Note: I wonder why no one has a left a review on this story. I know, the shipping is a little weird, but it's a crossover shipping. However, I hope that those who like the story enjoy the rest of it. Okay, now it's time for chapter nine.
Chapter 9: Pregnant
When Lexi woke up in the morning, she saw that her abdomen was somewhat bigger. Getting up from her bed, the doe felt somewhat sore. This was strange, being something that she was not expecting.
"Did I gain weight?" Lexi asked herself.
She walked into the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Her abdomen had indeed gotten bigger, but it didn't feel like she had eaten too much. In fact, something else was going on.
"Never thought that I would do this." Lexi quietly said.
The doe then opened a box of pregnancy tests. Urinating on one, she waited for the results to show up. After a few seconds, the test showed two lines, confirming what she had been fearing: pregnancy.
"I've got to call Baloo." Lexi exited the bathroom, deciding to get dressed for the day.
An hour later, Baloo arrived at Lexi's house. When he opened the door, he saw Lexi sitting at the table next to a small plastic stick.
"Hi Lex!" Baloo greeted.
"Come in!" Lexi said, her voice full of shame.
Baloo walked into the room and sat down at the table. The bear saw that Lexi had an angered, albeit saddened look on her face.
"What's wrong, honey?" He carefully asked.
"Do you know what this is?" Lexi pointed at the plastic device.
"A pregnancy test," Baloo stated, "why?"
"Look at it." The rabbit said.
Baloo picked up the pregnancy test and was met with a surprise: two lines.
"We're pregnant?!" The bear asked in excitement.
"Yes." Lexi scowled.
"You don't seem too happy!" Baloo said.
"It's because we should have waited until after we got married to have sex!" The doe cried.
"Calm down, honey!" The bear cried.
"That's not going to help!" The rabbit yelled, "It won't help that I'm pregnant with your child!"
"What are we going to do?!" The larger male panicked, "We never should have done this!"
"We?!" The smaller female shouted, "I'm not the one who roped a girl into having sex and had sex with her again after recovering from being drunk!"
Baloo crossed his arms, shaking his head at Lexi. Ashamed, she looked down at the table.
"I'm sorry." The rabbit sighed, "I shouldn't blame you on something that's my fault as well."
"No, you're right." Baloo said, "I shouldn't have convinced you to have sex with me. We shouldn't have done it twice, especially seeing how we drank wine the second time. We should have made love after we got married."
"That's true," Lexi sniffled, "but what are we going to tell everyone we know?! What will my parents say?! What will your friends say?! They might call me a whore for having sex with someone before I got married! Everyone might even think that you're a rapist for having sex with me! We're none of those bad things, Baloo!"
"Lexi," the larger male stated, "it's okay. If someone doesn't like our relationship, they can go sit in mud."
Without warning, Lexi started to cry. Baloo held her in a hug in an attempt to comfort her.
"It's okay, honey, it's okay." The bear told his girlfriend, "I won't let anyone call us anything horrible. We can even lie to your parents so that they don't get concerned. My friends won't even mind that you're pregnant with our children."
"I know, Baloo." The rabbit sobbed, "I just wasn't expecting something like this. I kind of knew that I would become a mother someday. But, I didn't think that I would test positive for pregnancy today."
"You don't have to worry," the larger male said, "I'm great with kids, and I love you for who you are. I'll be a great husband and father. You can even cry on my shoulder when you're sad."
"I'm just scared of what everyone will say about us." The smaller female sniffled.
"Don't be afraid," Baloo whispered, "I won't let anyone say anything horrible. I said so myself."
"You're a nice man, Baloo." Lexi smiled.
"And you're a good girl, Lexi Bunny." Baloo brought her deeper into their hug, allowing his girlfriend to feel better. After a minute or so, the two shared a kiss. When they got done, the bear and the rabbit walked to the door.
"I'll see you next week." Lexi said.
"Make that after three weeks." Baloo corrected.
"Why?" The rabbit asked.
"I'll be on a friendly retreat with Bagheera, Rama, Raksha, Kaa, and Louie." The bear answered.
"Why is it three weeks long?" The smaller female was curious.
"It's in another state and we'll spend a lot of time at the retreat." The larger male stated.
"I'll wait for you until then." Lexi smiled.
"And I promise that I won't cheat on you, trust me." Baloo said before leaving.
"Bye Baloo." Lexi said.
"Bye Lexi!" Baloo said through the door.
When he was gone, Lexi went back to her bed. Sitting down, the doe looked at the bump that was slowly forming on her belly.
Just three weeks before I see Baloo again. The rabbit thought to herself, When I see him again, we can talk about what we would do if we got married. I just hope that everyone we know is willing to help us with our kid. Baloo said that he would be a good dad, but can I believe him? Either way, we need to get serious about our relationship.
Note: I know, each chapter is kind of over too quickly, but there's only so much that I could write. Now that Lexi's pregnant with a bear-rabbit hybrid, I suppose that it wasn't a good idea for Baloo to reveal that he was going on a retreat of some sort. However, this is fanfiction, so a lot of crazy things happen. What did you guys think about this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review or give a constructive criticism. Until next time guys, peace!
