A week after Malcolm had revealed his machine, Josh was in the house watching old movies on their TV.
"Why aren't you out with Skye?" asked Elisabeth who had no work today.
"She's been avoiding me since after Zoe's party," said Josh.
"I probably shouldn't tell you this, but she came to me a week ago looking for some recipes that you like," said Elisabeth.
"Why would she do that?" asked Josh as he sat up to look at her.
"Why don't you go ask her?" asked Elisabeth.
"I will," said Josh as he turned off the TV before leaving the house.
"You're in for a surprise," said Elisabeth with a smile. Later at Skye's house, Josh just knocked on the door.
"Coming!" said Skye. When she opened the door, Skye was a little surprised to see Josh there.
"Oh, hey Josh, I was just about to call you," said Skye with a smile. She was wearing an apron covered in flour and even had some in her hair.
"You were?" asked Josh.
"Yeah, I just finished some recipes of your mom's, I was wondering if you could try them," said Skye as she invited Josh in.
"Is that why you have been avoiding me?" asked Josh.
"I was trying to add my own twists to them," said Skye as she walked him to the kitchen, where some cookies and brownies were on the table.
"Are those my mom's blueberry cookies?" asked Josh.
"With blackberries added in, I also made her triple chocolate brownies and added a lemon drizzle," said Skye.
"That actually sounds good," said Josh. An oven timer then went off.
"Your mom even gave me this cake recipe," said Skye as she pulled a cake out of the oven.
"Is that my mom's raspberry cake?" asked Josh with a shocked expression.
"Yeah," said Skye who turned nervous as he asked her that.
"She told you the story behind that cake, right?" asked Josh while slowly looking up at her.
"Yeah, she made it for your dad every time she was pregnant," said Skye as she put the cake down on a table.
"Are you pregnant?" asked Josh with a worried expression.
"I am," said Skye as she grew even more worried.
"That's great," said Josh as he picked her up and spun around while smiling.
"I thought you were going to be mad or something," said Skye with a smile.
"Of course not, I was just worried about what my dad and Commander Taylor will do when they learn of this," said Josh as he stopped spinning and sat her down.
"You have a point there," said Skye.
"But we can break it to them with all of these treats," said Josh as he looked at the table.
"Yeah, I may have gone overboard just a little bit," said Skye.
