Chapter 11

Hermione stops the pensieve there. They ended up doing a bit tonight. More than she was intending to do.

George and she wish Isabelle a good night and retire to their room.

He shuts the door and pulls her close. They silently hold each other tight. This was the first time that they had seen it from the other's view. "I'm so sorry, I caused you that much pain, Hermione. I have been drooling over you for years at that point, but didn't have enough courage to act on it." He picks her up in his arms and carries her to their bed.

After laying her down, he crawls onto the mattress and holds her to him. "I have always loved only you, Mrs. Hermione Weasley." He swears in her ear and kisses her deeply before shutting off the light.

They both lay there, not able to sleep, thinking of what was revealed in the pensieve. Hermione saw that he was trying to get Alicia to lay the eff off and that he was feeling the same as what he always claimed. George saw how much he hurt her with the whole Alicia thing.

In the morning, his guilt is so bad that he gets up and makes breakfast for the girls, leaving a note to Hermione on the pillow.

Love of my life,

I made breakfast for you and Belle. I decided to go in early to help Fred. I will see you later. Could we maybe go and get some lunch, just the two of us. Tell Belle she has the morning off, so we have a couple hours or so to ourselves.

Mainly, I want to apologize for how I acted in the past. You are the best thing that ever happened to me and watching how low you were because of me and my having to peel Alicia off of me with paint thinner. She never fully understood, until you and I married.

I never did anything, but there were a few times while you helped Harry, that she would "coincidentally" run into me in the Alley or the store and try to chat me up, on trips home with her husband. I seriously pity Flint, having to put up with her as a wife. I was hurting that you were not around and when my brother was an arse, I knew it was time to do something. -George

Hermione sighs at the note. He has worked himself up. She swears George goes through more moods than she did when she was pregnant. Well nothing for it, but to get ready for work.

Isabelle comes down and eats with her mother. She makes plans with her bestie to go shopping at the mall in town when Hermione tells her of her morning off.

Hermione had put her foot down with Molly when she and George married. No, they would not live at the Burrow. No, they were not living in the Wizarding World at all.

Hermione had paid off her parent's Tudor style five bedroom house with her war prize and they didn't want it, deciding to stay in Australia, so she had a floo stop installed and raised her camping wards. Their number is unlisted, their floo register is unlisted and their mail is at the post office.

The only mail that comes to the house is the owl post, which once the owl passes into the wards, it is disguised as an innocuous animal and the muggles pass it off as just a squirrel or pigeon landing on the backside of the roof.

When she and George formally announced that they were dating, Molly being the dramatist that she is, fell over faint, though they had been for a while at that point.

Hermione revived her and assured her that it was true. "We have been buzzing around each other for years. Before you start, Ron is younger by almost two full years physically, at least five magically and lets face facts, Molly, he has the maturity of a six year old. I always knew that whomever I go with is at least going to be a year older if not more. This whole Ron and Hermione thing is only in your son's and your own heads."

Hermione says goodbye to Isabelle and heads to work. When she gets to the Triple W, she is met with a blast from the past. Alicia Spinnet is in the house. She had just moved back from somewhere, not that Hermione really cares. She nods and goes out back as Fred and Angie coo over her.

Maybe this whole showing Isabelle is a bad thing. She and George were doing fine in their marriage, but now everything is starting to grate against her skin.

Speaking of skin, Hermione breaks out of her mood as her neck is being massaged. George had been in the lab and heard her sit down in the office. She groans softly as he works a knot out. "You just let George take care of you, Baby." He whispers and kisses her neck, his hands moving to her shoulders.

"You look and smell delectable, Hermione." He tells her as he pulls her up and starts in on her visible collarbones, thanks to her fitted scoop neck tee. Hermione throws her head back and jumps into his arms, eliminating the height difference that they suffer from in their day to day lives. He presses her against the office wall and kisses her like he did when they were just starting out. Somehow he knew that was what she needed, as he always has known.

They don't let it go beyond an old fashion make out session, they are in a public building after all. Even then, they hear a surprised sound from the doorway. George bows his head. "First, Belle. Now whoever that is. I swear it's getting to be the only time I get to really kiss you is in bed." He whispers, a little pissed off at whoever disrupted them this time.

Hermione looks over his shoulder and through his collar length hair. As she suspected, it was Alicia. "Must have thought that if she just popped back here, you would be ready for her finally." She whispers and puts her head to his chest. "Never. I have my personal goddess in my arms right now." He whispers back and kisses her nose. "I love you, Hermione. Never forget that you and Belle are the only ones in my heart. Well, I love my family, but you are mine."

She feels better as her legs drop to the floor. She is half way through the books and needs to finish them so she can go open at KWP.

George escorts her to her seat at the desk and sits beside her, ignoring Alicia, who still hasn't moved from her spot. "I came in so early, that I basically have restocked three quarters of the store. Fred said that I did more work this morning than I have in two years." George raises his brow. "What I am trying to say is that I have the day to spend with you. Want to?" He is almost as nervous as when he asked her to be his girlfriend. He could tell that she was irritated that Alicia was around again.

"Of course. I just need to finish this little bit and I will be going to KWP. We can get lunch and eat there, as I am scheduled for the whole day." She sees the usual light in his eyes return.
