Hello! Surprise! I wanted to give you guys another chapter for two reasons this week, one, well its Christmas week, and two, well I just wanted to have this be a thank you! Because you guys, all reviewers, follows and favorites, well you guys are the best! Let me tell you, I have never been particularly good at maintaining and continuing to write for a fanfiction, but all your reviews have been so encouraging!

Anyways, so this is both a Christmas present and a thank you!

Onto the reviews...

SilentAmbiance: I'm glad your fingers are doing well! And yes, Bonnie is trying is best. That is interesting! I mean, I can totally see it, I've never played FNAF 2 personally, but I've watched a bunch of playthroughs, and I can see how people would dislike them. But I am excited to bring them in! I have some ideas for them along with the other animatronics as well! And yes, Leo has always had a bit of difficulty coming to the realization that people care about him. And thank you for understanding! Merry Christmas to you as well!

TU4QU0I53T4IAN6L3: That is a very accurate perception of the scene! That's how I kind of view the relationships between the bots and children, like two personalities fighting over control of one body. And yes, it is good that Jeremy didn't take out Acid! As for how long it took, well, there are reasons for that, sometimes when lots of different people have wronged or betrayed you, faith in others is deeply shaken. After being hurt, there is a more likely chance that you won't see it when people genuinely care for you. Am I hinting at something about Leo? Perhaps. :) As for the toys, yes they will certainly be a problem! in more ways then one would initially assume!

I own nothing but my own characters.

Please enjoy!

Chapter Nineteen
The Truth...

If Leo hadn't had his revelation, he probably would've chewed Jamie out for being two hours late.

Not that he still wasn't tempted, but the guard ground out a reluctant thank you for taking him before he kept silent.

He planned on the ride going smoothly and quietly, as he stared out the window. The doctor had given him a wheelchair, which Leo had stared at like it was some kind of medieval torture contraption.

He couldn't believe he had to be in a wheelchair now.

It only doubled his feeling of uselessness.

But at least they gave back his uniform clean.

However he was feeling thoroughly humiliated by being pushed to the car by Jamie, but not of course before he tried to turn the wheels himself, only to let out a string of curses that drew him quite a few stares.

Finally he relented and let Jamie push it, even if Leo felt like murdering the waiter and everyone in the room.

Perhaps his reaction was dramatic, but he was in pain, and unable to use three fourths of his limbs, so yeah. He was mad and he didn't care.

The only other reason he didn't chew Jamie out was because of the fact that he was trying to be a bit nicer to the waiter, especially as Leo watched the man pay for all the visit's bills in one swoop. Leo still had to contend with the last visit's bills. But it was still a big relief on his dusty wallet.

The revelation did help, but so did his bills being paid.

Yes, yes, it left a guilty feeling lingering in him about how he has been treating the waiter, Leo would acknowledge that between the two of them Jamie was the much better person.

From the beginning, all Jamie seemed to want to do was help him, and Leo hadn't been grateful whatsoever. He was big enough to admit when he was wrong.

So after a good chunk of time in silence, Leo opened his mouth. Only for Jamie to do the same thing.

"Listen Jamie I-"

"Look, Leo there-"

Both men pause and look at each other, and Leo nodded his head for him to continue, more than willing to let him go first.

The waiter nodded and cleared his throat with a breath, "look, I was...debating on how to tell you this. But...Bonnie found a note in the back room, and then one in your office."

At that Leo felt his body stiffen up, and found himself grateful for the pain meds that he had been given.

"...what did the note say?" He asked slowly, keeping his eyes on the passing land around them. If Leo had ever been more of a nature guy, he would've acknowledged how beautiful the drive was.

But he had never been the biggest fan of the outside world.

"...well, it was from John. Don't worry, you aren't fired. Actually I'm pretty sure he is certainly going to need you..." Jamie trailed and Leo looked at him brow furrowed deeply.

"Jamie...what was on the note?"

"...it's the toys, they are bringing the toys here." At that rushed statement, Leo sucked in air sharply and felt his anxieties rise all over again.

" ^%#%%, when?" He asked, his eyes were on the road before them and not on the driver next to him. It wasn't supposed to be for another week or two! But honestly, Leo should've expected it, with how good things were going lately...something was bound to happen.

"...in two days." The waiter finished quietly, his eyes focused on the road before them as well.

"%^$^." Leo cursed before sighing and closing his eyes, "how were they when you left?"

"Chica, Foxy and Freddy were fine, he is up and working by the way," at that Leo just nodded, his thoughts spinning too much to give a verbal response, "it seems only Bonnie knows, he pulled me aside and..." Jamie swallowed causing Leo to look at him, it was then the guard noticed that the redhead was a shade paler than normal. "He uh, he demanded why the toys were being brought in, I of course didn't know but..." he took a deep breath, "well, let just say, I don't know how you can be so buddy buddy with them, they are...pretty scary when they want to be." He said softly, and Leo paused, swallowing and looking out the window.

"...yeah, trust me I know." He whispered, his eyes flickering to his hands and leg.

On a basic level he trusted the bots, but could he honestly say that he felt safe around them? With all the injuries he had been subjected to, could he genuinely say that he felt safe?

...in a weird twisted way, he kind of did.

He shouldn't, there were very few reasons why he should. But he didn't tremble in their presence like he used to.

"You just...kind of get used to them I guess." That was more of a mumble, but it was honestly the best explanation he could come up with.

By any right Leo should be afraid, but he wasn't, well, not as much as he was before at least. Perhaps it was because of his time in prison where he was exposed to a lot of hostile people all the time.

But whatever, that was behind him.

Now he had to deal with dead children and occasionally hostile robots.

"...how...how are you going to do this Leo? I mean...you can't even walk anymore, and now there are going to be new animatronics to deal with." Jamie voiced, and Leo realized the main reason why he wanted to talk about this.

"I'm not quitting Jamie." he said tersely, instantly recalling how these conversations usually went. But that's when Jamie sighed in resignation causing the guard to look at him brow furrowed.

"I know. I know that you aren't, for some stupid reason you are determined to stay on the job that is eventually gonna kill you. But whatever." He sighed again making Leo blink at him, "I know you aren't quitting, but you need to figure this out. Maybe we can see if we can hire another guard to help you out? See if Joey and Acid can stay for the nights?" He proposed and Leo took a breath calming from his surprise at Jamie's acknowledgement of his determination.

As stupid as it was, this was the first place that Leo felt like he belonged, and there was no way he was giving that up.

...plus he still needed money to get the...things that he wanted.

But Jamie's proposal was out of the question.

"No, the bots will hate that, they barely tolerate Joey and Acid, and that's only for a few hours at a time."

"Well you need help Leo! We don't know what condition these guys will be in mentally, and what if the other bots start acting up as well?" He asked, and Leo turned to look at him, only to find the man looking concerned.

"...Jamie, it will be okay, the bots don't want me hurt anymore. Alright? They will make sure I'm safe." He assured, but Jamie didn't look convinced.

Leo...wasn't completely convinced himself, but he chalked it up to his own paranoia. The bots had been nothing but good to him, except for the unintentional bite.

He would not however, go anywhere near their teeth again.

The rest of the car ride was in silence, and as they sat in the parking lot of Freddy's, under the moonlight. Neither of them moved for a second, the guard's eyes were on the pizzeria, back to where he spent all of his days and nights. The place was riddled with tragedy and anguish of varying forms, yet someone it felt more like home then any other place Leo had been in.

Granted he didn't really remember any other places.

The guard let out a breath and struggled to get out of the car, Jamie took note and got out quickly coming over to his side and getting the wheelchair out. Leo looked at it with disdain before sighing and reluctantly accepting the help of the waiter as he was put in what seemed to be is only access to mobility. He never thought he would be in a wheelchair, but here he was.

The waiter proceeded to push Leo toward the building, and as he did the guard struggled a bit internally before finally he took a breath.

"Jamie, hold up." He ordered and the red-head came to a stop.

"Yeah?"

"...I wanted to say thank you...I haven't always acknowledged everything you have done for me." He explained quietly, and the waiter didn't say anything for a moment causing to Leo tense a bit.

"...no problem Leo. I'm just glad I can help someone."

With that statement he took the guard inside, using Leo's keys to unlock the door.

The lights were off, an indication that the cleaners had left already. But when Jamie turned them on, there they found all the bots sitting around and waiting.

Chica as expected was the first one to get up, she came over and looked over him worriedly.

"Leo! Are you alright? Do you still have all your fingers?!" She asked looking down at his hands. Leo let out a chuckle and held up his hand wiggling all five and biting back the pain.

"Yep, all five still there." His eyes flickered to Freddy, the bear had been looking at him but instantly looked away.

The guard glanced up at his chauffeur and nodded to the bear. Jamie swallowed, his eyes flickering from Leo to the bear and to Leo's hand, clearly uncomfortable.

Chica seemed to notice this, and came up next to Jamie who instantly stepped away from her eyes widening. The poor guard almost tripped over his own feet.

"I can take him Jamie!" She said cheerfully and pushed Leo over to Freddy. The bear glanced at him and dipped his head.

"My apologies Leo...I had no intention of hurting you, I'm afraid I couldn't control myself." He apologizes in the same formal tone as usual. Leo let out a breath.

"I know. I'm not upset with you." He took another deep breath, "I know it was an accident." He could almost feel Bonnie's stare on him. The rabbit was upset, and Leo knew it was because of the toys. He would have to deal with that soon.

"It shouldn't have happened." The bear insisted, bringing Leo's attention back to him. The guard took a breath and rolled his shoulders, it was one part of his arms that didn't hurt when moved.

"Yeah, well it did." He looked around before back at the bear, "there are no hard feelings, really." Freddy nodded, but his eyes were still on the ground. Leo wasn't sure what to say or do next…

"Leo...do you mind if we talk?" Bonnie's voice made him jump. He looked over at the lagomorph and tensed a bit.

...yeah he didn't look happy.

Briefly his memory flashed back to what he liked to call the dark days, and his injured limbs ached a bit at the reminder.

He bit the inside of his cheek trying to remind himself that things were different now. Bonnie wouldn't consciously hurt him anymore.

The guard nodded, "sure...uh, guys why don't you decide what card games to play while we are gone?' He suggested, mostly to Foxy and Chica, the bird and fox nodded.

In getting back into routine, Leo forgot that Jamie was there until the waiter cleared his throat, causing all of the attention to be drawn to him.

"Um...I'm probably gonna head out...you um, you okay for the night Leo?" The waiter asked, his tone hinting at his distrust for Leo's companions. The guard nodded firmly.

"Yes, I'll be okay, go home and rest kid." He said, but more like ordered. Jamie nodded and gave both him and the animatronics one last look before leaving.

"Alright, we'll be right back guys. Figure out what you want to play." With that Bonnie took the handles of his chair and took him to the office. Leo hated being pushed around, but even he wasn't stubborn enough to use a crutch with two messed up hands.

Bonnie wasn't sure if he could get a migraine, but it certainly felt like he had one, Jeremy had been speaking almost nonstop. The hare hoped that if he spoke to Leo the kid would calm down. But to be honest he wasn't entirely certain.

He put the guard in the middle of the room and then went to either side shutting both doors. However with one glance at Leo he realized that may have been a mistake. The guard looked a bit more like a cornered animal again. It wasn't a common look that the bots saw, but it was usually when Leo felt threatened. He would hike up his shoulders, tilt his head down a bit and watch everything from under the shadow of his bangs and brow.

Bonnie wasn't naïve to believe that he had completely earned the trust of the guard before him, they out of everyone had the most arguments. Plus the fact that Bonnie was really the only one who had hurt Leo didn't really help.

"...um...Bonnie, what's going on?" The guard asked as the rabbit turned toward him. His ears were drooped and shoulders dropped.

"...I saw a note, it was meant for you, but Acid had it, so I read it." The hare confessed, before looking up at Leo, the guard didn't look surprised, Jamie had probably told him before they got here.

The hare turned his head away from the man and to some of the children's drawings on the wall, "you knew about this didn't you? The way John spoke indicated that you had talked about this before. That's what all the renovations were about, and why whenever we brought them up you brushed us off." He concluded, doing his best to keep the accusing note from his voice.

There was silence for a few moments, aside from the arguing outside and Leo's breath there was no noise.

"...yeah, I was trying to figure out how to handle it. I heard...that the toys were needing parts and you guys were used as a source...I know you don't have a good dynamic or relationship with them. I just...didn't know how to approach the situation, but I was going to tell you. I promise." The guard ended earnestly, causing Bonnie to look at him a moment before mocking a breath.

"Yeah well it was still a jerk move. Now we only have two days to prepare for them coming and the others don't even know yet." The rabbit scolded, his ears pulled back. Leo let out a breath and rolled his shoulders again.

"...I'm sorry." There was silence for a moment before the guard continued, "I know you are mad about them coming, but I can't change that. If I put up a fight, John could very easily fire me."

The rabbit mocked a breath and looked to the side, "you don't understand Leo, they ripped us apart to fix them, and then they proceeded to be jerks the entire time. Claiming they were superior, and that we were garbage." There was an edge to his robotic voice, and Leo gazed at him quietly.

"I can't do anything to stop them coming." he admitted quietly gazing at the large purple bot before him.

Bonnie looked to the side mocking another breath. He couldn't be that angry with Leo. John was the type of man to fire someone for this.

"The kids aren't going to be happy either. And if they decide to take over, I can't promise your safety." The hare warned looking back at the human before him. Leo nodded solemnly.

"I know. I'll be okay, I've bested them before."

Despite the reassuring words, the hare couldn't help but look over the fragile, and damaged human before him.

Bonnie would give it to him, Leo was stubborn and determined, but wasn't there a point where stubbornness turned to stupidity?

However Bonnie had heard the conversations between the guard and the red headed waiter. Leo wasn't going to give up, no matter what anyone said.

The hare opened his maw to speak, but that's when Foxy appeared in the window. Leo must've seen Bonnie's gaze because he looked over as well, and the rabbit tried to ignore how he jumped a bit.

In his defense, that was where they always looked at him when they had been hunting him down.

Bonnie went over to the door and opened it, Foxy peered his head in.

"We've picked out a game lads." He informed, before glancing between them, ears raised. "Is there somethin' we should know about?" His singular yellow eye flickered between the human and animatronic before him, and Bonnie honestly debated telling his comrade.

"Nothing really, Bonnie was just asking me a question." Leo spoke up before the hare could, and the purple bot couldn't help but look at the human next to him.

Why wasn't he telling him?

The fox nodded and put his hook on the doorframe, "well, whenever ya guys would like to join us..." he trailed off, and Leo nodded.

"We'll be in there soon, promise." He offered a half smile, and Foxy nodded before leaving.

"When are you planning on telling them?" Bonnie asked looking down at the human before him. Leo took a breath closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.

"I don't know, I'm going to talk to John to see if I can extend our time before they arrive. Just...don't say anything...please? I will figure this out but I need time." The human looked at the bot, and for a moment they gazed at each other. Until finally Bonnie nodded.

"Alright, but only for so long Leo. They deserve to know." The bunny said seriously, and Leo nodded before taking a breath. Bonnie came up behind the human and pushed the wheelchair out of the room and into the main room where the others were. He noted with distaste that Foxy had once again cleared one of the tables and dumped it all onto the floor.

"You really couldn't have just put it on another table?" He whined gazing at the mess before him, Foxy looked up at him and then down at the cups, plates, and tablecloth that sat before him.

"Its more entertaining to do it this way!" The fox declared before turning back to the rabbit and grinning. "Plus seeing you get flustered is always amusing."

Bonnie opened his maw to protest, but Freddy sent him a look that made him close it instantly.

But that wasn't because the bear sent him a stern look...he sent him a concerned one.

One that the hare had grown accustomed to over the years, it was one that made all of his endoskeleton stiffen up.

Jeremy wasn't the only one speaking again. Freddy's worried and downtrodden look indicated only one thing, Gabriel was speaking with him as well. That knowledge made Bonnie look at the other's, even Foxy, despite his words even he was tense. His claw tapping against his exposed leg, and with a quick look at Chica, he knew that Suzie was speaking as well.

...did Jeremy tell the other children...?

Internally the lagomorph cursed, he hadn't noticed that Jeremy had gone quiet. He had been so busy speaking with Leo he failed to take note of Jeremy's sudden lack of input, he had to have told the other children. That was the only thing that explained the other bots reactions.

His grip on the handle's of Leo's wheelchair tightened causing the metal to bend and groan, the human looked back at him but Bonnie was watching the others closely. It wasn't always the case, but quite often when the children spoke, it wasn't too long before they started imposing their will upon the animatronics.

The fox proceeded to quiet down as well as Fritz likely spoke to him more. A moment or two passed before Leo seemed to notice the obvious silence around him. Bonnie watched as he glanced between all four of the animatronics and shifted in his wheelchair. "...uh, what's going on? Foxy said you guys picked a game..." he trailed glancing again between them all.

"Is it true Leo?" Chica asked suddenly her eyes still on the ground.

"Hey! We said we weren't going to say anything until we knew for sure!" Foxy protested his ears pulling back as he turned to look at her.

"No, she is right Foxy, this needs to be discussed." The bear corrected causing the smaller predator to pause and debate whether or not to continue to protest, until finally he nodded and stepped back a bit.

"Heh...uh...is what true…?" The human asked, looking more nervous by the second.

"...Leo they know. Apparently Jeremy told the other children." Bonnie filled in quietly and the human tensed up taking a deep breath.

"Yeah, they told us that the toys were coming…is that true?" The hen asked again, looking up at their guard. Her frame was shaking around her, and honestly Bonnie couldn't blame her. While he had gotten his face and arm removed, she had gotten both her hands removed. The toy version of her hadn't been...mean per say, but she hadn't been kind either.

However she had been the kindest out of the bunch.

"...yes. The toys will be coming in two days." The human informed quietly not looking at any of them.

There was silence for a few moments, before finally...

"I don't want them here." Chica's voice broke the silence first, it was small but determined.

"I...I know...I know...Bonnie...said the same thing." Leo's voice wasn't much louder than the hen's, his own eyes were casted to the ground and Bonnie took notice of the deeper breaths he was taking.

"How long have you known about this?" The bear finally asked, and Leo shifted in his seat. Bonnie couldn't help but continue to watch, as the human refused to lift his gaze.

"...since the renovations started. John first spoke to me about it." He confessed quietly, causing another silence to drop over them like a blanket.

"Lad...ya have known this whole time...and known our distaste for the plastic wannabe's...and yet ya still kept it from us?" The pirate asked, his eye slightly narrowed and ears pulled back.

"No!...yes…? Maybe? Look! I was just trying to figure out how to best approach it! I mean...think about it this way! If it hadn't been a need for the renovations then Foxy you wouldn't be getting repaired right now!" The guard defended but still refused to look at them.

He lied…

The voice of Jeremy made Bonnie tense up again, and by the tensing of the other bots, the rabbit sensed he wasn't the only one in communication.

"I just...things were going so great! And...we can figure it out right? I mean...I've been around people who have been awful to me all the time! Not...not that it's the same of course...but this could also help promote business! Which means you guys can be around more kids...you like that right?"

"Yeah until they replace us again!"

Everyone in the room tensed at the higher pitched voice of Chica. It was only then that Leo looked up at her and swallowed as he witnessed what they all had already seen.

Chica's eyes were glowing.

She was finally looking up, her head cocked to the side dramatically as she stared down the human before her. She was sitting at one of the tables but leant forward looking like she was ready to lung at him.

"T...they...they won't...I won't...I won't let them...I won't let them hurt you..." The guard assured, but his voice wavered a bit as he watched the hen a lot closer than before.

"But you lied! You lied and you've cheated before! You could be lying now!" Bonnie watched as Leo physically flinched at Freddy's higher voice. The rabbit stared at the now glowing eyes of the bear and slowly he started pulling the wheelchair back. Foxy looked between the bear and hen before stepping forward.

"He didn't mean ta lie ta us kits, he was gunna tell us...he just didn't know when." The predator attempted and Leo nodded vigorously.

"Exactly! I was going to definitely tell you before they arrived!" he exclaimed, but the bear and hen were already on their feet.

"But he is still going to let them here! And we will be put in the dark rooms! And we will be taken apart and it will hurt all over again!" Chica-not-Chica cried, and Leo took a breath leaning back in his seat.

"I...I don't have a choice Suzie! I would get fired otherwise!" He tried, the hen stopped momentarily at the mention of her name, but just as things seemed to have calmed down a tad, Bonnie felt his vision start to grow dark.

He stopped in his tracks suddenly, causing the wheelchair to bump back into him. Leo flinched and looked back at him.

"L...Leo...he…" The hare tried to get his voice box to work, but it's like someone else had seized control. The realization of his quickly disappearing control, familiar feeling made him forcibly make himself stumble back and release the wheelchair.

"Bon...Bonnie h...hey st...stay with m...me..." the human tried letting out a bit of a nervous laugh. The lagomorph could barely see him anymore, his vision was so staticky and blotchy.

"Bonnie isn't home right noooow!" Jeremy's voice escaped his maw in a singsong fashion, and the rabbit tried to raise a hand to cover it in a futile attempt to silence the child, but his joints were locked.

No...no not again, he never remembered what happened when the kids took over! He couldn't let them hurt Leo, the man was in a wheelchair! There was no way he could escape! Bonnie needed to stay online, he needed to make sure that-

Leo almost felt his heart drop out of his ribcage at the sight of Bonnie's magenta eyes glowing. His mouth went dry and he could hear the blood rushing to his ears.

His eyes flickered back to the other two animatronics. They were hovering nearby, eyes glowing, Foxy seemed to have already converted as well, and was hunched over, both paw and hook out and ready.

The guard swallowed again glancing between all the bots-

No, not the bots, these weren't the bots, because they wouldn't act like this. Not anymore.

He stared at the children before him and felt himself shiver, they all were staring now. All seven glowing eyes upon him.

"He...heh...um...uh, I...I know some...some more games we can play…?" He offered a sheepish smile to them all.

"Ch...cheater...liar..." Jeremy growled slowly, making Leo jerk around to look at him.

"B...but I'm the good guy, remember? I helped save that kid!" He tried leaning away from the bot but ending up leaning toward the others.

That was probably one of the worst choices he had made in a long time.

Leo heard the joints creaking before it happened, and that was the only reason he turned away from Bonnie and to the sound.

Only to see all three of the animatronics before him, lunging at him, with all their maws open wide.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter!

What did you think of Bonnie's talk with Leo? Or even Jamie's? What about the input of the kids at the end? How do you think that Leo will get out of the situation?

I'd love to hear what you think!

Have a Merry Christmas (And Happy Holidays) Everyone!
