Divatox's Space Base (turbo season)
The space base that housed the Divatox's subcraft was orbiting close to the moon. Divatox and her minions had been there for a while ever since her brother, General Havoc had given it to her before he left.
Elgar was still gleaming after he had taken out the blue ranger. "Ha ha!"
Porto and Rygog looked at the monster to which both of them considered Elgar nothing more than an idiot.
Elgar walked over to one of the piranhatrons and put his arm around the footsolder. "Did you see what I did down there? I took out the blue ranger by stabbing him in the arm! It was great!"
Elgar's enthusiasm was not contagious as he was the only was still high on his take down. When the piranhatron did not care to listen to him, the monster walked over to the other two monsters.
"Did you two see how I took out the blue ranger?" Elgar asked.
Porto shook his head. "You were bound to do something right sooner or later. Congratulations.
"Really. Taking out a pint sized kid," Rygog said wryly. "Great job on that one, ace." Rygog started to laugh.
As the monster continued to laugh at mock Elgar, Divatox came walking in. She did not seem like she was in a happy mood, but then again, she never really was.
Elgar moved towards his aunt. "Auntie D, did you see how I took out the blue ranger?"
Divatox decided to sarcastically mock her nephew. "Oh yes I did, and you did a great job on taking out the twelve year old. I'm sure battling little Justin was a hard task for you!"
"Hey!" Elgar grumbled.
"Do you want me to bow down to your greatness, oh magnificent one?" Divatox continued to mock his nephew. She grabbed him by his throat. "Why did it take you this long to put him out of commission? She yelled at him now, her demeanor had changed.
"But, wha…" Elgar said as he was let go and thrown to the ground.
Rygog and Porta continued to laugh at Elgar at his expense before straightening up after seeing Divatox glaring at the two.
"We need a plan to get the rest of the rangers," she said. "While Elgar did get Justin out of the picture, that means they're one ranger short, and we can take advantage of that."
As Divatox paced back and forth, she looked at the other two monsters. "Any ideas? And anything that doesn't involve putting the rangers in a giant pizza either."
"Well," Porto begin, "We could always divide the rangers and keep them busy leaving battling forces by themselves and not being together as a team."
Divatox's eyes opened up wide with delight. She smiled at the monster maker and scientific genius. "Ohhhhh, I like it. Go on!"
Rygog was now on the same page as Porto was. "We can send a monster down somewhere on the other side of the city, then we could have piranhatrons in another part of the city causing havoc, and then more of our forces in another part of the city causing problems."
"I like it!" Divatox smiled at the plan. "The four rangers divided, one sitting on the sidelines, it'll be easy!"
She turned her attention to Porto. "Now we just need a monster."
Porto had an idea of one that could provide enough muscle to do the job. "I think I have something in mind."
Porto walked over and pushed a few buttons on the control panel on the subcraft. Suddeny, the doors opened of the subcraft and a monster appeared. It was a giant ox with giant sharp horns and a muscular physic. He was also carrying a very large hammer as well that was positioned around his shoulder.
"Oxton at your service," the monster bowed to his master with a very gruff voice.
Divatox walked over to the creature and rubbed her hands around the monster's muscle. "Oooo, talk about a handsome hunk. You're what the little kids in school dream about."
"Yea! Ha ha!" The monster laughed in delight as Divatox finished glidding her hands around the monster. "And I'm him to take on the rangers and destroy them."
"And I just love your attitude as well," Divatox continued to give praise to the new monster. "Now go down there and start with the beach while the rest of our forces go to other parts of the city."
The monster disappeared from the her sight. Divatox turned and looked at the piranhatrons. "You all, get down to the park and start messing with the people."
The pirahatrons nodded and disappeared. Divatox then turned to her nephew. "Elgar, since you're on a hot streak for once, I want you to get down to the city and start trashing the area with a squad of more piranhatrons."
Elgar smiled at the notion of going back down and causing more problems. Perhaps he could even take down another ranger. "You got it!" He disappeared from her sight.
Divatox then looked at Rygog, her number one general. "Rygog, I want you to also take a squad of piranhatrons and start causing problems at the high school. Show all of those kids that staying in school can have some serious consequences!"
"Yes, my queen!" Rygog obeyed and then disappeared leaving Divatox and Porto alone.
"Soon Porto, the rangers will be out of the way and I shall be the ruler of the Earth! Viva la diva!" The villain said as she shouted in excitement.
Youth Center
The five turbo rangers and Billy were sitting in a nearby table. Billy looked around the place, just gazing around.
"Place hasn't changed one bit," Billy said as he looked around. "Of course, I'm two years removed from where I should be, so I wouldn't expect too many changes."
Lieutenant Stone came walking by the group. "Hey guys, I was just…." He trailed off when he saw Billy. "Billy?"
Billy looked at the police officer. "Lieutenant Stone, I see you traded your police gear for a name tag and serving tray."
"Well with Ernie leaving to go to the Peace Corps, he wanted me to take over for him," Stone said in a modest tone. "But I'm still with the force. I'm just doing this while taking a temporary leave."
However, the police lieutenant changed the subject. "But what about you? Last I heard you had moved away, according to what everyone said."
Billy had to quickly think on his feet after he heard what Stone said. "Well, I did move, but I'm hear visiting my parents."
Stone nodded. "Anyway, what can I get you all?"
They all looked each other. None of them wanted anything to drink or snack on. Billy then took the lead and spoke for the group. "Nothing for us Lieutenant Stone. But thank you."
Stone smiled, nodded, and moved on.
"So what was it like being on the original team?" Justin inquired.
The other rangers were also curious about the original blue ranger. To them, Billy was like an icon. They weren't rangers at the time when he was recruited, and they had watched all the news reports when he was battling all sorts of monsters and other things that Zedd and Rita had thrown at him and the others. For the turbo rangers, hearing about these from Billy's perspective was a rich experience in ranger history. For Billy, recalling these things was like it happened the other day.
Billy began. "I guess it's like being on this team. You get to know each other on a better level because you're fighting with them. You're learning from them and they're learning from you. If that makes any sense."
TJ nodded. "It sure does. I mean when I first got on here, I didn't know anyone. I barely even knew Cassie. Then suddenly I was not only the red ranger, but leader of a group of people I didn't know that much of."
"Yea, but it worked out for the best," Carlos approved of his friend's ability of rising up as not only the field commander, but also as a ranger.
"And you became a power ranger your freshman year of high school?" Cassie simply pressed on.
Billy nodded.
"And here we are as juniors," Ashley illuminated to their exposure as new rangers more.
Billy looked at Ashley with a reassuring face. "It doesn't matter what age you are, as long as you're doing good at being a ranger and helping other."
That was an absolute truth to the original blue ranger and what he said. After all, who would know more about being a ranger than one of the originals.
"I remember watching on the television when you guys fought the green ranger, and he was giant monster sized," Carlos said. "That must have been tough."
Billy did not like reliving that moment in his ranger days. It was a dark stretch of period for him, even if the event of Tommy being under a spell was short lived. Still, having to fight him, seeing how he almost destroyed them was something he didn't like to think about. Those thoughts did creep up from time to time, but like all things one moves on from bad events and looks for more positive things.
However, the turbo rangers knew by looking at Billy they had touched a nerve, a subject he did not want to share or even elaborate on.
Cassie decided to change the subject. "So what was the craziest monster you had to face?"
"Yea, one where you didn't want to take the thing seriously because it was just too weird," Justin leaned up and added to Cassie's question.
"The Pumpkin Rapper."
"The who?" Justin had a baffled look to him.
"A pumpkin monster that said things in the form of a rap," Billy answered. "Not really a hard monster but one that you couldn't help but think how absurd the thing was."
"A monster that raps, that's a pumpkin?" TJ couldn't believe. "Suddenly being baked into that pizza doesn't seem all that weird."
Billy gazed at the red ranger wondering what was the story behind what he said. However, before he could even press the red turbo ranger for more information, the communicators went off.
"Ah man, just when we were getting into the good parts," Justin grumbled.
As the five turbo rangers and Billy got up and started to move away from the room, they all ran into Bulk and Skull.
Skull had a defeated look to him. "I can't believe we got fired from another job." Skull sighed. "Bulkie, what are we going to do now?"
Bulk was tired of losing job, after job, after job. Things seemed so much simply when they were in high school. But before he could tell Skull what they're next plan of action would be, the both looked at the five rangers walk past them along with Billy.
"Woah, Billy?" Bulk looked at the man.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Skull stated. "We thought you moved away, at least that's what everyone told us."
Billy wanted to talk to the two and catch up on what they were doing with their lives. After all, in Billy's present time they were part of the junior police patrol that was for students in high school. But Bulk and Skull weren't in high school anymore.
"Fellas, I'm here visiting my parents. But I would like to catch up and see what is going on with you two at a later time," Billy had to quickly leave as the other five had already exited. Billy padded Bulk's arm as a sign of respect and left leaving the two wondering where Billy was going to.
Outside the Youth Center, Billy joined the other five rangers and listened to the conversation.
"Yo, yo, rangers, major problems throughout the city," Alpha said. "Get up here pronto."
The five turbo rangers and Billy tapped their communicators. Six beams of light flashed and hurried away from the grounds of the Youth Center and flew into the sky.
