A new morning arose over the Dann household. All three of its members stirred, but firstly Ada and Greg. The two spouses turned over and when their eyes opened, they smiled.

"Good morning." Greg greeted his wife.

Ada smile and likewise said, "Good morning yourself handsome."

As the pair got up, they went about their business, getting dressed and preparing for their day.

"I'll get breakfast started," Greg offered.

Being grateful for the break, Ada accepted, "Alright, I'll wake Morgan."

Ada entered the hallway that connected their house and slowly entered inside Morgan's room. It was a rather quaint room, filled with what one would expect a little girl to like. Morgan lay safely tucked in her bed. Grinning to herself, Ada crept in close and leaning in, whispered in her daughter's ear.

"Morgan? Oh, Morgan?"

The young girl stirred slightly, only to be prompted by a tickle via her mother. This moved her into a giggle and before long she opened her eyes.

"Good morning Mummy." Morgan greeted.

"Good morning sweetheart, now go and get ready, breakfast is going to be on the table." Ada urged.

The young girl got out of bed and went to work getting ready for the day. Ada chuckled at how eager her daughter went about, and left the room to head downstairs.

As she did so, Ada reflected at that moment on her life so far. It had been an eventful set of years. She recalled the day when Greg found her, a naked amnesiac. Sadly to this day, she had yet to regain her memories. Either they were buried deep inside her mind, or she was blocking them out. Either way, it was hard to say. All she knew was that she was happy with her current life. Things between her and Greg only blossomed from there. She healed the hurt Greg faced from the loss of his first wife, and although she didn't understand it herself, marrying Greg healed something within her. She couldn't shake the feeling that she lost someone very important in her life. Yet within those losses, Ada and Greg managed to find peace with one another, and from that sprang their daughter Morgan.

Ada recalled the day Morgan was born. She may not have her memories, but she was certain childbirth had been the hardest thing she had ever done. She was certain even in her buried memories, she had never given birth before. The pain had been intense as if she was being ripped apart. But then the pain had subsided as she bore the sight of her lovely daughter.

Pretty soon Ada and her family sat at the table together, enjoying a healthy breakfast.

"So I have another meeting today," Greg spoke.

"You mean about your book?" Morgan asked.

"That's right, sweetheart. If all goes well you'll be watching my book on the television." Greg answered.

Morgan smiled at her father, "I know you can do it, Daddy!" The young girl chimed.

Ada likewise smiled but could see the doubt in her husband's face. So she walked up to him and gave him a little peck on the cheek, "Have faith in yourself love," She smiled.

Greg smiled back, "Thanks dear, well I'd better be off."

Bidding his final farewells to his family, Greg left their house, ready to close a deal that could make the family some bit of money, least in terms of royalties.

The rest of the day went on without incident, Morgan played while Ada did general work, but as she did so, she realized something: they were lacking the proper ingredients for dinner!

"Morgan sweetie?" Ada called.

The young girl got up and dutifully walked over to her mother, "Yes Mummy?"

"We need to do a bit of shopping for tonight," Ada explained.

Upon hearing this, little Morgan threw up her arms and cheered, "Yay!"

In quick order, mother and daughter piled into the car and prepared to head to the grocery store. It was a rather quick drive into town, but to Morgan, it was always an excitable trip. The young girl always enjoyed trips into town. Every day was a new experience for Morgan and Ada was happy to share it with her. Before long they were in the aisles piling in the right ingredients needed for tonight's dinner.

"Is this good Mummy?" Morgan asked, holding a can of cream of chicken soup.

"That's right dear, we need two for the casserole though," Ada instructed.

Beaming, Morgan grabbed another can, "Okay!"

Ada smiled back. Honestly, she had to say that motherhood was the most rewarding experience she had undertaken. They continued down the aisles, primarily a certain aisle due to Morgan's insistence.

"Look Mummy! Look at all the different kinds of crisps!" Morgan exclaimed.

Indeed various lines of crisps or potato chips lay, all different flavors.

"All right Morgan, now only pick one okay?" Ada instructed.

"Okay!" Morgan cheered.

As Ada watched her child go about the different chip varieties, she spied something next to her. There were a pair of women, one of them garbed in a blue tank top with brown pants. Next to her was a woman in a brown coat and sepia-colored pants.

"How about this babe?" The coated woman asked.

The other woman brushed her brown hair out of her eye and looked over the selection the other woman presented.

"I'm not sure," She said looking over, "Did you check out the nutritional values?"

"Oh come on babe let's live a little!"

As she listened to the women talk, Ada placed a hand to her forehead.

"Mummy?" She heard Morgan's voice speak to her as she put a knee to the floor.

"Excuse me, Maam?" She heard one of the women ask, "Are you alright?"

But Ada didn't take heed, she simply concentrated on the woman's voice, and then, something popped in her head.

How embarrassing!

The two voices melded together and before long, Ada felt the pain subside. When she came to, she stared into Morgan's frightened eyes. As soon as she fully realized where she was, she quickly gathered up the food.

"I'm fine sweetie! Let's go." Ushering her child off, Ada headed towards the check-out lane and before long they were out the door and into the car.

The rest of the day went on without consequence. Ada was able to prepare dinner and by the time Greg got home, they had started to eat.

"So how was your day?" Greg asked.

Ada fumbled a bit with her fork as she ate away at the casserole, hamburger noodle to be precise, "Oh fine, just some shopping nothing major,"

Morgan shifted uncomfortably in her seat, the little girl wanted to say something, especially about earlier but wasn't so sure about it. There were some things that she felt shouldn't be said, especially when it might cause problems.

"Morgan, what's the matter?" Greg asked.

Apparently, Greg's perception caught on.

Ada could see how uncomfortable her daughter was and figured it was best to spit it out, "I had another one of my headaches today."

Greg's face went into full alarm, "Really? Was it a bad one?"

"Just a little bit of pain, it passed," Ada excused.

"Ada these headaches are happening more frequently. You've been taking your pills right?"

"Yes, it's nothing trust me,"

"Ada,"

"Greg!"

Her husband paused, awaiting his wife to speak.

"Greg, please I'm fine, let's just enjoy our dinner." Ada reasoned going back to her meal.

Greg wasn't so certain, looking down at the casserole, he suddenly spoke up, "Ada, how about we go on a little vacation?"

Ada looked up, "Vacation?"

"I mean it's a couple of weeks before Morgan starts school and I think maybe a little family time might be good for us."

"Greg is this about-"

"Ada please, let's just take some time, we don't even have to take a long trip, we can go somewhere nice."

"But on such short notice? Where could we possibly go?" Ada asked.

Greg took a bite of his casserole and said, "I have an idea."

And so the little family continued to eat, all the while Ada wondered what her husband had in store?
