Everyday Maria worked on the outfits, and they were coming along. Then three weeks had gone by, and Arten seen two different guards riding into the village. Arten walked up to them, and two guards got down off their beasts.
"Hello, could please tell us who the village leader is." Said the North guard.
"I am the Village leader, my name is Arten." Said Arten.
"That is great. Then you can tell us which family is taking care of Angara, and Bengali." Said the East guard.
"Mine." Said Arten.
"Then we'll leave our message with you." Said the North guard.
"Ok." Said Arten.
Both guards had the same message. That in one month a detail of guards will come to the village to take their respective Noble to their new kingdoms.
One Month Later. . . .
The village watched as thirty guards came riding into the village; they also noticed that half of them wore a different color than the other half. They stopped in front of a house, and before they dismounted, Arten came out of his home. Tobin seen the cat, and got down.
"Hello, I am Tobin; I am the Guard captain for the North Kingdom. I have come with some men to escort the new Noble of the North to her kingdom." Said Tobin.
"My name is Hordin. I am the Guard captain for the East Kingdom. We have come to escort the new Noble of the East to his kingdom." Said Hordin.
"I am Arten; I am the Leader of the village. I am also the father of the two young cats that have become the new Nobles. I will see if they are ready." Said Arten.
Arten then went back into his home, and seen that Maria was helping Angara finish getting ready. Arten then said a detail of guards from the North, and the East arrived. Maria stopped for a moment, and looked at her cubs.
"I know that you must be terrified at this moment. Remember that I love you, and remember to treat others in the same way you want to be treated. Never forget where you come from, and never forget that your father and I love you both with all our hearts." Said Maria.
"I'll miss you mommy. I promise you that I will look after the people of the North, and treat them like my family. I won't forget about anything you just told me." Said Angara.
"Good girl, now let's go. Your traveling party is waiting for you." Said Maria.
They soon went outside, and the two groups of guards kneeled to Angara and Bengali just looked at each other. They soon stood, and waited by their beasts. Angara then turned to her brother, and took him in a big hug.
"Don't forget me, brother. I promise not to forget about you." Said Angara.
"Don't worry, we'll be in neighboring kingdoms, but I'll keep you in my thoughts." Said Bengali.
"And you'll be in mine." Said Angara.
Just then a guard that was wearing the colors of the North walked up to them. He then bowed, and then looked to Angara.
"I am sorry to interrupt, but we must leave soon, my lady. We must travel fifteen miles before we make camp at dusk." Said Tobin.
"Ok, let me say good-bye one more time before we leave." Said Angara.
"Very well, my lady." Said Tobin.
Tobin then walked back over the other guards. Angara then walked over to her father, and gave him a hug.
"Remember my daughter; everyone will be at your beck and call. Treat them with kindness and respect, and they will do anything you ask of them. Do not try to over work them, or else nothing will ever get done. They might even begin to resent you, so be kind to them, and they'll be kind to you." Said Arten.
"I promise daddy." Said Angara.
