Chapter 10
One week had pass them by slowly, with no further attacks, this did not however calm the Guardians or Rusherz down. Ange watched as her mentor and friends prepared themselves for the worse., fear overwhelming them. Even though Marty had reassured her, Ange was still worried for her team.
Ange: Everyone has been scared, Joseph is scared...what do i do..
Ange was walking around the HOK..till she reached a large open room where the Core was. She was amazed at the large ball of light as she walked in.
Ange: It's beautiful...H-Hello...
Nothing responded, but she knew she was heard.
Ange: *Curtsied* My name is Ange Hayline, I'm the newest Guardian.
She sat down looking at the core.
Ange: The others are scared...Barron and my cousin have their eyes on hurting someone...but i don't know who and if they do succeed, i don't know where to find a cure either...Do you know?
The core gave a soft glow.
Ange: It's close huh...must be somewhere near Canton...but where?
Meanwhile outside the safe zone...
Joseph, Ish and Ash were patrolling the area, eyes opened for anything out of the ordinary.
Ash: Charlie and Rosie are settling in the HOK well, my parents are glad we are all safe too.
Joseph: Good, more the reason to make sure they stay safe.
As they walked, they had the feeling of being watched...and they were right to feel so as Mavrin landed in front of them. He looked at them closely. They also got a better look at the apprentice. He was a pale male, with muddy black/brown and piercing dark green eyes staring at them.
Mavrin: So, you are alone...perfect.
Ish: *Snarls* Mavrin
Mavrin wickedly smiled as he armored up, his face being the only on showing, thus promoting the three Guardians to armor up too.
Mavrin: My my, you all seem to be on edge, so close to snapping it's so delightful.
Joseph: Just as sick as Barron.
Mavrin dodged a move from Joseph and kicked him back to the two.
Mavrin: Your so close too! Maybe if i get lady Kristie to Maste-
Mavrin was actually met with Ish's and Joseph's fist to the face, which made him go back a few feet.
Mavrin: *Quiet* Yes-just a little more...JUST a bit more...
The Crusher aimed at him, he didn't even notice him come in. The poison was in his hand as he crept forward, to him.
Mavrin got up chuckling.
Mavrin: My what a punch...Wonder if your other teammates have that powerful of a punch...I'm sure Tua must have-
Mavrin was kicked by Ash, making him laugh.
Ash: Your kidding, he's liking this? He's ACTUALLY liking this?!
Joseph: I beginning to believe Mavrin is a masacist.
Mavrin got up, blood dripping from his nose and mouth.
Mavrin: OH YES! COME AT ME YOU IDIOTS! FIGHT ME!
Ash lunged at him.
He saw a shadow over him and he turned quickly, ready to attack but he was too late.
Mavrin smiled wickedly as she got close.
Mavrin: Finally...
The Crusher threw the poison and hit him hard-
Ange got up from her spot in fear, the air feeling colder than usual and fear on her face.
Ange: No..Don't tell me...
Ash's eyes widen in pain. Ish and Joseph saw the purple pulses around the armor. Mavrin just laughed, a crazed laugh was heard around the area.
Mavrin: GOT YOU! I FINALLY GOT YOU IN MY TRAP!
