Everyone, including Chompy, was outside of Dry Dry Ruins and noticed it was still dark outside. The Star Spirit, Mamar, revealed herself to be a kind-hearted and optimistic being with a pink bow and lips.

"Thank you, everyone. Now, I can return back to Star Haven. Let me grant you four my power." Mario and the Peach Cree kids were all enveloped in sparkling light. They felt new power flow through them.

"My power is called Lullaby. My soothing singing shall put your enemies to sleep."

"Could help us out if we ever wound up in a jam, right, gang?" Nazz asked as a few of the kids all nodded or shrugged their shoulders in response.

"This is still the beginning. You need to rescue five of my other friends and save Princess Peach. Call me anytime you're in a pinch. I am a Star Spirit, after all."

"Your powers shall be used wisely, magic starfish!" Ed said while giving a salute. Mamar giggled at the lovable oaf's dutifulness.

"Before I go, I think it's best that I lead you all back to Dry Dry Outpost.

Everyone proceeded to follow Mamar as they turned back to see Dry Dry Ruins sinking back into the endless sands, once more becoming ancient history. Despite it no longer being there, the group all couldn't help but look back fondly on the memories they made there.

After returning to Dry Dry Outpost, Mamar left for Star Haven while the kids all went to get some much-needed sleep in the Inn. As everyone went to sleep, Mario went to see one more person before turning in for the night himself.

"So you have returned," Moustafa said.

"I think you should know a-something. It's-a very important."

Mario explained the story inside Dry Dry Ruins and Moustafa was quite shocked by what he heard.

"I never knew Bowser's minions had already occupied Dry Dry Ruins. I thank you for liberating Dry Dry Ruins. So what happens next?"

"Dry Dry Ruins sank-a down, along with the Pulse Stone."

"So I see. Then I guess my work here is over. Without the Pulse Stone, no one can enter Dry Dry Ruins again. The last descendant of King Mousta is freed." Moustafa then bowed down to the heroic plumber. "I am eternally grateful to you and your friends."

After bidding farewell to Moustafa, Mario went back to the Inn and slept for the rest of the night.

The next morning, everyone was ready to go. On their way, Parakarry delivered a letter to a wandering Nomadimouse. They received a Star Piece as their award. After traversing through the path back to the train station, they encountered Kolorado and his expedition crew.

"Kolorado!" Kooper said.

Kolorado turned around with a smile. "Hey, old chap! There you are! What are you doing?"

"We're going back to Toad Town."

"So soon? What about Dry Dry Ruins?"

Kooper dropped his smile. "It's...gone. Gone in the sand forever."

Kolorado jumped up in shock. "It-it can't be! Are you telling me you all found Dry Dry Ruins?! Now I'll never find it!"

"Sheesh, take it easy, dude..." Nazz said flatly.

"But wait!" Kooper took an artifact from Double-D's bag and offered it to Kolorado.

"I say, what is this?"

"We found it in Dry Dry Ruins. I thought you should keep it so that you have something from Dry Dry Ruins."

Kolorado beamed a smile. "Thank you so much, Kooper, my boy! But you should take this as well." He gave Kooper another Star Piece, much to Eddy's delight.

"Well, I guess my friends and I will have to pack up and head to a new area. Take care, everyone." The team bid their farewells to Kolorado and his group. After traveling through Mt. Rugged, they stopped in front of the same stone block that they couldn't access before.

Johnny smashed the stone block with his new Super Hammer and gave a thumbs-up to the group. Making their way down the path, they saw a new Badge that Goombario looked up in his book.

"That's the Spin Smash Badge. It lets you perform a spinning charged attack with your weapon."

Johnny equipped the new Badge to accompany his new hammer. Everyone then headed to the K64 Train and rode back to Toad Town.

"Finally, we're back!" Eddy said, stretching his arms up.

Double-D sighed in relief. "It's good to be back in familiar territory

"I wanted to be a mummy," Ed said, pouting.

"Oh, grow up, ya big baby," Sarah said, rolling her eyes.

Before the group went to Mario's home, Kooper remembered the Magical Seed he got from the Bub-ulbs. Everyone went to the garden where Eddy, Nazz, Rolf, Johnny, and Bombette went before.

"Oh!" Minh T. said. "What do you have here?"

"I was wondering if you could plant this seed," Kooper asked, offering the Magical Seed as Minh. T gasped in delight.

"You have a Magical Seed?! I'll plant it for you!" She took the Magical Seed and planted it in one of the patches of soils. It grew up instantly, just like the first one.

Eddy crossed his arms, frowning. "I still don't see how will this help us in our journey."

"You never know what life may bring you, so says Rolf's Nano," Rolf said sagely.

Once it was all settled, the team back headed to Mario's home. When they arrived, they saw Luigi hanging the clothes from his laundry. He turned to face them when he noticed their arrival.

"Let me guess, you-a saved a Star Spirit?"

"Oh yeah!" Mario answered, nodding as he gave his brother a thumbs-up.

"And guess what? We've got a pet!" Goombario said in delight.

"It's a Chain-Chomp!" Ed added, holding up Chompy with ease. Chompy barked in a happy tone, but Luigi yelped in fright and hid in his laundry basket.

His head lifted up slowly under his wet clothes. "Wh-why do you h-have a C-Chain-Chomp?"

"Chompy doesn't have a home," Double-D explained. "We decided to bring him here for him to live."

"B-but it's a-a C-Chain-Chomp!"

"You're just gonna have to deal with it, Luigi," Mario said. "Besides, it will a-bark off intruders."

"I'm not a-sure..."

"We'll be coming back tonight, so take care of Chompy, okay?"

"W-wait! I bruise easily!" Everyone took their stuff into the house and warped back to Toad Town through the Warp Pipe. Luigi (still inside his laundry basket) and Chompy stared at each other.

"Y-you wouldn't think of me as a chew toy, right?"

Chompy barked and lunged straight to him.

"MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARIIIIIIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Velhallen Beo was sipping some wine while reading in a lounge chair when he perked up upon hearing the sound of a terrified cry of an Italian plumber from Brooklyn.

"What the devil is that noise?"
