon, right? No matter what, don't let him look at the moon!" Bulma ordered, "Oh...now the tails are back...it's like the planet itself is doing everything it can to make things worse."
"Why is this bad?" Sally asked.
"Okay. Goku and Gohan were some of the sweetest kids I ever met, just pure and good," Bulma began, "But while their tails were there...and they looked at the full moon...they turned into the most horrible monster I've ever seen. They can't control this power. The only one who knew how was Vegeta. Vegeta told me this transformation of theirs just fills their minds with the desire to kill and destroy."
=I can see why Vegeta can control it= Nicole deadpanned.
"The irony is...you're not wrong…" Bulma sighed, "But that's the point, Goku and Gohan...they just can't handle it. They are too nice...and they will become the greatest dangers to the planet if they transform into this Oozaru thing. But the thing that scares me...is Goku could have destroyed the world when he was 12...Goku now can literally wipe out this whole Galaxy if he misfires a sneeze...and Gohan's almost as strong..."
=Right. No full moons for Sugah 'Han= Bunnie audibly cringed.
"It's for the safety of everyone we make sure of that." Bulma spoke, "If possible you should tell him to get rid of it now."
=I am doing so right now!= Antoine shouted in the background =Zat is I could if...if…! Monsieur Gohan, be standing still your tail please!=
=I'm trying!= Gohan yelped =It's like my tail has a mind of its own!=
=Uh Bulma...we'll get back to you after we've dealt with the tail that is somehow much stronger than all of us…= Videl spoke up.
"...Of this forbodes poorly…" Bulma whispered.
"Come on! Stand...still…!" Gohan grunted as he tried to keep his tail steady.
"Is this normal?" Videl asked.
"No...as a kid it never did anything like this!" Gohan explained as his tail wiggled out of his grip.
"Well if I can just cut it, v-OW!" Antoine yelped when Gohan's tail smacked him, "..Did your tail just smack me?"
"I'm s-ow!" Gohan yelped when his tail slapped him, "Oh you little…!"
"What is-Oof!" Antoine grunted as the tail slapped him again, "You realize...zis means war…" at that he tackled at the tail...and as a result Gohan as the two tumbled around the ground.
"The tail's still winning isn't it?" Videl sighed covering her eyes.
"Yep." Bunnie nodded.
"How's it...doing this!?" Gohan grunted, both him and Antoine now trying to keep his tail still.
"I do not know, but I am going t-" Antoine began before Gohan's tail smacked him off, "Zut alore!"
"Okay what the heck is up Gohan?" Videl asked.
"I swear I'm not doing it...it's like my tail is trying to protect itself!" Gohan grunted, "Is this a side effect to that dark energy coming out of the planet?!"
"How do you figure?" the girls blinked still not sure how this stuff worked.
"My Dad says Ki can come in good and bad." Gohan explained standing up, "Good Ki is what we normally use, and it's how he powers his strongest attack the Spirit Bomb. It destroys Evil or dark Ki, as maybe the planet is unleashing so much Dark Ki...my body is absorbing it. Via...my tail." he blinked, "Yes...that actually makes sense. Saiyan tails absorb energy, it's how we take in Blutz Wave radiation to transform..."
"Zat explains it…" Antoine whispered, "...But, what would happen if there is no full moon out, but you end up absorbing moer of zis dark energy?"
"I don't think it will change me…" Gohan explained, "But...I don't want to risk going Super Saiyan right now if I'm right…" he muttered, "Super Saiyan is a state where anger is turned into amazing power...the only reason we can remain normal is because of how we trained to control it."
"Ahh...yeah. It's probably best not to transform for now," Videl noted.
"What about ze thing where your cowlick flips sides?" Antoine pointed out.
"Well that form is different…" Gohan blinked.
"Ah think we better save it fer later," Bunnie suggested, "For now..let's see if we can find and help anybody that's been hurt or is trapped."
"Right." Gohan sighed as his tail wrapped itself around his waist again, just before it did so it seemed to gesture at Antoine as if taunting him.
"...I am watching you…" Antoine whispered to himself, glaring at Gohan's tail as he, Videl and Bunnie began to follow.
"Hup!" Goten grunted as he ripped the door off a car letting a family escape, "Phew...and this is why I prefer flying." he looked around, "Haseo!? Anybody else to save?!" he shouted before aiming his hand and blasting a monster in the face.
"Ano…" Haseo whispered as he looked around, spotting some people trapped inside a store with a wrecked car blocking the entrance, "There! I th-"
=CUBE!=
"?!" Haseo tensed as Whisper hopped over, her weapon now having a blue energy hammer on it as she used it to smack the car away, "...Sugei..."
"Run...we'll cover your escape," Whisper told the crowd of scared people, a cyan light coming out from underneath her cloak as it went into her weapon as a blue-light soon left it.
=LASER!=
"Uh-oh…" Goten tensed as another giant appeared, he looked back at the people who were still running before turning back to the monster as he landed in front of it. He stood his ground as his hair began raising up as he transformed into Super Saiyan, he growled as he charged up his aura before blocking the giant monster's punch, the ground behind him cracking, but the one pushed back was the monster. He grunted and punched the monster's fist, sending it and the beast skidding back before slamming into a building.
"There's too many…" Whisper noted, seeing more of the giants stomping in with some of the smaller enemies starting to come out.
"Kaa...mee…" Goten began as his aura began glowing blue, "Haa...Mee…" he went on chanting as he unleashed more of his power, "HA!" he thrust his arms out unleashing the blast at full force. The beam swallowed up the monsters, many of the smaller ones destroyed while the giants were able to resist longer. Goten grunted as he kept his attack going while the giants slowly walked through the attack.
Whisper ran over to help only to stop as her weapon began shaking. She stopped and looked down before the blue light shot out...and into Goten. Suddenly the Kamehameha became tighter and more laser like, now tearing through the giants, leaving only chunks that began to dissipate as the beam died down. Goten blinked as his aura remained blue while still in his Super Saiyan state, he blinked and looked at his hands before the light left his body and returned to Whisper's weapon, making her look up and down between weapon and super powered half-alien child.
"That...was...Awesome!" Goten cheered unaware what just happened.
'...Did...did Cyan just…' Whisper blinked for a moment, her eyes opened a bit as she looked at the light underneath her cloak for a moment, '...Just when I thought these people couldn't get more…' she quickly shook her head, 'No...don't get too attached.'
"Nee-san you saw that right! I went all blue-y and then things went boom and dokan!" Goten beamed excitedly.
"Hai. Demo...what was that cyan light that went into you?" Haseo asked.
"Hmm? What cyan light?" Goten asked innocently while tilting his head to the side.
"...n-nevermind," Haseo whispered as he looked around, "I think we rescued all the people we could find here."
"Cool!" Goten raised his arms as he powered down. They all then heard a deep growling noise making Whisper and Haseo tense and look around, before looking to Goten who'd fallen over, "Hungry…"
"Ah! H-hold on," Haseo spoke as he began to search into one of his tails, "I think kaa-san gave me some food in case we're lost."
"Food…" Goten groaned out in a tone as if he was dying.
"It's okay...Saiyan's just eat a lot…" Haseo sighed knowing how his friend acted when hungry.
"Haseo...I want you...to have my pet robots if I don't make it…" Goten groaned, "bleh!" he turned his head while sticking his tongue out.
"Ahh!" Haseo panicked, now randomly throwing stuff from his tail as he tried to find his food, "H-hang on, Goten!"
"So much…" Whisper noted, surprised at how much was in his tail somehow.
"...Mmm...was hoping to save one box for later, demo…" Haseo began as he pulled out a large bento box full of lo mein noodles with different types of meat and vegetables in it, opening it slowly as the scent soon reached Goten's nostrils.
"?! FOOD!" Goten exclaimed as he shot up, taking the bento before breaking apart the chopsticks and began to gorge down.
"Phew…" Haseo sighed, "Now more than ever we need Goten at full power."
"...?" Whisper just blinked before looking down at Haseo, "...why…?"
"I was debating whether to give him my lo-mein or the bakers dozen of blueberry glazed donuts I have on me," Haseo answered, "...please don't tell kaa-san I've been sneaking donuts again."
"Mmmm...Mmmm," Goten gave a thumbs up, his mouth currently full of noodles as he slurped them down.
"...I just hope Kaa-san and the others are safe," Haseo whispered, his ears drooping in worry.
"..." Whisper looked on for a moment, resisting the urge to just give the younge fox a comforting hug.
"Mmm…" Goten slurped up a large amount of noodles, and chewing and swallowing in an instant, "It'll be okay!" he smiled earning their attention, "My Kaa-san is strong and so is yours! They'll be fine until we find 'em. And then...we wait for my dad to come back and punch all the monsters, and your dad to find out how to fix everything! We just gotta wait, and not get scared." he raised his fist up towards Haseo, "Besides, you got me and Shy Awoo-neesan! We'll keep each other safe till then!"
"...sh...shy-awoo?" Whisper repeated, a bit taken back by the nickname.
"I like the name!" Goten smiled happily, before holding his fist up closer to Haseo, "You'll see...everything works out. Cause My Dad is amazing! He's The First Super Saiyan! He always saves the day cause he's the strongest!" he smiled, "And your dad is the smartest, so if he tells my dad what to do, no problem right!"
"...hai…" Haseo smiled, his ears perking up as he bumped his fist against Goten's, "No problem…"
Whisper looked on with a small smile as the boys laughed. In a way, it reminded her of memories..memories she long since cherished of some old friends of hers. Friends...she would love to see once more...but she knew Eggman and him would just steal that happiness away from her again.
"...Daijoubu?" Whisper looked to see Haseo looking at her in concern, "You're crying…"
"...just...memories is all," Whisper replied, wiping the small tears away as she took a calming breath, "Come...let's find a place to stay for the night…" she looked on at the evening sun beginning to set within the dark clouds in the sky, "Those creatures..I have a feeling they're much stronger at night."
"Got it!" Goten nodded as he finished his meal, "I'll just fly us somewhere safe!"
Whisper just nodded as Goten grabbed onto Haseo, the young Saiyain flying up as the wolfess reached up and grabbed his free hand. Normally she'd be hesitant on close contact, but given the current situation...she'd need to fight through it.
"Hmm…" Shadow mused to himself as he looked out at the streets, they'd cleared civilians but now that it was becoming darker, the monsters seemed to grow more dangerous and wild. Thankfully, it seemed they only targeted living life forms so they did not senselessly destroy the city while no targets were around, "Darkness empowers them...meaning we'll have to hide during the night. Even now, I can tell facing large swarms in the dead of night...even I will struggle. Sonic, Vegeta, Goku…" he looked at the sky, "Hurry. I don't know how long I can protect the world alone." he snapped his fingers and stopped one of the monsters from getting past a line he set up via blasting its head off. He then blinked and looked up to see Eggman's ship, "Just as Bulma planned." he smirked.
"Okay Metal listen. I want you to sneak in and grab the parts I need to get off this planet and into some safe distance in the atmosphere," Eggman ordered as he looked at Metal Sonic and a horde of Eggpawns, "And If anyone gives you trouble..you have my permission to knock them out. Not kill..Knock them out. If Widow's Peak learned I harmed his son..or worse his wife? ...Yeah. I'm not risking that thank you very much!"
"Good call...as Anger seems to make Saiyans even stronger," Metal noted.
"Now be fast! Who knows how many of these fighters she's gathered here to protect them," Eggman added, "Then...from the safety of near space...I shall laugh at her! Laugh, I say!"
Metal just rolled his eyes as he and the Eggpawns began to walk out of the ship's hanger, jumping off and down onto the lawn of Capsule Corp. He took a quick look around, his eyes flashing for a moment as he scanned the grounds, "...No traps or security systems in place...this seems too easy…"
"So you're sure we got everyone to those emergency bunkers?" Bulma's voice spoke from a window, Metal seeing her talking to Sally.
"Yes. My brother made sure to send out a warning to every Freedom Fighter on the continents that are scattered to help get the people to safety," Sally answered
"Good, that means we don't have to worry about people getting hurt," Bulma sighed, "I asked Gohan to come over with the others so we can prepare to leave for the bunker where we made the Blue Typhoon. We can hide out there while we find out what is happening."
"They plan to leave...good. Then I have an opening until Son Gohan arrives." Metal spoke to himself, "Can't risk battling him 'till I find the secret to his limitless potential." he then turned to the Eggpawns, "Spread out and find the parts. Inform me if you see anything of interest."
The Eggpawns saluted as they scattered about, leaving Metal to go and search the main building. Metal was able to eventually find a lab filled with parts for space crafts made by the Briefs family. He paused, finding the unique engines derived from the Pod ships Goku and Vegeta arrived on Earth in. He was able to scan them, and despite the alien code from their source, he was sure these would greatly help them once they adapted them to their airships. He noticed a large hangar door that he could use to get these outside.
"I suppose the Dr. gives this woman too much credit," Metal noted as he opened the doors, "This is the second time I've just snuck in here," he then paused as the door opened to reveal Gohan.
"Yo." Gohan smirked.
"...Of course it was too easy," Metal noted as his optics displayed an annoyed emoji.
"Bulma was worried you guys might still try for these," Gohan replied, getting into a fighting stance, "But I can't let you take them."
"I see," Metal spoke, "So to get these unusual engines out, I need to best you." his optics displayed a loading bar.
"Uh…"
"I'm doing a search on what just happened. I spoke of not wanting to battle you...and yet now I have to," Metal stated.
"I believe that's irony..." Gohan muttered.
"My search indicates that is one result and the other is a phenomenon known as Murphy's Law," Metal replied as his optics went to their normal state before assuming an opening stance.
"I suppose that works, too," Gohan chuckled.
At that, the two rushed each other and began trading blows back and forth. Gohan blocked Metal's next punch...before suddenly spinning around to kick at his head, the robot ducking out of the way. Only to be blindsided as Gohan's tail suddenly unwrapped and smacked him, sending him flying away and across the grounds of the complex. Gohan blinked and looked at his tail, forgetting he once saw his evil uncle do the same type of attack before.
"You...have a tail?" Metal asked as he got up, his head dented with an imprint of the tail, "Why do you have a tail?"
"All Saiyans are born with them...eh...kinda…" Gohan corrected himself, "This tail is a source of power for us."
"Why tell me this?" Metal asked, mentally updating his file.
"Cause I'd consider you cutting it off a win for me." Gohan explained.
"Hmm...A source of power that you willing want removed," Metal observed as his optics started to glow a little brighter, "Observing. ...Observation complete. You constantly glance at the clouds in the sky and then back at me, as if you are trying to not look at something in the sky...or, rather...something behind the clouds."
"Ah…" Gohan nodded, "If I see it...you won't stand a chance, Metal...nothing and no one will." he warned, in an angry and concerned tone.
"A counter to your warning. I already know that I do not stand a chance as you currently are," Metal informed, "Your added statement of 'nothing and no one will' adds that 'it'-more than likely the moon based on the time-will cause you to enter a berserk state that you cannot control and will attack everyone and anyone around."
"Exactly," Gohan spoke, "It bodes bad for you and your creator if I become that form. I tend to go after those I dislike first."
"Understandable. Berserkers tend to focus upon those they already hate before going after others," Metal noted before cupping his hands together, "But I process that this state will also modify your physical capabilities. All I would need to do is be faster than you in that state."
"Metal, seriously! This isn't a game!"
"I never said I was playing a game," Metal replied, "Your world merged with one at war with itself. As such…" a sphere of light formed in his cupped hands, "...Casualties are always a result."
With that, he spun around and fired his copied Kamehameha at the cloudy sky, dispersing the clouds and exposing the night sky. Metal turned only to blink as Gohan with his eyes closed punched him.
"I misjudged you…" Gohan spoke, his eyes still closed, "I guess I can't do that again!"
"You will rely upon your other senses outside of your sight in order to battle," Metal observed, "Sight exposure is required for the berserker state. File updated and sent to Dr. Eggman."
"Ha…" Gohan took a deep breath, "You're a machine so I can't sense you, and right now...I can't use my eyes. But I have one trick you probably didn't see coming."
"A trick?" Metal repeated.
"Hehehe…"
"Buu not like you!"
"What?" Metal turned around, only to be smacked away by a yellow mitten and sent flying into a building.
"Buu send blue robot rat flying!"
"I have a Buu." Gohan laughed.
"Ugh...I couldn't detect another life form...Magic…" Metal realized, "Need assistance...and I am a blue robot hedgehog, thank you very much."
"Buu calls it as Buu sees it." Buu replied.
"Buu...Your file is limited. Preparing to update file during battle," Metal stated.
"Buu gonna beat you now," Buu smiled simply, "Gohan go inside, Buu can handle this." he suddenly rushed forward and punched Metal, giving him almost no time to react. Even less when the Majin's arm stretched and curved to land a hook punch to Metal, knocking him away.
"I get the feeling that by the end of the night...I'll need to upload myself into another body," Metal noted.
"Not if Buu breaks you faster!" Buu smirked as he jumped and slammed his belly into Metal, knocking him back.
"...I hate when reverse psychology is used against me indirectly," Metal stated.
=I get the feeling that the engines will break before we can use them= Nicole noted.
"They better not or Gohan and Buu will be in for it," Bulma frowned.
"Eggman tried to be stealthy for once," Sally sighed, "If he sent more fighters and tried sneaking it out in the confusion…"
=Anger tends to cloud logic= Nicole spoke =We also have another issue. Metal Sonic has cleared the sky of clouds and the moon is full tonight. Should Gohan's eye be forced open and he looks at it…=
"Capsule Corp will be Crater Corp," Bulma finished, "Honestly, that hedgehog robot is more dangerous than he looks."
"He is scarily competent and a determinator. Always coming back from destruction, smarter than before," Sally agreed.
"We need to scrap that thing someday..." Bulma sighed.
=We've tried. Sonic and Tails even dropped it in magma and it came back=
"Problem for another day then..." Bulma sighed.
"Metal report!" Eggman activated the communication system in Metal.
=Un...expected complications…= Metal spoke as the screen showed his head sticking out of a wad of pink gum-like substance.
=Buu got you!= The wad was picked up as Metal was smacked around rapidly by Buu.
"...oh. I..forgot about the walking-talking bubblegum demon…" Eggman whispered.
=Buu hear funny egg guy! Buu gonna find you egg guy...then Buu gonna make you into real egg!=
"Gh!" Eggman tensed as he turned the screen and radio off, "Hoo...dodged a massive bullet there." he then took a long second, "Oh no! The stuff we're trying to steal! Okay uh...forget stealth! Let's just get the stuff and run away!"
"...update to mission…" Metal spoke, summoning his barrier as he tore the gum off him,"Obtain parts and retreat at all cost.."
"Buu?" Buu blinked before Metal literally shot through him as a blur, creating a large hole in the Majin as Metal rushed into the hanger. Buu stretched his neck and peered through the hole in his body, "Well now Buu hungry…" he muttered more annoyed then injured. His head snapped back in place before he took a deep breath, the hole in his body filling in with a pop sound.
"..did he…" Sally began before she spotted Metal shooting out of the hanger, carrying both pods.
"He's fast…" Buu noted, opening his eyes to see Metal Sonic's flight speed, he jumped and flew after Metal. However he suddenly stopped as he looked down at the Eggpawns...before his antenna flipped down and fired a bolt of pink lightning which turned all of them into...cookies.
Metal actually paused for a moment as his optics widened in shock as Buu went down and began eating the cookies. Seeming to be happy with how they turned out. Deciding not to waste an opening he flew off, letting Buu finish his meal instead of instigating the Majin to continue chasing...lest he turn him into a sweet treat as well.
"And he got away...perfect," Bulma noted with a smirk, "Now we play the waiting game."
"Can...Buu always do that?" Sally blinked.
"Oh Satan made sure to train Buu to not do it to anything living." Bulma assured.
"...Well, least we know he's on o-" Sally began.
=Sally, Bulma...something is wrong with Gohan= Nicole spoke, making the two look out at Gohan..who was staring up at the sky as his eyes were opened...bit of darkness flowing from his eyes.
"?! Why…" Sally began before she spotted a small dark-aqua creature resembling a t-rex biting onto his leg, "?! Oh no…"
"Ghh…" Gohan grunted as his eyes changed to pure red suddenly. He grunted as his muscles suddenly tensed, they could hear these odd sounds, it was hard to explain but it was this...banging sound. They suddenly realized...it was the sound of Gohan's muscles growing rapidly.
Gohan's body began to grow taller. His eyes pupil-less and all just pure redness. His teeth began growing as his hair began growing past his head. His Gi began stretching out until it started to tear. The creaking of his bones growing and altering could be heard. His voice began growing deeper as he growled. The black fur covered his body while his skull began to alter, his mouth extending out into a muzzle like jaw. His clothing fully fell off as his body grew past their limit. A shadow loomed over Capsule Corp as all looked up at the giant.
"Wh-what...am I looking at?" Eggman asked turning on his surveillance tech to see a giant beast standing in front of Capsule Corp. It easily towered over the complex, a giant beast of black fur dark as the night. A long baboon like jaw, with the fur on its head standing up in a familiar spiky style, with a single bang falling over it's forehead. Eyes of red burning rage, it's tail swaying around as it growled out.
Suddenly the beast stood tall revealing the amazing muscular frame it had. It's shoulders were broad with massive arms of muscle. It opened it's jaw and let out a horrible roar. It then...turned its head...and looked at...the screen. It was looking in the direction of Eggman's ship. Suddenly a silvery white aura formed around the beast as the bang flipped over towards the other half of its face. Wait...that change this was…
"Oh no…" Eggman realized.
=RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!-!-!-!-!= He roared and suddenly jumped towards the ship.
Gohan landed on the ship, making it shake around out of control. The beastly Oozaru roared as he began bashing his fist into the side. He then began biting and ripping a chunk of the haul off, as if trying to take the ship down as if a giant animal.
"Ah! AH! AH!" Eggman freaked.
Gohan growled as he climbed to the top of the ship and began sniffing around before finding the Bridge. His eyes peering through as if staring at Eggman. He lurched forward and roared again, shaking the entire ship. He then lunged forward and began biting at the bridge in an attempt to get at whoever was inside.
"AHH! Help! Do something! He's gonna eat me! AAHH!" Eggman screamed as the glass began cracking,"...Weapons. ACTIVATE THE WEAPONS!"
=Affirmative= Metal's voice spoke before an electrified barrier began to surround the ship, causing Gohan to roar out in pain as the electric shock caused him to lose his grip and fall off.
"It's off! Go go go go go go go go go!" Eggman screamed as the ship began to fly off the best it could, "All systems full power! Do not let that thing near me again!"
Gohan roared out as he shot up, energy forming within his maw before he fired off a massive beam that struck Eggman's ship, sending it flying into the distance as the sound of the mad fat doctor screaming like a little girl could be heard. Gohan roared as he began banging his chest in victory. He then began blasting his energy breath attack repeatedly in a sign of victory as he stomped around.
"Oh man…" Krillin paused as he heard the roar, memories flashing back to the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai, the sound of the form Goku and Gohan took when they were young...the Oozaru, "Gohan…"
"It's that Ape form again." Yamcha paled, "Don't tell me...Gohan turned into that thing again?"
"Yup."
"Can you feel that?" Tien asked in concern, "It's like he's ten times more powerful…"
'It feels like there's an apex predator out there…' Pari noted, both her and her sister's tails shooting straight up.
"We could probably stop him…" Yamcha muttered, "But we'd need to cut off his tail." he earned looks from the two Sakurai girls, "Wait...did you not know Goku and Gohan were born with tails?" he got shakes of their heads, "Yeah...it's a whole thing. I used to cut Goku's tail off all the time as a kid to stop him from rampaging. But...Goku and Gohan are now way stronger than me."
"More like stronger than the gods themselves!" Krillin added.
"Krillin now is not the time to panic." Tien complained.
"This feels like a perfect time to panic! One of the scariest things I've ever seen has returned after all these years! Frankly I wish my wife was here to save me!" Krillin went on, "That's right, I'm secure enough to admit my wife -whom I love- can kick my ass cause she's maybe one of the strongest people on Earth."
"..."
"...Wait. I just had a thought," Yamcha spoke up, "If Gohan grew his tail back and turned into that giant ape right after all this darkness came out of the now-shattared planet, what's gonna happen to Goku or Vegeta once they came back?"
"Geh…" Krillin blinked.
"Vegeta brags he can control that form. And if I recall Krillin told me that's how he almost killed Goku with that form in their first fight." Tien spoke, "So...if things go bad...we'll need Vegeta to help us take both Goku and Gohan down so we can cut their tails off."
"Yeah but...one of those giant apes is bad enough, but two? Especially if it's Goku and Gohan?"Yamcha pointed out.
"...oh...no…." Krillin whispered in dread.
"We should probably head to Bulma," Yamcha muttered, "And hope she's got a plan to fix all this."
"Good idea/Yes! Very good idea!" Tien and Krillin nodded, the latter literally panicking at this point.
"Oh geez...oh geez…" Bulma whispered as she paced around the safe room she and Sally were in, "How could it go so wrong?"
"I can't believe after all we survived in our own worlds and as one...one of our own heroes would become a danger to us." Sally spoke.
=If I may= Nicole spoke as she appeared =I have good news and bad news=
"What is it?" Sally asked.
=Bad news...Eggman survived= she sighed.
"I think I've had a big effect on you dear." Bulma noted how similar that sounded to her own brand of sarcasm.
=Good news is he's already hooked up the tech and I have already breached his network and taken much of his data.= Nicole smiled =As we speak he is repairing his ship to leave orbit, and I am preparing to send out the signal via his ships network, thankfully it will be hidden within that alien code from the Frieza Force=
"That's great!" Sally grinned, "How long until we can send the signal?"
=Roughly 24-48 hours=
"...what?"
"One to two days…" Bulma spoke, her eye twitching, "...Gohan…"
=Um...it isn't entirely his fault. The engines need to be installed a certain way for them to fully function as intended=
"Ugh...and Eggman is messing it up?" Bulma guessed closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose, "Oh I swear if Vegeta does kill him...I will love him even more…"
=It seems we'll have to wait a few days, your plan has worked greatly, but Eggman's inferior intelligence with this alien technology…=
"It's alright, the surface is clear so at worst we'll just need to rebuild...a lot." Bulma sighed.
"Agreed…" Sally sighed as she leaned against the wall, "I just hope the others will be okay out there…"
"In the meantime," Bulma spoke, "Let's see if we can find out what this is.'' She got their attention, "Nicole, when things started calming down, we began collecting history and records from both our worlds and put them in a main database to study and record our histories before we merged. Think you could find those files so we can begin combing through them for anything?"
=I see...this could be a threat from one of our world's distant past. Given the pattern of our worlds having some secret magic hidden from us= Nicole realized =I'll look up all the historical and mythological files=
"Please do," Sally spoke.
"If we could contact Dende he could help too. He should have some means of finding out what this is since he's the God of Earth." Bulma added.
=Good idea=
"...so much darkness," Dende whispered, he Tikal and Poppo looking down at the planet below with wide eyes.
"I've never felt anything like this…" Poppo spoke in awe, "This darkness...it's not the result of a wicked soul...but just pure darkness…"
"...it...it can't be…" Tikal whispered, earning looks from the two, "I...I thought it was a legend. Something my mother once told me about…"
"Tikal?"
"It's real...and it's happening…" Tikal paused as she looked at Dende and Popo, "Dark Gaia...is starting to awaken."
"Dark Gaia?" Dende asked, "A legend from Mobius," he realized, "When our worlds merged...it must have awakened it. And Hirudegarn's rampage must have weakened whatever kept it sealed within the planet."
"What can you tell us of this Dark Gaia?" Popo asked.
"Not much...only bits from something my mother had been looking into once...the Gaia Manuscripts," Tikal answered, "It is said tens of thousands of years, Dark Gaia would awake and split the world into pieces with Light Gaia returning the world to its normal state before both it and Dark Gaia slumber. The Gaia Manuscripts were created to chronicle the events, but..no one has seen any sign of them for years."
"Hmm…" Dende pondered on that as he closed his eyes and his antenna began flickering.
"What are you doing?" Popo asked.
"I can't sit around and do nothing...Gohan has become an Oozaru...I must help my friends...my planet. I am the God of this planet, it is my duty to help protect it." he explained before his eyes snapped open, "I've found them."
"Y-you have?!" Tikal and Popo gasped.
"Not technically…" he chuckled, "But I found a man who knows more about them!" he smiled, "If we can collect him and take him to Bulma and the others we can help stop this!"
"Really?! Th...that's amazing!" Tikal gasped.
"We'll have to wait for the day to come again, as the man currently is in the half of the world in the midst of night." Dende spoke, "Once the day changes, we can find him."
"I shall retrieve him for you Kami-sama." Popo spoke, not wanting the God of the Planet to risk his life in all the dangers below.
"Take him straight to Bulma, he can help them plan how to fix things." Dende nodded.
"Of course."
"Just be safe," Tikal spoke as she looked back down at the planet, "I fear this is only just the beginning…"
SZ:...well...one day after Goku and his team leave, the planet goes and splits apart.
Z0: What else is new...how many times have both Sonic and Goku's worlds almost fallen apart within a single day?
SZ: True...and most of the time we have Eggman for causing said catastrophe for Sonic's world.
Z0: Ah...well at least we got something to keep things rolling.
SZ: True..and surprising enough folks? We haven't' finished with the flashback.
Z0: Yep so the actual arc has yet to fully begin! Till next time though~
