I felt my eyes flutter open. I was in a room. I felt something in my hand, my ribs hurting a lot less. I felt something in my nose. I saw Dad right by me.

" Dad?" I asked as I saw him lift his head up.

" Oh thank god you are ok." He said as I nodded.

" Where's Jasper?" I asked as Dad took my hand in his.

" He's outside talking to Edward." He said as I nodded.

" What happened?" I asked as he sat up.

" You were shopping for prom with Jasper and some asshole hit you with his car when you two were coming out to go back to his car." Dad said as I saw his face was alright, but it looked like he was hiding something, I'm not going to budge.

" Two of your ribs broke and you got a nasty cut on the skin of them." He said as I felt my ribs were wrapped.

" Luckily Jasper kept you conscious while the ambulance showed up. I'm glad you have him and he can keep you safe." Dad said with a sincere smile.

" You also had a fever while in surgery, but it broke. About 104 degrees. I was worried about you." Dad said as I nodded. A fever? I don't know what it was about. Maybe it was when I had that rush that guided me to try and help Bella?

" Dad, you need a shower, you stink." I said as I smelt the BO on him. He chuckled.

" You were out for two days. I was worried about you." He said as I saw Jasper come in.

" I'm going to grab that shower. Doc said that you should be able to come home today if you woke up." Dad said as he got up, I smiled and I saw Dad give Jasper a nod.

" Luckily you woke up in time for that dance." Dad said giving me a smile. He left and Jasper came over and sat down next to me.

" Are you ok?" He asked as he took my hand in his, I missed the cold contact.

" I'm alright." I said as he smiled.

" Where's James?" I asked as Jasper looked at me with an unsure way I couldn't read.

" He's no longer a problem. The woman got away." He said as I nodded.

" The blood?" I asked as I felt my ribs ease.

" They sowed you up flawlessly. They had to give you a transfusion. I don't like it." He said as I smiled.

" It's keeping me alive." I said as he chuckled.

" Soon it'll be back to your natural smell." Jasper whispered as I smiled.

" I'm not going anywhere, you mean too much to me. You're my world now Jace Song. Unless you send me away." Jasper whispered as I shook my head and looked up to him with a smile.

" You're my world Jasper Whitlock Hale. I'll never send you away or let anyone force me away from you." I said as he smiled.

" I think my dad likes you." I say as Jasper smiled.

" We have a mutual understanding with one another." He replied as I smiled.

" I'm probably going to have a scar on my ribs now." I whispered as I felt Jasper place a hand on my wrapped ribs, right where I felt my stitches, it felt nice.

" It shows that you are strong and can do anything." He whispered as I felt his hand move to my cheek. He sighed as I saw something was on his mind.

" If I had to leave with my family at any time, know I won't be away long." He said as I was confused.

" What does that mean?" I asked as he smirked.

" I don't have the strength to stay away from you for long periods of time, your touch is bliss to me. Your breath is my drive." He explained.

" If that were to happen, how long would you be gone before you had to come back for my touch?" I asked hypothetically.

" Four at most. I'd come back to you without them if it was the case." He replied.

" It'd be misery without you." I whispered to him.

" I'll never be long without you." Jasper whispered to me.

" My Major." I said as he smiled.

" My Angel ma'am." He replied before giving me a kiss. It wasn't long before I was released.

" I'll see you at home." Dad said as I told him that I would go with Jasper.

" See you at home Dad." I replied. I watched Dad leave. Jasper and I walked the hallways and soon found his car. It felt better to be out of that bed.

" I'm glad you are ok." Jasper said as I wanted to itch my stitches, but I focused on something else.

" You still want to go to the prom?" I asked as Jasper smiled.

" Alice already picked out the tux and the dress. She insisted." Jasper said as I smiled.

" Typical Alice, I love her but the fashion sense is a bit much." I said as I saw Jasper smile.

" Did Alice ever say she had a vision of me becoming a vampire?" I asked as Jasper shook his head.

" Not yet, but it could change." Jasper said as I smiled.

" Am I warm to you?" I asked as he smiled.

" Human blood runs through you, of course you do." Jasper said as I nodded. Dad always told me that I was always warmer than the average person. I don't question it.

" I'm just glad you are safe." Jasper said as he took my hand in his. I feel safe with him, without him I fend for myself upon his return.

" You are my Angel, I won't let anyone hurt you." Jasper said as it wasn't long before we arrived at Forks. I just smiled, back home was better than being anywhere. It wasn't long before we got to my house.

" I'm glad to be home Jaz." I whispered as he smiled, it was almost nightfall. I went inside and opened my window. I took my painkillers and got in bed after changing into a nice loose white long sleeve and some black shorts. I heard some movement.

" Time for you to sleep." Jasper whispered as he lifted me into bed. I smiled as he got the blanket over me. I watched as he locked the door and got into bed with me.

" Night Jaz." I whispered as his cool made me feel less heated. I felt a calming kiss on my forehead as sleep lulled me to the darkness.
