Yes, Miku has won the battle against another evil version of herself. The sky has returned to normal; sunny with a few clouds. She slowly starts to come to and is found in the arms of her human friends. The question is, where are her other friends? What of Len, Rin, Meiko, and Kaito? Or Gumi for that matter?
"I'm so glad you're okay!" Kevin said, leaning his head on her shoulder.
"Yes, at least I think so." Miku smiled. "Now we need to get you two home."
"Do you know where the airport is from here?" Bex asked.
She nodded, pointing to a metro station just past the exit of the Inari Shrine. It can take them closer to their destination with hopefully no more troubles. Bex and Kevin help Miku get back on her feet and they lead her to the station. It was surprisingly empty, especially at this hour. Most of the seats were vacant, leaving the train to themselves.
Miku sits in between Bex and Kevin as they use her shoulders as pillows. It brought a smile to her face knowing just how much these two care for her. She couldn't help but wonder however, that maybe there are more that love her out there.
Upon arrival, they find themselves at a park in the middle of Sapporo. It appears a stage is being set up for a concert by none other than Rin and Len. They smiled and waved at them, but Miku was confused as to how and why they knew her name.
"What's wrong?" Rin asked.
"She seems to have forgotten a lot about who she is and who she knows." Bex answered.
"That's terrible!" Len exclaimed. "Maybe if she sings, it'll all come back to her?"
"It's worth a shot!" Kevin said, excited about the idea.
Rin hands Miku the set list containing some of the iconic songs like World is Mine, Popipo, Rolling Girl, Hand in Hand, Tell Your World, Shake it, and more. Somehow, they sounded familiar. Miku, out of reflex, sings parts of these songs on key and it surprised her. Perhaps her other memories are buried deep in her mind? The best thing she can do now is perform at this concert!
Bex and Kevin occupy the front row seats to watch the show. Luka, Meiko, and Kaito soon arrive with the last of the equipment needed for the concert. Once again, Miku doesn't remember them. But they all hope this show will restore what's been lost in her.
Once the stage was set, more people started showing up making this a nearly sold out performance. The tension was real backstage, Miku was sweating bullets knowing the show was about to start.
"Can I really do this?" she wondered. "Am I capable? Am I...even real?"
Miku placed a hand over her chest to feel for a heartbeat and there was one. Is it real or electronic? She fears to know! All she knows it's racing. Her friends attempt to encourage her by showing clips of past shows. Somehow, Miku felt at ease with this confirmation. But that'd soon change when she's called to the stage.
"You've got this, Miku!" they all cheered.
She slowly walks to the stage, hearing the thousands of people chant her name. When the first song began, Miku sang and danced to it perfectly to the point that it scared her. The crowd's cheers were loud and the star was not yet calm. She's insecure of her abilities even after what she's just witnessed. But as the next song began, her body moved to the beat and her voice sang along. It was a miracle! Miku knew she was born for this!
"Thank you everyone!" she said, taking a bow. "To be honest, I've been nervous about this concert. But here I am not missing a beat and it's all thanks to you."
A lone tear runs down her cheek knowing that thousands of people love her. All of this affection is enough to make one's heart explode, twice! Every song, every face in the crowd, it all came back to her as the show moved on. But the end was bittersweet; having to say goodbye to all of those people wasn't easy. Yet Miku knows she'll perform again next year which makes her happier than a kid on Christmas.
"We owned that stage!" Len boasted.
"Agreed! Miku, you did great!" Rin praised.
"I was nervous the whole time," she admitted. "But this was a much needed experience. I'm starting to feel more like myself. This is home, being with you and the people out there. Creating music and connecting our feelings. It's the best!"
Despite this overwhelming feeling of love in her heart, Miku knew her journey wasn't over yet. But she doesn't know where to go from here other than take Bex and Kevin home via the Tricolore Airline. While there's still daylight, she intends on taking them home.
The divas and our random human duo take a ride in a sick limousine to the Tricolore Airline. Kaito passed out drinks of any kind to our travelers knowing this was going to be at least an hour drive. Vocaloid music played at a low volume to act as white noise so everyone can chat and get to know each other. But it wouldn't be long until Miku remembers the times she's shared with the other singers. They laughed and joked about every awkward moment in their songs knowing it's all just an act anyway. Producers will compose any and all kinds of music for these Vocaloids so you can imagine how strange it can get.
Time flew like the wind, the building was in sight and it was time to say goodbye to Rin, Len, Luka, Meiko, and Kaito. Miku would pilot the plane to Germany and America, and then back to Japan. The plane would consist of the three of them; Miku, Bex, and Kevin. It's kind of strange, where is everyone? I guess no one wants to fly today. The skies are clear, the temperature is...comfortable.
"It hurts to move!" Bex complained as she sat down.
"Here, the pain meds must have worn off." Miku said, handing her a pill. "It will make you drowsy, but it should subside the pain."
She quickly swallows the white pill down with water before the pain gets worse. Sadistic Miku really did a number on them and it shows. Scars are sure to form, especially that one on Bex's chest. It'll be a reminder that she survived that horrid factory.
"How are you two feeling?" Miku asked.
"You ask that now?!" Bex growled. "We're in agony! I have trouble breathing and I'm sweating like a dog in a Chinese restaurant no thanks to these wounds!"
"My muscles still ache, but other than that I'm fine." Kevin said, massaging his right arm.
The poor guy was beaten a lot for not meeting the tyrant's expectations. It's amazing that none of his bones are broken. Bex as you know was sliced by that knife from head to toe for that Miku's sick pleasure and almost perished. But now they are escaping from this terror and heading back home. With Miku as their pilot, they should arrive safely. Yeah, you wish!
